"Of course-!"
A simple purity.
While she is certainly curious about the motive behind the fairy's crime, and is more than a little convinced that this is more of a purposeful trap and less of a random felony, the idea that such things would change what she had decided to do was but a mere fantasy, yes...
Strong, the sort of reckless strength that comes from charging all of your problems head on-!
That was the strength possessed by Nadia Starr, it was an old-fashioned strength with an old-fashioned sort of purity of purpose to it, but such things aren't particularly surprising... You were sure a Racer needed that sort of intense drive as well, a will to be the first to reach the goal no matter what sort of obstacles get in one's way, hesitation leads to one slowing down, slowing down leads to being passed, and thus-!
She simply charges ahead-!
---Of course, the motion-sickness that comes with the manifestation of her "charging ahead" is something that you wish she would fix, but in terms of allies who would actually stick by you until the job was done...
You couldn't think of many better.
Still...
The roar of the engine doesn't quiet down somewhat as you approach the targeted area; as expected, the moment the fairy had reached this old training building, the presence of both kidnapped demons had stopped dead in the center of it. They don't move any more now that their ride has come to an end, so it seems the fairy must have further subdued them to at least some extent, and while a part of you wants to look for a door to get inside, you instinctively freeze up because you know better than to assume she would stop for something petty like an entrance, and indeed-
"Hah-!"
-ramping up a fallen tree, and through a hole in the building's metallic outer surface, the bike's engine once again becomes a monster-like roar as it's sound reverberates through the enclosed space of what seems to be a gymnasium, or at least that's the idea your mind gives you about it's purpose before it all melts away as an obvious trap is finally sprung-!
"An amusement park...? Did we fall into an Old Harmonizer Generator?"
Yes.
The moment the bike comes to a screeching stop along the ground, it's the sunlit grounds of a spotless theme park, rather than the rusty and cramped confinements of the old SDCD building...
"Yes. Readings indicate we have all been drawn into a combat simulator. All safety mechanisms are online, but pain inhibitors have been turned off for all participants."
If it was a simulator, then it was definitely the work of an on-site Harmonizer. In order to avoid real injuries from Tamers sparring with each other, test out different combat environments, as well as reduce the amount of collateral damage done by magic, Harmonizer Fields are often used by Tamer schools to add a "Digital Layer" on top of the real world, and have combat take place between everyone's digital "avatars." In terms of effectiveness it can't be denied, the use of an avatar is no different than that of your body unless the pain inhibitors have been turned off; your avatar's body is always an exact copy of your actual one, and you are unable to use abilities you couldn't use in the "Real World."
Of course, this environment...
While there are some auto-skills that have been known to change the environment by adding a layer on top of the real world in a similar manner, they don't tend to be quite as detailed as this false world seems to be... It's a massive functioning copy of a theme park, while there aren't any NPC civilians around inside of it, the rides are all still going along their predetermined paths, heck, even the wave pool in the distance seems to be functioning...
Must have been a "for fun" auto-skill for the students, a slight abuse of magical power that was only really possible for those schools supported by the Major Tamer Organizations... The type of power you would need to process and maintain this sort of heavily detailed digital world was certainly far beyond the spirit power of an average Tamer-!
Still...
While it's interesting that you've been lured into this place in particular, the existence of a trap still doesn't tell you the "who," the "why" or the "where," thus...
Eyes ignore the strangeness of the place to search for the fairy herself, considering the sheer amount of buildings present in the park she would be next to impossible to find quickly without some sort of aid, but that aid soon proves itself to be unnecessary, as all of the massive television screens bolted to the buildings turn on at once, and reveal not just the captives, or even just the fairy herself, but...
The three of them, along with what seems to be the "actual culprit."
"When I heard you could still afford groceries I was quite surprised Amamiya, I would've thought you would've given up on this lifestyle by now. I mean, is this your partnered Demon? A Slime?"
Holding it in his hands, he shakes it so you can see it, as if he knows you can see him on the screen... A closer look reveals not only that he's actually on top of the Ferris Wheel, but that the fairy and a
strange red-haired woman -demon- are sitting with their backs turned to the camera...
---As far as his name goes, it's "Yoshino Takigawa."
While a history of spiritual powers is no longer necessary in the modern world due to everyone possessing them to some extent, the SDCD as an organization was one that had initially been composed of only ancient exorcist families. Those who have been a part of the organization from the start thus typically carry themselves like royalty, and while such things don't mean quite so much nowadays due to the organization's willingness to take in anyone willing to learn now that those powers were more prevalent, amongst those old families and their members themselves, it's still a badge of pride to come from "noble blood," but...
No...
No that can't be it...
---If this person has a reason to attack you, it's not something like blue blooded pride, no, your parents had been agents for the SDCD as well...
---But there was an incident.
An attack on the organization's Harmonizer Tower, one of the four that guarded the Human World, and the one that had been entrusted to the guardians of Japan... Naturally it's a structure of great importance, a literal pillar of the Human Order, and thus only the strongest Tamers were assigned to guard it.
Typically, it was a full-time position.
---Two people have left it, specifically, they deserted after an attack on the tower itself; it was an attack that had left both of Yoshino Takigawa's parents in a coma amongst other victims, and was determined to only be feasibly done by those that were already on the scene at the time of the incident. Of course, that is not the same thing as decisive evidence, officially, your parents have never been officially convicted of the crime, and the results were considered to be inconclusive by the higher ups but...
People will always find their own answer on who to blame, and in this case...
Everyone just assumes they did it. It's a fact of life that they do, but...
This person had never gone after you for it... But if he had a reason too...
That would probably be it...
"You're the food thief right? What the hell man, Sho suffers enough as it is! Jackie! Kick him!"
"I would if I could boss, but I'm kinda tied up at the moment!"
