It is 2026, and magecraft is coming to a slow decline. Mystical miracles are overtaken by scientific advancement, and the inherent mystery of the world fades with every day. When faced with the end of an era, some are left with no choice but to rebel against fate. Though the Holy Grail War was dismantled many years ago, a new one has risen from the ashes, attracting those clamoring for a wish that could change the future.
This is that war.
Kagamihara City is the product of modernity triumphing over tradition—the country roads and plains of Shimane province overtaken by paved streets and highrises. Parks have been carved from untouched forest and the fishing boats in the harbor are of steel, not wood. Once, you could see the stars if you looked up, but their visage has all been blotted out by the street lights that lead salarymen back home. People from all walks of life have moved here searching for a second chance, hoping that this new world has a place for them.
Yet, the many shrines that once dotted the land still stand tall and proud amid concrete and glass, and the locals whisper rumors of people being spirited away in the middle of the night. The leylines are as vibrant as they were centuries ago, and mages flock here because their craft lingers for just a smidge longer than anywhere else. In a city that strives to be a part of the future, it is perfect at preserving the past.
No matter how much changes, Kagamihara will always be beholden to what came before. And it is here that the Ephemeral Grail shall decide who has the right to grasp their dreams, lest they fade away.
All one needs to do is seek, and they shall find.

Fate/Antiquity is a traditional Grail War RP with some PvE elements. Unlike other Grail Wars in recent years, I can’t say there is more of a focus on things like SoL or mystery, but I would like for this to be a well-rounded experience that doesn’t end in a Day 1 pile-up. If you really cannot handle things not going your way and can’t contain your salt, please do not apply.
There are seven slots for Masters to pair up with seven Servants, one of each class. People are free to apply for one or the other, but I don’t want to be spammed with people trying to apply for both. People are free to try and “pair” their sheets but this does not guarantee both of you will get in. Other than that, shoot for the stars!
The rulebook is here. An example sheet is here, but do not take it as gospel. I reserve the right to change my opinions on design and balance whenever and wherever.
Why a Grail War?
I miss Regalia/Moon White/Reclamation.
Is there anything I need to know before I pick a Servant identity?
Personally, I think it’s fine if you sent me your own spin on a canon servant—as long as someone isn’t sending me Scathach or Musashi straight-up, it’s fine. For me, an interesting part of Servants is seeing how different people interpret myths and legends to create them, so I won’t reject you if you hate Apocrypha’s version of Siegfried or something and want to do your own.
