So, the third Heaven's Feel IDs Angra Mainyu's hypothetical Beast form as the Beast of Retribution, and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Singularity idea based around that.

Quick question. Does anyone know how to collapse an image into a new one?

Take this post as an example:

If you reply with quote on your example, you can copy and paste the code. You use the collapse function and in it =""

RE: Fate/Grand Order — 3rd Singularity

Symbol Table:
■■■■■ - Black Spoiler Box. Click to reveal.
Your song recommendations for this Singularity include "London Calling" by The Clash or the British National Anthem. Or, if you want to get into the uneasiness and suspense of this Singularity, choose to listen to the creepiest version of "London Bridge is Falling Down," like the Dezzaired version.

Don't forget your magnifying glasses and steam pipes my fellow fledgling detectives, because we're going to catch a killer! Just be sure to watch your back in this fog...
City of Muder Beneath the Deceitful Fog
London – 1888 A.D.
“Ripper of the Misty Night”

Nights like these make for a killing.

Name: City of Murder Beneath the Deceitful Fog – London
Subtitle: Ripper of the Misty Night
Human Foundation Value: A-

Location: London
Year: 1888 A.D.
Grail Holder: Lev Lainur ■■■■■■■Flauros
Demon God Pillar: ■■■■■■■Flauros
Factions: Chaldea Security Organization, Project Demonic Fog

Description of Events:
19th-century London was a bustling era for the British. With the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and the population growing, London was a hub of commerce and industry. Unfortunately, this also brought many struggles to the people of London. Poverty, social classes, diseases, and many more troubles were produced in the Victorian era.

But, there was one thing most people in the modern age remember most about this era. In 1888, a series of murders took place in London's sector of Whitechapel. What was left of the victims were mutilations so horrible people believed it to be the work of the demon. Worst, the murderer was never identified or even caught. These haunting acts of manslaughter earned the anonymous killer a name. This name would go down as one of the greatest serial killers and humanity's longest unsolved enigmas in history:

Jack the Ripper...

…It should have stopped at five deaths.

Instead, things turned from bad to worse.

In this Singularity, what should have been five murders turned into ten, then twenty, then fifty, until the number began to go over hundreds, maybe even thousands. All of them had one thing in common: they matched the modus operandi of Jack the Ripper. At this point, it was impossible to deduce if the murders were committed by the real Jack the Ripper, a copycat killer, or other people entirely. All people began pointing fingers at each other, desperate to find a scapegoat to end this surreal nightmare.

To make matters worse, a mysterious fog has swept over the entire city of London and has only grown thicker ever since. Anyone who disappears into the fog is either dead or never seen again. With how fast the now-named Demonic Fog is growing, it may expand across Europe.

There is only one thing the citizens of London know in this city of faceless murder: Once you are lost in the fog, Jack the Ripper has already claimed you as his victim...

Spoiler:
During the Industrial Era of London, Lev Lainur ■■■■■■■Flauros visited this Singularity during the Jack the Ripper killings. Originally, only five women were killed by Jack. However, Lev launched a plan to continue the killings using his Holy Grail. Lev allies with Zolgen Makiri and summons their Servants to destroy humanity regardless of their thoughts on humanity’s incineration.

They first remove opposition from the Clock Tower, with Charles Babbage summoning the Helter Skelters to assist the assault using his Noble Phantasm
Gorgeous World of Ashes
「Dimension of Steam」
. They succeed killing most of the mages there and causing the remnants to scatter across Europe escaping their slaughter. While Lev lets his Servant Jack the Ripper (Berserker ver.) continue killing to spread fear in London, Zolgen and his Servant Charles Babbage begin to work on the Demonic Fog and the Fog Machine, Angrboda.

The Demonic Fog had three functions: the first was to slowly drain London’s citizens of magical energy. Due to specific settings chosen on Angrboda, the Demonic Fog was not meant to drain a person to death. Rather the Fog drained their magical energy in small amounts, a deliberate choice made by Zolgen and Babbage to ensure people were killed by Jack and not by the Fog. Even with how little magical energy the Fog absorbed, there were over several million people in London that made up for this. Angrboda had an emergency setting that would allow the Fog to drain faster in case of unforeseen circumstances that would ruin the plan. If any, the only harm being done to people is trouble breathing in the thickest parts of the Fog.

The Demonic Fog’s second function was to summon the Ripper Suspects. The Ripper Suspects are former Heroic Spirits modified by Lev and the Grail using Berserker Jack’s Saint Graph. It granted them increased power and skills similar to Presence Concealment and Mad Enhancement, making them slightly more stronger than regular Servants. This also modified their memories and personality into heartless murderers, made worse by granted skills like Mental Pollution. The Fog could also affect living people who were originally thought to be Jack the Ripper, in case with Helena Blavatsky whose mind and body was changed to further support the idea she could have been Jack the Ripper. Because their mindset is similar to Jack, the Ripper Suspects killed the same way Jack did. However, a well trained eye could notice small differences from each group of victims. The Ripper Suspects could never properly replicate the original Jack the Ripper's modus operandi since they used to be completely different people with different fighting styles and personalities. It also became confusing to deduce whether a Servant was summoned by the Counter Force or the Fog, as later seen when the Berserker Vlad III is accused of being a Suspect. Their biggest flaw is that they cannot move outside the Fog, as they are bound to it.

Lev’s ultimate goal was not Jack the Ripper. His true goal was exploiting the final, but most important function of the Demonic Fog: the ability to cause illusions and distort the truth. During Angrboda’s construction, an unnamed mage from another Singularity came to help. Supporting the Incineration of Humanity, the Faceless Magus modified the Fog using their specialization of illusion magecraft ■■■■■■■and their Noble Phantasm. The Demonic Fog manipulates a person’s five senses, and people’s perception becomes something completely different from what really happened. The thicker the Fog, the worse this effect becomes. Worst, the Ripper Suspects seem to be immune to this effect. Only a Servant with high Magic Resistance could nullify this effect. It was also easy to raise people’s fears easily with this effect. This made the people of London completely lost in the pursuit of Jack the Ripper. Lev was able to spread rumors that the Fog was caused by Jack, exploiting the factories causing steam and smoke to go overdrive. In their state, London believed this half-truth.

By the time Angrboda was nearing its completion, Berserker Jack had killed over twenty people and had the city confused in terror. Lev then placed Berserker Jack and the Holy Grail into the machine. Lev then summoned two more Servants to finish construction of the pipes: the Assassin H.H. Holmes and the Caster Paracelsus von Hohenheim. Holmes used his Noble Phantasm
The Hell Hotel
「Murder Castle」
to construct his booby trapped hotel over the underground chamber holding Angrboda. The only way to the chamber was through the hotel, which Holmes has complete control over. Paracelsus began creating homunculi to assist in the final touches to the machine. The homunculi and Helter Skelter also created false fog machines in the abandoned factories just in case someone were to follow a lead.

The Demonic Fog swept over London in a span of a week. Londoners had thought the Demonic Fog was just excess smoke caused by the factories. It was when bodies started showing up in the Fog that London started worrying. The first Ripper Suspects had begun killing in the Demonic Fog, and the body count had started to rise steadily. As a result of the Fog and the Ripper Suspects, Londoners forced themselves to stay indoors. Entire areas were completely abandoned; the streets completely void of any life. More Ripper Suspects began to materialize from the Demonic Fog, who would prey among those unlucky to cross their path.

The Demonic Fog completely isolated London from the rest of Britain. Water and food supply began to dwindle, and the population of London slowly declined due to being killed by a Ripper Suspects, suffocating in the Demonic Fog, or lack of nourishment. The Demonic Fog began to slowly expand out of London; in theory it could engulf all of Britain if given enough time.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was in London at this time. With no Sherlock Holmes in London, Sir Doyle began launching his own investigation into the nature of the Fog and its connection to Jack the Ripper. He would form an alliance with Victor Frankenstein and Henry Jekyll in a joint effort to save London. Sir Doyle would later meet Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg, and both of them would work together in the field to solve the mystery.

Key Characters:

Chaldea Security Organization
Shielder (Demi-Servant) - Mash Kyrielight:
The Servant of Ritsuka Fujimaru. She has been Ritsuka’s shield since the 1st Singularity. As a fan of the Sherlock Holmes series, she is elated to meet Sir Arthur Conan Doyle when he reveals his True Name, much to his sheepishness. She manages to keep up well with the investigation, being surprisingly observant.

Alongside Ritsuka, they both learn about the value of TRUTH from Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg; finding an unbiased, moral solution to a difficult problem in order to satisfy humanity’s sense of closure. She also learns that the truth can be easily manipulated whether to fear or selfishness, with humans believing what they want to believe to satisfy themselves rather than the masses.

■■■■■■■■■■When the group is confronted by Solomon, his interest in Mash prevents Solomon from killing everyone and only summons four Demon Gods. He still manages to destroy the group, and he expresses his sympathy for Mash much to Ritsuka’s confusion. After escaping Solomon, Mash laments their dead allies and wonders if they will be able to defeat Solomon. Romani and Sir Doyle tell her that they can only keep moving forward for their sakes and confront their true enemy regardless of their fear.

She and Ritsuka bid Sir Doyle, Assassin, and Jekyll goodbye, ■■■■■■the only survivors allied with Chaldea. Mash hopes they would meet again in Chaldea.

Caster (Living Human) - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle:
The main ally of Chaldea. Despite being very competent and intelligent in the investigation, he is humble and feels slightly out of place due to thinking there are other Heroic Spirits that qualify instead of him. His inferiority complex may stem from ■■■■■him also being Dr. John Watson, Sherlock Holmes’s friend and assistant. With how much of a margin Holmes’ deductive skills exceeds his, ■■■■it would explain why he feels the detective should have been summoned to solve the Ripper/Fog case. Regardless, Doyle’s help brings Chaldea closer to solving the mystery.

Long before Chaldea’s arrival, Sir Doyle had help in the form of Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg. Together, they make a formidable “think tank” on the field. Assassin seems to enjoy teasing the timid author, much to his embarrassment and frustration.

Later, he and Chaldea discover that Holmes was in the London Singularity, but the latter was confident that Chaldea could solve the mystery with Sir Doyle. Holmes was also apparently investigating something and had left the Singularity, implying that Chaldea would meet him soon.

■■■■■He survives the Singularity, and publishes the truth (sans the supernatural aspects) about Jack and the Fog.

Assassin of the Seance - ■■■■■■■■■■Rose Mackenberg:
Another main ally of Chaldea and Sir Doyle’s partner. Assassin is an intelligent, but skeptical investigator who thinks the mystification of Jack the Ripper and the Fog is being blown out of proportion. She’s also a bit mischievous, purposely withholding her True Name from Chaldea but leaving hints for them to find. She has a great talk with Ritsuka and Mash about the reason why people seek the truth.

One of her Noble Phantasms is crucial as it weakens the Mystery caused by the Fog and Jack the Ripper, revealing clues that bring the group closer to solving the Singularity. She also seems to be skilled in creating non-magecraft illusions, although she admits that her illusions would be overshadowed by Harry Houdini“that man”. ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■This comes into good use when she fakes being killed by Solomon, and creates an illusion to distract him long enough for Chaldea to escape with the Holy Grail.

■■■■■■■■She survives the Singularity, and tells both Sir Doyle and Chaldea she hopes to meet again. She also gives Sir Doyle a goodbye kiss just to fluster him, as she dematerializes right after smugly.

Assassin/Berserker (Living Human) - Henry Jekyll/Edward Hyde:
Another main ally of Chaldea. Alongside Sir Doyle, Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg, and Victor Frankenstein, they make up an alliance attempting to solve the nature of the Singularity. With the emergence of the Ripper Suspects, Jekyll begins to worry that his evil counterpart Edward Hyde is one of the Suspects.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■It is revealed that Hyde holds a key part of the mystery, as he witnessed a crucial piece of information that deems him a threat to Project Demonic Fog. After Hyde (plus Jekyll) disappears to commit misdeeds, Chaldea begins a search to bring him back and interrogate him. They manage to rescue him just in time as Hyde is fighting with both Avenger Jack and Assassin Jack.

■■■■■■■■He survives the Singularity, and bids Chaldea farewell as the Fog in London begins to dissipate.

Caster - Ada Lovelace:
A Servant summoned by the Counter Force. She was possibly summoned to counter Charles Babbage, who is collaborating with the Incineration of Humanity. One of her Noble Phantasms,
Numeric Fairy of Steel
「Analytical Engine – Calculation」
, becomes extremely useful to the group due to its ability to make high-speed calculations.

She sends a distress signal to Chaldea so she can get help trying to escape the Phantom of the Opera, a Ripper Suspect. She was actually a target of Project Demonic Fog due to her connection to Babbage. Luckily, Chaldea manages to rescue her and escape. As Project Demonic Fog feared, Ada begins to help begin unraveling the conspiracy.

■■■■■■■She is killed by Solomon in Angrboda’s chamber.

Archer - Nikola Tesla:
A Servant summoned by the Counter Force. He was possibly summoned to solve Helena’s situation, a Ripper Suspect. After learning of Helena’s circumstances, he resolves to clear her name and allies with Chaldea.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■After clearing Helena’s name and freeing her from the influence of the Fog, he and Fran leave the group to console Helena. During the fight against Paracelsus, Tesla and Fran to help, with the latter given new combat modifications.

■■■■■■■He is killed by Solomon in Angrboda’s chamber.

Berserker (Living “Human”) - Frankenstein’s Monster:
Created by Victor Frakenstein, she becomes an ally of Chaldea when Victor is killed by Mephistopheles. Tesla would later give her combat modifications to help her fight more efficiently. ■■■■■■■Both would come to save Chaldea from Paracelsus, decimating the homunculi with their lightning.

■■■■■■■She is killed by Solomon in Angrboda’s chamber.

Berserker - Vlad III:
A Servant summoned by the Counter Force. He was originally thought to be a Ripper Suspect, but his name is cleared due to the rule that Ripper Suspects can’t leave the Fog. He was also framed for the vampiric kills that Carmilla (and to a lesser extent, Avenger Jack) committed. He joins and becomes one of the group’s most powerful Servants.

■■■■■■■■He is killed by Solomon in Angrboda’s chamber, taking a hit for Ritsuka.

Project Demonic Fog
Berserker - Jack the Ripper:
A Servant of Lev Lainur and the main focus of this Singularity. According to Sir Doyle, this version of Jack is an ideal representation of the true Jack the Ripper despite it being a shapeless being. All of the Ripper Suspects indirectly originate from him, with his Saint Graph corrupting them into homicidal monsters. ■■■■■■■■■■Berserker Jack is one of the cores of the Demonic Fog Machine Angrboda with the Holy Grail being the other.

■■■■■■■■■■■■After Chaldea finds the machine, Berserker Jack is let out by Zolgen to stop them from destroying Angrboda and retrieving the Grail. Both him and Zolgen Makiri are the pre-climax bosses of the Singularity. Eventually, Chaldea succeeds in defeating the pair and retrieving the Holy Grail, stopping Angrboda and Project Demonic Fog for good.

■■■■■■■■He is killed by Fran in Angrboda’s chamber with him lamenting never getting the chance to get his wish: finding his identity.

Caster - Paracelsus von Hohenheim:
A Servant of Lev Lainur. He is the source of the homunculi that are roaming the Singularity, when Chaldea originally thought they were stray homunculi from the abandoned Clock Tower. ■■■■■■■■■■His homunculi helped with the construction of Angrboda. Under Lev’s orders, he also constructed fake Demonic Fog Machines to throw people off track.

■■■■■■■■■■Once Chaldea arrives, he finds and forces both Avenger Jack the Ripper and Assassin Jack the Ripper into a covert alliance to track Chaldea’s movements. Only when half of the Ripper Suspects were being killed that Project Demonic Fog, including Paracelsus, started to take them more seriously. Paracelsus sends a few homunculi to test their power so he could come up with a plan to get rid of them.

Paracelsus and Project Demonic Fog make their full appearance after Chaldea discovers them as the source of the Fog and the Ripper Suspects. Once their cover is blown, Paracelsus begins sending more homunculi to kill the group.

He is the second member of Project Demonic Fog that Chaldea encounters. ■■■■■■■■■■■■He commands Assassin Jack to kill Babbage after being defeated by Chaldea and attempting to reveal Angrboda’s location. Both he and Assassin Jack engage Chaldea, but Assassin Jack is killed. This is witnessed by Avenger Jack who flies into a rage trying to kill Chaldea. But due to Chaldea’s overwhelming numbers and his homunculi forces dwindling, Paracelsus forces Avenger Jack to retreat and replenish their numbers.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■It’s later revealed that Paracelsus wanted Avenger Jack to witness Assassin Jack’s death, so he could use an enraged Avenger Jack to wear down Chaldea and kill both parties to tie up all loose ends. After the Faceless Mage vampirifies Avenger Jack to strengthen her, both she and Paracelsus confront Chaldea for one last time. After Chaldea’s tough battle against Avenger Jack, Paracelsus gravely injures her with a holy blade given to him by the Faceless Mage and deems her work complete. He begins to overrun the worn out Ritsuka and his group with his homunculi, and almost succeeds. His plan fails when Tesla returns alongside a combat modified Fran to save the group, the two Servants Paracelsus forgot about.

■■■■■■He is killed by a vengeful, still alive Avenger Jack after trying to call reinforcements.

Caster - Charles Babbage:
The Servant of Zolgen Makiri and the Creator of the Demonic Fog. The Mechanized Infantry in the American Singularity were actually based off of Charles Babbage’s mechanical body. Ada assumes that these designs were given to America’s Demon God Pillar by this Singularity’s Demon God Pillar. Babbage is unhappy with the Incineration of Humanity, but cannot defy his Master’s orders.

■■■■■■■■■■After confirming Chaldea knows of their presence, Project Demonic Fog begins sending their minions to prevent them from proceeding. Babbage is forced by Zolgen’s Command Spell to rout the group, despite Ada trying to tell Babbage to resist the command. After being defeated, Babbage tells the group about Angrboda and how it summons the Ripper Suspects. He is stopped by Assassin Jack and Paracelsus when he tries to reveal Angrboda’s location.

■■■■■■He is dismembered by Assassin Jack, making him the first member of Project Demonic Fog to be killed.

Assassin - H.H. Holmes:
A Servant of Lev Lainur. ■■■■■■■■His Noble Phantasm
The Hell Hotel
「Murder Castle」
is the only way into the underground chamber holding the Demonic Fog machine Angrboda.
He is the first Servant encountered by Chaldea, although later they think H. H. Holmes is a Ripper Suspect and not actually Lev’s Servant.

■■■■■■■■■Ritsuka and Mash have the misfortune to wander into Holmes the first thing after Rayshifting. He nearly gets them trapped and killed in his hotel, but Sir Doyle and Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg saves them and catches Holmes off guard. They manage to escape the hotel, but Holmes fortifies the hotel in preparation of their return.

■■■■■■He later returns as an ally of Phantom of the Opera, who assists him in trying to capture Ada (with Phantom seeing her true form and believing her to be Christine). His true agenda was to kill Ada and blame Chaldea, setting another Ripper Suspect on them. All members of Project Demonic Fog except Babbage discovered her presence in the Singularity and realized how much of a threat she could become due to her being able to recognize Babbage’s work. Commanded by his Master Lev, Holmes (with assistance from Assassin Jack) began their plan to kill Ada by first trapping her in his hotel with Phantom.

■■■■■■■■■■■■When Chaldea comes to rescue Ada, both Holmes and Phantom have the home advantage. But thanks to Ada’s Noble Phantasm
Numeric Fairy of Steel
「Analytical Engine – Calculation」
and Tesla’s paralyzing electricity, they are able to outsmart and immobilize the duo. They manage to kill Phantom, but Assassin Jack rescues Holmes. Instead of pursuing them, Chaldea escapes the hotel after discovering from Ada the entire hotel is Holmes’ Noble Phantasm
.

■■■■■■■■■■After Chaldea discovers Angrboda’s location under Holmes’ hotel, they make a plan to kill Holmes as quickly as possible to avoid being killed in its traps. With Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg and Ada using their Noble Phantasms in succession, they are able to confront Holmes.

■■■■■He is electrocuted to death by Fran, dispelling
The Hell Hotel
「Murder Castle」
and allowing Chaldea to proceed to Angrboda’s chamber
.

Zolgen Makiri:
An ally of Lev Lainur and the Master of Charles Babbage. Zolgen created Angrboda alongside Charles Babbage, and is responsible for the oversight of the Ripper Suspects. A completely average human and a first-rate magus, his reasons for assisting in the Incineration of Humanity is unknown. He seems to agree with his “king’s” vision of clearing the world of ugliness. Both he and Lev tolerate each other’s presence.

■■■■■■It’s later revealed by Solomon that Zolgen is part of a group called the Solomon’s Acolytes, Servants and humans working independently from the Demon Gods under Solomon’s command. They had been overseeing the growth of the Singularities behind the scenes.

■■■■■■■■■■■■He sets Angrboda to rapidly increase the quantities of the Demonic Fog once Chaldea begins searching for Project Demonic Fog. His plan involves stranding Chaldea in the Fog while rapidly draining London dry of its magical energy. Then, Zolgen plans to detonate the Fog using the energy stolen, destroying Chaldea and all of London for good. Unfortunately, Chaldea makes it to the chamber and confronts Zolgen for the first time.

■■■■■■■■After Lev turns into Flauros and is defeated, Zolgen takes Lev’s Command Spells before the latter dies, becoming Berserker Jack’s new Master. He brings Berserker Jack out of Angrboda and engages Chaldea. However, the pair is defeated.

■■■■■■He is killed by Tesla in Angrboda’s chamber, not before warning Chaldea that they stand no chance against his “king” and will most likely come after killing one of his Acolytes.

Lev Lainur ■■■■■■■Flauros:
The Grail Holder, the Master of Berserker Jack the Ripper, Paracelsus von Hohenheim, and H.H. Holmes, ■■■■■■■and the Demon God Pillar Flauros. He is charged in the oversight of the London Singularity, with Zolgen as his second-in-command. He is mentioned by his Servants Paracelsus and Holmes that he is in the Singularity to Chaldea, waiting for them. And yet, Lev still doesn’t see them as a threat since he believes they are still too weak to stop the Incineration of Humanity.

■■■■■■■■■■Chaldea finally confronts both Zolgen and Lev in Angrboda’s chamber. After taunting Chaldea, he turns into the Demon God Pillar Flauros and tries to kill them all. However, Chaldea prevails and defeats him. Before he dies, Zolgen takes his Command Spells and his ownership of Berserker Jack.

■■■■■■■■■He is killed by Zolgen in Angrboda’s chamber by extracting his mana and Command Spells. However, both the deaths of Lev Lainur Flauros and Zolgen Makiri later finally causes Solomon to confront Chaldea.

Unaffiliated
Caster (Living Human) - Helena Blavatsky (Jack the Ripper):
One of the Ripper Suspects. She was originally meant to be in her late 50s at this time period, but the Demonic Fog had seemingly modified her into a younger appearance. It links to her possibly being Jack the Ripper in the Proper Human History. Tesla, however, is not convinced that Helena is Jack and is determined to prove the evidence wrong. It’s mentioned she mistrusts Sir Doyle the moment they meet, as Sir Doyle was part of the SPR (Society for Psychical Research), an organization Helena had opposed.

Mephistopheles, after killing Victor Frankenstein, begins to mentally manipulate Helena into giving in to become Jack. She also begins to have blanks in her memories, leading her to fear she is behind the murders. ■■■■■■■■However, with Sir Doyle’s investigation and Tesla’s trust in her, Helena is broken free from the Fog and is proven not to be a Ripper Suspect.

■■■■She survives the Singularity, presumably going back to normal.

Assassin - Phantom of the Opera:
A Servant summoned by the Demonic Fog and one of the Ripper Suspects. His Mental Pollution skill has been enhanced by the Fog, making him hallucinate all the women he had killed is Christine. H.H. Holmes later manipulates Phantom into believing that Ada Lovelace is the true Christine, trapped in the mechanized armor.

■■■■■■■■Both Phantom and Holmes trap Ada in the latter’s hotel Noble Phantasm, but Ada escapes deeper into the hotel. Luckily, Chaldea arrives to save Ada and battles with Phantom and Holmes.

■■■■Phantom is killed by Tesla, still hallucinating Ada is Christine.

Assassin - Carmilla:
A Servant summoned by the Demonic Fog and one of the Ripper Suspects. While her method of killing still emulates Jack the Ripper’s, Sir Doyle is able to discover amounts of blood missing from her victims.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■At first, Vlad III is blamed for Carmilla’s crimes. Both Carmilla and Avenger Jack make multiple setups to have Chaldea kill Vlad to prevent him from being a problem. However, Sir Doyle is able to clear his name and propose a different vampiric killer. They are eventually able to find Carmilla and link her to the crimes. With help from Avenger Jack, they attempt to kill Ritsuka and his group. Unfortunately, they are defeated.
■■■■
She is killed by Vlad, who gets back at her trying to sully his name as the thing he hates most.

Caster - Mephistopheles:
A Servant summoned by the Demonic Fog and one of the Ripper Suspects. Because the Suspects were meant to imitate Jack the Ripper killings, his Noble Phantasm has been sealed. Mephistopheles instead relies more on his skill to manipulate people and put them in unwinnable situations. Before Chaldea’s arrival, Mephistopheles had met Lev and made an “unofficial” alliance.

■■■■■■■■He makes his first appearance after he kills Victor Frankenstein right before Chaldea arrives. After battling with him, Mephistopheles escapes thanks to the Fog creating an illusion that tricks Ritsuka and his group.

■■■■■■■■■■Later, Lev gave Mephistopheles instructions to emotionally and mentally manipulate Helena into completely succumbing to the Fog and to use her Noble Phantasm
Ritual from Hell
「Star of Goetia」
. He becomes dangerously close to succeeding, but underestimates Helena’s bond with Tesla
.

■■■■He is killed by Tesla, but Mephistopheles taunts the group that they will never find the truth.

Assassin - Jack the Ripper:
A Servant summoned by the Demonic Fog and one of the Ripper Suspects. Alongside her Avenger counterpart, she is one of the first Ripper Suspects to be summoned by the Demonic Fog. She is also the first Ripper Suspect encountered by Chaldea. Sometime before Chaldea’s arrival, Jack met her Avenger counterpart and both of them made an alliance. She is one of the Servants repeatedly encountered by Chaldea, who uses guerilla tactics against them every chance she gets.

■■■■■■■■■■■■She attacks Fujimaru and his Servants right after they escape from Holmes’ hotel. Unseen, Avenger Jack helps Assassin Jack escape from Chaldea. Later, they make an “alliance” with Paracelsus so they could track Chaldea’s movements. Under Paracelsus’ orders, they attempt to force Chaldea away from the ruins of the Clock Tower but fail.

■■■■■■■■■■■■Assassin Jack is then ordered to monitor Chaldea independently and destroy any evidence of Project Demonic Fog, although the latter group is still discovered. Under Paracelsus’ orders, she assists in H.H. Holmes and Phantom’s efforts of trying to catch Ada. She later saves the former after the plan fails. Assassin Jack also returns to assist Avenger Jack against Hyde.

■■■■■■■■■■After Chaldea’s battle with Babbage, Assassin Jack and Paracelsus kill him to prevent the reveal of Angrboda’s location. With Paracelsus’ assistance and Jack releasing all of her Noble Phantasms, they go all out trying to stop Chaldea. Unfortunately, she tires out too quickly and is overwhelmed.

■■■■■■She is killed by Vlad III, all witnessed by Avenger Jack who swears to kill him and Chaldea.

Avenger - Jack the Ripper:
A Servant summoned by the Demonic Fog and one of the Ripper Suspects. She is another interpretation of Jack the Ripper, being one of Whitechapel’s many prostitutes who lost their unborn child. She also has a Phantom fused to her, ■■■■the vampiric Geraldine from the poem Christabel. Both her and Assassin Jack have a strong mother-daughter bond, and make a great team.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■During Chaldea’s first confrontation with Assassin Jack, she gravely injures Ritsuka and comes very close to killing them, forcing Chaldea to retreat. Later, they make an “alliance” with Paracelsus so they could track Chaldea’s movements. Under Paracelsus’ orders, they attempt to force Chaldea away from the ruins of the Clock Tower but fail. Paracelsus then has Avenger Jack perform other tasks away from Assassin Jack much to Avenger Jack’s anger.

■■■■■■■■She is later commanded to indirectly help Carmilla frame Vlad III. She makes a temporary alliance with Carmilla to fight Chaldea once Carmilla’s crimes are revealed. Unfortunately, Carmilla is killed, forcing Avenger Jack to retreat.

■■■■■■■■Avenger Jack later appears trying to kill Hyde, with the former holding a key component to the mystery. Assassin Jack returns to assist Avenger Jack, with Chaldea backing Hyde. Chaldea wins the fight and secures Hyde, leaving both Jacks to escape.

■■■■■■■■■■■■After forcing people into the Fog, Avenger Jack returns to find Vlad III killing Assassin Jack. Enraged, she tries to kill Ritsuka’s group, but is forced to retreat by a worn Paracelsus. Wishing for the strength to kill Chaldea so she could avenge Assassin Jack, the Faceless Mage returns to the Singularity and turns Avenger Jack into a vampire thanks to her Phantom.

■■■■■■■■■■Avenger Jack and Paracelsus confront Chaldea for the last time and try to kill them. Thanks to the power boost and Paracelsus’ homunculi, she is able to fight on equal grounds. However, she begins to lose control and stamina due to her lack of experience with her new powers. At the end of the fight, both parties are tired out.

■■■■■■■■Weakened, she is unable to avoid being stabbed with a holy weapon by Paracelsus, who deems their alliance over. After Paracelsus’ fails to kill Chaldea, a still-alive Avenger Jack brutally murders Paracelsus for getting her and Assassin Jack into Project Demonic Fog’s mess.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■She attempts to attack Chaldea one last time, but her injuries finally start to take a toll. She curses Vlad III and Chaldea for taking away the one chance to have a family again. Both Vlad and Ritsuka don’t ask for forgiveness from her, although Vlad tries to shift the blame towards him as he was the one to kill Assassin Jack. Ritsuka vows to summon Assassin Jack and Avenger Jack together despite knowing Avenger Jack will never trust them.

■■■■■■She finally dies from Paracelsus’ holy weapon, mourning for Assassin Jack and hating herself for not being able to get revenge for her or any of the aborted children in her previous life.

Spoiler:
The Faceless Magus:
The Magus responsible for giving the Demonic Fog the ability to create illusions. Presumably, the Faceless Magus is another one of the Acolytes as they are situated in another one of the Singularities. While Chaldea never encounters or even knows about them, the Faceless Magus’ work is felt throughout the Singularity. Lev lets it slip that the Faceless Magus is known for their mastery over illusion magecraft, but is stronger due to their allegiance to Solomon.

They later return to the Singularity to see its progress, though Zolgen calls them out about only caring about their Singularity and not this one. Faceless mockingly tries to defend themselves, but Zolgen makes it clear they only helped out of pity. It’s a conversation that is broken up by Lev, saying all of them are allies loyal to their “king.”

They later assist in Paracelsus’ plan to kill Chaldea using Avenger Jack. Faceless manipulates and empowers ■■■■the Phantom Geraldine in Avenger Jack, with ■■■■■■Geraldine’s vampiric abilities overtaking Avenger Jack and turning her into a pseudo-Dead Apostle. They gleefully watch Paracelsus and Avenger Jack lose the fight against Chaldea.

Faceless later leaves the Singularity, claiming it is doomed to fall and wants to prepare for Chaldea’s arrival at their Singularity.

Grand Caster - Solomon_?:
The Master of the Demon Gods and Acolytes and the instigator of the Human Incineration Order.

After Lev and Zolgen are killed, Solomon appears and slaughters Chaldea’s allies easily. Despite declaring Chaldea weak to stop him, he refuses to let an outlier like them to try to get in his way. He attempts to kill Ritsuka, but he is caught off guard by Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg’s illusion tricks and Ritsuka’s group escapes. Instead of pursuing them, Solomon lets them escape and assures himself that the Chaldea’s future is not absolute. He leaves the job of killing Ritsuka to his Demon Gods and Acolytes and declares they won’t survive the next Singularities.

Solomon leaves the London Singularity, with the threat of him engraved into Chaldea’s minds.

Key Noble Phantasms:

Ritual from Hell
「Star of Goetia」
:
One of Helena Blavatsky (Jack the Ripper)’s Noble Phantasms. This powerful source of black magic is the crystallization of the theory that the Whitechapel Murders were part of a large magical ritual. Helena can perform magical spells rivaling that of high thaumaturgy. However, Helena refuses to use this power due to being powered by the murders.

If Helena did use this Noble Phantasm, it would automatically prove the rumors of her being Jack true. The Demonic Fog would succeed in corrupting her, and would have another Ripper Suspect running around. Under the orders of Lev Lainur, Mephistopheles attempts to goad her into giving into the Fog and use the Noble Phantasm.

The Hell Hotel
「Murder Castle」
:
The Noble Phantasm of H.H. Holmes. This is the infamous hotel in which H.H. Holmes operated as a serial killer. In every room, every stair, every nook and cranny of this hotel hides deadly traps that can catch even the fastest Servants off guard. The longer a person stays in the hotel, the more likely a trap will succeed in killing them. Worst, it’s almost impossible to find an exit. The only way to dispel this Noble Phantasm is to find Holmes and kill him.

■■■■■■■■This Noble Phantasm was used above Angrboda’s chamber. The only way to the chamber is through the Noble Phantasm. Project Demonic Fog are the only ones that know how to navigate the perilous hotel. Chaldea uses all they have to navigate the hotel.

Invisible Armor Against Mystery
「Mystic Breaker」
:
One of Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg’s Noble Phantasms. This Noble Phantasm is the personification of her career exposing psychic frauds. When used, Assassin is completely immune to magical attacks and thaumaturgy. Even mental magecraft like illusions is completely nullified by this Noble Phantasm. The only flaws this Noble Phantasm has is that it needs to be consciously activated, requiring magical energy to keep it functioning. While it is very effective against magecraft of modern times, it is okay against magic from the Age of Gods.

Because of the Noble Phantasm’s effects, Assassin exploits it multiple times to nullify the Fog’s effects. It is possible without this Noble Phantasm, it would have been impossible to resolve the Singularity.

That Which is Unworthy of a Tragic Demise
「Natural Born Killers」
:
One of the Berserker-class Jack the Ripper’s Noble Phantasms. Based on the theory that Jack the Ripper was a group of people, this allows Jack to create multiple bodies depending on the Master’s magical energy. With Lev as his Master and the Grail supplying him, Berserker could create thousands of bodies indefinitely.

■■■■■■■■■■■■■■This Noble Phantasm is responsible for the creation of the Ripper Suspects. Lev and Zolgen were able to manipulate his Noble Phantasm to make it that any Servant summoned by the Fog is actually a spare body of Berserker Jack. While Berserker Jack doesn’t take complete control over a Ripper Suspect, parts of his Spirit Origin and Zolgen’s manipulations are embedded into them, turning them delusional with the belief they are Jack.

Notable Enemies:

Homunculi & Proto Homunculi - Lancer- & Assassin-class:
Artificial familiars created by Paracelsus. These homunculi helped finish the creation of Angrboda. The stray homunculi running around makes Chaldea think that they originally came from the ruins of the Clock Tower.

Automata, Killing Dolls, & Old Gears - Assassin-class:
Autonomous puppets created by H. H. Holmes. They are found in Holmes’ hotel, killing any intruders trapped.

Helter Skelter - Saber-class:
Robotic familiars created by Babbage’s Noble Phantasm
Gorgeous World of Ashes
「Dimension of Steam」
. The Helter Skelter originally acted as guards in Angrboda’s chamber. They would later be released onto London to collect magical energy after Chaldea discovers Project Demonic Fog. ■■■■■They disappear after Babbage’s death.

Spellbook, Thunder Book, Wind Book, Ice Book, Fire Book, and Grimoire - Caster-class:
Floating spell books used by Helena. They guard Helena’s estate, refusing entry to anyone who comes near.

Steam Ghosts and Massive Steam Ghosts - Rider-class:
The lost spirits who were killed by the Ripper Suspects and Project Demonic Fog. These agonized souls wander inside the Fog, searching to drain people of magical energy in an attempt to feel alive again. They disappear once the Demonic Fog dissipates.

Ripper Wraith - Berserker- & Assassin-class:
Lesser Ripper Suspects summoned by the Demonic Fog. They are similar to Shadow Servants, faceless and degraded copies of a proper Servant. They prey upon humans lost in the Fog, although they could actually be easily defeated in a one-on-one fight. ■■■■■■They disappear once the Demonic Fog recedes.

Time Era Destabilization Theory:

London was the centerpoint of the Industrial Revolution, laying the foundations for modern business and new innovations. No business means no money nor power. There would also be a lack of new inventions and ideas, with improvements to healthcare, machinery, human ethics, and important changes that humanity needed to sustain itself. Jack the Ripper and his Demonic Fog had completely halted the Revolution, with the citizens of London trapped inside their homes and completely isolated.

More than the Revolution, people have become too afraid of Jack. Lev was right in exploiting humanity’s fear in the unexplainable. Fear stunts development, turns people against each other. With Jack the Ripper’s identity completely unknown, nobody would be able to trust each other. Superstition and blame would divide humanity– constantly watching their back.

Humanity would be so desperate for the truth, they would make on their own in an attempt to conquer their fear. But people would be making their own truths and completely disregard what the world considers real. The Demonic Fog makes this even worse. With its ability to cause illusions, reality and fact only gets farther away. Lies become truth and truth becomes lies. In this deceitful fog, humanity loses their way to fear and lies.

As a result of the Singularity, humanity’s progress in business and industry has been halted by the icon of terror and obscurity, and has brought man closer to incineration.

Singularity Corrective Force Resolution:
Spoiler:
Surprisingly, the timeline is corrected easily. The Demonic Fog is interpreted as an advanced form of air pollution in London caused by neglected machines. Depending on the density of the “air pollution” and how long a person is exposed, it could cause delirium and hallucinations that could become permanent. The murders went on longer due to Jack the Ripper exploiting the fog. People who had been drained dry of magical energy translates to suffocation. It’s assumed by London that the fog finally dissipated after a few weeks due to either the machines finally breaking or the fog dispersing too thinly.

Regarding the murders, history called the incident in London to be a “witch hunt” to find Jack the Ripper and bring him to justice. It’s unknown how many people were actually killed by Jack, but what is known is that the large number of deaths were most likely caused by ordinary people motivated by their fear. It is also confirmed that there were copycat murderers, although it's unclear if they were criminals inspired by Jack or citizens who wanted to pass blame.

Despite many setbacks, the Industrial Revolution is able to continue. More than that, it seemed stronger than ever. Many people seemed to learn their lesson about the dangers of air pollution, which also inspired an early breakthrough of healthcare and medicine. Factory conditions were improved to prevent disregarded machines from causing another fog incident, and a reform for human work ethics and child labor were called. These new improvements inspired other countries to follow Britain’s example, and sought a commercial, but humanitarian advancement in human society.

But Jack the Ripper had already left his mark on the Industrial Revolution, becoming almost synonymous with this era. The whole world had watched in awe and dread at the destruction he had left in his wake. A mere murderer had almost brought an entire nation to its knees. In the end, Jack the Ripper went from a nation-known serial killer to a global symbol of murder and destruction without a face.

Author’s Note:
Spoiler:

Central Theme
The pursuit for the truth, and how fear and suspicion distorts it. Even with the Singularity solved, the true Jack the Ripper’s identity is still never found. Because of the obscurity behind his legend, it is easy to make many obviously different theories and interpretations of Jack. There are only the foundations of Jack’s existence, leaving who he is open to interpretation by the people. Even if the Ripper Suspects were just Heroic Spirits with Berserker Jack’s Spirit Origin installed, there is a slight chance that the Ripper Suspects were inspirations of what Jack could have been. This is the proof that if there is no truth, people will try to make their own.

This also takes into account the pronounced effect fear has on the truth. Fear leads to mistrust among people, and they will try to find a scapegoat in an attempt to find a comforting truth. Helena, Vlad, and Hyde were victims of this fear. Whether due to their infamous crimes prior, or because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, they were completely blamed for misdeeds that might have not been their doing. The Demonic Fog only made it worse, creating illusions that ranged from simple tricks to nightmarish imagery. As Lev said, fear pushes humans to blindly do stupid things. The truth becomes distorted by the primal emotion of terror, and people slip far away from the practical truth.

Hello everyone. It’s good to be back. London is finally here! After a lot of revision and drafting, I finally got to post this nightmare of a Singularity. And by nightmare, I mean near-impossible to write. The problem with writing mystery is it takes a lot of backtracking and trying to connect all elements to each other. I had never been so stressed from writing something that might not even be good in the end. By the time I was done writing this, I had almost reached the end of the month since the American Singularity. Thank god it’s done.

Despite complications, I am still proud of the ideas I wrote here. The Demonic Fog is one of the unchanged elements from the original London Singularity, although it has plenty of differences that serve the overall plot. I also made a headcanon that London is similar to Salem in that both are mystery-horror themed. Although, London has more emphasis on the mystery while Salem has more emphasis on the horror. Also, don’t be intimidated by the new design of the Singularity Sheet. I just wanted to make it look good while putting a unique design on it.

Jack the Ripper (all versions) is the main focus of the Singularity. If there is one person that comes to mind when thinking of Victorian London, it’s definitely this anonymous serial killer. Jack is the definition of mystery, being an unsolved fascination that has lasted for nearly a century. How Jack was able to kill at least 5 people and get away with it unidentified is astounding itself. It’s no surprise that Jack is one of the most infamous serial killers of all time. He is the perfect fit for a city-wide murder mystery, and having both the Ripper Suspects and the different versions adds to puzzle.

I think the two Servants I had the most fun writing about were Avenger Jack the Ripper and Assassin of the SeanceRose Mackenberg, moreso in the former. In regards to Assassin, ■■■■■■■Harry Houdini was originally meant to take her place. But then I stumbled across her by complete accident. Her story was so damn fascinating to read, especially considering her connection to ■■■■■■■Harry Houdini. Then I decided that Assassin was a way better choice due to her experience as a psychic fraud investigator, and how she would fit a lot better in a supernatural murder mystery. I will try to make a Servant Sheet of her later, but I am definitely looking forward to making it.

And now Avenger Jack, which is a Servant I am so proud of. IN FACT, I HAVE PUBLISHED MY FIRST EVER SERVANT SHEET OF AVENGER JACK ALONGSIDE THIS SINGULARITY, AND HAVE THE LINK IN THE CREDITS. As noted, this is the first time I have ever created my own Servant, and I feel I did a stellar job with her. In a nutshell, Avenger Jack is pretty much the reverse Assassin Jack. The latter is the amalgamation of London’s aborted children while the former is a random prostitute who lost her own unborn child by accident and angrily killed the 5 prostitutes for aborting their children. The vampire Phantom fused with her was just a personal touch, making her a pseudo-vampire Jack the Ripper. You may be wondering why I would make another version of Jack the Ripper. Well one, Jack the Ripper is meant to have different interpretations since nobody knows his identity, and two, there’s literally 12 versions of King Arthur, so don’t think you can pull that card on me!

I kind of noticed that the Demonic Fog is a bit similar to the Fog in Persona 4. Maybe because both groups are trying to reach out to the truth in a mystical fog, with its intent to blind people from the truth so they could have their own ignorant truth. Oh, and the fog is caused by an inhuman entity deciding humanity’s future and uses pawns who are disappointed in humanity. Not to mention the shadowy monsters that lurk inside the Fog, being dark manifestations of the truth or what could be the truth …… I knew there was a reason why I liked this Singularity.

On that self-criticizing note, what did you think? Was this a good mystery that made you put on your thinking caps? Or is it just a predictable messy flop? Be sure to leave your thoughts. One more thing, I have decided to try to make a deadline for publication. I WILL TRY TO PUBLISH A SINGULARITY EVERY MONTH. I nearly went over due to how difficult it was to write this, but I’m sure I will be able to meet my deadline.

Our next Singularity brings us to a nation overrun by monsters and beasts. The dead terrorize the living, the skies eclipsed by dragonfire, and villages and holy churches razed to the ground. How did things get this dire? It all starts with the death of a holy maiden…

The Fate Series
Where people die when they're killed, the Archer class really is made up of archers, and just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right.

Also, there are 12 different versions of King Arthur.

i really enjoyed reading this. I vaguely remember the singularity, but i found it mostly boring, you made it something interesting. The only thing that really stuck to me how weird the ending was, somehow Tesla went bonkers and kintoki and fox girl appear and it wasnt clear to me WHY. it all felt more like a character dumb than a fully coherent story.
The idea of using suspects is smart and every character had a purpose, so that is a strong rank up from the original. Using Holmes, the first US serial killer, instead of Holmes, the detective is a nice touch. We recently had two variants of Holmes in the CaS thread, but i get the appeal of using the reddit version, when it comes with sprites and all and that GLORIOUS beard. Tho i dont really get why Hohenheim planned on killing Assassin Jack and why her, because Assassin seems stronger than Avenger to me. And how Avenger became so dangerous to Chaldea to begin with.
still great work JD! Keep up the quality, looking forward to France and remember, quality over quantity, dont work under time pressure, it is ready when it is ready.

And when u have time, enlighten us what is going on inside your head when you create this singularities. Perhaps take notes how you worked on ur next project. One day I wanna do my own events and wanna learn from the likes of you.

Alright, so I got a few updates.

I am currently formulating plans for a Summer Event Singularity. This is probably gonna be my largest-scale project thus far, since I'll be making at least six Servants for this Singularity. The release of the Singularity proper will be the finale of this plan.

I also hope to release a Halloween Singularity this October. I have a premise for it, but I haven't built on it much.

In any case, if anyone is willing to collaborate with me on these ideas, feel free to shoot me a message.

That sounds really interesting. I'd like to see what it looks like when you complete it. Or we could just collaborate to finish it.

Thing is, I haven't even started it. Partly because I was working out the kinks inside my head, which was fine till this pandemic made its presence known inside my body, and partly because I couldn't complete the Servant (and Demon Pillar) sheets of the Servants (and Demon Pillar) I did want to sneak in.

That said, I do want to see it through, so collaboration... that sounds good. Where do we start?
Noob here. Sorry about that.

Name: Fifth Empire: The Global Country Ruled By The Dual Messiah
Subtitle: Singular Refracted Light
Lost Depth: C

Origin: 1640 A.D
Location: Portugal
King: King John/Sebastian
Crypter: Unknown
Fantasy Tree: Cigar

Backstory
ACT 1 - Domain of the Gods / Roman Pantheon
Once upon a time, the former gods of the Greek Pantheon, now fallen into the Roman Pantheon, discussed about the Lusíadas, sons and daughters of Lusus, the son/companion of Bacchus, Roman god of wine and fury, to whom Roman mythology attributed the foundation of Lusitania, the current lands of Portugal and partial Spain. A council of the Gods is called to decide whether or not the Portuguese should be able to reach their destination, India. Jupiter says yes, because it is predestined for them. The king of the gods affirms that since Viriatus and Sertorius, the fate (fado) of the brave Portuguese (strong people of Lusus) is to accomplish feats so glorious that they forget those of the previous empires (Assyrians, Persians, Greeks and Romans). Bacchus, however, disagrees because, if this is allowed, his own conquests in the East will be forgotten, overtaken by this people. But Venus sees the Portuguese as heirs to their beloved Romans and knows that it will be celebrated by them. A turmoil ensues, with the remaining Olympians taking sides with Bacchus or Venus, until the mighty Mars takes over, scaring Apollo aside. The lover of Venus, and admirer of the Portuguese warrior feats, remembers that not only is it already deserved that they can accomplish their feat, but Jupiter had already decided to grant this favor and should not go back on the word. The king of the gods agrees and closes the council. Unbeknownst to them, Bacchus would meddle with his son's descendants journey, interfering through various hardships against the Portuguese such as manipulating the moors to confront them or asking Neptune for help against them. However, his most impactful act against the child of Lusus was the activation of a secret tool to control the unregulated growth of Portugal in case his plans failed, that sealed the fate of Portugal twice in the past and will once more....

ACT 2 - Foundation of the Kingdom / King Afonso
After the fall of the Roman Empire, during the 5th Century the Iberian Peninsula was occupied by many Barbarian tribes, with the longest and most defining one to be the Visigoths. Afterwords, during the 8th Century, the Moors coming from Africa took advantage of internal conflicts from the Visigoths and occupied almost all of the Peninsula. Local people were able to stay on their land for a fee and their habits, Christians and Jews were tolerated. A group of Visigoth Christians resisted and traveled to the north, in the mountainous region of Asturias. There, led by Pelagius, they founded the Kingdom of Asturias and began to regain territories. This gradual process led to the birth of small kingdoms, which were extended as the conquests were successful. Thus were born the Kingdom of León, Navarra, Aragon, Castile and Galicia. Thus the Reconquista (reconquering) began.
At the end of the 11th Century, King Afonso VI of León handed over the government of the Portucalense County, formed in 868 between the Minho and Douro rivers, to Henry of Borgonha by marriage to his daughter Theresa de Leão. After the death of Count Henry, the Countess Theresa tried to widen her domains and obtain autonomy allied with the high Galician nobility against her half-sister Urraca de Leão and Castile. But she had to retreat and negotiate a treaty, the county remaining a vassal of the kingdom of León. Teresa had exercised the regency during the age of her son Afonso Henriques. But the interests of both soon clashed, when he opposed a Galician-Portuguese union. Theresa's favored position in relation to the Galician nobles and the indifference towards the noble and ecclesiastical Portucalenses originated the revolt that led Afonso Henriques to become a knight and start to live in Coimbra. He won the battle of São Mamede against the forces of her mother, took over the county government and concentrated his efforts on negotiations with the Holy See to achieve autonomy. At the same time it sought to expand its dominions, conquering territory to the Muslims, thus starting the Portuguese Reconquista.
The single most defining event of the foundation of the Kingdom of Portugal happened during the Battle of Ourique. Afonso Henriques, before heading into battle against the opposing Moors, the Portuguese sovereign had a vision of Jesus Christ surrounded by angels in the figure of the Custodian Angel of Portugal, assuring him that God was on his side and guaranteeing him the victory in combat. He advised the nobleman to leave the encampment alone when he heard the bell of the local chapel. Riding off he was surprised by a ray of light that showed him the sign of the cross and Jesus Christ on a crucifix. Afonso Henriques knelt in its presence and heard the voice of Christ, who told him he would defeat the Almoravids, which he, through courage and his faith, succeeded the following day. With that, Afonso Henriques was declared King and the Kingdom of Portugal was founded.

ACT 3 - Downfall of the Kingdom / King Sebastian I
Through the years to come, Portugal had grown, having gained more territory during the Reconquista and the Age of Discovery and flourishing as an Empire capable of surviving even thought it was caught in-between many conflicts with Castille, France and England, both naval and terrestrial. However, it was in the middle of the 16th Century that Portugal took its lasts steps into its downfall. With the death of their King, a problem arrived. Although there was not a lack of heirs, because of the marriage contract of D. Maria Manuela, sister of the deceased prince, with D. Filipe II of Spain, if there were no successors, the kingdom would pass to the son of this union, Carlos, occurring the union with Castile, which the Portuguese have always abhorred. However, a prince capable of solving that problem was born, prince Sebastian. Because he was an heir so expected to continue the Avis Dynasty, he became known as The Desired One. Since little, he was important for the independence to the country. He was declared King de jure by the age of 3 and de facto at the age of 14, with his grandmother Catarina of Áustria acting as his regent. Nonetheless, once he was of age, he started ruling Portugal. Although a kind King, he was too young and harbored great dreams of glory for Portugal, like his ancestors did with the Reconquista (driving away the muslims from the Iberian Peninsula) and the Crusades. After he took power, he devoted himself to his overriding ambition, reversing the policy of John III, which had been to withdraw from costly conquests. The Christian king, Sebastian I, had planned a crusade after Abu Abdallah asked him to help recover his throne. So he went with a troop to northern Morroco to fight in the Battle of Alcácer Quibir, a foolish idea because not only did they lost, King Sebastian I died at the age of 24, without an heir to the throne. Unfortunately, the death of their only heir lead to Portugal having a forced union with Spain, lasting 60 years of Iberian Union. Sebastian I is often referred to as The Desired (Portuguese: o Desejado) or The Asleep (Portuguese: o Adormecido), as the Portuguese people longed for his return to end the decline of Portugal that began after his death. He is considered to be the Portuguese example of the King asleep in mountain legend as Portuguese tradition states his return, in a foggy dawn, on Portugal's greatest hour of need. Alas, their desired King never returned.

ACT 4 - Return of the Kingdom / King John IV
80 years later, discontent was at its highest, due to the king of Spain raising Taxes on the Portuguese merchants, the Portuguese nobility beginning to lose its influence and government posts in Portugal being increasingly occupied by Spaniards. Ultimately, Philip III tried to make Portugal a Spanish province, meaning Portuguese nobles stood to lose all of their power. This situation culminated in a revolution organized by the nobility and the bourgeoisie, executed on 1 December 1640. Within a matter of hours and with popular support, John, then the 8th Duke of Braganza, was acclaimed as King John IV of Portugal claiming legitimate succession through his grandmother Catherine, Duchess of Braganza. Every Portuguese happily accepted him as the new king after the revolution. From Braganza to Algarve, Minho to Madeira, Lisbon to Macau, going to Brasil, Africa and India. A second Messiah has appeared in the place of the former Messiah, King Sebastian I. His accession led to a protracted war with neighboring Spain, a conflict known as the Portuguese Restoration War. The period from 1640 to 1668 was marked by periodic skirmishes between Portugal and Spain, as well as short episodes of more serious warfare, much of it occasioned by Spanish and Portuguese entanglements with non-Iberian powers. Spain was involved in the Thirty Years' War until 1648 and the Franco–Spanish War until 1659, while Portugal was involved in the Dutch–Portuguese War until 1663. In Spain, a Portuguese invasion force defeated the Spanish at Montijo, near Badajoz, in 1644. Finally, Through King John IV and his sons efforts, Portugal became independent with the recognition of Portuguese independence in 1668 and reached its Territorial Zenith. However, like all things, nothing lasts forever. With centuries passing, Portugal lost more and more power, losing its colonies and becoming a shadow of its former self. Thus, ends this chapter of Portugal's story.

ACT 4.5 - Lostbelt / Saver
In Pan Human History, Portugal should have fallen into decadence and become a shadow of its former self. However, in this Lostbelt, the Desired One returned. Bacchus' tool to control Portugal's unregulated growth had achieved formidable results on its first two interventions. On the first intervention, said tool took the form of a horse and, while being ridden by King Afonso, threw him onto the ground and ran away, leading to the King being captured and forced to abdicate part of the territories he conquered in the Reconquista to Castile as the price to be released. Its second intervention occurred when the possibility of an union of the Iberian kingdoms under Portuguese hegemony appeared. The tool once again took the form of a horse and tricked the heir of the throne and husband to the heiress of Castile and Aragon, resulting in him falling and dying, crushing forever that dream. However, the third intervention that occurred on the Pan Human History never worked in this Lostbelt. That is, the prevention of King Sebastian I returning. In this Lostbelt, the once Messiah returned and gave its power to the current Messiah. What caused the downfall of Portugal on Pan Human History never occurred. The first Messiah returned, something not achieved in regular history, while the second Messiah went into action with the Desired Ones power instead of being just the face of Portugal. Through their combined efforts, not only did the former territory get reclaimed, opposing countries got claimed as well. Finally the absolute turning point happened during the year of 1666, with King John IV, unlike Pan Human History, still being alive to witness the ultimate human despot to rule the world, in which it is possible to achieve the Fifth Empire.

Fifth Empire: A concept of a global Portuguese empire with spiritual and temporal power, based on an interpretation of Daniel 2 and the Book of Revelation, whose origins lay with António Vieira. The concept was re-popularized in the twentieth century with the publication of Mensagem by Fernando Pessoa in 1934.
The Fifth Empire is not a mere territorial empire. It is a spiritual and linguistic body which spreads throughout the entire world. It represents the ultimate form of fusion between material (science, reason, intellectual speculation) and spiritual knowledge: the occult, mystical speculation and Kabbalism. It is the pinnacle of all the work undertaken by the previous empires (according to old principle of the translatio imperii, the prophetic dream of Nabucodonosor II, told in Daniel 2, in which a statue with a golden head, arms and chest of gold, legs of iron and feet of bronze would be broken by a rock. This dream was the foundation for the thought of the past 4 empires being succeeded by a Fifth Empire.), which are the following under Pessoa's point of view:

First Empire - Ancient Greece, all knowledge and experience extracted from the ancient empires;
Second Empire - Roman Empire, expansion of the First Empire's culture and knowledge;
Third Empire - Christianity, fusion between the First and the Second Empires, with the absorption of several eastern elements (such as Judaism) - the Christian Moral;
Fourth Empire - Europe, spreading throughout the entire world the outcome of the previous empires and the Anglo-Saxon hegemony, its culture and the English-speaking world as a result of the British Empire - the English individualism.
The Fifth Empire, led by "the hidden one" (O Encoberto in the poem, an allusion to Sebastianism), will unite the entire world spiritually and culturally, led by the Portuguese Nation.
A different interpretation the first four empires were, according to Vieira, was, in order: the Assyro-Caldeans, the Persians, the Greeks and the Romans. The fifth was the Portuguese Empire. Nonetheless, a connection is made with Portugal through prophetic vision in which the first King had vision of Jesus saying "I did not appear to you in this way to add your faith, but to strengthen your heart in this conflict & found the principles of your Kingdom on solid stone", which António Vieira saw a connection with the dream of Nebuchadnezzar II.

Thus, King John/Sebastian dropped his
Sword
Rock
and the world became Portugal.

Servants: Similar to the Chinese Lostbelt, this Lostbelt has almost no concept of heroes, since their only hero is the King. However, because of that, only heroes similar to him got summoned. In this case, only heroes with King asleep in mountain attribute got summoned, who would oppose King Sebastians return and meddling with the affairs of the living. Example of "Kings asleep in mountain" are King Arthur, Charlemagne, Fionn mac Cumhaill, King David, Frederick I, etc...

Servants summoned in the Lostbelt:

Caster - Fernando Pessoa: First and Main Lostbelt Servant of this Lostbelts Crypter. Famous portuguese writer known for its Heteronyms, his main form of combat in this Lostbelt is creating an Heteronym of his Master and using Magick to invoke spirits and deities on to said Heteronym, creating a High Servant with conceptual advantage towards its King.

Caster - Aleister Crowley: Second and Secondary Lostbelt Servant of this Lostbelts Crypter. Occultist and founder of the religion Thelema, he was summoned because of its affinity with Fernando Pessoa and to boost his Heteronyms even further through Magick, invoking even stronger spirits and/or deities than what Fernando Pessoa is capable. Has ties with King Arthur.

???: A mysterious person, neither Servant nor Human, who aids the Crypter.

Saber - King Arthur (Prototype): A servant summoned by itself due to the possibility of a Beast appearing in this Lostbet.

Saber - King Sebastian: The historical King Sebastian, summoned by the World who ends up aiding Chaldea as a catalyst to summon other Servants.

King asleep in mountain Servants: Possible servants summoned by Chaldea, like Francis Drake, Fionn, William Tell, Vlad III.

Saver- King John/Sebastian: Lostbelt King, a composite character of John IV, the Restorer and King Sebastian, the two messiahs destined to bring forth the Fifth Empire. The last "person" on this Lostbelt aside from Crypter and Chaldea. Trough the power of the Fifth Empire, Saver summons representatives of the 4 past Empires to aid against Chaldea, a group called "The Four Pillars".

Four Pillars Who Hold the World: Kings Asleep in the Mountain Servants that represent each past empire. Although not all of them are the face of each Empire, Saver could only summon them due to the peculiar state in which the Throne of Heroes is in this Lostbelt:
Constantinus: He who represents the 4th Empire, Rome;
Theseus: He who represents the 3rd Empire, Greece;
Kay Khosrow: He who represents the 2nd Empire, Persia;
Nebuchadnezzar II: He who represents the 1st Empire, Assyria. A rather peculiar case, in which the servant is neither a King Asleep in the Mountain, nor truly Assyrian, but rather Babylonian. However, as the dreamer of the Fifth Empire, Nebuchadnezzar II fits as the foundation of it.

Additional notes: I would imagine that this Lostbelts theme of stagnation would be a world without differences. After the 5th empire is founded, the world becomes Portugal. However, by doing that, that means all culture becomes Portugal. Without differences, everything leads to stagnation. That's not all. Over time, concepts of different culture gets substituted by only Portuguese culture, other people would be substituted by Portuguese people. Eventually, it would go so far that it would destroy individualism, in which every Portuguese would be substituted by the truest Portuguese, their king, as a result of his "Quinto Imperio" Noble Phantasm being continuously active for centuries, going haywaire. A world that is Portugal, a Portugal that is only King John Sebastian. Furthermore, with his ascension to the throne, the world became slowly covered with mist, as if the world had been covered by King Sebastian. In this world , there is no truth, only the King.
In this Lostbelt, Chaldea, the Lostbelt King and Crypter are fighting on a 3-way war, due to the Crypter not being satisfied with how the Lostbelt turned into, seeking to use his First Casters Heteronym propriety to bring forth individuality towards the people of the Lostbelt, by being the Orthonym that controls the Heteronyms. If King John/Sebastian is a glass that brings forth a Singular Refracted Light, First Caster will be the prism that will bring forth a Rainbow.

Interesting. You're right it does come off as a bit of a riff on SIN, but there's some cool ideas here and the Refracted Light/Prism metaphor makes for some clever imagery. I guess my Ladislaus could be summoned in this Lostbelt too since he also has a "came back from death to defend his people" legend.
