    Comparing it to print would introduce new possible sources of error:
    - You would need to count on the printing process not having changed the ratios in any way (and the digital processing before print, for that matter).
    - You would need to scan the material, and normal flatbed scanners are very inexact in the geometrical realm. (Devices like an old Linotype-Hell Topaz might do, though, and there were specialized scanners used for analyzing arial photography from planes and satellites that were build to be geometrically exact.) Scanners working on the "shooting one photograph of the whole page" principle might do better concerning geometry, but I haven't experimented with those yet, so I don't know how good they actually are in that realm.

    I was thinking more towards that maybe statistical analysis of the ratio differences in the (近), (中) and (遠) variants of the LD and HD artwork might give some insights, but that would be a painfully manual process. And work intensive. Statistics need sample size.

    Hot take: Quibi is taking a break or whatever because he can't keep his sanity with both Alyinghood and Bohemian Waxwing being in here at the same time.

    If Quibi is reading this, I'm sure he understands what I mean, because bloody nora you two both could easily pass as sentient quantum computers or something - and I say this as the resident computer hardware geek to boot!

    While playing UBW Good Route, right at the end of it (only one choice remaining) this error showed up https://imgur.com/ok3PLCb and I don't know what to do. Tried that thing of deleting the config.ksc, but it kinda erased the save. Where I messed it up?

    The newest version of the patch should fix that error.

    First, move any .xp3 file starting with "patch" out of the installation directory.

    Second,

    Place the .xp3 files from the following link inside the "Patches" folder into the installation directory.

    For the save location, delete config.ksc, open the game, and select the folder where the save data is located.

    Hey two quick minor favors.


    #1 - Bohemian Waxwing, could you rename the "N64" folder on your ftp to something that doesn't make me think of the late 90s Nintendo home console? e.g. something like "NM64" or "waifu2x" or the like.

    As someone that does a lot with retro emulation and romhacks, it really throws me off...


    #2 - Alyinghood, I've been seeding the torrent for Insani's translation of the 2003 Fate/stay night trial demo for a few years now (from before you even joined the forum actually) since Insani's torrent seems to be straight-up dead to the point that I had to dig out a copy of the trial demo from my old archived hard drive backups in order to seed it. Since my upload is slow and for all I know I truly am the only person seeding it, could you help seed it as well please for extra redundancy? I mean it's only like 100MB anyway which is a drop in the bucket compared to some other things (and you obviously don't need to provide your own copy of the trial demo in order to start seeding since I'm current seeding it as I type this).

    Hello there, i need help. 4k mode with original patch.xp3 doesn't work. When i delete original patch_hd.xp3 or rename patch_hd_uhd.xp3 to patch_hd, game crashes. Crashes when start The Prologue or save. In Prologue menu fine.
    When using patch.xp3 from reddit game works, but slowly.
    Fate Ultimate Prepartched from torrent (cdda8a7b047a55e55baf38d7b842e886052aa1bd), installed last patches from mega.

    Crash report: On android when Saber asks Assassin if he really doesn't want to continue their battle, the game crash.

    @if exp="kag.isHd" is causing it. That's the only place the instruction is used in the whole Fate route (idk about the other routes, we haven't translated them yet), but isHD is not recognized on android.
    I think it have to do with the removal of HD because it was causing glitches or something like that in beta 1.0

    It's fixed on our side but putting the instruction in ";", so I don't need help with that, but I think this may be happening in other languages too.

    Another issue I've run into over the last few days is that, if you use 4096bit RSA keys for whatever reason (e.g. the elusive "update notifier"?), electron apps will not work at all on Win7 systems that are presumably not running more recent updates (I've not yet been able to confirm their status on a more recently updated Win7 system).

    This similarly impacts any Chromium-based browser, e.g. they are not even able to access websites like https://protonmail.com or https://matrix.org while Gecko-derived browsers have no issue (I'm guessing they bundle their own copy of OpenSSL?).

    The main thing relevant to our interest is that it would make it much more painful to quickly and easily test for OS compatibility if stock vanilla non-updated Win7 SP1 does not work.

    Are you using Windows 7 without service pack 1 (SP1)? Alternatively, are you using Windows Vista without service pack 2 (SP2)? (instructions on how to check which service pack you're using: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001099.htm)

    If the answer is "no" to both of those questions, then are you using the latest v1.0 public beta linked in Quibi's signature?

    Got my hands on v2.1.10 of the free Android Fate route. I mounted the obb file with UltraISO (since it's a FAT disc image) and extracted the content. The files of interest are

    Code:
    fileinfo_movie_ex.txt
    fileinfo_saber_ex.txt
    movie_ex.dat
    saber_ex.dat
    Basically the txt files are an index table as to where in the binary dat files specific assets are stored. It looks like this:

    I had less success with saber_ex.dat. The extracted files seem to be encrypted. Probably something to do with the 7. and 8. value of the index table, which is different for the image archive:
