A brand new PokéToon is up. This one has zero dialogue in it so don't worry about being able to follow along.

Just watched Pokémon Evolutions Ep 3, and I was just reminded how much of an elitist d-bag I have come to realize Lysander truly was. He honest to God hates poor people, and is basically an aristocratic tech bro gone genocidal.
Where did you get the idea he hates poor people at?
Spoiler:
It costs $5 million (or was it $1 million?) to join Team Flare. I don't think that shows a particular love for the poor, and more than that, his whole start of darkness was him inventing the Holo Caster, it getting huge, people clamoring for more, and him getting sick of the unwashed masses constantly asking for more of his genius because he had already done enough. Not once does he consider what people are asking for nor if he really has done all he can, and regardless, he views their concerns as ugly and thinks most people are using up precious resources with their mediocrity. It certainly doesn't help that he was born into former Kalosian royalty, and that most of his friends are rich and/or famous.
Lysander is basically a genocidal tech bro, like if Steve Jobs or Elon Musk decided enough was enough and that he would nuke the planet because the ungrateful poors demand too much of their genius.
And it cost a lot of money to get a bicycle in the original games without a voucher, it's just a little reference. And then's the Slowpoke Tail thing in Gold and Silver.

Hi guys, I've been collecting pokemon cards for the past few months and I was wondering what is the best way to value the cards. Is there a website that can do this for all my cards?
I tend to use https://www.pokeprice.io but TCG Player and Cardmarket are good too.
^ Speaking of the TCG...

He directed the last great game in the series and did a lot more before that, I would've like to see another game from him but now he'll probably be even more uninvolved than before.
The last games he directed were BDSP, Let's go, and X&Y.
I didn't say his last game was great, I said the last great game was his, aka BW.
BDSP is just because he did DP and those are carbon copies. Let's Go is a different thing entirely.
XY was bad, which is why I wanted another one from him before he moved on.

Ah fair enough, then. OG Sun&Moon still goated though...

Got a mail today, ptcgo's closing date is still TBD, but the support is getting thinner, since its successor ptcg Live is supposed to end its beta quite soon. The Pokémon TCG Online app will be removed from the App Store, Google Play, and Pokemon.com—and game servers will be shut down—prior to the official worldwide launch of Pokémon TCG Live, which is now available in beta to players around the world on iOS and Android devices, as well as PCs and Macs. We’ll have more details to share on exact timing in the future.
Almost everything from ptcgo's account will get transferred once the players confirms migration, except HGSS block and some cosmetic.
The card collecting was quite chaotic back then, it required either the use of a secondary market or beating children in tournaments on weekends.
Ptcg Live will be the classic "everything untradeable" like HS, LoR, duellinks or any online tcg vulnerable to p2w changes.
According to a quick search through reddit and pokebeach, Live is currently extremely buggy because of incompetence in dev or management team, which explains the release date of live is still TBD.
Most of those who played it stopped at one time or another(reshiram+charizard tagduo for me), but it's nonetheless it's a quite old relic reaching its end.
Actually, fuck this game, no remorse spitting on its corpse.
- Supporter forbidden turn1 after forcing players for years to not only rely on items, removed DCE, removed fairy, made control offmeta in standard AND banned control cards from extended.
- Evolution turned into a joke: either the stage 2 is a basic(???) or an unusable joke.
- Fillers for packs have 0 value: useless stats and recycled art.
- RNG from coin flips is still there in key cards.
- Still no chosen mulligan, so a player can now lose turn 1 because of coin+supporter clause.
- Poison/burn/confusion didnt scale with the blatant powercreep.
How to play the game now? use this shiny Vmax or Vunion, which has 300+HP and does 200+dmg for two energies, because juggernauts make more money than a balanced meta.
Juggernauts give 3 prize cards now, what's the future? a 1000HP juggernauts immunized to effects which give 6 prize cards?
/endofrant
Ah yes, it wouldn't be a Pokémon anime without Pikachu it seems.
