It appears you are using old "patch.xp3". You only need to copy the "faterealtanua_savedata" folder and not any other patch files. You need to use the patches from the following URL: https://forums.nrvnqsr.com/showthrea...=1#post3107585

If you use the "patch.xp3" from the first page of this forum thread, it will not work properly. You need to use the newer patches from the above URL.

I was playing with the latest patches in Japanese but when I got to the first H scene it was skipped entirely despite having uncensor H content selected.
I switched the game language to English and the H scene displayed properly, but switching the game language to Japanese during the scene had no effect.
I went and installed patch v.0.9.0 and I'm able to view the H scene, so I think this is a problem with the latest version.

Current best way to play on Mac while we wait for the native release?

Hey, newbie here with a newbie question. Apologies in advance if this has been asked recently (made this account just to post this).

To my understanding the ETA for the native Mac port might not be right around the corner, so I figured I'd try to play the VN in its current form.

Where can I find instructions for the latest optimal way to play this on MacOS (OS X El Capitan, 10.11.6 if it matters) as of current day? Without a virtual machine or Bootcamp if possible. I do have PlayOnMac installed since I first tried following the Fate/Stay Night VN Installation Guide VII thread on Reddit but that one was 3 yrs old and for the old version of the patch.

I trawled this thread a bit but didn't find any especially detailed step-by-step instructions tailored for Mac. I tried using Wine to run the 32-bit installer from the first post but it didn't seem to work for some reason.

Do I just download the latest zip from Mega and, as previously, run the 32-bit installer with Wine? (I will probably try that again, but it might not work since that was the case with the previous version of the installer. I didn't find any Mac-specific instructions in the readme in Mega. The problem is on my end for sure, just not sure what exactly.)

So yeah, any tips on how to proceed and in what order? Thanks in advance.

Use Wine to run the installer on the first page.
In some cases, it may freeze when attempting to install LAV Filters, so in that case, kill the installer using Wine Task Manager (Don't click cancel in the installer) then use pyinstxtractor to extract Fate.exe from the installer executable.

I seem to be running into issues regarding saving and loading on Vita. When I try to load a save a lot of the time the screen will blip black for a second and then continue as though nothing happened. I've installed all the necessary .xp3 files from the updated links but nothing seems to work. And if i try transferring a save from PC, even if it's on low quality and 4:3, that won't work either.

Thanks! So do you specifically recommend using the installer from the first page instead of the one from the latest Mega folder?

Also I assume I'll have to install the game itself first. Anything to keep in mind with that? I think I have the correct version at least (3 folders for the routes and a crack folder for each = 6 folders total).

Yes, use the installer from the first page.

You simply need to point the installer at the folder locations and it will merge them for you.

Can't reproduce. Saving and loading works fine for me.

Are you sure you are saving on the Save menu and loading on the Load menu?

If this helps any, this is the crash message I got when I tried to load a transferred save: https://imgur.com/a/a3b3J3U

I can confirm this is a regression. I'll post a fix for this hopefully by the weekend.

Right, so I tried running that installer with Wine, no luck.

It gave these command line error messages (where "testi" is my home directory name. i put the installer in the folder where the game folders are and tried running it from there. To my understanding this is not the LAV Filter issue you mentioned, it seems to be a different thing):

I then decided to install Winebottler combo and tried running the exe with that, which gave the following error message in a popup window:

    Fatal error detected
Fate / stay night [Réalta Nua] Ultimate Edition Setup.exe.manifest could not be extracted!

It seems like you have a broken installation of Wine.
Please use the version of Wine from the following URL: https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ma...taging-5.0.pkg

There will be an attempted fix for this issue in the next version of the patch.

I installed that one, tried running the exe again. This time it gave the following message:

dsl-trebng22-54f931-195:Fate stay night Realta Nua testi$ wine Fate/stay night [Réalta Nua] Ultimate Edition Setup.exe
wine: '/Users/testi/.wine' is a 64-bit installation, it cannot be used with a 32-bit wineserver.

Could this be caused by remnants of previous Wine installations? I thought I deleted all the previous installations pretty thoroughly before installing this one (including uninstallation and reinstallation of Xquartz and all that). Did not uninstall or reinstall Homebrew though, but I'd think that wouldn't pose a problem.

Or do you think the cause is something else entirely? I didn't choose 64-bit support when installing from the package you linked, should I have? I assumed 32-bit is what is needed here.

I tried googling the issue a bit but didn't find a working solution yet.

You need to remove the old wineprefix. This can be done by running "rm -rf ~/.wine" in Terminal
(Warning: if you run other games in Wine, this may remove its savedata, so you may want to back it up instead if this is the case)

You need to install both 32 and 64 bit support.

Gotcha. So run that line in terminal, uninstall Wine completely and then reinstall with 64-bit support included? Or can I enable 64-bit support without reinstalling?

You may be able to just run the .pkg installer with 64-bit enabled. If that does not work, you may need to uninstall and re-install.

Right, so. Ran the line in terminal, enabled 64-bit through the pkg and tried running the exe, but Avast gave a ton of false positives (as is apparently often the case with Wine) which I manually moved back from the Virus Chest. I then whitelisted the Wine Application folder so that shouldn't cause issues again.

I also deleted and reinstalled Wine from the pkg since the Avast business might've fucked up the previous Wine installation (I did not delete all the stuff from Library again etc, but I will if that's necessary).

Tried running the exe now with Wine reinstalled and 64-bit enabled (and Avast also out of the way), it returned the following:

In the terminal window, type in "wine ", then drag and drop the executable on the terminal window, then press return
