Says in the OP that you only need the base power at creation. You're free to make all five grades now or later.

Just thought I'd share some basic "build categories" to help people along. Since the whole link system gives way to different tactics, maybe it'll give people some ideas.

The Standard/Ramp
What most people will probably lean towards out the gate. A powerset that steadily increases in power at even intervals. A safe way to go.

The Pointman/The Carry
Basically someone who has a "high-power" ability out the gate. Think of it as your initial DPS. They do most of the damage while relying on others to supply them with a mana pool. If the power is balanced on a downwards curve, this can allow for your pointman to do most of the work while others conserve their stamina and form up tactics. Once the team moves to higher grades, your pointman can slowly shift to support. Then again, you can just try to go full carry.

The Battery/Supporter
Might not be much for offense and explosions, but a valuable addition to any team. While their power maybe be strictly support based, they link with others and increase the mana pool. They hang back and let others eat up the mana for big moves while choosing their moment to keep the odds in the team's favor.

The Anchor/Endgame
Someone with a backloaded power. The end goal of a team. They have weaker powers in the earlier grades which become game-changing at high grades. But because the more powerful abilities will take the majority of the shared pool, its best to have teams built around these individuals.

The Variable/Wild Card
An individual whos role will likely change as Grades increase. A simple example is one whos ability fluctuates in power along grades. Low to high then low again or vice versa. Something like this would allow for more adaptable MP usage depending on the team. Granted this is just one of the forms a wild card can take.
