Both are in the market to appeal to otaku, it's not really that surprising. It's not like gacha games are some kind of renowned medium to collab with either.
Also, no wonder they're popular, it's waifuism but now they're real and the fan can feel validated just by paying a few bucks so that they adress them directly.
That comment reminded me that one of the first gacha I remember becoming aware of, is Divine Gate. Before the shit edgy anime full of teen poetry, all I knew about it was precisely that it was this thing a LOT of stuff collab'd with. I saw those collabs as weird ads more than anything. Nothing too special. And I still do.

If I could choose between dropping a few bucks to vtubers and spending on gacha, I'd choose former. Youtube doesn't want me to, so gacha it is, though.
I'm hoping the remake will include at least one new servant (maybe the Berserker from Gil's CCC route?), because at this point, of the original 3, the only one I'm not sick of seeing is Tamamo.
My first thought was wondering what was so bad about CCC, it's not much more lewd than FGO... Then I remembered that I never bothered to play the true route and never dealt with all of Kiara's shenanigans....

Yeah CCC would never fly on Sony platforms today. Though surprisingly for their family friendly image, Nintendo hasn't been censoring anime games on Switch.
If we got a Berserker, it'd probably be Nightingale. No telling on a possible Lancer, Assassin, Rider, or Avenger tho. It's fun to speculate, but new faces would be nice...

It's not, no. They might add a couple new scenes but nothing that was already there is being changed.

Oh right, i wonder if they’ll add in the servant endings from CCC as the epilogue? Instead of the copy pasted rin/rani going to look for hakuno’s body. Kinda pointless to try and do the ‘seemingly bittersweet’ ending again since we know data hakuno doesn’t actually kick the bucket.

Nothing story-wise is being changed. They're changing gameplay, character design, enemy design, etc.
