Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver Audio Drama CD - Translations

I decided to translate Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver Audio Drama CD myself because the translations of in youtube is taking way too long.
Please do be aware that I'm a beginner in Japanese and English is not my mother tongue so there might be some errors in my translation.
I tried my best to do it as perfectly as possible though... but there's bound to be some errors.

*Just a quick note on the Title:
the japanese title is Sougin no Fragments; Sougin literally means Blue-Silver.
I just chose to translate that as Sky Silver since it's the translation used in the Wiki

*Also, for the names, I wont put the name of the characters until their names will be revealed

    Volume 1
    Disk 1

Part 01: Knight of Sky Silver

    ———: (Manaka)
    —Dazzling...
    sincere, proud, and kind
that smile, gently shining like the morning sun.

You were compassionate. You loved all that is good and believed in Justice.
Even though you despised conflict, you were unmatched when you wielded a sword.

Your shining blade would purge everything wicked and evil from this world.
    ———: (Ayaka)
    A Fairy tale prince...
There aren't any Princes in reality.
It's meaningless even if you search for them.
because reality is far colder —far harsher.
We were raise being told as such...
    by parents, by teachers...
    ———:
or maybe by the world itself.
look, it's so cold and harsh.
The world is covered in the color of black. Even if you work hard, it only turns gray at best.
There is no prince on a white horse.
Those dazzling fairy-tales do not exist anywhere.
    ———:
    but, we knew...
that a Prince surely existed somewhere in this world.
    That's right, we knew...
that those fairy-tale-like events defnitely existed somewhere in this world.

    Yes. Indeed
we knew, that "brightness" ——that you exist in this world...
    ———:
that you ——that "destiny" exist in this world.
    ———:
At times distancing... at times coming into contact—
    ———:
and one day suddenly drawing near—
    ———:
while cleansing away the darkness of this world.
    ———:
    clad in blue and silver—
with a shining sword, shining brightly more than anything, held in your hands—
    Both:
You would come to this place.

    Part 02: Sacred?

    ———: (Saber)
    The dead cannot return.
That which hath passed is forever lost.
No matter how great a miracle,
it may only affect the living.
The dying world shall be saved once again.

The Holy City shall appear once more.

    The Kingdom shall judge all.

And from the hither shore of the roaring waves,

seven heads and ten crowns shall emerge.

O’ you which hath sunken deep into sin.

    Thine name is the Enemy.

    Thine pursuits are of avarice.

Thine praises shall morph into blasphemy and sweep across the land.

The miracle that nourishes this land shall be the foundation.

Henceforth I invoke the law of reversed logic,

and prove the love of our lost lord.

    Part 03: Heroic Spirit Summoning

    ???♂:
The Magic Circle drawing is complete. That was splendid, Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Is that so?
It's so easy to the point that it's anticlimatic.
It would have been better if we might as well have just summoned a guardian that lacks any personality.
    ???♂:
That would be violating the regulations set by the Holy Church as well as the Mage's Association.
    Manaka:
    Regulations?
    ???♂:
Hmm... Above all, there's no method to summon the guardian of the counter force itself.
It's impossible even with you talents, Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Is that so?
    A relic?
    ???♂:
It's the Catalyst for summoning the strongest Heroic Spirit.
A necessary thing for our Sajiou Family to reach the Swirl of the Root, the final key.
    Manaka:
    A scabbard, is it?
    ???♂:
    He's a swordsman after all.
    Manaka:
    I see.
    ???♂:
The Heroic Spirit you shall summon as a Master shall be under the statute of a servant of the Saber Class.
    Begin, Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Yes, Father.
"The alighted wind becomes a wall."
"The gates in the four directions close,"
"coming from the crown, the three-forked road that leads to the kingdom circulate..."
    "Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill. Fill."
    ???♂:
    "Repeat every five times."
    "Simply, shatter once filled."
    ???♂:
    Err... "——I announce."
"Thy flesh shall serve under me,"

"and my fate shall be with thy sword."?
    ???♂:
"Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail."
"Answer, if thou would submit to this will and this truth."
    ???♀:
"An oath shall be sworn here."
"I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven;"

"I shall have dominion over all evils of all of Hell."
    Manaka:
"From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power,"
    All:
"come forth from the ring of restraint, protector of the holy balance!"
    Manaka's Father:
    Marvelous!
The Heroic Spirit manifesting as a servant...
Materialized in a temporary body made of ether to be observable by the naked eye.
    Saber:
    I am Saber, a knight.
I ask, art thou my master?
    Manaka:
    Nice to meet you, Saber.
I am called Manaka, Sajiou Manaka.
    Saber:
    Sajoiu... Manaka...
    Manaka:
I'll definitely make your wish come true.

    Part 04: Holy Grail War

    Narrator:
    "Holy Grail War"
That is where Mages kill each other with their wishes at stake.
Seven Mages who have earned the rank of "Seraphim", and seven servants.
Heroic Spirits who once met an "Unnatural Death",
Heroes and great people who have appeared in myths and legends,
They who have been recorded in human history have acquired a spiritual vessel called "Servant" and were temporarily brought back to the present age.
And then, with the mages they call "Masters" gather into one land
to fight severe battles going beyond human intellect,
and continue killing until the last man standing.
    Magus and Servant
Together, in order to make their wishes come true with the holy grail.
    Incidentally, in 1991 AD.
In the old thousand year... Near the end of the millennium,
In the promised far eastern land, in Tokyo.
The world's first Holy Grail War in history is about to begin.

Part 05: As if Similar to ■

    Jinga Seiji:
The striving of our Jinga Family was not in vain.
In the Far East which is regarded as new in the world of Magecraft,
the hundreds of years of history we have piled up was...
    Yes
It was indead a great thing.
There's nothing difficult behind the summoning process itself,
    but nevertheless, I accomplished it.
The very first large—scale magecraft ritual—
The ticket to join the Holy Grail War revolving around the Holy Grail...
    I have obtained it!
    —These Command Seals,
    and...
    Haha! Hahahaha! Hahahahahahahaha!
I did it, I did it!
The materialization of the one and true Ghost Liner!
    Hahahahaha! Ha-Ha-Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I... did it!With this, those relatives who keep complaining about the inspection of the Magic Crest will also shut up.
I'll be able to deal a blow to the Reiroukan as well.
And those Clocktower lot would also look at me.
I... Jinga Seiji... Have been chosen
(The activation of the great Holy Grail. In other words, proof of a miracle.

Therefore, we'll merely pove the existence of the miracle through the cooperation of you Mages.

We will not be obstructing you from using the Holy Grail's omnipotence to accomplish your ambitions.)

    The Holy Church...
I play along with your slogan for now.
    Hahaha!
    Through this Heroic Spirit... no,
this Servant — I was able to...
this Legend, an incarnation of mysteries, made into my own familiar!
    I will do it!
I will slaughter all six human and servant pairs!
I will find the great Holy Grail that is hidden somewhere here in Tokyo without fail!
I will take the Holy Grail —the origin which is the ultimate goal for us Mages, all mine!
    ???♀:
    Master...
    Jinga Seiji:
    Hmm?
    ???♀:
    Are you alone here?
    Jinga Seiji:
    Yes.
I don't need the help of my relatives.
The true nature of the Holy Grail War is a battle for supremity.
    ???♀:
    Yes.
    Jinga Seiji:
It's not just this warehouse, I've also purchased the cargo in this whole warehouse to use it in my magecraft processes.
    ???♀:
    Magecraft... processes...
    Jinga Seiji:
This area of the harbor warehouse is now Jinga Seiji's territory.
If a magus sets foot in here, I'll slaughter them.
Even if it's an attacking heroic spirit, I'll turn the tables on him!
    —You and I.
    ???♀:
    Yes.
    Jinga Seiji:
    (Servant, huh...?
To think that there was someone like this among the heads of the Hashshashin...

    young woman... woman?

No, she's no mere woman. Heroic Spirits are powerful entities.

They are Earth's myths and legends far beyond human logic — clusters of mysticism.

There's no way she's just a... mere... woman...)
    ???♀:
    Master?
    Master?
    Jinga Seiji:
    (What to do?
She's on her mid or late teens huh?)

    You are... my Servant... right?
    ???♀:
    Yes.
    Jinga Seiji:
You answered my summons, and came to make my wish come true, right?
    ???♀:
    Yes.
    Jinga Seiji:
You do recognize me as your Master, your owner...
    Isn't that right?
    ???♀:
    Yes.
    Jinga Seiji:
I want to know your name, say it.
    Assassin:
So you do not know my name?
I'm the one led to the Assassin's name and class.
    Jinga Seiji:
    I see...
    It's hot here, right?
    Assassin:
I am the Killer of all life.
    Jinga Seiji:
    I see.
    Assassin:
I'm someone who only knows how to kill,
even so, is it okay... to serve by your side?
    Jinga Seiji:
    Naturally.
    Assassin:
Then... my Lord, to you I offer my everything—
—my name, and my Noble Phantasm.
    Excuse me.
    Jinga Seiji:
Why... did you push me down?
    Assassin:
    No, I simply hugged you.
    Jinga Seiji:
    Why?
    Assassin:
    Because, you are my Lord.
    Jinga Seiji:
    (I desire this woman.
No, she's already mine the moment I succeeded summoning.
She is to walk beside me towards my ambition.
    ...What was my ambition again?
    No, more importantly right now...
I just want to kiss her...!)

    You are...
    Assassin:
    Uhmmm!
    Jinga Seiji:
    Uhgggg!
    Assassin:
    Uhm—haaaa!
    Jinga Seiji:
    Uhg! hmmm!
    (Such a hot... Kiss...

So this is what a kiss is...!?

So hot, and so sweet! Soft...

My thoughts and consciousness are fading.)

    mmmhhhmmmmm....
    (Ambition... Desire... Family... Mages Association...

Holy Church... Great Holy Grail War... ————... Heroic Spirit Summoning... Noble Phantasm...)

    nngg... ngggghhhuuuhh... aaanggghhhuuu... ggwahhhh... aaaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhh!
    Assassin:
    True Name —Hassan-i-Sabbah
Noble Phantasm: Zabaniya (Delusional Poison Body)
My whole body is a mass of poison
    Nails, skin, flesh, bodily fluids...
    My entirety is poison.
    My entirety is blade.
    My entirety is death.
A poison in the form of a woman.
    In other words, Death.
    Farewell, Jinga Seiji.
    You weren't the one either.

    Part 06: Just like a friend I

    ???♂:
    uh-eh? waaaaaahhhhhh?
W-Where did you pop out from!?
    Why are you shining!?
    ???♂:
    Shhhh
    ???♂:
    Huh? Stay quiet?
    ???♂:
    Yeah.
    ???♂:
    "Yeah"? You...
    ???♂:
    It's alright.
    ???♂:
    What is?
    ???♂:
I'm of no danger to you.
    ???♂:
    I-Is that so...?
    ???♂:
    That's right.
    ???♂:
    Wait, just wait a bit...
    just wait there.
(That golden hair and blue eyes, he's a foreigner, isn't he?

Why was he in my appartment?

The notes... incantations-like thing in grandpa's memopad... nah, it can't be related, right?

Ah, maybe I was making so much noise inside that the neighbor came to complain.

    No, but he was shining...)
    ???♂:
    What are you doing?
    ???♂:
    For now, let's have tea.
    You'll drink too, right?

Part 07: Just like a friend II

    ???♂:
    A box of iron huh?
    ???♀:
    Car.
    ???♂:
    Y-Yeah, a car.
I know that in my head, but...
    ???♀:
That car wasn't used very much though.
    Huh?
This is weird, it seems like the city lights are all out too.
    I heard that Tokyo was a sleepless town, so this is weird;
or is it that Akihabara is different?
    ???♂:
    Who knows?
The grail didn't give me knowledge regarding that kind of thing.
    ???♀:
It probably isn't under martial law, either.
    ???♂:
Hey, hey, this city is peaceful, you know? see?
It is peaceful in every sense of the word.
    Oh, it came again!
    A box of iron.
    ???♀:
    Car. It's a car, Archer.
    Archer:
    Haha, yeah, that.
    ???♀:
I was planning to introduce to you the battlefield... by merely strolling around Tokyo at night,
But it seems like it's no good now, huh?
    Archer:
    That's not completely true, Master.
It's a good town, many people live in it, yet most of them aren't starving.
Though the air may be a bit polluted, there is no smell of blood.
    ???♀:
    That's... true.
    Archer:
    Right?
It's not exactly a perfect score, but maybe because I got summoned under the starry sky.
    It's thanks to you, Elza.
The first impression I got from this city was almost the best, It's a good place.
    Elza:
I'm sorry. As I thought, using the hotel rooftop as the summoning location was a bit too much.
    Archer:
It was not bad. I love stars.
Even if the sky is smoky, the stars are still stars.
    Elza:
    Yeah.
    Archer:
You wanted to walk around at night while being under the stars like this didn't you?
    That's nice. I like that.
I died a long time ago in the past... well, it's not like I completely came back to life, though.
But anyway, even though I materialized like this, I already got to experience something good!
    Thank you, Elza.
    You are a good master.
    Elza:
For mages to use Heroic Spirits as familiars... this must be a first.
That's why I think it's hard to decide whether I'm a good master or a bad master.
There's no comparison target after all.
    But, thank you, Archer.
I'm sure you are also the best Servant.
    Archer:
You bet! I'm a great hero after all!
    I'll be your strength, Master.
    Elza:
    I'm counting on you.
    Archer:
    Yeah, Leave it to me.

Part 08: Just like a friend III

    ???♂:
    So... uhh...
    ???♂:
    Yeah.
    ???♂:
Because I read that... incantation thingy from grandpa's notes...
—a supposedly impossible supernatural phenomenon occured?
    ???♂:
    Yeah.
    ???♂:
And then, you appeard on my apartment?
    ???♂:
    That is so.
    ???♂:
    And so... Berserker?
    Jeckyll? Hyde?
    How should I call you?
    Jeckyll:
Berserker. I don't mind you calling me that.
    ???♂:
    I see.
(But, he sure doesn't feel like a mad warrior... like a berserker, does he?

An old warrior of a kingdom, was it?)
    Jeckyll:
My True Name is something you should avoid speaking.
We don't know where the other Mages could be listening from after all.
Whether you wish for it or not, hiding my true identity is also for you own well-being.
    ???♂:
    Is that how it is?
    Jeckyll:
    That's right.
    ???♂:
If you're having a hard time sitting like that, you can just sit normally you know.
    Jeckyll:
Thank you. But I'm fine like this.
    ???♂:
    Well if that's so...
(He's polite... that isn't just empty words from elaborate thinking, right?

Entering the apartment of a high school student living alone, without even stealing nything... and also...)
    Jeckyll:
    What is it?
    ???♂:
    Nah...
    (He has a good appearance...

His True Name —Jekyll... or Hy-Hyde, was it?

It's the name of a protagonist of an old foreign novel.

A brilliant scholar, with a special medicine to enhance the rampaging of the Villain inside of him...

    or something like that?

    The scholar's name was Jekyll.

The villain that manifests through the medicine is Hyde.

    lies... I guess not?)
    Jeckyll:
    Hmm?
    ???♂:
Your current name is your real name,
while the other one... is an alias?
    Jeckyll:
    They're both my real name.
    ???♂:
    Is that so?
    You... Berserker,
    please answer my question honestly.
    Jeckyll:
    What is it?
    ???♂:
    You're not human... are you?
    Jeckyll:
    I'm not.
    ???♂:
    Uhm?
    Jeckyll:
As expected, you have a really good eye, Tatsumi.
    Tatsumi:
    Eh? Eyes?
    Jeckyll:
As you suspected, I am not a human.
I am one who will fight beside you for the Holy Grail
    —A servant.
    Tatsumi:
    Holy Grail...
    Heroic Spirits...
    Magus...
    Then, my right eye is?
    Jeckyll:
Most likely a thaumaturgical article... Mystic Eyes.
    Tatsumi:
    Mystic Eyes.
    Jeckyll:
Did something strange ever happen while looking at something?
    Tatsumi:
    Uhmm... I don't think so.
    Jeckyll:
    There must be something.
    Tatsumi:
    Even if you say that...
Ah! When I go bird watching,
The birds stop longer for me than other people.
    Jeckyll:
    Mystic Eyes of Restraint
    It's a powerful one.
    Tatsumi:
    I-Is that so?
    Jeckyll:
Yeah. Perhaps, from your father side or mother side...
They're most likely a branch of a Mage family or something.
    Tatsumi:
It's most likely my grandpa from my mother side.
    Like those incantations...
    Jeckyll:
As there's no record of it,
that past was now probably made nonexistent.
    As for Tatsumi's case,
it may be a form of atavism.
    Tatsumi:
    Hmm...
    Jeckyll:
    Tatsumi?
    Tatsumi:
    Berserker, are you decieving me?
    Jeckyll:
    I'm not.
    Tatsumi:
Yeah... you don't look like the type that would lie.
Then that means, that talk about the Holy Grail War and Masters...
    Jeckyll:
    It's all truth.
    Tatsumi:
    The Holy Grail War...
    It's starting in Tokyo, right?
    Jeckyll:
That's right... No, more accurately, it has already started.
    Tatsumi:
    I see.
(To be honest, I can't grasp half of it...

World of Magecraft? Holy Grail? Heroic Spirits?

    Magus? —I am?

If it's years ago, around elementary or middle school,

    I would believe it immediately...

but this is definitely hard to believe.

Though even if I said that, his words... I'll listen properly.

Not because he suddenly appeared out of nothing.

It could just be a trick or something.

    It's probably my eye, huh?

My deceased grandpa used to say, it's a beautiful gaze.)

    Part 09: Calm Morning I

    ???♂:
    It's already morning.
The alarm clock hasn't rung yet.
    The clock...
    1991, Febuary... 6:14
    ... perfect.
    Clothes.
    Alright
    My hair, my hair.
(If I have to cook, I should wake-up more early.)

I wonder if father woke up already.
    oh, my breath turns white.
    cold!
Ah, I should have used hairpins on my bangs.
Don't make a weird face, Ayaka.
    Eh? Such a good smell.
    (Bacon and eggs?)

    I reached the garden.
I wonder why it's called "Garden".
    Did mother name it?
    Good morning!
    Hmm?
    Father?
    Not you guys.
Today is not a day-off from studying is it?
Hmm? Did father say something last night?
"Something will start soon" was it?
    Uhmm...
    Mr. Sajiou:
Haven't I told you not to talk to the pigeons, Ayaka?
    Ayaka:
    Father!
    Mr. Sajiou:
    Don't talk to the sacrifices.
We absolutely must not have sympathy with the sacrifices.
Sympathy will give birth to hesitation and make your dark arts go astray.
Haven't I already told you many times?
    Ayaka:
    Yes.
    Mr. Sajiou:
Pigeons and humans cannot exchange words. They can't.
Normally, humans wouldn't feel sympathy towards them but...
since you are still a child, you could easily feel sympathy for them.
    Ayaka:
    ...
    Mr. Sajiou:
This is for your sake, Ayaka.
We cannot separate dark arts and sacrifices.
The use of sacrifices is the source of power for dark arts.
    Ayaka:
    I'll do my best.
    Sacrifice...
    Mr. Sajiou:
No, you don't need to do it today.
    Go to the dining room.
    Ayaka:
    Eh?
    Mr. Sajiou:
It's breakfast time, accompany manaka this time.
    Ayaka:
    ...
    Mr. Sajiou:
Manaka said she wants to have breakfast.
    Please, accompany her.
    Ayaka:
    Sis?
    Mr. Sajiou:
I think it's better you than me.
    Ayaka:
    ...
    (Earlier than usual)

    Is sis hungry?
    Mr. Sajiou:
It seems that she wants to try cooking.
    Ayaka:
    Cook? Sis said that?
    Mr. Sajiou:
    Yes.
    Ayaka:
    I see.
    —————————————————————————————————————————
    Manaka:
Ayaka, can you bring me that plate? The toast too.
    Ayaka:
    Okay, sis.
    Manaka:
Ah, not that one, the smaller one for bacon and eggs...
you know, just like the one you broke before.
Also, for the toast it's thin cut, not the thick one.
    Ayaka:
    O-Oh, Hm!
    (Sis is amazing.

    She's cute... no, she's pretty.

    She's also smart.

    She can do anything.

    Just like now,

in the kitchen, briskly, yet elegantly.

There are times when father is busy and sis cooks in the kitchen,

but not like this time. It's more like because it was needed.

She wasn't cooking briskly like a chef back then.

And not like before, this time she looks beautiful like our mother from father's stories.

    It's different from back then.

That time she was also amazing, but...

    I wonder why?

She's amazing but... in a different sense...

with this amount she prepared, it's noticable at a glance that she's different.

Before, she would only prepare bacon & eggs, toast, salad, and milk.

Now there's bacon, eggs, toast, salad, milk, kidney pie, fish and chips,
ham and cheese, porridge, scone, tea, and sliced peach and plums for dessert.)
    That's a lot.
(More amount than we could consume.

Each of these were prepare skillfully by sis

Even just but looking at kitchen knife held in her fingers, makes me so amazed.

even though we're only 3 years apart.

Why does she seem this pretty?)

    Here's the plate.
    Manaka:
    Thank you, Ayaka.
    ehehe
    What's with that idle gaze?
    Ayaka:
    Nothing.
    Manaka:
    Really?
    Ayaka:
    (My pretty sis Manaka...
In the kitchen wearing a white apron,

Sis is moving around, dancing like a princess,

Making a lot of food, she seem to be happy, having fun.

I don't remember mom's face, but... she probably looked like this back when she was alive)
    Manaka:
    Hmm-h-hmmmm
    Ayaka:
(She's like the sun shining through the windows, sparkling
She's always been like that, but I wonder why?

This morning, she's even more pretty and radiant)
    Manaka:
Books say that englishmen love to eat cod...
though I'm not sure if it's the same for the british.
    Ayaka:
(When was the last time I saw sis smiling like this?
My sis who can do anything.

Be it studying or dark arts... she can do anything.

She won't even hesitate to cut a pidgeon or a cat, unlike me.)
    Manaka:
Hey, do you want to taste the fried fish Ayaka?
    Ayaka:
    Uhm, is it okay?
    Manaka:
    Yes.
    Here, say ahhh...
    Ayaka:
    Ahhh...
    Manaka:
    How is it?
    Ayaka:
    Uhn, delicious.
    Manaka:
Seems that the sour cream and the charm worked nicely.
    Alright, if Ayaka likes it...
    Ayaka:
    Charm?
    Manaka:
The charm that makes dishes delicious.
It is secret and much more powerful than magecraft.
    Father:
    Ehem...
    It's nothing.
    Ayaka:
Uhmm, more amazing than magecraft...? uhm...
    Manaka:
    What is it?
    Ayaka:
Father said there's only one thing more amazing than Magecraft.
    Manaka:
    That's true. That's why I used it.
    Love Magic!
    Ayaka:
    Love?
    Manaka:
You might still be too young for it, Ayaka.
    Love Magic, you see...
It is more powerful than any mystery a magus could use.

    Part 10: Ruler of Psyche

    ???♂:
After the summoning ritual... a delay of five minutes before manifestation.
    Lancer:
    Lancer, answering your summons.
    Thou art my Master, correct?
    Nigel Sayward:
    I am called Nigel Sayward.
    Lancer:
I appreciate thy favor, Master Sayward.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Hn.
    Lancer:
    These are?
    Nigel Sayward:
    Take off your armor.
    Remove your clothes.
    Lancer:
    ...?
    Nigel Sayward:
The summoning's binding seems to have a little error, but...
You are unmistakably a jackpot for me.
    Therefore I say, undress yourself.
    Lancer:
    May I ask why?
    Nigel Sayward:
Your body of ether has its smell.
Take a shower first and wash off that primeval stench.
    Lancer:
    Shower?
    Nigel Sayward:
    Yeah.
To you, I shall use my special elixir.
For that reason, you are a Heroic Spirit, a weapon, and at the same time a woman.
    That is you, my servant.
You are a mystical weapon as well as...
    —a woman.
We shall win this Holy Grail War.
    Lancer:
    I see... then...
    Nigel Sayward:
    You disapprove?
    Lancer:
    Yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    That so?
Then, before I use a command seal,
you can just cut me down anytime.
    It's up to you.
    Lancer:
    The shower is... which way?
    Nigel Sayward:
    That way.
    ————————————————————————————————————————————————
    Lancer:
Water... hmm... This is hot water isn't it?
Twist the faucet, and hot water flows.
    Circa 1991 A.D.
    Holy Grail...
    Sigurd...
I... why did I manifest here?
    ???♂:
    Yes?
    Nigel Sayward:
    It's me.
    ???♂:
    Mister Nigel Sayward?
I was waiting for your call.
I heard that esteemed mages like you were bad with modern technology.
    I wonder why?
    Nigel Sayward:
    Summoning succeeded.
    ???♂:
    Congratulations.
    Nigel Sayward:
I will send the details over to you promptly.
    ???♂:
    Fax right?
PC communication is possible here though.
    Nigel Sayward:
    I'll send a familliar.
    ???♂:
Well then, I will also inform the president.
Do you wish for me to pass her a message?
    Nigel Sayward:
    Ah yeah,
Heroic Spirits... servants are insanely beautiful.
If you are aiming for one,
Make sure to take away their souls.
    ???♂:
Unerringly, I shall pass that on.
    Well then.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Yeah.
    Amethyst eyes, Mythril armor...
    My servant being like that...
    hmm... she's too well done.

    Part 11: Calm Morning II

    Manaka:
    Here you go. Eat up.
    Saber:
    Thank you!
Your father... and you also have a sister don't you?
    Where are...
    Manaka:
They had already finished and went somewhere else.
    So then... uhm... well...
I didn't know what were your preferences, so...
I just made anything that came to mind.
I may have made too much however...
    Saber:
No, I will gladly partake all these.
    Manaka:
You don't have to force yourself you know.
Just eat what you want... if you eat it...
(I made portions for about six people!

    Was I too enthusiastic?

    Poached eggs along with toast —for six;

    there's also lots of leafy greens;

    salad —for six;

    baked mushrooms and sausage —for six;

    one whole kidney pie and milk porridge —for six people;

    fish and chips —amounts to mountains high;

    peach and plum desert, so plenty;

scones and cream in the cake stand... excessively!

Why did even I make so much?)
    Saber:
If it's about the amount, there's no problem.
    Manaka:
    But...
    Saber:
Meals are the vitality of knights who head into the battlefield.
Having this much is not a problem.
    Manaka:
    huh?
    Saber:
    It's not a lie.
With my pride and sword at stake, I shall recieve everything you offered me, Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Saber!
    Saber:
    Wow! That's delicious.
    Manaka:
    Really?
    Saber:
    Yeah!
    Delicious!
    Manaka:
    Uhn! Thank goodness!
You know, I had confidence in that deep-fried fish with sour cream.
Because I was told it's delicious by the oil-hating Ayaka, I thought that this definitely...
    Saber:
Uhn, it has a wonderful taste.
    Manaka:
I am glad it was to your liking.
This morning I studied the modern... no, more accurately, the 19th century to 20th century english breakfast.
I thought that you would definitely prefer flavors closer to your home country.
    Saber:
    Yeah, it's delicious.
    Manaka:
    Really?
    Saber:
    Yeah.
    Manaka:
    Really, really?
    Saber:
    Yes, my lady.
I think your cooking is very delicious.
    Manaka:
    I'm glad!
    Hey, Saber.
    Saber:
    What is it?
    Manaka:
    I realized something this morning...
no, I'm sure I knew it from the beginning.
Yes. "It" is the same as cooking.
    Saber:
    Hmmm?
    Manaka:
The method of the Holy Grail War.
Cooking and Holy Grail War, I realized it's both similar.
It takes time and effort, so you might as well use your head.
Cooking takes a lot of time, but using different heating tools would make it a lot easier right?
Tools like pressure cooker and microwave ovens should not be made light of.
    Also, preparations are important right?
Making the right preparations in order to reach your objectives... I think it's a very important thing.
    Saber:
    Mmm.
    Manaka:
Each servant is definitely powerful, so aiming for the masters is definitely more effective.
In addition, if the master has some sort of weakness, then aiming for that would be the most efficient.
So why don't we kidnap their children, or maybe even murder?
    Saber:
    Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Hmm?
    Saber:
    When heading into battle,
    what you need is courage.
    Perhaps, you already have it.
However, we should not involve those who are unrelated.
Even more so if it's the children... the powerless.
    Manaka:
It is for your sake, Saber.
    Saber:
    For me?
    Manaka:
    Yes.
So that you would not get hurt.
In a fight between servants, I am sure that you would not lose but...
still, If you got hurt in the fight, I could not handle that.
    And you know...
    Saber:
    Manaka!
Don't just show your skin like...
    Manaka:
I absolutely don't want... to use this.
    Saber:
    Black wings tatoo?
That thing engraved on your chest, thats...
    Manaka:
    Yeah.
    Saber:
Seraphim, The command seal of seven feathers.
    Manaka:
This, is my bond to you, that's why... I don't want to use even one.
Right now, this is my only definite connection with you.
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— ———————
    Narrator:
    Command Seals,
    reform of angels.
It is, the key to managing the ultimate power to bid all life.
In the Holy Grail War, seven Mages are given powerful unparalleled weapons.
Seven people and seven Heroic spirits.
Each Mages with one angel's reform each.
    We call this, a Servant.
Something beyond thaumaturgical mysteries; The strongest delusion of people's dreams.
Even against modern weaponry, they will not fall short.
Originally, it is not something even a master of mystical arts couldn't handle.
Having their names engraved in history, becoming legends —They are proxies of great heroes.
With the great prana brought forth by the Holy Grail, for the first time, their summoning...
or in other words manifestation of the strongest unrivaled existence.
These Heroic Spirits are great and fierce.
In most cases they take a human form, but in actuality —they are not humans.
Therefore, engraved in the bodies of the mages —Command Seals,
to control the existences that go beyond the power of thaumaturgy unsing the authority of the Holy Grail.
Total of three seals. In other words, ability to bind heroic spirits three times, or seals that give authority.
Without these, the holy grail war could not be established.
    Excerpt from one old note.
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— —————————————
    Saber:
    Efficiency... —you said.
    Manaka:
    Yeah.
    Saber:
    Last night, Immediately after summoning,
    I heard you talk about expected enemies for this Holy Grail War;
    the possible other masters.
    Manaka:
    I did.
    Saber:
    A prestigous mage family, Reiroukan.
The current head is known to be one of the masters.
    Manaka:
    That's true.
    Saber:
Furthermore, the head's daughter is the same age as you, and your aquaintance.
    Manaka:
I only saw her from a distance in the past. I don't think she'd even remember that.
But I do think that we're kind of like friends.
    Saber:
Aim for the master's child —you said...
I don't want you to do something such as hurting your own friend.
    Manaka:
    You sure are kind, Saber.
    Saber:
    Manaka!
    Manaka:
    But it's okay.
    There's no need to worry.
    Saber:
People make mistakes, however you are intelligent.
Without making wrong choices, I'm sure you can get your wish upon the Holy Grail.
    Manaka:
Yeah, I can do anything for your sake.
    Saber:
Wronging other people... is not a good thing, Manaka.
    Manaka:
    Why?
    Saber:
For Example, The family you spend your morning hours with,
your father and your little sister, it's the same as hurting them.
I'm sure that the Reiroukan master would...
    Manaka:
—why do you say such things?
I have decided you give the Holy Grail to you.
I will make your wish come true.
So that you could save Britain.
    Saber:
    ...
    Manaka:
For that, I can do anything; I'll do anything.

    Part 12: Prosit!

    Elza:
    Prosit!
    Archer:
    Yeah!
    Ahh!
Japanese alcohol is also quite interesting.
This feeling going through my throat...
    Ahhh! That's nice!
    Elza:
Pilsner bear originated in Europe, not Japan.
Also, what you felt, we call that "nodogoshi".
    Remember that.
    Archer:
    Is that so?
    It's a nice nodogoshi.
    Kuhaa—— ha ha ha
    Oi miss, here... uhm...
    Elza:
    Large mug of beer
    Archer:
One large mug of beer please.
    Elza:
    Hey, wait —wait!
    Puha——
    Make that two!
    Waitress:
    Ah, yes!
Master, two large mugs of beer for the people over that table please!
    Bar owner:
    Already!? What an energetic couple!
    Elza:
Hehe, heard that? he called us a couple.
    Archer:
    Sure you're not mistaken?
    Elza:
Eh? Uhm... If it's a Japanese context... well whatever.
    Waitress:
    Two large mugs of beer.
    Elza:
    Thank you!
    Archer:
This really is a big city, huh?
The buildings are huge, and the population is huge.
It's normal that there aren't much people at night, but it would probably be full of people during daytime.
    Elza:
It's a matter of preference yeah?
    Archer:
The capital of Turan pales in comparison.
    It's a good city.
    And it's interesting.
Transportation using an iron box for the first time surprised me, but getting used to it, it feels quite nice.
    Besides, there's that.
    Elza:
    That?
    Archer:
    The Iron Dragon.
    Elza:
    You mean a train?
    Archer:
Yeah yeah, that is good too.
The train station is like the dragon's nest.
    Elza:
    Hehehe. What funny expressions.
But no one would ever go to a dragon's nest, would they?
    Archer:
    Hehe that's true.
That evil dragon that raged on the reign of king Fereydun,
—compared to Aži Dahāka, the current iron dragon seems really peaceful.
It would let you in into its belly and spit you out without digestion.
    Elza:
That's right. Trains don't eat people.
    Hmmm! Delicious!
Oh yeah, It's probably a special characteristic of Tokyo to have plenty of routes below and above ground.
    Archer:
Is it different for your country?
    Elza:
    It might vary by city.
We have Stadtbahn, but they're probably not as automated as those here.
But I was a little disappointed here in Akihabara.
    Archer:
    Really?
    Elza:
Really! It's quite a large station, but there's a few too little restaurants nearby.
    Archer:
    Hmm that's true.
    Elza:
It might be on the opposite side of the station, but...
I was walking here last night and this is still the same area, you know?
Even though there are a lot of duty free appliance stores that might as well shut down at night, there's barely any kind of beer halls at all.
    Archer:
    Hmm
    Elza:
Well I'm not saying they should have a hofbrau but...
    Archer:
Well it doesn't really matter now, right? We eventually found a bar after all.
    Elza:
    That's true.
    Archer:
Beer tastes good, and nodogoshi is good too.
    Elza:
    And the food too.
    Bars are the best!
    Archer:
    Mehehe!
    Ahhh
Elza, I'm glad you were my master.
    Elza:
What do you mean by that?
You want another mug, is that it, Archer?
    Archer:
    Well that's a good idea.
    Elza:
    Ah, miss!
Another please! Two large mugs of beer.
    Waitress:
    Yes maam!
    Archer:
What a person you are. In the middle of a war we're here reveling.
    I like you even more.
    Elza:
It's not that big of a deal.
    Archer:
    No, no.
    Waitress:
Thank you for waiting! Here's two large mugs
    Elza:
    Thanks!
    Then, third time eh?
    Prosit!
    Archer:
    Prosit!
    Elza:
    Kuhaa——
    Archer:
    Mmm. That's good, taste good.
What's this egg thing, fish egg?
    Elza:
It's called dashimaki tamago, you like it? Should we order more?
    Archer:
    Yes, please.
    Elza:
    Okay!
Miss, another one of this dashimaki mentai please.
    Waitress:
    Yes Maam!
Boss, additional order for dashimaki mentai!
    Bar owner:
    O!
    Elza:
(It's similar. Japan's tavern, and my hometown's hofbrauhaus is not much different.
Both alcohol and food are not bad; the liveliness of the customers; it's helplessnes too; well similar things.

The only difference is probably just the space and the music.

Yeah, It's really similar. Every city... every country is the same. Japan, Germany, Palestine, Ireland, Central and South american countries, and Cambodia...

    everywhere it's very similar.

    Similar places are similar.

Wrapping all of creation that arised from the Swirl of the Root is only one world.
I am delighted with delicious food and alcohol.
To laugh; to talk with a friend; adorable children always running crazy

And beside all of it, open the bloody fangs aligned on its mouth... hell awaits.

    It's the same everywhere.

As I'm here sipping alcohol like this, five inches beside me, five minutes... hell awaits.

The sound of flesh being pierced, the sound of flesh splitting apart... gunshot... explosion... cursing... knife...

    Again... rage... grudge... envy...

It's possible for anyone to be swallowed up by hell.

Anyone could always be eaten by a cruel beast.

Most people are just pretending not to see. Including me.

Here and hell... five inches and just five minutes away.

Almost the same, same as everywhere.)
    Waitress:
Dashimaki mentai, thank you for waiting!
    Archer:
    O-oh! Thank you!
    Waitress:
    Ehehe, Enjoy it!
    Archer:
    It's here, Elza. Dashimaki mentai.
    Elza:
    Yeah.
(I'm an idiot! I thought about strange things.

    Did he notice?)
    Archer:
    Heh
    Elza:
    What?
    Archer:
    No, nothing.
I just thought that I also want to see the world that you are seeing.
    Elza:
    Hehehe, what's that mean?
    Archer:
    I wonder.
    Elza:
    Hmm.
    Archer:
You must be uh... you've seen too many bad things when you were young, Elza.
    Elza:
    Maybe so.
(In this world, I saw many things that I was not supposed to see.

In this world, I also recognize the many lovable shining things.

Learning magecraft was my duty by carrying this prestigous name.

Perhaps my travels all over the world just changed the way I see things.

And the cause is... not only because I was traveling around the world...

Luca, ever since you were gone...)

    Heh, sneaky.
You always see through anything huh, Archer?
    Archer:
    Really?
    Elza:
Really! If you weren't, then I wouldn't be telling you this right now.
(If it's life experience, I should have a bit more piled up.

    Truly a great hero, huh?

We've been drinking alot and he doesn't seem even a bit tipsy.

Even if I don't get drunk, my face would still turn red.)
    Archer:
Even if it's wine of the gods, I won't get drunk.
    Elza:
I'm not drunk either. I didn't drink so much that it would affect our battles.
    Archer:
    Well that's true.
    Haa———
    You're amazing.
I thought I remember something about purebreed mages all being hardheaded tyrannical people.
This country's mages generally follows the flow of ensuring purity, right?
    Elza:
If you look into those old houses, that's probably true for those who wants to get along with the Clock Tower.
    Archer:
    Is it different for you?
    Elza:
To begin with, my house is in Germany. But I think that it's not much different for this country's mages.
My house is not that prestigous anyways. I'm a delinquent as well.
    Archer:
    Hmm?
    Elza:
I never thought that I could even leave my name of this large scale ritual.
(This lie too... it might have already been seen through by your clairvoyance.

I will definitely talk about it soon. Until then, my true feelings... even if you know just be silent, please, Archer.)

Part 13: First Battle of the Holy Grail War

    Elza:
    Then, see ya.
I didn't come up with anything so far but be careful.
    Archer:
    Ya
    Elza:
I'll leave what comes next to you. Even if we encounter them, don't do anything improper.
    Archer:
    I understand. It's my specialty.
    Elza:
    Is that right?
    Archer:
    That's right.
(Elza will do this field something and standby at the Ochanomizu Hotel while I scout around the area.

I am in agreement. If I were to do reconnaissance, it would be easier without Master.)

Though it would be interesting if I encounter saber.
    Hmph.
My armor and bow. It's convenient but lacks taste.
(In life I'd need materials and time, but now... in an instant.)

This is a Heroic Spirit, huh?
(The me right here and the me alive 3000 years ago are not the same.

Well I'm sure I'm dead. Then this form I have now must be a reflection of me in life.)

    Well then, let's do this!
From a high vantage point, Akihabara can be seen well.
    Heeeh———?
It was the same yesterday, but around this time there really are no people nor iron boxes.
Ooh———, the iron dragon. It's really fast. I am fast too. And I can leap high too.
Well this kind of performance is not much different from when I was alive.
(I am not me, but I'm like a me that is once again in this world. Strange stuff.)

    Enemy visuals, none for now.
(The townscape has changed so much with the color of the night.)

    Bloodlust, none; prana, none.
(It's just the people that haven't changed much, I think.

I'm sure it's similar to the twinkling of the stars floating in the sky.)

This is like swimming in between the sea of stars. Not bad.
    Oh!
(It's neither bloodlust nor pana. It's this unique signature of servants, huh?

That guy's also moving in the air over a hundred kilometers per hour.
I wanted to avoid shooting arrows if I could, but...)
That's nice, you repelled them well.
    (That guy's speed is changing.

This is... Haha—— I'm being chased? Don't wanna.
I'll do this seriously. It's possible to shoot 10,000 arrows in a minute, but...

No, if I do so, the town of Akihabara will be destroyed. People will die.

It's no good. Hah——, that's it. If I could think like this then I am still me.

But what's with this? I can't do anything but shoot. Will I just get caught up to like this?
    That's right.
(I'm being read. Landing on the roof of the same building at the same time.)
    Lancer:
    The Third servant, correct?
    Archer:
And you must but the Fourth, Lancer, correct?
Being a lady, you don't carry that impression but... that's a noble phantasm isn't it?
    Lancer:
    That may be.
    Archer:
(Silver armor, purple colored irises, a huge spear, and there's that smile, huh?
You're smiling so sadly. Complete opposite of Elza's.)

Perhaps our encounter is the Holy Grail War's first battle.
    Lancer:
    Yeah.
    Archer:
You know what would happen in a fight between Heroic Spirits, don't you?
    Lancer:
    Yeah.
    Archer:
    You wanna continue?
    Lancer:
No. You wouldn't want us to release our noble phantasms, don't you?
    Archer:
    Dunno.
    Lancer:
    Well then.
For me, this is more than enough.
Unless if you'll let me run away.
    Archer:
This is really a bad place for this.
    Lancer:
    That... is true.
I think there are too many people living here.
    Archer:
    I agree.
    Lancer:
    You too.
    Archer:
    Ugh
    Lancer:
    I'm sorry.
    Haah————!
    Archer:
    Uwooohh!!
It's unnatural to take a distance right after aiming for a sudden attack.
Distance is more of my playing field.
    Lancer:
    It's apologies for my discourtesy.
    Archer:
    For aiming at my neck?
    Lancer:
    For telling a lie.
    Archer:
    Oh——?
    He—Hahahaha! You've become quite troublesome.
If you're unmotivated to do this, then leave.
For now I managed to hit the sky, but next time I might have to hit the ground.
    Lancer:
    You're kind.
    Archer:
I'm a great hero after all.
    Lancer:
Such a gentle person... I... no.
Well then, I'll take you up on that offer.
    Archer of the scarlet bow.
    Archer:
    She's gone, huh?
    Astral form, was it?
It does not really mean turning invisible.
Well, it's good that there were no casualties...
    —tonight, that is.

    Part 01: Shinjuku Strolling I

    Narrator:
    Holy Grail War
    ——3rd day
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— —————
    Tatsumi:
    (He is really fitting in.
Him being there seems quite natural...)
    Jekyll:
    Heee——
    A TV screen this big...
    Tatsumi:
(I actually thought he'd stand out.)
    Woman 1:
Hey hey, that person is so handsome!
    Woman 2:
    Is he a model?
    Tatsumi:
    (See, standing out.
He may fit in, but once noticed it will be like this.)
    Jekyll:
Even though I understand it in my head, It really is still surprising.
    Tatsumi:
    Ahh, yeah... that's true.
    Foreigners are eye-catching after all...
    Jekyll:
    I'm talking about Alta Vision
    Tatsumi:
    Ah... yup.
    That's true
There wasn't one of those in your era.
You didn't have TV yet, right?
Eh, but I thought you should already have contemporary knowledge?
    Jekyll:
I told you, "even though I understand"...
    Tatsumi:
    Oh sorry.
    Jekyll:
    Don't mind it, Tatsumi.
    It's definitely a confusing feeling.
    Tatsumi:
    Really, my bad.
So... — how is it? — Shinjuku.
As you asked, I brought you somewhere with as many people as possible.
    Jekyll:
Yeah, I was able to see good things.
Even though they change in appearance, people will not change.
    Tatsumi:
    Hmmm?
    Jekyll:
Thank you for bringing me here, master.

    Part 02: Random Thought

    Manaka:
    No.
I will not bring saber outside.
    Mr. Sajiou:
    Manaka!
    Manaka:
    Definitely no.
    Mr. Sajiou:
    What are you talking about?
    Fuuu...
    Manaka,
depending on the strategic prowess used in the holy grail war, servants could serve as engines for various actions.
Servants are weapons... more precisely, they are clusters of mystery possessing power greater than weapons.
Refraining from using their power is a given, but
you just kept Saber confined within the mansion for the whole day.
    What are you thinking?
You can't possibly win the Holy Grail War that way.
    Manaka:
    I can do it.
    Mr. Sajiou:
    Manaka.
    Manaka:
I can make do in this Holy Grail War alone.
    Mr. Sajiou:
Then there's no way you would survive.
If the opponent is just a magus, there's no way you'd fall behind.
But the Holy Grail War is different.
Servants... don't underestimate heroic spirits that left their mark on human history.
The common magus wont even survive half a day.
Two days would already be a miracle, even for you.
    Saber:
Manaka, I also agree with your father's words.
I came here to fight alongside you.
    Mr. Sajiou:
    You heard that Manaka.
    He——
    Manaka:
    That's it!
I thought of something good, Saber.

    Part 03: Shinjuku Strolling II

    Tatsumi:
    This place really doesn't change.
    Jekyll:
    Really?
    Tatsumi:
It's been a long time, but I used to come here alot as a child.
Keio department store, Rooftop Amusement Park.
It's too small to be called an Amusement Park though.
Look, there are many small rides.
Those are good for little kids.
    Jekyll:
    Department Store, huh?
    London had Harrods too.
    Tatsumi:
    Heh———?
The scenery seems a bit different.
Is it because I grew up?
    Jekyll:
The cityscape changes little by little.
    Tatsumi:
    That's true.
    It's getting late now, huh?
    Jekyll:
    Thanks for the tour today.
    I saw some good things.
    Tatsumi:
    No need for thanks.
It's also fun to skip school and walk around Shinjuku once in a while.
    Jekyll:
    School...
    Tatsumi:
    Hmm
    Jekyll:
    R-Really?
I made you skip your classes?
    I'm sorry, Tatsumi.
Contemporary societal knowledge was granted to me but...
    Tatsumi:
I thought you knew that and still wanted to see the city.
Hahaha! You seemed like a know-it-all, but you're actually a bit of an airhead, aren't you, Berserker?
    Jekyll:
    Ughh, I'm sorry.
    Tatsumi:
    Ahh, it's fine.
I simply showed around my newly made friend. It's normal.
    Jekyll:
    Tatsumi.
    Tatsumi:
Hanging around the arcade by the west entrance really made me nervous though.
Skipping school to go to the arcade...
    Jekyll:
    Ahh, I'm sorry!
    Tatsumi:
    I said It's fine.
The sky is really clear tonight, huh?
Which one is the winter triangle?
Do stars appear the same in your home town —In London?
    Jekyll:
    It's mostly the same.
    Tatsumi:
    I see.
    Jekyll:
Two nights ago —the night we met, you said...
    Tatsumi:
    Ye?
    Jekyll:
I am, as you said, a character from a story told as a novel.
To be exact, I am the human model of that character.
No, that person turned into a heroic spirit after death,
then through you and the Holy Grail, he was led to manifest as a servant.
    Tatsumi:
    That's confusing.
    Jekyll:
Sorry, but this is a fact.
In life I was a researcher with objective views on all things...
now, these are certainly objective facts.
Not human... only because I am a servant that I can declare so.
    Tatsumi:
    It's fine, I believe you.
You're an existence called a servant,
not a human being, and you're here to win the Holy Grail War with me, right?
    Jekyll:
    Yeah.
I'm, from the previous century, a person from the 19th century.
    Tatsumi:
    I already heard that.
    Jekyll:
    That's true.
    I already said it.
That's why I wanted to see the appearance of the city and the people living in this 20th century.
Knowledge of the society and customs of this Tokyo of 1991 is already given to me by the holy grail but...
    Tatsumi:
    I already heard that too.
    Jekyll:
    Ah, that's true.
And today I found out, people don't change, and the city too.
A lot of people are enjoying that life.
    Tatsumi:
Uhh, so to say, you're satisfied?
If that's so then I'm glad too.
It was worth skipping classes on weekdays to guide you around town.
    Jekyll:
    You have my thanks, Tatsumi.
    Tatsumi:
No, you don't really have to be so polite in giving your thanks.
    Jekyll:
But it's true that I appreciate it.
    So, let me say this...
    Tatsumi:
    Hmm?
    Jekyll:
I... even now, I still have regrets.
Even if my experiments with the use of the elixir is something I chose to do,
the evil within me, Hyde, I couldn't stop him in life,
When I stopped him in exchange for my life.
The fact remains that there were already a lot of sacrifices.
    Tatsumi:
    ...
    Jekyll:
    I'm... a powerless servant.
Using the elixir as my Noble Phantasm...
Enhancement... or it might be closer to beast morphing.
In other words, to not reveal the disposition of the anti-hero Hyde, I have almost no difference from normal people.
In exchange for not having the unique presence that servants emit, I could not activate any skills and I can't make use of my full parameters.
    Tatsumi:
    (I already heard that too.
So even walking without him in spirit form, it is unlikely that we will be percieved.
Why is he restating it now?)
    Jekyll:
    I am powerless.
Without going berserk, it would be difficult to demonstrate my power.
In this Holy Grail War where we reveal our hands while exploring each others identities,
Somone like me is surely not suited for this.
Even so, I come to think...
I, the time I had in my past life,
without the place changing along with it's people in this city...
I want to satisfy these sorrows smoldering in my chest.
    Tatsumi:
That's... when you said you wanted to go outside today, it's related to that, huh?
    Jekyll:
    Yes. The Holy Grai War
It is established and stipulated as a secret feud under mages law,
however the power of heroic spirits are enormous.
Rough myths, the power they wield as their legend's reconstruction.
It may be part of this great war that your grandfather envisioned.
If intensified, Tokyo will become a literal war zone. Many people will fall victim.
That's why I, this time... from the beginning, will try to be a hero of justice.
    Tatsumi:
(In the past I was a Hero of Justice.
I transform, and ride giant robots.
Opposing evil monsters and organizations, that spreads fear to everyone in town, with the power of justice.
    I protected peace.
Little boys of that age were mostly like that.
In childhood, I... we saved this world a lot of times.
Yes, when I was innovently playing at Keio Sky Playland.
It was so until some time in elementary school.
Such a thing, I can hardly recall it anymore.
    It's an old story.
    It's embarrassing to remember.
But I was certainly a hero of justice.
Behaving and indentifying myself as the masked heroes seen on TV.
Asigning the Villain's role to my neighborhood friends.
Of course, I'm not only the hero.
Sometimes I become the bad guy.
    It's basically an alternate shift.
    A child's pretend play.)
    (???♀:
I wan't to be with onii-chan)(She seemed so uninterested, but my little sister said that and played hostage role.
Until the sun sets, were saving the world and attacking the world.
It was fun? No, I don't remember well.
It's the same as the amusement park.
The "that was fun" memory of my past has gone obscure.
    However, just one thing...
something I clearly remember even now...
as always on our way home from playing pretend, she, my little sister, Tamaki once said...)
    (Tamaki:
Hey oni-chan, a while ago when Nori-kun was the bad guy, I was a bit scared... just a little.
    Well, since I had oni-chan, I wasn't scared.)

(What's that? "You were scared, weren't you?"
I believe, I said that... and she laughed at me.
    Hero of justice, huh?
Tokyo will be a war zone?
    Holy Grail War...
That's the name of a certain magic ritual.
When you say war, it is where there is an exchange of life.
Tokyo, the town I grew up in...
    There're my long time friends.
In the morning, there's that old man who greet me everytime for garbage disposal.
There's that clerk from the convenience store I got to every after school.
There're many good people who ride the train to school.
There's also the female classmates who made me laugh three days ago.)

    Hero of justice, heh?
    Jekyll:
I don't mind if you laugh and think it's uncool, master.
    Tatsumi:
    As if I'd laugh.
Eh, Magecraft huh? I'm still too ignorant about that.
This right eye too, I didn't think it's much until you told me about it.
I don't know if I'd be able to use it well.
    Jekyll:
    I'll properly guide you.
During my lifetime, I was not a magus but...
at the end of pharmaceutics, I had arrived at one end of alchemy.
To some extent, I could teach you about it.
    Tatsumi:
Will that let me win? Mages and Heroic Spirits are like monsters, aren't they?
    Jekyll:
    I don't know.
    Tatsumi:
    Ha—haha—ha——! What's with that? Seriously?
    Don't make me laugh.
    (Command Seals, black wing patterns.
The number of feathers engraved on my body is just one.
As the more of these means a more excellent magician, apparently I am at the bottom.
    Odds are against me.
This is a fight between fighters that could defeat a tank.
And I even quit karate class in half a year.
Furthermore, the person who saved the world many times in play pretends in the past is now a second year highschool student.)

he—he—hehe! But even so, if I can't escape, then I'd have to do this.
    Jekyll:
    Hmm.
    Tatsumi:
    Let's do this, Berserker.
I may not be a hero of justice,
I want to protect this Tokyo and everyone who gave me smiles.
If the Holy Grail War will destroy Tokyo and Kill people, I... want to stop it.
    Jekyll:
    Thank you!
Therefore right here and now, my wish has been complete.
Among my past shortcomings, before I fell into evil madness... before my body was taken over the anti-hero... my wish was to impart justice.
That's why Tatsumi, I believe that you from the moment you summoned me, has already granted my wish for the grai.
I will stop the Holy Grail War and save Tokyo.
Your wish is not something the Holy Grail can grant.
You can only do it by your own hands, master.
    Tatsumi:
I'll do everything that I can.
If the girl I'm interested in dies before Valentine's Day,
then I won't be able to shake it off even if I die.

    Part 04: Sunshine 60

    Lancer:
    Aargh!
    Saber:
    Kuh!
    Lancer:
    Ugh!
    Haa!
    Saber:
    Khaa!
    Kuh!
    Lancer:
    Uh!
    Huuugh!
As expected of the number 1 servant.
    You're resilient.
You move quickly, precisely, without any openings.
You must be a really famous hero.
    Saber:
    I understand.
You have a fine disposition yourself too, number 4 servant, Lancer.
    Lancer:
Oh? I have been found out?
    That this is a spear.
    Saber:
Unlike mine, your weapon is easy to figure out.
'though it may somewhat be a bit too huge.
    Lancer:
    That's true.
    It's just a shame that your weapon won't show itself;
    it's hard to figure out.
    Unseen armament... it is...
    Saber:
I will accept your surrender any time.
Knights primarily point their blades to those that disrupt order.
    Lancer:
    You're kind aren't you?
Being kind to me like that... is problematic.
    Hah!
    Saber:
    Urgh!
    Lancer:
    Kuh!
    Well done.
    Saber:
    Kuh!
An oversized spear... it's like a giant's hand.
    Lancer:
Some have even compared it to a certain wolf's jaw,
    Saber:
It must have been an enormous wolf then.
    Lancer:
    Yes.
    Saber:
    Urk!
    Kuh!
    This force...
    Lancer:
    Not yet.
    Hah!
    Saber:
    Yeaargh!
    Lancer:
    Ufufu!
    Hah!
    Saber:
    Raaaagh!
    Lancer:
    Fhun!
    Ugh!
    Saber:
    Kaaaahhh!
    Lancer:
    Hught!
    Saber:
    Oh!
    A wall of flames...
    Lancer:
    Kuh!
    You're tough.
    Saber:
The one holding back with this level of attacks is you.
    Lancer:
Oh? I've been figured out again.
    A kind person.
I wonder if aiming to end this with one hit to my heart is a manifestation of your compassion.
    Saber:
    Compassion...
    Lancer:
    A kind person.
    A kind servant.
    If you're that kind...
    I...
    Saber:
    (What?
    a small bottle?
    An elixir, huh?)
    Lancer:
    It's problematic.
    Saber:
    Huh?
    Lancer:
    You're so full of kindness...
    Really, I'm... so troubled.

    Part 05: Skull Mask

    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    (What am I doing?
When I materialized, I was certainly me.
It's different, yet also the same in my past life.
    Poisonous flower.
    Poisonous woman.
There was a man in front of me.
The man was the same with every other men I have met.
They'd seek me... and I end up killing them.
This time for sure... is what I thought...
It's just the height of my wishful thinking.
I kill everything in my path.
Being the poison that I am...
    I have just one wish.
Someone who, even when touching me, wouldn't die, wouldn't fall, would give me smiles...
even though a being that would keep their life when touching me... can't possibly exist.
Therefore, I can nolonger have my wish granted.
Afterall, I have already killed him, my master.
I can't have the Holy Grail anymore.
I will disappear within the darkness... together with memories of my stupidity and regrets.
I have no choice but to disappear, but...
    I can't stop it.
    I... don't wan't to disappear!
    I... don't want to die!
I... still, haven't given up, huh?
One... two... It's been three days.
By murdering people... by eating their souls... I am able to sustain this transient life.
Changing this appearance with my skills... apart from my clothes and complexion.)
    ???♂:
Girl, why are you so lightly dressed?
Hahaha, foreigners are fine with the cold, huh?
    You alone?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Yes.
    ???♂:
    You... look so lonely.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    No...
    I'm... not lonely.
    But...
    ???♂:
    But?
    Oh? Hehehe.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
I'm sad... so... will you smile for me?
    Will you... comfort me?
    ???♂:
    Ugghhh... uggh... haahh... ugghh...
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(The lounge of that small hotel, along with the fifth one tonight...
I kissed them... and killed them.
I once again head to the train station.
    Night on Tokyo...
    Men on Tokyo...
    Tokyo's Toshima Ward, Ikebukuro.
    Around JR Ikebukuro station.
On this season, it's full of people.
Especially on the north part of the station...
since it's near the residential area.
There are a lot of men on their way home.
Also, there's a lot of hotels.
But... I can only do this a few more times.
Those people who were killed will catch attention.
    It will cause a commotion.
I'd end up killing people who can't even speak.
"Let's stop the serial killings on the north area... and move to the east."
    That's what I thought.
I am... I can't change the fact that I'm a servant whether I like it or not.)

    This feeling!
(Two pressences... two heroic spirits are... fighting now around the vicinity of Ikebukuro station.
Based on the direction and distance, the location is most likely by Sunshine 60 area.
    I should run...
I could no longer participate in the Holy Grail War.
However... they who do not know that, once they notice my existence, I will... be killed.
While I completely conceal my own presence, I flee towards the dark alleyway...
    to that building's rooftop.
If I jump over that building's rooftop, I'd be outside of Ikebukuro.
I don't want to die... I still want to live... I still don't want to give up.
That's why, I will live, live, live, survive.)
    Manaka:
    Oh?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(A voice... as gentle as a chiming of a bell.)
    Manaka:
    You're unusual, aren't you?
Hmm, I don't know that many servants, but...
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Huh?
    Manaka:
    You're Assassin aren't you?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    ...
    Manaka:
    Heh——— I see...
    you don't have a master, don't you?
    well then,
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(Standing on a rooftop, a lone little girl...
    under the moonlight.
She looked like this world's princess.)
    Manaka:
    Your face, show me.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(The little girl's pure white hand...
while bathing... in starlight and moonlight...
    glowing fingertips.
Just like that, my voracity has ended.)
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— ——————
    Narrator:
Heroic Spirit —— Servant —— Without prana, they can't exist.
In other words, they can't exist without a master.
Strictly speaking, servant summoning as well as the prana used in their materialization is from the Holy Grail.
It is done through the Holy grail.
The Holy Grail makes the impossible possible.
This can only be thought of as evidence that the Great Holy Grail is indeed an omnipotent wish granting vessel.
However, for maintaining the physical form of servants after summoning, and use of battle prowess... the prana used all comes from the master.
In addition, the masters serve as the servants' anchor in the present world.
For the heroic spirit to be a person of that era, they must be anchored there by their master.
After loosing their master, they can not exist.
As such, upon loosing their master, in accordance to a heroic spirit's original nature, most would immediately disappear.
Upon loosing their master, a servant would loose their anchor and vanish from this world.
They could maintain their form for a day or few with the Independent Action skill, but...
Independent Action skill is a special skill only for Archers.
It does not apply to servants of other classes.
    But there are exceptions.
Based on a heroic spirit's myths, legends, and anecdotes with relation to a long-term independent activity,
it's possible for them have some form of Independent Action skill regardless of class. Therefore, even after killing their master, don't let your guard down.
Further exceptions include... use of large quantities of consumable prana sources for suppression of vanishing and preservation of the body.
An example is feeding on souls as supplementary source of prana.

    Part 06: Late Night Rendezvous

    Saber:
    Manaka
    Manaka:
    Oh, perfectly on time!
    You're amazing, Saber.
I was just about to finish getting ready.
    Here, sit down.
    Saber:
    That's...
    Manaka:
    It's called a camp seat.
It is used for when you go outdoors —like for a picnic.
It might rarely be used on the roof of a building though.
I brought with me the magic bottle so I'll serve you hot tea.
    Here you go.
    Saber:
    Thank you.
    Manaka:
    Sit down.
    Saber:
    Yeah.
    Manaka:
You know you could sit much closer.
    Ufufu!
    Do you want more tea?
    Saber:
    It's fine.
    Manaka:
    Really?
To bring you outside and put you in danger, I was really against it.
But then it came to me! "You and me going out late at night like this is going to be fun!"
I never thought that this would be such a fun thing!
Ahaha! So fun that it's scary.
    Saber:
    Scary?
    Manaka:
After all, it makes me want to keep going out again.
    Saber:
    Well that would be problematic.
    Manaka:
Wait a moment. We haven't had dinner yet right?
    Ehehe!
I packed the basket full before going out.
Between sandwiches and rice balls, which do you prefer?
Do you know of Count Sandwich? Britain's future... no, thinking of it from now, it would be the past... apparently a nobleman there made it.
The count wanted to enjoy a game during a mealtime and thought of it.
That's why this is a suitable meal during a game.
    Saber:
    I see.
    Om...non..nom.
    (Delicious.
    Fresh vegetables.
In my era, raw vegetables were extremely valuable.)
    Manaka:
    Is it good?
    Saber:
    Hmm.
    Yeah.
    (Nostalgic
    The name is different, but...
It was also in Brittain transmitted from Rome.
    Bread was... from long ago...)
    I love (it).
    Manaka:
    Eh?
    Saber:
    I Love (it)!
    Manaka:
    Just now...
    Saber:
    Huh?
    Manaka:
    Just now... just...
I may be a bit to self conscious but... that's unfair, Saber.
    Saber:
I just encountered a single servant a while ago.
    Most likely Lancer.
We clashed but... I couldn't grasp the limits of her abilities.
She didn't activate her Noble Phantasm either.
And then... after drinking something, she disappeared disappointingly.
It was good that I was the one to encounter her.
If by chance you were discovered by Lancer...
    Manaka:
    Hmm?
    Saber:
As I thought, we really shouldn't part ways outside the workshop.
    Manaka:
    Ehehehe!
    You're worried for me, yeah?
    Saber:
    That's to be expected.
    Manaka:
    You're a worrywart Saber.
    No, you're just really kind.
But don't worry, I would immediately know whenever someone approaches me.
That's why it's nothing at all.
    Saber:
It's true that you have put up a powerful barrier around here, but...
    It's still dangerous.
For example, if it's the Assassin servant.
    Manaka:
You don't need to worry about Assassin.
I already dealt with her a while ago.
    Saber:
    Hmm?
    Manaka:
I don't mean I defeated her, but she's no longer an enemy.
    Saber:
    What do you mean?
    Manaka:
    I just did something.
    Saber:
    Huh?
    Manaka:
    It is safe here.
There are no Mages nor Servant within a 3km radius.
    Hey Saber,
I managed to do something about one servant so...
    reward...
    Saber:
    That's true...
    Manaka:
    Eh? Eh?
    Saber...
    Saber:
    Stay Still.
    Chu——
    Manaka:
    Hyahuwaa——!
    U-U-Unfair! That's unfair!
Even I thought lips-to-lips is still a bit too early. I thought so but...
The forehead? No, I'm happy! I'm happy with your touch!
    However... but... but uhm...
    Saber:
    Heh.
(Like this she is much more like her age, able to express a pleasing reaction.
Pure... is not the term... there is no mistake about that.
She is more like... a clean white... an unblemished white...
or an absolute white that paints out all of creation.)

    Narrator:
    Holy Grail War ——Day 4
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— ——————————————————
    ???♀:
Dear Father, you called for me?
    Misaya's Father:
    Misaya? Enter.
    Misaya:
    Yes.
    Good morning, dear father!
    Misaya's Father:
    Good morning, Misaya!
That said, the sun has yet to rise.
    Misaya:
    Around two more hours.
    Misaya's Father:
I called you before dawn, I guess I have interrupted your restful sleep.
    I'm sorry——
    Misaya:
    ——No... such...
Please talk to me about anything.
Mother and the servants are in the villa in Izu after all.
    Misaya's Father:
I cannot treat you like a maid, Misaya.
    Misaya:
    Father!
    Misaya's Father:
    Hmm?
    Misaya:
Is it not necessary to reinforce the workshop?
The Holy Grail War has already...
    Misaya's Father:
    Ah... It has already started.
My familiars have already confirmed two aggressive clashing between servants.
    Misaya:
    Then...
    Misaya's Father:
    There's no need to worry.
Reiroukan is at the top in magecraft in the far east.
That does not change in the duration of the Holy Grail War.
    Misaya:
    Father...
    (What?
    Behind father... something...
    hidden via magecraft?
    "sight enhancement")

    A human shadow?
    Who?
    ???♂:
    You're a wise child.
It may have only been rudimentary, but to be able to see through my concealment magecraft.
Aside from your bloodline, there's also your talent and devotion.
I'm sure your teacher is also good at teaching.
    Misaya's Father:
    I am honored.
    Misaya:
    Fa—ther?
    Misaya's Father:
Reinforcement of the mage workshop has already been done, Misaya.
Workshop... no, it could even be called a temple now.
With his splendid use of skillfull magecraft... my mansion has been remade into an unprecedented fortress of mystery.
    Misaya:
    Temple?
    Misaya's Father:
    Give your greetings, Misaya.
He shall be the one to bring Reiroukan to the Root.
    Misaya:
    Bring to... the Root?
    ???♂:
Nice to meet you, little princess.
    Misaya:
    Ah?
    Caster:
You must have recieved my teachings,
o' one of the many childred of the future.
I am an olden being that manifested into the Caster class.
Just like you, I also aim for the Root as one magus...
    together with your father.
    Please be friends with me.

Part 08: The Advent of the Sun is Right Here

    Mr. Isemi:
    O' Holy Grail!
A heroic spirit summoning happened here.
With the Isemi family's rage, indignation, and pride
I have summoned you, o' luminous Rider.
With the power of an ancient king, the Holy Grail shall be ours!
We shall not fall behind the reiroukan.
    Hear me, we shall not!
While borrowing the powers of western magecraft and modern civilization,
as a mage family, the only reason we kept on existing is all for this moment!
    We shall be ressurected!
This shall be the last time that those fools from the mages association would look down on us as a third-rate family!
Originally, the history of our Isemi house runs deeper than the waters in the ocean.
That was until a few centuries ago when another western magecraft family of equal standing arrived in this land, unforgivable!
On top of this, for even the omnipotent wish granting vessel, the Holy Grail, to fall onto the hands of the Reiroukan,
our Isemi name would immediately fall onto the ground!
    We can't allow that!
    We definitely can't allow that!
    Look upon this mask!
A mystic code that augment these declining magic circuits which absorbs the prana that's released by others into the wearer —That's our mask!
Absoring prana from those masses ignorant of mystics,
we will turn you into the literal Strongest Servant!
Western Magecraft, science, and with the lives of the ignorant masses... for now we shall bear with our powerlessness and shame.
We just have to bear with it... in order to fight.
In order for the Holy grail, hidden here in Tokyo, to be subdued by these hands.
At that moment, even we fell from grace like the dark snake... we reached out to western magecraft; as that's not enough we used science...
——it's tough to wash off of family's sins now.
As such, I declare, o' heroic spirit brought upon by my ritual, we must get the Holy Grail no matter what!
    ???♂:
    What a petty vessel.
    Boring!
    Mr. Isemi:
    What?
    Pharaoh:
    How foolish.
    What's more, ah... how comical!
'Guess there are just some things that wont change no matter the era.
The very fact that people are idiots isn't something that I, the Pharaoh, shall be resurrected for.
However, so long as you know your place and reach out for the heavens...
——as the Sun, as a god, as a being of equal standing to Amun and Mut, there shall be no need to punish your pettiness.
    Mr. Isemi:
    ...
    Pharaoh:
Magus from a land in the far east, to be able to summon me, you must have used a catalyst, right?
    Mr. Isemi:
    ...
    Pharaoh:
Divulge it. What did you use as a catalyst?
Was it the vestiges of my chariot taken from my decisive battle against the Hittites?
Or was it the Egyptian-Hittite peace treaty?
Or could it be that you dared to steal my mummified remains?
    Mr. Isemi:
    Nay... Nay... Nay!
Naturally for this mystery, even as to summon you in my workshop here on Mt. Okutama, a catalyst was needed.
Just as you were thinking, 'o great Pharaoh.
For us to summon you, we made use of the last necklace that Queen Nefertari wore.
    Paraoh:
    Is that so?
    Kuhaha!
Well done in researching about me.
    Certainly.
Rather than deriving from me... to call upon me with my sun's radiance, my beautiful Nefertari's scent definitely works best.
    URAEUS!
    Mr. Isemi:
    Uooh!
    Uooooooohhhh!!!!
    Our 40 barriers...
    even our special ballistic glass...
    ——in an instant!?
    Through the steel armor...
even to my workshop in this hidden shelter...
——in one hit... got bore out!?
    Pharaoh:
    SILENCE!
    You peasant,
for thou hast defiled my beloved queen,
    start imagining thine end.
    Choose:
——be devoured by a divine beast,
——or should I erase you and your entire family now?
Ah... don't even think of using your command seals now.
Before your words could even reach,
my light could burn out this entire place much faster.
    Mr. Isemi:
Art thou... are you going to abandon your wish for the Holy Grail?
    Pharaoh:
Rather than dancing at the palm of thine filth, that is so much better.
    Now choose.
    Mr. Isemi:
    Uooh... Uwaaaahhh!!!!
    Haaahh!
    uuuuggghhh...
    Pharaoh:
    Twice your heart stopped...
Twice that mask forced you to rewaken didn't it?
Hoh? For a magus thou hast pluck.
Do you wish to taste the moment of death while holding on to your consiousness?
    Mr. Isemi:
    Ughhhaaaahhhh....
Nay... I won't ask you to forgive my insolence.
I have long since resolved myself to be killed.
All for the sake of achieving every magus' great ambition.
To showcase the power of our Isemi family.
All for that sake, we risked summoning a kin of Amun.
    Pharaoh:
    I see.
    I am the banner!
    I am the heavens!
    I am lenient!
I shall let thy keep thine life.
You said you have the resolve, right?
    Then that feeling, that wish...
If that is a wish to make you worthy as my master...
and the worth of this family of yours... I shall judge with my own eyes.
However, if you dare bore me, I shall immediately make my wrath known to you and your entire family.
    —————————————————————————————————————————————————— —————————————————
    Pharaoh:
    You call this a workshop?
    Isn't this a labyrith?
Still, even though it's this bright, what is this?
Let alone being unsuitable for the living,
this is more like a tomb where the dead sleeps.
Hmph. It seems my displeasure won't abate soon.
    Guard:
Who? In a place such as this?
    Pharaoh:
    Hmm
    Guard:
That's... no... He's the one lord Shizuri summoned... servant?
    Pharaoh:
    You, what's in that room?
    Guard:
    It's... the computer room.
It's where the supercomputer is always running its calculations with a special software and a hardware that is mixed with magecraft.
    Pharaoh:
So it's not some ritual tool or a kind of a mystic code?
    Guard:
    Yes.
    Pharaoh:
    And that is?
It looks a bit too different to be a homonculus culture tank.
    Guard:
    It is as you say.
Just that... as opposed to the alchemy of the past, with the advancements of modern alchemy, we're able to run this even with miniscule amount of prana.
And as for the homunculus itself, we are able to make use of a human infant we are able to omit the initial production——
    Paraoh:
Just as said by the masked old man.
    How unsightly.
    Drugs, huh?
    Hmm?
The white robed men have dissappeared?
A young child connected to a machine?
Were you left alive after some kind of torture?
Not only the flesh, but even the internal organs?
It seems you have magic circuits.
    I see.
Not as a human... you're being left alive as a magic circuit, am I correct?
As it stands, it must be very painful just to be staying alive.
    Boy:
    fuuu...huuuuhh...
    Pharaoh:
    What's your name?
    Boy:
    Haaahh...
    Pharaoh:
I'll forgive your lack of speech.
Therefore, forgive me for pouring water into your fight.
    I am the great Pharaoh.
As one of my citizens, should you offer your prayer to the heavens, I shall hear them.
I won't mind giving you mercy.
    Boy:
    Haah... I have... a wish.
May the people of this world find happiness.
    Pharaoh:
    What?
(What's this? Even though he'll only suffer so long as he lives, he won't even curse, hate, mourn.
A royal trait? Nay. A warrior's spirit? Nay. A magus' talent? Nay. That's wrong.
This can't possibly be something that greedy.
This feeling; this pressence; this nobility...
    and... ahh...
The very words being conveyed to me right now...)
    (???♂:
May there be peace for the world and its people.
The gods in the heavens, the Pharaoh, and the various other gods that people pray to... I'm sure they all wish for the same thing.)

    (Heh
So a person so courageous, kind, and cowardly similar to you exist, huh?)
    Boy:
    Heeehh... uhhh..
    Pharaoh:
Heh! to think that after three thousand and a few hundred years passed, I'd get to hear the same words again.
    Rejoice
    trapped child.
Carrying your existence, I have allowed the Isemi family to live on.
    Boy:
    Haa...a...a...a...
    Pharaoh:
    You lost consciousness, huh?
    That should be expected.
Were you an ordinary man, the pain should have made you crazy.
At least surely within your dreams, as you suffer, as you feel the pain, you should still continue my words just now, little child.
    Similar to my beloved friend.

    Part 09: Tick-Tock

    Narrator:
With the seventh Heroic Spirit Summoning,
The stage in Tokyo, for the world's first Holy Grail War, will increasingly be severe.
There can only be one wish to be granted by the Holy Grail.
In that regard, the number of Heroic Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail and the seven participating magus is
    seven pairs.
    In other words...
    conflict, fights, killing...
the one remaining at the end will have their wish granted.
    Holy Grail War
    —an unprecedented matter,
    and a one-of-a-kind deathmatch.

Fate/Protoype: Sougin no Fragments CD Drama Volume 2

After a long hiatus due to various reasons, I was finally able to continue translating this Drama CD
oh and I decided to change 魔力 (maryoku) from "Prana" to "Magical Energy" since that's the official translation in FGO
although the term "Thaumaturgy" isn't used in official translation, I decided to include it as another translation for 魔術 (Majutsu) for cases wherein it would sound better but it's still the exact same thing as "magecraft" (for example: "Thaumaturgical Defense" sounds better than "magecraft defense")
lastly, I would like to apologize if I misassigned a name in Part 07: Gossip because Ayaka may have been one of those ??? ♀ but I couldn't be sure with the voices (lol)

    Volume 2
    Disk 1

    Part 01: Secret Game I

    Kitano Tatsumi:
Right... left... good. No one here.
No good. The emergency stairwell exit is chained shut, Berserker.
Hngh! Fine, fine. Climb over this, right?
    Yo― toh!
Haaah! What am I doing in the middle of the night?
That was easier than I thought.
    No... theft... more like, trespassing?
    I've arrived.
Man really... it's so easy to climb atop the building rooftop.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Good job, Tatsumi.
How did you deal with the lock on the rooftop?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Hmm? It wasn't locked though.
    Henry Jekyll:
    That's great!
If the building owner chose to lock it, we might have had to search for another building.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
You should say such things first!
    Henry Jekyll:
    (The owner, huh?
    This unusually thick forest... no...
with this plot of land that could easily be mistaken for a real forest,
this residence is easily hidden from its surroundings.
    Bounded field ———a thaumaturgical defense.
I don't know its extent, but it's completely isolated.
In other words: here in Tokyo Suginami, there's a large mansion that extols mysteries.
The owner is the prestigious Reiroukan main family.
There's no mistaking they're this city's shadow rulers ———its second owners.
But as for the question about the participating master being here...)
    Second Owner... Magecraft.
If I had this knowledge in life, I could have been more useful to Mister Holmes.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Berserker?
    Henry Jekyll:
    No, It's nothing.
    I'm ready anytime.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Me too.
I just thought of checking your appearance... perhaps.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Perhaps?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    This is just binoculars, y'know?
It's not a night vision scope.
Also, in truth, using this to look at the city from a high vantage is unethical.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Uhn.
Sorry for forcing you to do this.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    No, it's fine.
If you got curious, then we must check it out.
In the middle of Tokyo there's this bounded field thing?
If someone just boldly set it up, I'd also be curious.
If there's a master that wants to turn Tokyo into a warzone,
then we must stop that no matter what... that's what I think.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Thank you.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
However, Reiroukan... was it? If they're just normal mages and not masters,
then even if I must use my command seal, I'll bring you back. Understand?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Yeah.
I also don't wish for sacrifices in vain.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Alright, then go Berserker.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Understood!
    ...

    Raaahh!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (Uh... that's amazing.
He looks like Screaming Mad George, more so than I thought.)
    Can you hear me, Berserker?
(Oh yeah, when using it, he won’t react to me even if he hears me.)
    Edward Hyde:
    Raaaarrgggh! Rhhee———
    Frrrrmmmmfuuu———
    Grrhmmm...
    GRAAAAAAA!!!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Thoughtlessly charging in!?
    (Berserker ———Mad Warrior.
I was wondering up to how true that was... yeah this is definitely a berserker.)
    Edward Hyde:
    Graah!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (He was repelled!?)
    Edward Hyde:
    Grr...
    Kitano Tatsumi:
(That light... we're being impeded by something invisible...
immediately after it's like something was fired.
    Huh?)
    Berserker! Above!
    Edward Hyde:
    Graahh...
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (What was that... light?
    It's more than a meter.
A Jewel? A machine of some sort?
What was that? Wait... that's... suspended? No! It's floating in the air!
I have a bad feeling about this!)
    Edward Hyde:
    GGRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
    Kitano Tatsumi:

    Part 02: Secret Game II
    Narrator:
Skill ———It's an extremely powerful mystery, but it's not absolute.
There are other existences that could be called absolute ———Noble Phantasms.
It is precisely the Noble Phantasms that would decide the outcomes of this Holy Grail War.
    It's an important cornerstone.
For most cases, it is in the form of the Heroic Spirit's armament extolled in their epics, and they're evidently powerful.
Noble Phantasm ———originating from people's fantasies given form; the ultimate power.
    Their firepower is immense.
If it's an offensive type, then it would surely blow the enemies into smithereens; even if they're Heroic Spirits, Mages, or even those uninvolved in the world of magecraft.
Keep in mind: There are plenty of things to be aware of to move onwards in the Holy Grail War, but it is much more important to be aware of the usage of Noble Phantasms.
    ———that's all.
    ———excerpt from an old note.
    Caster:
    (I see...
It's probably one of the seven heroic spirits participating in this Holy Grail War; Berserker.
Indeed for more than 20 seconds, while taking extreme heat blasts from my elemental, he's enduring.
He doesn't even have a magical resistance skill.
He's enduring purely with his physical prowess.
Even with extreme heat that could easily melt steel... such a body is unbelievable.
I think that your such body, much like a mythical monstrosity, must be equivalent to a Noble Phantasm.
    Splendid!
I'm sure that it could even easily endure a head on clash with another participant.
However, just how far will you be able to receive my salamander's attacks?)
    Edward Hyde:
    Uwooh! Woh! OOOAAAAAAHHHH!!!
    Ghhhghhh...ghh! ghhh!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Berserker!
    That's enough! Run away!
Damnit! What should I... He's too far for me to take away.
Should I bring him out with a command seal?
Wait... I was able to do it against birds, right?
    uugh... haah...
Doing the same against a huge gem floating in the sky isn't impossible!
My right eye has power, isn't that right?
In that case, I will have to use this now!
    Stop. Stop. Stop! Stop!
    Edward Hyde:
    Grrrr!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yes! It stopped!
So this flying jewel is a living organism, huh?
    Edward Hyde:
    Raaah! Urgh!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Why are you attacking?
That's not it, Berserker... run a...way... ugh...
    Henry Jekyll:
    Grrrr... Goorrrrrrrrggghhh...
Aaaccchhhh.... This...is... my body is... back...
My consciousness too... aghh! Could it be? Tatsumi!?
    Kuh!
(Will it come after me again? Even in its fractured state? No matter what?)
    Huh?
    Uh... It's leaving?
Me without the effects of dangerous game is not a threat to be disposed of, huh?
    That's true.
If a powerful bounded field was set up to here then, that should be enough.
    Setting that aside, for now…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Ug... uhhh...
    Henry Jekyll:
Ah It's better if you don't move yet.
    Stay like that for now.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Eh? No but you...
    Henry Jekyll:
    Stay like that.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
A man's lap pillow? ...Doesn't make me happy.
    Henry Jekyll:
Bear with it. Rest for now.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    O———oh...
    Uh... if I remember...
    Henry Jekyll:
    You used your mystic eyes.
    Through that binoculars.
Thanks to that, I was saved.
    Thank you.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah.
    Heh, I see.
    It somehow worked out.
    Henry Jekyll:
    However, that was dangerous, Tatsumi.
The fact that I turned back to this form means that magical energy stopped flowing through the path from you to me.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Uhh...?
    Henry Jekyll:
Your magical energy... it means your life energy was used.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Is that bad?
    Henry Jekyll:
Ah... I guess I would have to reexplain, huh?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Ahahaha Sorry.
Heh anyways, I'm glad you're safe.
    Henry Jekyll:
    oh... Tatsumi.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
Well then, how was the mansion?
    Henry Jekyll:
    The barrier was immediately strengthened.
Two days ago, the barrier I felt when investigating it alone was not this powerful.
    The workshop was reconstructed.
That is much closer to a temple.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Temple...
    Henry Jekyll:
Much more... That jewel-like thing, an automatic defensive mystic code, is not something a modern mage can do.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Then that means... The Reiroukan...
    Henry Jekyll:
    Yeah.
    Not only are they mages,
they also have a master participating in the Holy Grail War with a servant.
There's no mistake that it's caster that they have summoned.

    Part 03: Signal Fire

    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Confirming ———Suginami ward;
———Reiroukan mansion is fortified by Caster,
as well as it being intruded by one servant... confirmed it is Berserker's presence.
Neither of them has seen past my presence concealment.
This bounded field... I don't think I... can... break past it.
    Lancer:
    ———that is all.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Caster along with Berserker...
    Hmph
    Moving so flamboyantly.
    Lancer:
    Yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Anything else?
    Lancer:
No, only those two servants were in the act.
    Nigel Sayward:
For now let's assume that there's a servant in spiritual form and can't be detected.
Or perhaps there's a master that is looking from afar using a familiar.
    Lancer:
    Yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Hmm?
    Lancer:
    Master?
    Nigel Sayward:
Forget about Caster ———it’s just a mere mage that won’t come out.
    Lancer:
    Y—yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Also, ———fumu ———Berserker's appearance.
    Lancer:
———like a shadow clad in haze,
    as if invisible to man,
and bared fangs like a carnivore.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Fumu.
As expected... are those eyes certain, Lancer?
Didn't I order you to face every single servant at least once first before drinking the elixir?
    Lancer:
    Forgive me master.
Saber ———he is definitely worthy being called the number one servant... I felt a true hero.
    That's why... I———
    Nigel Sayward:
    ———drank my elixir.
    Lancer:
    ...yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    That is fine.
    Lancer:
    ...?
    Nigel Sayward:
    "That is fine" ———I said.
    Lancer:
    Y-yes.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Continue Patrolling.
I'll be moving to the second safehouse.
    Lancer:
    Yes
    Nigel Sayward:
    Hmm.
    Phone:
    *ring*
    Nigel Sayward:
    Not helping.
    ???♂:
    Pardon, Mister Nigel Sayward.
    It's an urgent matter.
    Nigel Sayward:
    No, just talking to myself.
If the overseer of the Holy Grail War has something urgent to tell me, I'll listen.
    ???♂:
A master... we've confirmed one dropped out.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Hoh?
    ???♂:
    Oh? You don't seem surprised.
    Nigel Sayward:
You've heard of my second name, haven't you?
    ???♂:
    Yes.
The one that dropped out was Jinga Seiji.
He summoned Assassin and died just a little after.
    To be precise———
    Nigel Sayward:
———His servant bared fangs against him.
    ???♂:
    Great discernment.
    Nigel Sayward:
    And then?
To call me by phone, you're being careless.
    ???♂:
It's information open for all masters.
Of course, only those who have allied with the church.
Back to the topic ———yeah ———About the Assassin that slayed their master.
I would like to have them dealt with.
It's the consensus of the representatives of the church, the temple knights.
    Nigel Sayward:
    Hmph.
    fuh.

    Part 04: Archer and Assassin

    Assassin:
    Kuh! Agh! Ha!
    Archer:
    Toh!
    Kuhaha!
    Fu!
    Assassin:
    Hah!
    Archer:
    You're swift!
    Elza:
    Fast... too fast!
High speed fight is more than I imagined.
Archer is fast, but Assassin is also fearsomely fast.
That won't be possible for humans.
Even for mages, it's an impossible situation.
    This is... a servant.
(Discovering her like this was lucky.
We heard of an Assassin that lost its master and is in a feral state, but is that true?
Now that fighting has begun, she shouldn't be able to conceal her presence.
Even though I'm using magecraft to not let her out my sight, I can only see afterimages.)
Don't let your guard down, Archer.
I won't tell you to go as far as Noble Phantasm, just figure out one of their skills and immediately return.
    Archer:
    (Affirmative, Elza.)
    Heh...!
    Humph... Sei!
    Assassin:
    Ahh!
    Akh!
    Archer:
    Hah!
    You're dodging well!
    Ei!
Though I say that, I've pretty much figured out her moves.
    Elza:
Does that mean you can win?
    Archer:
It means I won't die here. Neither me nor her.
    Elza:
    In that case...
(Don't be tricked by her speed, Elza.
Assassin has a mid-ranged fighting style...
———throwing multiple knife-like things molded by magical energy to cause a confusion and push Archer into close quarters.
With that said, she won't just recklessly charge in.
What a rational way of fighting.
Not something that can be done while rampaging.
We did have info that she went on a killing spree around Ikebukuro... at the very least she holds her ego while fighting.)
    Huh? That can't be right.
(I'm gripping hard on the handle... my palms are sweating too.)
    Am I excited?
    What a despicable woman.
(I'm sorry for being a dumb mother, Luca.
    But, I won't give up!
So long as I have Archer, I'm sure ———Until the end I'll...)
    Archer:
    There's no way you're despicable.
    Elza:
    Uh?
    Archer:
Praying for a man with one foot on his grave, well———
doesn't that make you a great woman?
    Hei!
    Unurgh!
    Well I like that!
    Uwoooooh!
    Assassin:
    Ughah!
    kuh!
    seven consecutive shots midair…
    Each are sharp and heavy!
    kuh...
So this is The Heroic Spirit of the Bow?
    Elza:
    Even that was repelled!?
    Archer!
    Archer:
Yeeaah! It would be troublesome had she not repelled that.
This bridge, was it called 'Nihonbashi'? It's some kind of ruin or something that been around for a long time, right?
If I don't limit myself then I'd receive just punishment.
    Elza:
You're fighting while worrying about cultural property!?
    Archer:
    Hehe!
    Elza:
    Ha———
    It can't be helped then!
    Archer:
    Urgh...
    Assassin:
    Haaahh———
    Archer:
    You're something.
I was serious with that shot.
    Assassin:
Huh? Why won't you completely shoot seriously?
That way, you may even be able to kill me.
    Archer:
"Why" and "What for" should be my words.
Li'l girl, why do you kill people?
I don't care if you're a Heroic Spirit of an assassin or something, but involving unrelated people is just horrible.
    Assassin:
    Hah———
    It's because I need souls.
    Archer:
Hehーno no, that's not what I'm talking about.
    Assassin:
    Is that so?
    Archer:
    Yeah, that's so.
    Assassin:
    (There's no reason.
    This is a pointless conversation.
He has yet to see my body's fastest.
I stopped my Presence Concealment, but it's fine.
Even though it's against one of the three knight classes, I'll fight.
I——— if it's in exchange for my life, I should be able to kill if it's just one.
I don't think——— I can win this Holy Grail War.
This body, this life, I've already offered it to my lord.
    That's why I stopped running.
    That's why I'm fighting.)
    Hah———
    Farewell.
    Ugh!
    (Accelerate faster than sound!
I'll kill him with my top speed.
He won’t be able to evade, nor is he a swordsman.
By common sense, I should be able to beat him in close quarters.
A charge with all my might.)
    Haaah!
(Now kill! I shall tear you apart!
By scattering the bodily fluids generated from this transient body,
just one touch from the petals of this poisonous flower,
regardless of whether they're Heroic Spirits or Phantasmals, all their cells will go crazy———)
    Khaaaa!
    (———and kill them!
    For my lord's sake!)
    Kuhhhh!———
    Archer:
    No good.
    Assassin:
    Ugh! uhaaa———!
    Archer:
    Haaaaaah!
    Assassin:
    Uuughhh!
    Hah...
    (My acceleration was stopped?
    Impossible. Impossible. Impossible. Impossible.
    It just can't be.
He, Archer... no way. No way. He held my right arm.
Even for a servant, the poison should take effect.
Even if they won't die immediately, their body should numb, and they'll lose their voice.)
    Archer:
    Is that fine?
    Assassin:
    Haaahh!
    Archer:
Are you truly fine with that?
    Assassin:
    Hahhh...
    u...kuh! Let go! ah———let go!
If you won't let go, then kill me!
    Archer:
    Yeah, I'll let go.
    Assassin:
    Aaahhh———
    Kuhh!
    Archer:
    Oh, spirit form, huh?
    You'll run away, li'l girl?
    Elza:
    Archer!
    Archer:
I'm sorry, Elza. I let her escape.
    Elza:
    You held back, didn't you?
    Archer:
    Mmm.
    Elza:
    May I ask why?
    Archer:
    Haaaahh———
Behind that mask lies her eyes.
    Elza:
    Eyes?
    Archer:
    Fuu———
This Holy Grail War is more troublesome than I thought.

    Part 05: Midnight Radio

    Henry Jekyll:
    Hah
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Ah!
    Haah———! I’m tired!
Magical energy consumption is this exhausting, huh?
Here I thought I had more stamina than average.
    Henry Jekyll:
Especially with the use of Noble Phantasm.
    I’ll make you tea.
    Or is water better?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Haah———
    Yeah
    Water.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Eh
    Hmm
    Here you go
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    *Gulp* *gulp* *Gulp* *gulp* Haaah!
    Haah! I’m back to life!
    Henry Jekyll:
I want you to rest properly tonight.
    Relaxation is necessary for recovery.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah, I’ll do that.
It’s quite late too so I guess I’ll sleep until afternoon.
    Henry Jekyll:
    What about school?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
About that, isn’t this not the time for school?
    Henry Jekyll:
You can think of it that way too…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Hmm?
    Henry Jekyll:
The moment the Holy Grail War started, you stopped going to school. Wouldn’t that seem suspicious?
Of course, that’s only the case for people like the Reiroukan who well-known mages, or people related to them.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
In that case, I’m nothing but a civilian estranged to mystics.
Even if I skip school, I have no mage acquaintances to be suspicious of me to begin with.
    It’s decided! I’ll skip tomorrow!
    Henry Jekyll:
    Is that really fine?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    It’ll be fine!
Well then, with that decided, let’s listen to the radio before going to sleep, Berserker.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Ah! Radio!?
Hertz’ EM waves, extending Marconi’s wireless telegraphy using transmission equipment for audio broadcast, right?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
Why are your eyes sparkling so much?
    Isn’t television more amazing?
Although I do prefer the radio.
    Radio:
Hahaha! And then, it became a talk about “is the midnight waterfront a sport?” hahaha
    Well then, next correspondence…
Eh from Kenta-kun Daisuki of Toshimaku Zaiju. Thank you.
    Let’s see…
“I heard about this from a friend. It’s not a lie.
Near the JR-Ikebukuro Station, Mary-san appeared again.”
    Haah… Mary-san again, huh? That’s scary.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Mary-san?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I don’t know that. What’s that?
    Radio:
“My friend’s relative is a janitor at a love hotel. And it seems they saw it.
In the hotel room, there’s a male corpse. And in the mirror, there’s a red lipstick graffiti.
The corpse’ head was mostly melted, and only the chin remained.”
    That’s dirty! Scary!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Screaming Mad George…
    Henry Jekyll:
    What’s that?
    Radio:
    That’s about it for today.
I think it was from three or four days ago. Everyday we get this kind of correspondence about Mary-san of Ikebukuro.
The fact that it’s increasing seems realistic.
There’s no announcement or anything from the police though.
    None, right? Hahaha! There’s none.
It’s also not in the newspaper.
    Nevertheless, it makes me curious.
Anyone who has information about Mary-san, please send your correspondence to this radio program. We’ll be waiting.
It seems that she’s a beauty on white clothes.
I want to meet her once too.
Eh? I’ll die? It’ll be trouble if I die? Hahahaha!
Makes you remember of stuff like human-faced dog and slit-mouthed woman.
Is Mary-san the contemporary slit-mouthed woman or not? Just kidding.
    Alright, next correspondence.
    From Wataru Owaranai of Koutoku…
    Henry Jekyll:
    Oh!
Heh… Tea. I thought you’d drink, so I brewed one.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah.
    *glug* *glug* *glug* *glug*
    Hah!
Since a few days ago… Mary-san who kills people.
    Does that seem suspicious?
    Henry Jekyll:
    I wonder…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
Any chance this is related to the Holy Grail War?
    Henry Jekyll:
    I don’t know.
    Just that I won’t say it’s impossible.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Thought so… of course.
    Narrator:
    Holy Grail War
    4th Day ――ーEnd.
    And 5th Day…

    Part 06: Azoth Sword

    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Hmm...
    Father...
Ask in person, implore a reply —ー—that's what father taught me.
    True Name...
(Occuring here in Tokyo, this large scale thaumaturgical ritual called The Holy Grail War.
Manifesting through a fated rule, one of the seven heroic spirits —ー—Caster.
A man given form as Reiroukan's Servant.)
    He's a man... right?
(I was overwhelmed by him... a pressure from an evil spirit, a demonic beast, or a senior magus... I wonder what that was.)
    hmm...
(A room with a red door... Father used this room as a storage before talks of the Holy Grail War came out.
    The door is slightly open.)
How careless to leave the door open...
    Caster:
    Misaya, right?
    Do please come in.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Uhn? Ueh... ah————
    Caster:
    ohoh...
    Good Morning.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Uhooohu...
    (Pretty man.
    Beautiful person.
A feminine-like kind feeling lengthily emanates… Probably due to his glossy hair.)
    Caster:
Welcome... —ー—would be weird to say...
—ー—this mansion is you and your father's property after all.
    Here, Misaya.
Staying there in the hall must be cold. No need to hold back.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Yes.
    Whoah...
(What is this? A bulky mage workshop with mountains of essentials.
Unused empty books are all over...
A pale blue lump of flesh floating in a water tank connected to a brass machinery…
    ―ーーHomunculus?
What are these mummified reptiles stored in a rack?
    ―ーーCatalysts for magecraft?
Figures of heart and fangs that can’t possible have come from a normal organism.
    Obsidian interior… golden skull… wall… floor…
There are even scribbles on the ceiling. In other words, magic circles.
―ーーVarieties of summoning circles and magecraft formulas.)
    Waah
    Amazing… in just one night…
    Caster:
    Ufu
    Misaya Reiroukan:
(Going outside is not allowed during the Holy Grail War.
Mother and the servants were moved into the villa in Izu.
I personally asked to stay for the sake of learning.
Also skipping school… a daily life of seclusion in my own room.
Not once did it bother me, but…
    I guess I was bored.)
    Uhm…
    May I ask a question?
    Caster:
    Of course.
Nothing would please me more than to guide with my teachings.
    I shall answer your questions.
You too, like your father, have recieved my teachings.
You're just one of the many children of the future.
So long as you wish for it, all there is left is for me to answer.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Hah―ーー
I wish to ask about the things in this room.
They’re all things I’ve never seen before.
    For example… uhh…
    What could this be?
It looks like a dehydrated corpse of a reptile.
    Caster:
    Ah―ーー
    That’s a Salamander.
    Its mummified remains.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Salamander?
    (Phantasmal!
One theory suggests that it’s the sovereign of one of the elements.)
Even if it exists, it’s an extremely precious…
    To have it on display…
    Caster:
    That is indeed the case.
Much so in modern day, even in my times it is a phantasmal that has already long since hidden itself.
For a relic of it to remain like this, it is not unnatural to use it for research and experiments.
You can expect much greater effects when using it as catalyst for elemental magic.
And it’s also impressive as a catalyst in alchemy.
Though it differs depending on the process, it can even be a guide to its figure back in days of yore.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Is summoning it possible?
    Caster:
    It is.
Though I use it as material for my Elemental.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Ahh――ー
He says that so easily as if it’s a matter of course.
    Caster:
The conversion of the fire element can be considered as a simple brute force magecraft,
but when mastered, someday for sure you may even reach flames that can even rival the sun.
Of course, that’s just a metaphor.
But thinking of it that way is also lovely, don’t you think?
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Lovely?
To take into mind things other than practicality… ―ー―in magecraft!?
    Caster:
    Hmm.
    I’ll bring out a chair.
Let’s rest our hips while we talk.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
Well then, what is that thing visible within that bottle?
    Caster:
    It’s a premature homunculus.
Using a special solution, you can slow down its growth stages and preserve its form.
With this, it is possible to observe subtle changes.
Given that they already have short lives, knowing why that is so, may lead to overcoming their short lives ――is what I believe.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
Well then, what could that thing visible next to it be? It somewhat looks like a crystal.
    Caster:
Those crystals are not exactly crystals. It is four of the five great elements extracted one-by-one.
By the way, behind it is the fifth ―formless ether given form, a fragment of an ether clump.
Element clump, ether clump, and this jewel injected with magical energy.
I created them all last night.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Last night?
(A jewel imbedded with magical energy used in jewel magecraft… to do something of this level on just spare time!? ―In one night!?
If it were a modern-day magus, it wouldn’t be out of the question to spend a whole year.
    That’s… a servant.)
    aaahh――ー
    Caster:
The ultimate form of ether is connected to the lost mystical age ―is what I think.
    In the far ancient past
the correct radiance of the mind attained by the sages of Chaldea ―is what I wish to reach.
That is the ultimate light that fills this universe to the brim, and at the same time it is also the light of this planet.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Light of the planet?
    Caster:
    Yes.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    (A modest study session.
It’s just a simple summary, but in this short time, I have gained more than I wished for.
Just that… he won’t divulge only his true name.)
    Caster:
Your face seems to say, “it’s not enough.”
    I see.
    Pardon me for this.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Yes?
    Caster:
    You’re already a magus.
Therefore, such a simple answer must be lacking.
    Understood.
Well then let’s set 2 hours a day for your lecture.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Uh!
    No,
    I’ll have to refuse.
    I do think it’s a wonderful offer.
    However, you are…
    Caster:
    I am?
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    You are father’s servant.
I believe your prowess and time must be used for father and this Holy Grail War.
    Caster:
You are indeed an insightful child, Misaya.
    Hah―ーー
    It is as you say.
It’s a bad habit of mine.
In whatever setting, I always get carried away imparting my wisdom and give guidance with my teachings.
    I am… not my former self…
I have manifested as the Caster servant.
As such is the case, I must not be mistaken with my duties.
    For your father…
    And our great ambition,
    everything must be glossed over.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Ohh…
    Caster:
    Misaya,
    insightful child,
    lovely child,
thanks to you, I was able to take another look into my own existence.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
What I said was only natural.
    Caster:
    Fum―ーー
    Fufu―ーー Haah―ーー
Please let me give thanks to you in some way, Misaya.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    No, that is…
You already gave your important time for my curiousity.
I can’t take more than this.
    Caster:
My feelings won’t settle down in that case.
That’s why I shall give you this.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Azoth Sword?
(In modern times, plenty of mages earn this once.
As a proof of being a full-fledged magus, it is given from master to student.
It’s a mystic code for meant for amplifying the use of magecraft.
It’s a kind of mage staff.)
    Caster:
You seem to know of it.
    How about its origins?
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    I know.
    That is Von Hohenheim.
An alchemist magus who left his mark on surface history.
    Paracelsus…
    Caster:
    Huhm…
    Fufu
    Misaya Reiroukan:
(He’s putting his finger on his lip?
    A gesture saying “keep quiet”)
    Ah!
    (No way!
    No way!
    No way!
    This person is…
――ーin essence the creator of the Azoth Sword… its owner!)
    Caster:
    Keep it a secret.
Though of course, your father is already aware.
    Misaya Reiroukan:
    Yes.
    Yes.
    (True name!
    He informed me of it!
The defenses on this Reiroukan mansion―turned temple…
He must have absolute confidence on it.
However, even if that’s the case, to just say his true name…
    This person… really…)
    Sword of Paracelsus.

    Part 07: Gossip

    ??? ♀:
Hey hey, have you heard of that rumor?
    ??? ♀:
    I have! I have!
    It’s that, right?
    ―ーーabout Mary-san.
    ??? ♀:
    Yes, yeah.
    Mary-san.
    ??? ♀:
I heard the exact same thing in my cram school.
It’s even talked about in other schools.
    ??? ♀:
    It’s in Tokyo, right?
    ??? ♀:
    Yeah!
The rumors about Mary-san seems to only be in Tokyo.
    ??? ♀:
    Is that so?
    ??? ♀:
    It’s a real story y’know.
    It’s happening in Tokyo.
    ??? ♀:
But it wasn’t mentioned in television, right?
    ??? ♀:
    Urr… it’s only the television that doesn’t!
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uhh… hmm…
    (What’s this topic, I wonder.
    Rumors… Tokyo only… Mary… Mary-san?)
    Hmph… *munch*
    Haah…
    *munch*
    *chew*
    *chew*
(Koppe-pan with a sweet and bitter marmalade jam…
    I don’t hate it.
    I might even like it.)
    ??? ♀:
    Have you heard the name?
    ??? ♀:
    Name?
    ??? ♀:
    Mary-san’s name.
No… Mary-san is more like the rumor’s name.
    ??? ♀:
Never heard of it! What’s that?
    ??? ♀:
It seems that she’d always call out to someone on 11pm.
    ??? ♀:
    Uh―ーー
    ??? ♀:
And the other person is sure to die.
    ??? ♀:
    Huh…
    ??? ♀:
That’s why she’s called the Death Mary that comes at 11pm.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    *munch*
    (I wonder…
    Kyouko-chan and Nao-chan...
What are they talking about, I wonder.)
    Hmmm…
    ??? ♀:
Mary-san always calls out to adult men walking alone.
    ??? ♀:
    She’s flirting!
    ??? ♀:
That’s amazing! For a girl to do the picking up.
    ??? ♀:
    Right?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    (A girl?)
    ??? ♀:
    Mary-san is in Shinjuku, right?
    ??? ♀:
Uhh I think it was Shibuya.
    Or perhaps Ikebukuro.
When she comes out, it’s definitely at night.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    (Night?)
    ??? ♀:
I know that! I know that!
She comes out at night… then when morning comes…
    ??? ♀:
    Yeah!
    ??? ♀:
    Someone is sure to die!
    ??? ♀:
Die? The man she called out?
    ??? ♀:
    Who else?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    (Die?
    They’ll be killed?
    Gossiping…
As if they’ve seen it, but they haven’t.
    It’s a strange conversation.
It’s like talks about last year’s Human-faced dog.
What was it? ―there were many others…
A woman with a slit mouth,
    purple colored mirror,
white string coming out from the earlobe,
    red paper and blue paper,
    and also…
    kokkuri-san.
Using an ouija board… and it’s like mimicking spiritual evocation.
When I first saw it, I was surprised.
I thought everyone also belonged to a mage household.)
    *munch*
    *chew*
    *chew*
    (They weren’t though.
    I think I also learned of Kokkuri-san from Kyouko-chan and Nao-chan.
    These two are very talkative.
    These two are very timid.)
    ??? ♀:
    So everyone… died?
    ??? ♀:
    Yes!
None of those she met were saved!
    ??? ♀:
    No! That’s scary!
    ??? ♀:
It seems that even people who see the mirror have died…
―ーーor was it if you touched it?
    ??? ♀:
    Eh!? Is that true!?
    ??? ♀:
    It is.
    ??? ♀:
By mirror, you mean that mirror with “welcome” written with lipstick?
    ??? ♀:
If you see it, you’ll die.
So, it seems that plenty of policemen died.
    ??? ♀:
    That’s scary.
    ??? ♀:
I heard this from my cram school…
It seems that the father of the kid living in Ekoda also died!
    ??? ♀:
    Eeeh! Scary!
    Sajyou Ayaka:
(It’s completely not a school horror story.
    It’s an adult horror story.
A ghost story of everyone’s fathers working late at night… I guess?
It’s more realistic than the human-faced dog though.
But as I thought, it’s not scary.)
    *munch*
    fum…
(It is unsettling… but it’s just unsettling.
It doesn’t seem to be a rumor transcended into a mystic anyways.
Dad never mentioned a mystic about the human-faced dog anyways.
    Mary-san must be the same.
And my father is just fine.)
    *gulp* *gulp* *gulp*
    Haah――ー
(Father is at home, and he won’t go home late at night anyways.
Even if there really was a serial killer, he’ll be fine.
    I won’t be scared.
My father is a magus after all.
He’s a person who can utilize real mystics after all.
It would be different if it was a real phantasmal… but he won’t lose to a mere rumor.)
    Hmph!
    *munch*
    Ufu―ーー
    Narrator:
    Imagined beast.
An existence only told in olden legends.
We identify these, and designate them as “Phantasmals”
    Dissimilar to endangered organisms,
these beings of the very mystics given form are classified as “Demonic Beasts”, “Mythical Beasts”, or “Divine Beasts”.
If it were an existence in the level of demonic beast, then it can possibly be employed by mages.
There are also cases of a part of their corpses being used as mystic codes.
However, if it we an existence on the rank of mythical beast or higher, then either is impossible.
To begin with, they can’t even be seen in the modern age.
Servants are able to easily shatter this common sense.
They go beyond the mystics of magecraft.
They abide by the fantasies dreamt up by humans.
    In other words,
they are sometimes able to employ beings greater than mythical beasts.
Through the Holy Grail War, we are able to use legendary mysteries through our servants.
As such, by no means should you forget...
    ―ーーConceal it.
    ―ーーCover it up.
―ーーThe disclosure of mystics is a prohibition on mages.
    The Holy Grail War
    must occur in the dark.
    ーーーThat is all.
    ーーーExcerpt from an old note.

    Part 08: Helping Hand

    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Haah―ーー
    Cold!
    Right.
    Left.
    Confimation…
    No one’s here.
    “Semona!”
    It opened!
    Eeh―ーー
    Uhm…
    Once more.
    “Semona!”
    Hehe
I think I made it shorter than yesterday.
    Eh―ーー
    I’m home.
    Welcome home.
    Fueh―ーー
    Fuu―ーー
    Crow:
    *Caw* *Caw* *Caw* *Caw*
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uhph…
    Huh?
    Huuuhh―ーー?
    A nice smell…
    Could it be?!
This smell of wheat flour being cooked…
If so then if I go to the kitchen… I might meet her!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ara! Welcome home, Ayaka.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Onee-chan, what are you making?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu
    What do you think?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Is it cake?
    ―ーーbecause it smells nice.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ara, that’s close.
    But that’s only half correct.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    (Manaka onee-chan…
Her smiling figure is the most beautiful in the world.
She looks like that anime movie that dad showed us saying mom liked it.)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu!
    Sajyou Ayaka:
(The princess dancing while singing in a castle.
    A beautiful person.
It’s almost as if I was inside that movie!)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    What’s with those wide eyes?
Your mouth is open too, Ayaka.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah!
    Uheh―ーー
It’s because Onee-chan is so pretty like a princess.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Is that so?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Yeah!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufu―ーー
Do I look like a princess of Britain?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Britain?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu!
    Nhnhn!
If I really looked like that, then I’m glad.
    *hum*
    Sajyou Ayaka:
(Onee-chan is sparkling and pretty as she moves around the kitchen.
Her figure as she cooks look like she’s having fun.
    Sparkling and twirling.
    And briskly… efficiently… tactfully…
Today she’s not holding a kitchen knife though.
In its place are various measuring tools in her hand.)
    Hmm…
(What is she making, I wonder?
If cake is half correct, then what’s the other half?)
    Heeh!
Leave my backpack, wash my hands,
    Ah! I forgot the apron!
    Uhmm…
    Ueh―ーー
    Ah―ーー Onee-chan!
    Uhm…
    Sajyou Manaka:
Ayaka, have you washed your hands?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uh―ーー Un!
    Sajyou Manaka:
Will you lend me a hand?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Un…
    Sajyou Manaka:
Well then, would you please get that jar over there for me.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Eh?
    Uhh…
    Sajyou Manaka:
    The baking powder.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah! Un!
    Uehe―ーー
    Uh…
    Ehfu―ーー
    It’s here, Onee-chan.
    Sajyou Manaka:
Also, please get the eggs from the refrigerator.
    Please choose two large eggs.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah―ーー Uhn―ーー
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu, don’t break it, okay?
After that, please clean up the tabletop.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    (Could it be?
    No… it must be…
Being able to help Onee-chan cook… this is the first time.)
    Uh… uhm….
    Eggs… how many was it?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Two.
It’s fine. If it breaks, then it breaks.
We still have plenty anyways so don’t worry about it.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah… Uhn!
    Sajyou Manaka:
The other things too… we have plenty to spare.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uhn!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu!
    Your voice is trembling.
Ayaka, could it be that you’re bad at carrying eggs?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah!
    No…
    Eggs…
    Ueh―ーー
    Uhn…
    fum…
    hoh…
    Here! Eggs!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Thank you!
    You carried them properly, excellent!
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uh!
    Nhhnn…
    W―What else?
    Sajyou Manaka:
Speaking of eggs… that’s right, Ayaka, do you like fried eggs?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Eh?
    Ah―ーー Uhn!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Sunny-side-up or turn-over?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Sunny…
(Lie… not a lie… I actually prefer both sides fried, but if it’s made by dad or by Manaka onee-chan then I’d prefer sunny-side-up.
I never really thought not liking it… so it’s not a lie.
    I don’t hate it.
    I like both.
Or was it if I’m forced to choose which one I like?)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Next time, I’ll make you a turn-over.
In the UK, it seems they prefer turn-over.
I made one last time, but it wont firmly take shape, so I’ll have to practice.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uh― uhn!
    Sajyou Manaka:
Will you be my taste tester?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Yeah!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu It’ll be delicious!
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uwoh―ーー
    (Onee-chan is smiling…
She’s sparkling… more so than any flower in the Garden.)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu―ーー
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Hmm?
    (Eh?
    Onee-chan is a bit…
    I wonder…
    did something good happen, perhaps?)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Hmm?
    What is it?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Ah! Ehrm…
    Err…
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufu…
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uh…
    Onee-chan, did something good happen?
    Sajyou Manaka:
Ara! Did I seem like that?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Yeah.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Uhh―ーー it’s nothing special.
There was just this interesting animal that came to like me.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Animal?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Yeah! Animal.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Heh―ーー
    Ah! Uoh!
    Hah! Ah! The eggs!
    I dropped them!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    It’s fine!
As I said, we have plenty to spare.

Thanks a lot for the translation. The LN translation here seems somewhat delayed or stagnant, so I'll get a dose of Prototype via this!

    Part 01: Monarch

    Rider:
    Hooh.
Reiroukan, they’re called the greatest family in the far east. But did they actually think this is a flawless fortress?
    Damned mages. Tch.
    I am a servant——— Rider!
In place of my master who wouldn’t leave his base, I am here to forge an alliance with thee!
    Reiroukan, open thine gates!
    Hmph.
    ————————————————————————————————————
    Rider:
    Haahh———
    What a boring mansion.
I was expecting some form of interesting entertainment.
    Master Reiroukan:
    Hah hah.
After you named yourself standing in front of the main gate, I adjusted the bounded field that was repelling you.
If you wish so, I don’t mind returning it to normal, Rider-kun.
    Rider:
As if mere magecraft would be a worthy side-show for me.
    Maid:
    Have some tea, dear guest.
    Rider:
    Homunculus?
    Maid:
    …
Well then, I’ll take my leave.
    Rider:
    Beautiful.
    Not bad.
    Caster:
    I appreciate the praise———
    Rider:
    Not you.
    Caster:
    *chuckles*
    Rider:
Well then, on to the issue at hand.
My master, the Isemi family head——— Isemi Shizuri, entrusted me with this parchment of the contract about the alliance.
    Ascertain it.
    Master Reiroukan:
    Well then.
    Hmm...
    Indeed.
Shall I do the blood seal right here and now?
    Rider:
    Do as you will.
    Master Reiroukan:
    Later, then.
I shall run the details with Isemi Shizuri-dono via a familiar.
    Rider:
Just use a phone or fax.
    They’re incredible tools.
    Master Reiroukan:
    Mages are awkward beings.
    Rider:
    Hmph.
    Master Reiroukan:
However, to have his servant hand it over while materialized…
was he not concerned about leaking information about you to me?
    Rider:
    Hmm?
    Master Reiroukan:
Even though masters have eyes to appraise servants.
    Rider:
    That’s not a problem.
    Hmph.
    hah
    It’s far from a side-show, but I don’t mind.
Activated this bounded field or whatever anytime as thy wish
If thou wisheth for my head, then thou may try.
Those who point their blades at me shall immediately realize the sinfulness of trying to reach out to the sun.
    Master Reiroukan:
    …
    Caster:
It seems that you have confidence on your own prowess.
    Rider:
    Of course.
    How goes thee, mage?
    Caster:
I still have a long way to go.
    Rider:
    I see.
Thou judge thyself to be inexperienced.
    Ahahahahaha!
    Indeed,
this place is brimming with mediocrity.
Though there is one that meets my eye——— literally.
The ploys of the mediocre are of no significance to me, but I see…
    I shall allow it!
    Thou little things,
Perpending thine pride and dignity that thou must be in thine territory, I shall keep an open mind.
As respect to that queenly trait, I shall watch over this alliance.
    Rejoice.
    Master Reiroukan:
    …
    Caster:
    What a fearsome person.
What would you have done if you didn’t feel like continuing this till the end?
    Rider:
    Heheh
    It goes without saying.
I would have erased this entire mansion along with its impudent magecraft within a blink of an eye.
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Reiroukan Misaya:
    Ah!
    *audible fear*
    *gasping*
Through the window… through the familiar… he met my eyes.
    It’s just that but…
    *grunting*
(those golden eyes… It’s not magecraft, it’s not a curse either!
    And yet It’s this…)

    *grunting*
(Just what was I mistaking? Having Caster tell me his true name made me conceited.
I’m just an immature human that can’t even hold a candle with my father…
to implore answers from that monster…
    how arrogant of me.)

    *gasping*
(However… however, even so… until now… I continue to receive that gaze… never looking away.)
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Narrator:
    Heroic spirits are not humans.
They look human, as such one must not be misled.
To begin with, heroic spirits aren’t meant to be faced by humans.
They are advent of myth & legends, and can even defy physical laws. They are fantasies that carry abundant prowess.
Even Assassin, who relatively has the weakest direct combat capabilities, isn’t a being that humans can hope to match.
Be it a magus who puts focus on combat mastery, or an army platoon with an abundance of modern weaponry,
should they face against a heroic spirit, they would only meet death.
    Hence, don’t forget:
    Humans cannot defeat Servants.
No matter how excellent of a magus they are, there are no exceptions.
    That’s all.
    ———Excerpt from an old note.

    Part 2: Hamburger Chain

    Cashier:
    Welcome!
May I have your order, sir?
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yo! Welcome back, Berserker.
    Henry Jekyll:
    I’m back.
It seems that the Reiroukan family is putting pressure on the police.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    The police?
    Henry Jekyll:
They’re concealing any information related to the Holy Grail War.
    Even if it costs lives.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Are you sure about that?
    Henry Jekyll:
I got it from a man called a detective.
An elixir I compounded can force the truth out of people.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
It doesn’t have any side-effect, does it?
    Henry Jekyll:
    No need to worry.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    That’s good.
    Henry Jekyll:
There were also rumors about the Holy Church among the unconfirmed information I gathered in Ikebukuro police station.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
By church, you mean the church wherein you go to pray and confess sins?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Close.
    But that’s not it.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I see.
I ended up not going to school the whole day, but I heard from my classmate that there’s this ghost story that’s trending in internet forums.
    Henry Jekyll:
    Mary-san?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    No, there’s no name.
Not here in Ikebukuro, but in Akihabara.
At midnight on the rooftop of the Akihabara buildings, they say there’s a ghost that glows blue.
    Henry Jekyll:
Could it be a light from magical energy?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    You think so too?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Yeah.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Should we check it out?
    Tonight.

    Part 3: Chance Encounter I

    Elza:
    …
    Archer:
    How’s your situation?
It seems Assassin’s deeds were not published in the newspaper.
    Elza Saijou:
    Yeah.
    Elza Saijou:
(The rampaging servant continued eating souls and caused damage on civilians.
However, as of now, the Church's damage control is working.
Tokyo's second owner must also have participated in this matter.
A far-eastern prestigious magus family ——— Reiroukan family.
With such a powerful and large bounded field, there's no doubt that it's protecting a master participating in the Holy Grail War.
    Will they just ignore this?
    ———in their very own domain?
No matter how many people are killed?
Even the Isemi family on Okutama...)

    That's... the Holy Gail War?
    Archer:
    You're thoughts are spilling out.
    Elza Saijou:
    Ah...
    I'm sorry Archer.
Ignore what I said just now.
    Archer:
    Heheh———
    Want coffee?
    Elza Saijou:
    Thank you, I'll have some.
    Archer:
    Sure.
    Here you go.
    Elza Saijou:
    Hah.
(People die... depending on the situation, even children.)
    Hah———
    Archer:
    What a dejected face.
    Elza Saijou:
    Is that so?
    Archer:
    Tonight's… uhh… let's stop here.
Overworking is not good. You can take a rest.
    I won't mind.
    Elza Saijou:
    Thank you, Archer.
But no, I will win the Grail.
Defeat all the six pairs and grab the Holy Grail.
If necessary, even I——— would surely do something horrible.
    Let's go——— to Akihabara.
    Archer:
    That's close.
    Elza Saijou:
I found something through a forum in the internet.
They say a blue colored ghost appeared on top of the buildings.
It was spotted three to four days ago.
    Archer:
    Wasn't that me?
    Elza Saijou:
The first one——— yeah——— it must have been you and Lancer.
    Archer:
    Hmmm...
    Elza Saijou:
There was another witness last night.
    One blue colored ghost.
    Archer:
Fuhaha——— does that woman wander around every night?
    Heh——— I understand.
If that's the case, then let's go for a walk.
    Hah——— but y'know Elza...
———within the city I probably won’t go all out.
I'll have to put on some restraints.
    Elza Saijou:
    Restraint is fine.
But once you see an opening, please end it.
    I'll back you up too.
    Archer:
    Yeah.
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Kitano Tatsumi:
This is the metropolis main street, right?
It’s as dark as a residential area.
    How’s your situation?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Nothing out of the ordinary.
About the lack of light… well… I does seem like the town of Akihabara is too dark for an urban center at seven pm.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Urban center, huh?
You’re getting used to it, huh, Berserker?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Ah… Thanks to you.
Listen, you mustn’t make it apparent that you noticed abnormalities.
———Just pass through acting like you haven’t noticed.
If you mess up, a master might kill you under the pretext of concealment of mysteries.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
So the Holy Grail War is filled with bloodshed…
    Henry Jekyll:
Mages have their own special values.
They will protect magecraft and various mysteries from people who aren’t mages.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    ———Even by killing?
    Henry Jekyll:
    Yeah.
Social morals, ethics and such——— mages don’t think highly of those. They only value their research of mysteries far from public eye.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I see.
    Henry Jekyll:
Because it will weaken the properties of mysteries.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Uhn.
    Henry Jekyll:
Anyhow, just make them believe you didn’t notice anything. Well there is in a million chance that they'll be hesitant to dispose of you.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    That’s quite a low possibility.
    Henry Jekyll:
    You decided on this plan.
    Did your resolve waver?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    No.
    Henry Jekyll:
Then act like you don’t notice no matter what. This is what Japanese samurai refer to as “with eyes half-closed”.
Ascertain your surroundings without making it obvious that you’re wary.
You got it? Just call me whenever you notice abnormalities——— with a command seal, okay?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah.
(Command Seal: Claims to absolute obedience.
A powerful magical energy given by the Holy Grail.
It’s a one wing mark on my left shoulder. Three strokes all-in-all.
    In other words, three uses.
    I shouldn’t waver in emergency.
Still, hit or miss, they’re basically disposable.)

    …?
    ??? ♀:
    Hmm…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (A sedan?
    Parking on the streets? ———no…
    They’re just stopped there idle.
Whilst stopping on the street, they opened their side window and looking up at the sky.
    A young woman…)

    Found you!
(I did it! I was faster!
Mystic eyes… magical energy to my right eye!)

    *grunting*
    (Magical energy consumption!)
    *grunting
(This is intense… as if my whole body is breaking apart!
But compared to using a noble phantasm, this isn’t so bad!)

    *gasping*
    ??? ♀:
    Gah!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (I got her!
    I felt a hit!
It’s the feeling of breaking through the target’s natural defenses!
It’s the same as last night.
    Just as Berserker taught me!
If I could use my mystic eyes properly, I can put a stop on my target’s movements!)

    *gasping*
    (I got her arm! Alright!
    She’s thin…
    It’s a slender arm.)
    ??? ♀:
    Y… you…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    (What to do, Tatsumi?
    Kitano Tatsumi!
    You will…)

    *heavy breathing*
    (What do I do!?
To this Holy Grail War, to this magus——— this master that might turn Tokyo upside-down… what do I do!?
My mystic eyes could only momentarily stop the movements of organisms.
    It’s not a decisive attack.
    I’m not carrying any weapon.
Berserker repeatedly told me to carry one, but I ended up not carrying any.
    What should I do?)
    *deep breath*
(This is like going out into war without bringing any weapons.
    How dumb of me!
    To begin with,
    killing someone is beyond me.)

    *deep breath*
(That’s why I have no choice but to do this.
Perhaps I came here in order to do this!)

    Please listen!
    ??? ♀:
    *grunting*
    Kitano Tatsumi:
I want to stop the Holy Grail War.

    Part 04: Intoxication and Allegiance

    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    …
    (No pursuers.
    Naturally.
Clumsiness isn’t allowed when I’m off to meet that person, my lord.)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufu———
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    My lord.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ehe———
You don’t have to be so scared.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    …
    Sajyou Manaka:
    How was it?
I believe you were saying something bold.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    I did…
    Sajyou Manaka:
What have you to say for yourself?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    No… yes.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Tell me.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
It’s all my ineptitude, my incompetence.
    I have no excuse.
I’m willing to offer my head for my failure.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Hmm…
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Manaka-sama.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu———
It’s fine. I knew it from the start.
Caster’s defenses are powerful after all.
To go as far as reach the master…
    is difficult for you, right?
You’re cute, but attacking head-on is difficult for you, right?
Setting that aside, how about we talk about Saber?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Yes.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu———
    Thank you!
    Today, I made scones.
I believe I properly cooked them this time, but he didn’t give his impressions about the taste despite eating so much.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    …
    Sajyou Manaka:
“It’s delicious.” “I like it.” That’s all he says.
That makes me happy. It does… but nothing changed, and I don’t think that’s good.
Though of course, I’ll be glad no matter what he says.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Yes.
    Sajyou Manaka:
Him and I will always be together from now on, right?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Yes.
    Sajyou Manaka:
That’s why I think change will be the spice to not lose interest.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    (Manaka-sama thinks of him.
    I think of Manaka-sama.
As Manaka opens her lips, I close mine.
I believe there’s not much difference between us… or so I’d like to think)
    Sajyou Manaka:
By the way, do you have enough magical energy?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Here.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ah! In your mouth.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
I used up all I received the other day.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    You seem fine.
    Ufufu———
Good girl, you properly hunt your prey on your own.
    There, there.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    *gasp*
    (She touched me…
    Without dying… without falling…
    Not even traces of anguish…
You’re probably the only one in the world.
    My fated person.)
(Archer: Are you truly fine with that?)
    (Nothing… nothing… nothing happened.
No one has grabbed my arm.
    Nothing.
    I don’t have such memory.
My fated who can touch me without dying…
there can’t be two of them.)

If fate truly exists in this world, then to meet you in this transient form, long after my own passing; must be its working.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Hmm?
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    My lord… my everything.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    That’s great.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Ah!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufu———
    Ufufufu———
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    …
(When she pats me like this…)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    You’re a good girl.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(Boiling… my body is getting hot!)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    You’re excellent and pretty.
    And you’re very cute.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
(Since that night I met her in Ikebukuro… always…)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    I have expectations for you.
So, work hard just a bit more, Assassin.
    Hassan-i-Sabbah:
    Yes.
(This is the radiance that made me pledge my allegiance.)

    Part 05: Sword Dance

    Saber:
    Three of them, huh?
    Come!
    ugh!
    A bombardment!?
    Kuh!
    Ugh!
    Hah!
    Kuh!
    Hoooaaaahh!
    ———One...
    hooh———Ah!
    ———Two...
    Keh!
    Haaaaa!
    Eeeyaaaah!
    ———Three!
    Fuh!
    For mere automata…
    Mr. Sajyou:
    It's just a boorish golem.
    Saber:
    uh?
    Mr. Sajyou:
It still has a long way to go to look human-like.
With that said, it is unlike the likes of golems made using Kaballah.
It's not magecraft for academic pursuit; simply magecraft as a tool.
It should at least serve some purpose for a servant's battle training.
    Saber:
    M'lord, thank you for———
    Mr. Sajyou:
    I don't mind.
    Saber:
    ———accompanying me.
    Mr. Sajyou:
    No.
    Hah———
Damn Manaka... to think it would actually leave you here while it goes out on its own.
    Saber:
    Yes. Servants are dangerous beings———
———no matter how great of a magus she is.
    Mr. Sajyou:
    Exactly.
At this rate, it would lose its life.
    Saber———
    Saber:
    Yes?
    Mr. Sajyou:
    ———It... no... continue standing by.
For now we can leave this to it.
    Saber:
    Yes, m'lord.

    Part 06: Chance Encounter II

    Caster:
    What a beautiful garden.
It shines well under the moonlight.
I’d rather not have it stained blood red.
(According to the Church, all seven servants have manifested in Tokyo.
The Holy Grail War has started.
On top of confirming the skirmish between Saber and Lancer,
Berserker also attempted to invade this mansion.)

All the other masters have probably figured out that this is my master’s base.
(But the war situation doesn’t seem bad.
An alliance with Rider and his master, this is indeed a spectacular move.
Until the end of the Holy Grail War,
    my master will remain victorious.)

Though, I can never come to like conflict.
    Elemental.
    (Reinforcement is complete.
The barrier around the grounds is in perfect condition.
The four magical energy stations are also functioning well.)

    Moon, stars, sky…
(The starry sky seems unclear compared to my memories.
    Even so, it’s beautiful.
The fifth element: Ether, the True Ether that was ubiquitous in the mythical age, and the ever-glowing light of the stars.
What I seek has never changed even now.)

    Hah———
    How lamentable.
Even though my era has long since ended…
Misaya… ye mages who live in this modern age,
ye must have received my teachings.
The many children of the future are indeed in this world.
    *chuckles*
    However, I didn’t expect a kingly trait.
In front of Rider’s vehement bloodlust, even if it was through a familiar, to withstand that gaze and continue to meet it…
It’s not farfetched to say that her existence is what led to this current war situation.
I always thought that kings are troublesome no matter the era,
but it seems that I may have to slightly reevaluate my opinion.
I guess kings resembling kingmakers also exist in this world.
    Fu———fu———
Mages can detect aptitude for magecraft.
Perhaps the same can be said for kings.
Though there’s the exception in the personage called Merlin.
    Hmm?
    Berserker:
    Uuuuuwwooooohhh!
    Caster:
He came again tonight? ———that Berserker.
Does he not tire of it?
(Defeating him would be easy if I were to release the true name of my Noble Phantasm.
    However, it’s still too early.)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufu
    Caster:
    What!?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Greetings, magus-san.
    Are you perhaps Caster?
    Caster:
    Good evening, little lady.
    (Impossible!
She entered my workshop and I didn’t notice her.
Multiple bounded fields and curses, in addition to master’s horde of artificial demonic beasts in every direction, and even my elementals which could be called extensions of me are deployed…
The mechanism for eliminating intruders should be working properly, and I should notice immediately when they activate.
I weakened the bounded field to allow only one route of entry.
Let alone intrusion from the backyard, to be in the front yard near the main base…
    This isn’t presence concealment!
    Then, teleportation?
    ———No.
A feat on the domain of True Magic should not be possible for any modern mage!
However, it’s a fact that this girl is here!)

    Hmm———!
(It’s easy to dismiss her as a mysterious person…
But this girl, what is she?)
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Hmm———
    Let’s see…
    Come!
    Caster:
    (Shadow? ———a familiar, huh?)
    Hmph.
    Aqua! Ignis! Ventus!
Shoot flames, cover with water, tear with wind!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Oh?
    All three of them disappeared.
    Caster:
    Hmm———!
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Ufufufu
You use quite a strange magecraft.
    It’s very interesting!
But you know, I already have a pet.
So, as a special case, I’ll let you be my friend!

Part 07: Father and Daughter I

    Narrator:
    Holy Grail War
    ———sixth day.
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    *groaning*
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    *sigh*
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    *groaning*
    Father?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    Ayaka.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Father.
    Sajyou Hiroki:
I told you a little bit about the Holy Grail War, didn’t I?
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Hmm?
    It’s not morning yet.
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    The Holy Grail that guides mages to their ambition;
It is the great object that, not just the Sajyou house, but every magi past and present wishes, yearns for, and continue to reach out to.
To attain it, a ritual must be completed.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Uhm…
    important ritual?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    Yeah.
Manaka and I are participating in it.
    To be precise, I’m assisting.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    …
    Should I… also do something?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    No.
You’re not involved in the ritual, but don’t go to school for a while.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Eh?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
You must never leave our house.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Why?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    Yeah…
The war situation became chaotic faster than expected.
Assassin is still hiding in the city.
One master is still not registered to the church.
    *sigh*
And we’ve already detected Reiroukan’s participation in this war.
I will also have to make an appearance.
The Holy Grail War is no small ritual.
We must get the Greater Grail, as well as the Lesser Grail.
I will probably be leaving you here alone more.
    Sajyou Ayala:
    Hmmm?
    Sajyou Hiroki:
I left a memo about your meals on the dining table.
And I will contact your school.
Continue your basic trainings every morning.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Mmhhmm…
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    Ayaka.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Yes?
    Hmm———
    Sajyou Hiroki:
    Well then, see you.
    Sajyou Ayaka:
    Hehe.
    Father’s hand…
    So warm!

    Part 08: Women’s Advice

    Lancer:
    …?
    Do you need something?
    You with a blonde hair,
Uhh… you don’t seem to be Japanese.
    Berserker:
    Yes.
    Pardon me for tailing you.
Your beautiful hair just caught my attention.
    Lancer:
    …
    Berserker:
    Your eyes are also beautiful.
    Lancer:
    Thank you very much.
    Your compliment makes me happy.
    However…
    Berserker:
    ...
    (Her weapon, in an instant!?
    Spear… Lancer, huh?)
    Lancer:
    I hate lies.
    You don’t give off a servant’s signal,
    so you’re a magus, aren’t you?
    But that’s strange.
You got too close to me and you have very little magical energy,
do you have a death wish?
    Berserker:
    No.
I’m just something like a bait.
    Pardon me, Lancer.
    I tricked you.
But I wasn’t lying when I said you were beautiful.
    Lancer:
    …?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    *deep breath*
    Lancer:
    Who?
    A boy?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I am Kitano Tatsumi.
A second year of Setagaya High School.
    Lancer:
    …?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Please don’t kill him.
    We didn’t come to fight.
I… want to talk… with you.
    Lancer:
    Now?
    What…?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I am a master.
    This is Berserker.
    Lancer:
    Huh?
    What are you saying?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
As you can see, I’m not carrying anything.
I have no weapons, and I’m not even a magus.
    Things happened… and I became a master.
But I don’t plan on fighting you,
and I don’t plan on doing this Holy Grail War.
    Lancer:
    …
That man doesn’t give off a servant’s signal, and I don’t feel magical energy either.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
He’s just that kind of Heroic Spirit.
    Right?
    Berserker:
    Yeah.
    Lancer:
You’re kidding——— doesn’t seem like it.
    Tatsumi, was it?
    You’re trembling badly.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Well, yeah…
    *heavy breathing*
    Of course, I’ll get nervous.
    But this is great,
because I didn’t think of what to do if you were to attack us——— no questions asked.
    Lancer:
    How reckless.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Hehe
I also got told off plenty last night by my partner.
    Lancer:
    *chuckles*
    You’re a strange kid.
You said you needed to talk to me?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah.
I want to stop this Holy Grail War.
    Lancer:
    Why?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
I don’t want Tokyo to turn into a battlefield.
    Lancer:
    Why?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I have friends in Tokyo.
    My crush is also here…
    ———in my class…
By class, I mean… err, never mind.
    …
In any case, that’s how it is.
If possible, I would also like to speak with your master.
I don’t really understand anything about mages,
but is there really no other way aside from killing each other?
At the very least, I don’t think you’re all properly thinking through this.
    Lancer:
    I see.
    You’re also very righteous.
    Loveably so.
    So straightforward.
    So sincere.
    Unknowing of this world’s sufferings.
    Foolishly so.
    I shall exalt that righteousness.
However, no, my master will not exchange words with you.
    You’ll die, Tatsumi.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Wa———
    Berserker:
    Tatsumi, step back.
    Lancer:
    Now is not the time.
But you’re better off not doing this again.
I’m sure you’ll be killed the next time.
That would be troubling for me too.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Wait!
    She disappeared!?
    Berserker:
    She switched to astral form.
She must have seen she was outnumbered.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Eh?
    Elza Saijou:
    That’s right.
Aside from a mysterious person who may-or-may-not be a servant, she’ll also have to fight Archer.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    You!
    Berserker:
    Elza Saijou.
    Elza Saijou:
    *sigh*
    You’re overdoing it.
Kitano Tatsumi, did you forget everything I said last night?
    ——————————————————————————————————————
    Elza Saijou:
    Coincidence?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
Truth is, I was searching for Mary-san.
The rumor about her killing every night near Ikebukuro station.
    Elza Saijou:
    Ah! Assassin, right?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Eh?
    Berserker:
    She’s Assassin?
    Elza Saijou:
    That’s right. Assassin.
    She feeds on souls every night to recover magical energy;
———a rampaging servant that stays materialized without disappearing.
    MHMMMHH!!!
    This parfait is delicious!
Ehe! Family restaurants are quite good!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    “feeds on souls”… err…
    Berserker:
It means stealing magical energy from others.
    Elza Saijou:
    Mhhm!
    Berserker:
It doesn’t necessarily kill them, but in Assassin’s case…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    ———She kills them…?
    Berserker:
    Yeah.
    Elza Saijou:
Forgetting concealment, she just leaves bodies one after another.
Could it be that you two didn’t know?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yeah…
    Berserker:
    Unfortunately.
    Elza Saijou:
    I give up…
No, last night was also quite appalling, but I’m also quite appalled today.
Shouldn’t you have received a notice from the Holy Church?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Err…
    I didn’t register as a master… to the church.
    Elza Saijou:
    Eh?
    Eh… Really!?
    Berserker:
    Due to special circumstances.
    Elza Saijou:
I won’t say anything else; please, at least just register.
You know where it is, right?
    Berserker:
    In Ochanomizu.
    Elza Saijou:
    Yes.
    The building stands out,
and they function as a normal church on the surface,
so, you can just enter as a regular tourist or a believer.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    O… okay…
    Elza Saijou:
    Geez!
    mhm
And you dare to say, “I want to stop the Holy Grail War!”
Though that’s probably exactly why you could say that.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Hmm?
    Elza Saijou:
    Aha… just talking to myself.
So, you two loiter around Ikebukuro every day?
    Berserker:
    Ah… that’s…
    Kitano Tatsumi:
No, we usually go to Suginami where you can find the Manor of the magi called Reiroukan.
We went there again last night, but we couldn’t break through.
    Then Mary-san… err…
I would also like to do something about Assassin.
But we haven’t seen here even once yet…
    Berserker:
    *sigh*
    Tatsumi!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Hmm?
    Elza Saijou:
    *sigh*
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Err…?
    Elza-san?
    Elza Saijou:
    Listen here, Tatsumi.
    You’re a master, and I’m also a master.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yes.
    Elza Saijou:
Even if you were serious with what you said last night about stopping the Holy Grail War, right now, we’re enemies.
    Isn’t that right?
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    …
    Berserker:
Simpleminded… or rather, you’re too sincere, Tatsumi.
    Elza Saijou:
    Hehe.
But I don’t hate that part of you.
    I like it.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Ah… hehehehe…
    Elza Saijou:
    But…
    that’s not good, Tatsumi.
    Be careful, seriously.
I also have my own circumstances.
So, I won’t kill for now.
But, given the right conditions, I’m sure to kill you.
    Berserker:
    …
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Berserker,
don’t make such a scary face.
    I trust Elza-san.
    So, trust her too.
    Berserker:
    You’re really…
    Elza Saijou:
    Naοve——— naοve.
Your naοvetι is more than the sweetness of this parfait.
I’m done eating this parfait, so I’ll be going now.
    Do your best for tonight.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    Yes.
    You too, Elza-san. Take care.
    Elza Saijou:
    Heh———
    Thank you.
I’ll be glad if you’d avoid dying, Tatsumi.
    Berserker:
Archer never showed himself till the end.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    He’s in astral form, right?
    Berserker:
    Probably.
    Tatsumi,
    your methods are very reckless.
It just so happens that Elza Saijou and Lancer were willing to listen.
    Kitano Tatsumi:
I guess I have good luck.
    Berserker:
    Tatsumi!
    Kitano Tatsumi:
    I get it!
I pretty much understand that my method wasn’t good.
But y’know, this is probably the only method I can use.

Part 09: In The Skies of Tokyo

    Archer:
    *sigh*
I really can’t get used to this astral form.
    It makes me feel floaty.
The feeling’s so peculiar, it’s hard to describe.
    Elza Saijou:
    Archer.
    Archer:
    Yeah!
Are we going back to Ochanomizu on foot?
    Elza Saijou:
    Yeah.
    Oh——— I mean no.
    Let’s get a taxi.
I stored some equipment in Shibaura-futou station,
    so we’re going there first.
    Let’s abandon the sedan.
Let’s look for a different transport in Shibaura.
    Archer:
    Okay.
    Elza Saijou:
    …
    Archer:
    Elza.
    Elza Saijou:
    …
    *sigh*
    Archer:
    Elza?
    Elza Saijou:
    Huh?
    W-what is it, Archer?
    Archer:
    Heh——— heh———
    What do you think?
    Elza Saijou:
    Y-you’re too close, Archer.
    Archer:
    I’m looking at your eyes.
    Also, y’know…
    not letting the prey escape.
    Elza Saijou:
    You’re a bow user.
    Archer:
    Well yeah.
    Elza Saijou:
    Sorry.
    Archer:
    *chuckle*
Of course, you’ll have things on your mind.
    You’re human.
    Don’t overdo it.
    Elza Saijou:
    Archer:
    Sei!
    Elza Saijou:
    Ah!
    Archer:
    Don’t bite your tongue.
    Soooryaa!
    Elza Saijou:
    Aahh!
Archer! There’s a building in front of you!
    Archer:
    Toh!
    Yah!
    Hahahahahahaha!
    Heh!
    Hah!
    Huf!
    Elza Saijou:
    Running on the building’s wall!?
    Archer:
    Hold on tight!
    Heh!
    Elza Saijou:
    Versteckt!
    Archer:
    Concealment spell, huh?
    Mages have it tough.
    Let’s fly!
    Hah!
    Elza Saijou:
    Haaaaahhh!!!!
    Archer:
This isn’t your first time in the sky, right?
    Elza Saijou:
This is my first time to be carried while flying!
    Archer:
    Hahahaha!
    Elza Saijou:
    Geez! What’s with you!?
    Archer:
    Heh!
    Here we go~!
    Elza Saijou:
    Uwah!?
    Archer:
    Sorya!
    Elza Saijou:
    Again!?
    Archer:
How’s this scenery of Tokyo for a change of pace? I like it.
    The capital city.
    Elza Saijou:
    Geez!
    Archer:
    That boy had nice eyes.
    Elza Saijou:
    Yeah.
    Archer:
We don’t want him to die, right?
    Elza Saijou:
    Yeah.
    Archer:
    Haha!
    You didn’t even hesitate.
You’re truly a good woman, Elza.
    Elza Saijou:
    Heh———
    That’s dumb.
    Archer:
Isn’t this the highest building in this area?
    Elza Saijou:
    Can I get down?
    Archer:
    Sure.
    Here ya go.
    Elza Saijou:
    Heh.
    What a nice view.
    Archer:
    Yeah.
    Elza Saijou:
    Archer.
    I… I…
(Don’t hesitate to say it, Elza.
    Put it into words.
He has probably already seen through all of me,
but he’s waiting for me to say it.)

    You know, I…
I want to change the world.
If hell in this world is being veiled... by only a thin sheet of tranquility.
This world wherein the difference in birthplace, such as in conflicted areas or developed countries, where a mere distance dictates the difference between life and death.
This world wherein it's impossible to save every parent and child
This word wherein ruthless violence kills those you love...
I want to change such a thing.
    I wished for that…
and it led me to this Holy Grail War.
    Archer:
    I see.
    Elza Saijou:
    Archer.
    Archer:
    Your face.
    Elza Saijou:
    Huh?
    Archer:
    That’s a good wish.
    Well said.
    But y’know,
    don’t look down.
    Look up, stand proud!
Your wish will definitely reach the skies of Asha Vahishta!
    Elza Saijou:
    …
    …
I want to change the world!
Even if it’s absurd, and I’m sure it’s no different with Tatsumi’s——— It’s dumb!
    However,
    Archer:
    However,
You’ll still do it, right, Elza?
    Elza Saijou:
    Yes.
    Along with you!
    Archer:
    Alright!
    Well said!
    Elza Saijou:
    *deep breath*
I’m sorry for making you wait.
    Archer:
    Waiting was worth it.
So, what do we do next?
    Hunt down Assassin?
    ———or Reiroukan?
Either way, we’ll be working with the boy.
    Elza Saijou:
    Yeah.
I’ll take the third choice here.
    Archer:
    Oh?
    Elza Saijou:
    Isemi family.
    They’re far-east mages with a long history.
The rumors about them aren’t too good.
According to intel, they haven’t had outside contact this entire week.
Just like the Reiroukan family in Suginami.
    Archer:
    A siege, huh?
    Elza Saijou:
    We’ll strike.
    Archer:
    I like that!
But how’d you get that information?
    Elza Saijou:
    Well about that…
Just a few illegal forums, the bulletin of JR station, telephone club, and well a few things in the shadows.
The modern age has many ways to gather information.
    Archer:
I don’t quite get it, but that’s impressive.
    Elza Saijou:
    Fufu———
Want me to teach you next time?
    Archer:
    Yeah.
    Hahah! Please do.

    Part 10: Chance Encounter III

    Caster:
    Was that fine, Master?
    Master Reiroukan:
    Hmm?
    *chuckles*
    You finally spoke up, Caster.
As I thought, you have concerns about yesterday’s alliance.
Yes, Isemi family’s Rider is powerful.
He hasn’t revealed his true name, but those specs…
Facing him head-on would be a bad move.
    Caster:
    Indeed.
However, to use a Self Geass Scroll…
    Master Reiroukan:
    ———is a huge risk.
    Caster:
    If you say so.
Well then, I’ll be in the basement.
I’ll go check the magic formulae of the bounded field.
    Master Reiroukan:
    Yeah.
    Caster.
    Caster:
    Yes?
    Master Reiroukan:
Last night, there was a seam in the bounded field.
    Caster?
    Caster:
Due to berserker’s besiegement, there’s a need for some fine tuning.
Pardon me for reporting this late.
    Master Reiroukan:
    I see.
No, there’s no need to do that.
Even with the seam, there’s still no way any organism could enter.
    Your bounded field is perfect.
    Caster:
    Thank you very much.
    I’ll be off.
    Master Reiroukan:
Well then, how old-fashioned to send a letter.
How very mage-like are, Sajyou family.
    …?
    No reaction of magical energy?
    No curse either.
But it does seem like it’s from a master, Hiroki.
If this is a proposal for an alliance, you’re sadly a tad bit too late.
    I will win.
    Magecraft!?
    (Impossible!
    I didn’t detect…)
    Sajyou Manaka:
Good day… or should I say nice to meet you, Uncle Reiroukan.
    Master Reiroukan:
    A video!?
    A voice recording… with a projection.
    Sajyou Manaka:
    I am Sajyou Manaka.
Today, I have a warning, or rather something I want to say.
    Master Reiroukan:
    …?
    Sajyou Manaka:
Rather than aiming for the master, I think it’s more efficient to aim for their weakness.
What do you think, dear uncle?
    Don’t you think so too?
    Like, perhaps, Misaya-chan.
    Such a cute girl.
It would be painful for uncle to lose her, right?
    Master Reiroukan:
    !!!
    Don’t you dare!
    Sajyou Manaka:
Also, I’ll be taking the Greater Grail.
So, dear uncle, please take proper care of the Lesser Grail there, okay?
    Master Reiroukan:
She found the location of the Greater Grail?!
No… wait, did she say, “Lesser Grail”!?
Just how much does this girl know?
    Sajyou Manaka:
    Well then, goodbye.
    Have a good evening.
    Master Reiroukan:
    …!
    *seething*
    Sajyou———
    Manaka!!!

    Part 11: Mischief/Wriggling

    Sajyou Manaka:
    I didn’t find it.
    I just know it.
    The Greater Grail
    ———Saint Graph.
It’s always been under Tokyo for a long time.
    In this place.
I wonder since when you’ve been asleep.
    Greater Grail———
    No…
    ???:
    *Roar*
    Sajyou Manaka:
    *chuckles*
    You’re very big.
    ???:
    *Roar*
    Sajyou Manaka:
    I found you!

    Part 12: Tick-Tock II

    Narrator:
    Greater Grail.
    Lesser Grail.

Gather both Grails hidden in Tokyo.
    Fighting is not enough.
    Killing is not enough.
For your wish for the Holy Chalice.
For the sake of yours——— and not anyone else’s——— wish.
    Grab hold of the Holy Object;
    steal, injure, and get used to the evil of slaughter;
along with your glorious hero——— the guardian of the scales.

Is there any hope of you continuing this? The youtube translation hasn't picked up the pace much and the drama cds are probably the best way to consume sky silver, but sadly it's not a very popular fate entry. I sincerely hope you plan to continue this.

If you're hesitant because of translations being sprawled everywhere, Fumei has an up-to-date directory right here!

    https://www.reddit.com/user/savepoin...of_sky_silver/

The Drama CDs are great, but the LN really is the best experience to consume it. I am planning on typesetting all the translations into proper PDFs like Volume 1 is by a previous group, but quickly realized after typesetting through half of Labyrinth as a test that it's a lot of work particularly for grammar checking and editing - which requires checking back with the raw JP text. Unfortunately my JP knowledge is minimal so I'll have to tackle it again when I have an absurd amount of time with no other big projects.

From what I've seen the drama cds tell the story in chronological order, right? While the LN jumps all over the place because of the author's unique writing style. I've heard more complaints about her writing style than praise, and consuming the story chronologically is the easier call since it's way simpler. Is there a reason not to depend on the drama CDs?

It may be chronological sure, but a lot of key stuff is missing. You won't be getting the wholistic experience from just consuming the drama CDs. It's kind of like, hmm...the Kara no Kyoukai films. It's all out of order and confusing at first, but as you go deeper in, it all starts clicking and making sense, and consuming it chronologically would be super weird and spoils half the twists. Same idea with Fragments LN. It's confusing at first, but as you get more context, things start clicking into place. And if you ever get confused where a scene goes or what it's about, hey, that's why we're here.

Are you sure? I've seen a lot of people bash Fragments because of the way it's written rather than the actual plot. I kind of want as good of a first impression as possible.

That's really just personal preference. Most people don't like Sakurai's poetic prose, I'm just weird and completely love it. Different strokes for different folks.

The way the Drama CDs are written is verbatim with how Sakurai writes though, since ,well, she wrote them lol. If you like how its written there, then you'll be fine for the LN.

Stumbled onto this fella while searching for the drama cds on YouTube to set the text into. They have reached this part so far

    Fu!
    Assassin:
    Hah!
    Elza:
    Eyes?
    Archer:
    Fuu———
This Holy Grail War is more troublesome than I thought.

and they aren't far off from warping this up in a couple of months if their release rate keeps going steady. may cover the remaining parts myself once i get to it. though one slight issue remains which is over the translation statue for the drama cds, OP doesn't seem active anymore so i'll presume it's on hiatus till someone else takes over, any takers? onegai shimasu

update: search for the drama cds in the internet proved futile so far, and i'm not even sure they are uploaded somewhere out there. either they are in some obscure chinese tracker and/or don't exist in a shared format yet. either way, this is gonna take longer than anticipated so if any of you have them, let me know. thanks.

update: managed to get all of them, and now they are all archived in the internet archive. Although, they don't show up on Google's search engine, so you would have to go to the site directly and look them up for anyone who's been wanting a complete version of them even if not translated yet.
