So here I was, thinking that Cinderace was going to be Fire/Fighting, only to realise it isn't. So there goes my Fighting Pokemon of choice. Any recommendations to fill the role?
Assuming you want a Gen 8 Pokemon, Grapploct?

Finally beat the main game.
Man, I really love Sw/Sh. The characters, the Region and the Pokémon - everything was awesome.
The only thing that particularly bothered me was the lack of voice acting in cutscenes.
So, while surfing through a positively improbable amount of porn under the SWSH tag, I found a cool image, so I thought I'd share.

I was browsing danbooru. Wasn't even looking for this originally

Done with the game, now it's only the postgame left. So far, I had a lot of fun with this game, there was some nice Pokemon combinations that I usually never use and I liked some of the new Pokemon (my final team was Drednaw, Corviknight, Hatterene, Kommo-oh, Toxicitry and Centiskorch). The music was also excellent, the Gym battles being my favorite. But I won't deny there's some aspects that I disliked a lot, such as:
- The level limit for capturing Pokemon. It's useless for balance purposes, and it only annoys as it doesn't even let me get Pokemons I want to use until much later for no reason. How exactly is a Ghost pokemon so dangerous that you can't catch them from the Wild area until you beat the third gym?
- No voice acting is honestly very noticeable. I just have a hard time connecting with the story when all the characters are moving their mouths but nothing comes out from it. I can accept this from a 3DS game, but the Switch... nah.
- Hard Raid bosses are pretty much impossible to win unless you go online, but the reason is because the AI is rigged against you to make you lose. Sure was fun going to Gigantamax Sandaconda and see the other AI trainers bringing Pokemon weak to Rock and Ground. Constantly. And Magikarp because yeah let's just make your life hard. Wish I could do it online, but waiting 3 minutes for players that never join is enough to just give up on online.
- The story itself is quite underwhelming. Usually when we do the evil team thing, it tends to end up on a nice finale. But Team Yell not only does absolutely nothing except blocking roads, but also they're not the real villains, which they come out of nowhere.
- Dynamax is honestly very lackluster compared to Mega forms and Z-moves. Gigantamax is the same. For being one of the things that was marketed the most, this sure was disappointing. The Wild area felt the same, honestly it wasn't anything specially in terms of visual design, in fact I found some routes were much more spectacular.
- Minor nitpick, but yeah, I used a super effective move, you don't need to comment about it in every single Rival battle Hop. Learn from the other Rivals.
Overall, I'm happy about this game, but I feel like they haven't fully made use of the change between consoles, it feels like a 3DS game sometimes. I'm not surprised some people are disappointed this is all we get.
Really wish they would try to do something like Breath of the Wild, a massive world that allows you to use your Pokemon for exploring. That would be nice. Though chances are another remake or Ultra SS because of course.

I also finished my playthrough. Team was Rillaboom, Hatterene, Mudsdale, Crustle, Salazzle and Dreadnaw (who i really fell in love with).
and heres my two cents
+++gyms and the whole tournament arc setup are hype af and something ive been wanting in the games ever since seeing indigo league in the anime
+gym leaders are much more memorable than average
+Marnie is highly likable, even though her storyline is weak.
+Bede is a riot lol
+no random encounters is great and i hope this is the direction the franchise takes
+when you first arrive to wild area it feels like pokemon is finally taking steps into what I’ve been dreaming of since first playing GTA3
+cities and towns have strong impression and look good enough for me. Loved the fairy city
+chara editing was good for me because the selection of clothes appealed to me
-cities are barren wastelands in terms of content. Theyre big, but theres nothing to do there.
-no GTS? Wtf burn in heck gmefrick
-no dungeons or anything, you just go from city to city through short empty routes, whoop gym leaders ass, proceed to next. If you dont play around in wild area (or with chara editing like me lol), the game is very short
-lol what a trash plot, zzz. Worst poke plot yet.
-team Yell is awful, uninteresting, obnoxious and ugly
-Hop is OBNOXIOUS with the way he controls and interrupts your early game, and the way he constantly shits bricks over you knowing type advantages is tiring. Better storyline than Marnie, but unlikable character.
-balancing is utter trash. Trainers are extremely weak, while wild mons are rather strong making escaping hard. then theres the new addition that if the wild pokemon is stronger than your, the catching difficulty skyrockets. I had to give up catching pokemon on my first visit to every route because they were higher level than mine, while trainers remained underleveled and I sweeped gyms and league with 1-2 pokemon.
-wild area loses novelty fast, is actually rather unimpressive after you get over the initial wowzers, and looks way worse than the rest of the game
-i had bad luck with dexit, lots of guys i was thinking of using were not in the game
-these stupid messages from your pokemon that pop up in battle if you camped enough (i assume). Its a thing since XY, but at least there it was ”Pikachu is looking at you with manly spirit in his eyes, ready to kick ass!”. Here i get weird shit like ”oooh pikachu is sooo afwaid UwU he doesnt want to fight he wants to camp and sleep hes feeling sooo drowsy”. Yo wtf is this i dont remember raising no pussies
all in all a novel pokemon experience and i had fun as always with pokemon, but extremely flawed and not the pokemon game i hoped for when i heard ”mainline pokemon on home console aimed at hardcore fans”. 6/10.
I had more luck with Dexit, with the biggest loss being Blaziken and Mega Mawile, but I didn't have luck in the fact that some of them are locked behind weather conditions in the Wild area ffs.
Also, another problem I'm finding in post-game is that some wild Pokemon are using moves like Self-Destruct, Explosion and Memento due to the fact that they're all level 60 in the Wild Area and get access to those moves at that level, which is honestly bullshit. Gamefreak ffs don't make the AI use those moves if they are wild Pokemon, specially when the Pokemon spawns once per day.
In the Wild Area, all Pokemon become level 60-65, so it's very easy to level them up with a Rare Candy to evolve them and they give a lot of EXP too. You also get access to all raid quests at that point.
You get access to the typical Battle Area that other games have that caps you at Level 50 and requires a good team. Haven't tried it yet.
You can also capture the iconic Legendary Pokemon that belong to the version of your game after a bit of a short sidestory. Yeah, you don't get it until postgame, instead you get access to another Pokemon which is quite broken too, get ready to see them a lot in online because they can be quite disgustingly OP.
You can repeat the League once per day to get Wishing Stones, which is very easy to win once everything is Level 100. Then you use them for raids to get Pokemon with better IVs (which I won't bother this time with this feature) and hidden abilities.
And that's all I have found. Not a lot honestly, I'm shocked that this is all I get for post-game tbh.
