So I've been running into an error when I play the game on HD mode, where it won't let me look at the history. I get this pop up https://imgur.com/L30XF2n

Looking at what I think is the error log gives me this

Check that the source directories are correct.

It was the fault of Tanner's recording, not the VN itself.

Before the "Saber in the field" scene in the beginning of the PS2 Fate OP, everything was in-sync (including during the two 2004 classic OPs). From his commentary it seems like he cut away at that specific scene for a while and then came back, but as indicated by the background music skipping a bit of the song at that moment, it sounds like he failed to sync the video and audio correctly.

You can farther tell this is the case because in the middle Wakame Paradise scene at the end, Tanner starts reading the text a smidgen before the text actually appears on-screen, proving that it's his video that is being delayed vs his recorded audio.

I'm looking for servants details Japanese text dump (the text that tells about the servant's past in the status menu).
I've found Saber, Lancer and Archer.
    Need help finding the rest.

Is this release coming any time soon? The game is unplayable IMO with that bug.

Maybe? No ETAs at this point in time.

I wish there was some on-topic way for me to mention how AMD just absolutely ThreadRIPped Intel today, but alas I cannot think of any way to do so...

2020 Update: lol Intel, now they're ThreadRIPped even worse than before.

Since it was me that created the corrected silent audio waveform and because I love coming up with excuses to make BPS patch files for non-ROM purposes, I put together a quick patch that will let you use that specific "staticy audio" fix in the current v0.9.1 version.

EDIT: MAKE SURE YOU KEEP BACKUPS OF THE ORIGINAL XP3 FILES! I have no idea what will happen if/when future updaters and/or installers come in contact with modified unofficial XP3 files, so be sure you replace the patched XP3 files with the originals before you do any sort of updating in the future.

BPS patch file for "patch.xp3": https://ttm.sh/EEG.bps

I also made a second patch that does a similar thing but for "data.xp3"; I do not know if this is actually required to completely fix the issue or not or if it ends up silencing actual important audio, so only apply this patch if you still find problematic non-intentional staticy audio playing (there is intentional staticy audio in situations when the screen itself shows visual static):
    https://ttm.sh/EEK.bps

If you aren't familiar with BPS patch files, then the easiest way to apply them would probably be via the "Rom Patcher JS" web app - just select the according original XP3 file for "ROM file" and the according downloaded BPS file for "Patch file" (don't worry about using any internet bandwidth - the selected files are not uploaded to anywhere when using this web app as all processing is performed locally and directly in your web browser using your own CPU).

If you by chance are at least already familiar with IPS patch files (typically used for videogame ROM hacks and mods), then you may want to consider using the offline program "Floating IPS" which can apply and create both IPS and BPS patch files.

Once you have the newly-patched XP3 file, rename it so that it has the original file name (patch.xp3 or data.xp3) and put it into the same folder where you found the original XP3 file(s).

Supposedly both of the BPS patch download links will be automatically deleted in a year, and I intentionally have not mirrored them elsewhere because by then I really would hope that people are using an actual newer version of "ultimate edition" that integrates the according fix instead (assuming it actually gets released that is, speaking of which...)

I mean, the last three (or was it four?) times Quibi gave an ETA they all fell through and I subsequently made a joke about Quibi's ETA accuracy being on par with Valve, 3D Realms, and Elon Musk.

I'm trying to find out a good way to implement the update checker. I could implement it in TJS, but that would require the string having 16-bit characters (most pages are served with 8-bit characters), so it would require conversion and double the size.
Built-in octet functions in TJS2 are limited, so to operate on them would require external libraries.
Here is an example of a string:
    Code:

I could probably just use strstr to isolate the contents while keeping it as an octet, and integrate the function into krpgp.

Can I install Ultimate without Internet? I'm running the Installer but I can't check any of the Checkboxes.

I've downloaded the Ultimate Patch from the link found in the YouTube Video, How do I go about it so that I can have the Merged Fate Exe?

Simply download the patches on the first page and place them in the same directory as the installer.

I tried that but the Installer's checkboxes can't seem to be checked?

    Oops, sorry; wrong information.
Place the files with the filename ending in ".xp3" in a directory named "patches" located in the same directory as the installer.

An alternate way is to first install it on some PC that has an internet connection but with the "portable installation" selected checked during install.

After that, you can then just copy the "ultimate edition" program folder to wherever and it should "just work" when go try to run fate.exe regardless of what PC you run in on assuming it meets the minimum requirements or even the "secret compatibility protips" (though initially you might have to delete config.ksc the first time you run it on a different PC if you get this error).

How's this going since the previous updated release? Haven't visited the forum in a couple of months. I imagine reading through everything from where I left off will mostly be technical stuff that I won't understand anyway, so that's why I'm just asking instead. Any new bugfixes?

Some rendering bugs related to HD mode has been fixed, and errors should now be more clear.
