A.D. 2054 Maddening Sea of Light, Xanadu
    Heretical Sage's Garden

    Servants of Alf

Kublai Khan|Ruler: He is the founder of the original Xanadu, an oppulent summer Palace later spoken of in many works of literature praising its beauty. He is summoned by the Baghdad Battery as the war's Overseer in order to enforce the rules of the Alf Grail War in an impartial manner.
George Washington|Lancer: The Servant summoned by the representative of the Clock Tower for the Alf Grail War, a grizzled War Veteran. George Washington, the first president of the United States of America and one of the country’s founding fathers. He and his colleagues wrote the Declaration of Independence and later the Bill of Rights. Their ideals and way of government would also go on to inspire many nations and become the poster child of modern democracies. As such, George Washington has been immortalized, not only through his accomplishments but the ideals which have been passed on to his successors.
Ponce De Leon|Saber: The Servant summoned by an ambitious Atlas Alchemist. Saber and his master want to research the supernatural properties of the Baghdad Battery and the seemingly unlimited magical energy it produces. Ponce de Leon is the Spanish explorer who discovered Florida and was famous for his quest in search of the Fountain of Youth. He is excited to fight for the power of the River Alf, which is said to hold the secret to immortality and great power.
Lee Harvey Oswald|Archer: The man who assassinated US President John F. Kennedy... or was he? Incidents such as this always garner a certain amount of suspicion and there are many conspiracy theories that surround the truth of what happened the day the president was shot. The muddled perception of this incident in the minds of the populace caused Archer to be summoned as a naively idealistic man who dreams of being some sort of “Hero” that leaves a mark on history. Exactly the type to be easily coerced by Soviet Agents into assassinating the US President! He is still quite the marksman due to his time in the army, but he has also gained a conceptual advantage against people in positions of power or against beings of seemingly insurmountable power. Archer's master is an unassuming journalist dragged into the war while visiting Xanadu.
Neil Armstrong|Rider: Armstrong was the first man on the moon, the first to step on soil completely foreign to the planet Earth. His famous words “That’s one small step for a man, and one giant leap for mankind” have been immortalized as a symbol of exploration, discovery, and the human will to push forwards, and Armstrong’s name has become almost synonymous with not only the Apollo Missions but Space Travel in general. A “pioneer of the Stars” in every sense of the word. His master is an MIT Student who aspires to lead humanity into the next age of Space Exploration.
Nicholas Flammel|Caster: The famous 14th century alchemist who is said to have successfully produce the Philosopher’s stone and become immortal through the Elixir of Youth. His master is an Atlas Alchemist hired by the CIA and a faction of American Mages. He is tasked with investigating the supernatural properties of the River Alf and bringing samples back to the US. As such, he gladly encourages Flammel’s research into creating an Elixir of Youth using the river’s water. However, they end up being the cause of a great cataclysm when Abdul and his master hijack Flammel’s project to corrupt the River Alf.
Dorian Gray|Assassin: The protagonists of the novel A Portrait of Dorian Gray. He is a man who seeks eternal youth and discovers a way to connect the aging of his body to a painting. He is the first to get a glimpse into the War's true nature and teams up with Chaldea to undo the Horizon Gate. His master is a representative of the Holy Church trying to investigate the motivations of the other factions, of particular note to him is Libera Echter Vondgren, the war's instigator.
Abdul Al Hazred|Berzerker: "The Mad Arab" Abdul Al Hazred is the author of the Necronomicon, an encyclopedia that contains knowledge of forbidden rituals, lost civilizations, supernatural creatures, and the monstrous Great Old Ones and Outer Gods who reside outside our reality. He is a character created by H.P. Lovecraft, the prolific Cosmic Horror author, based on an unnamed monk who wrote the mysterious grimoire and gazed upon the Outer Gods. Abdul has been driven mad by the whispers of the Great Old Ones and the knowledge he wrote down. As such, he is become a puppet for carrying out their wills. His master is a Russian Mage tasked with sabotaging any foreign attempts to harvest resources or knowledge from the Great Spirit River and bring back samples themselves.
Mary Curie|Foreigner: A servant summoned by Abdul Al Hazred as part of his plans of corrupting the Great Spirit River. She is the famous chemist who discovered Uranium and won a Nobel Prize for her research on radioactive elements. Something is not quite right with her though. Something has latched itself onto her Saint Graph and she shares the same eerie glow that has begun appearing in plant life near the river.

    Elysium Society

Libera Echter Vandergren: A member of the Elysium Society and the "manager" of this Horizon Gate. He used the AQUARIUS System and to shape this patchwork future in his image. He is a laid back, easy going person who believes that "going with the flow" of things will always lead to getting what he wants. He is known for his rebellious streak and dislike of authority. In the past, Libera started a small cult in an attempt to share the secrets of his magecraft with others. After they got in several skirmishes with law enforcement, the Clock Tower got involved and Libera was ousted from the Association. He met Lou Rgisgaia while on the run, and he has been hiding out in Oasis Classroom ever since.
Sun Wukong|Avenger: Also known as the “Great Sage Equal To Heaven” or the “Monkey King”, Sun Wukong was a powerful immortal who wreaked havoc throughout the court of Heaven in Chinese Mythology. He was one of the protagonists of the famous “Journey To The West” as one of the monks who followed Xuanzang. Libera intends to power up Sun Wukong and have him open a hole into the Reverse side of the World, hoping to harness the power of the gods and phantasmal beasts which lurk within to further Man Kind's prosperity.

    Chaldea Security Organization

Ritsuka Fujimaru: One of the two Master candidates of Chaldea. An average person whose only experience using magecraft is provided by the Mystic Code provided by Chaldea for field missions. He and his Demi-Servant Mash arrive in Xanadu and team up with the Master of Assassin to investigate the true nature of the Alf Grail War and Libera's plans for it.
Mash Kyrielight|Shielder: The Servant of Ritsuka Fujimaru. She is a Demi-Servant who was merged with Sir Galahad of the Round Table. Though she can no longer draw on Galahad's full power, she makes up for it using the Ortinax Armor to fight. Still, she is mainly geared towards defense and support.
Kadoc Zemlupus: A former member of the Crypters, the team originally created to resolve the Singularities of the Human Order Incineration. He has a constant desire to prove himself capable of "saving humanity" after having lost the chance to do so in the past. He and his Servant Casanova are also sent to Xanadu to investigate the faint traces of foreign magical energy in the Great Spirit River.
Giacomo Girolamo Casanova|Assassin: The Servant of Kadoc Zemplupus. Casanova is a famous 18th Century author and adventurer infamous for his exagerrated tales of romance and intrigue.
Schrodinger's Cat (Olga-Marie Animusphere)|Moon Cancer: A Pseudo-Servant using the body of Chaldea's former Director as a vessel. The embodiment of Henry Schrodinger's famous thought experiment explaining the concept of Quantum Superposition. She is equipped with the Disentanglement Cannon, a powerful Noble Phantasm created with the help of H.G. Wells to undo the Quantum Time-Lock bound to the future by the OOPArts and AQUARIUS.

    Key Noble Phantasms:

    Distillation of the Fifth Element
    「Alchemil Magnum Opus」

A representation of Nicholas' greatest achievement, the creation of the Philospher's Stone and the Elixir of Youth. It is not an instantaneous creation but requires several days to complete, using pure, unpoluted water as a base and following a simplified version of the original process of creating the Elixir. Different types of water will affect not only the speed and efficiency of the creation process and the final product. The Elixir itself grants its user an increased lifespan and heals them of all sickness and injury. In Xanadu, Nicholas uses the waters of Xanadu's river as the base solution.
Fell a Tree, Fell an Empire
    「E Pluribus Unum」

George Washington's Noble Phantasm that represents both the famous anecdote of him chopping down a cherry tree on his family farm and the concept of overcoming an insurmountable foe and attaining freedom, like the revolutionary war. The stronger the foe, the harder they fall. George's Axe will deal more damage the stronger the oppoent, and then cut them down to the "roots", leaving absolutely no traces behind.
    Innocent Assassination
    「Paranoid Shot-Fatal」

Lee Harvey Oswlad's Noble Phantasm which embodies the concept of a perfectly concoted conspiracy. Framed? Innocent? Guilty? Once the shot is dealt, the true suspect's identity becomes muddled and shared among those present. The perfect distraction, no? Additionally, it's a shot that is guaranteed to hit the target in their weakest physical point.
    Usurp Heaven and Earth
    「Ruyi Jingu Bang」

Sun Wukong's main weapon, a size changing staff that used to be a pillar in the palace of the Western Sea Dragon. Libera intends to imbue Sun with the power of all the defeated servants in the Alf Grail War and use the staff to pierce a hole into the Reverse Side of the World in Xanadu.
    Light of Uncertainty
    「Disentanglement Cannon」

One of Olga-Marie's Noble Phantasm created in collaboration with H.G. Wells. It's a weapon that makes use of the idea of Quantum Superposition, destroying the concept of a guaranteed fate. Essentially, it was created to undo the Horizon Gates, patchwork futures that have been forced onto human history.

    Future Imperfect
After returning from Singularity A, Chaldea manages to successfully repel the Mages Association's scheming. Though the mood is much more disturbing as the events of Singularity A are brought to attention, most importantly of which being the involvement of the Elysium Society in the Singularity. Investigations into their whereabouts are held for the next few months, but they seemed to have completely disappeared from the face of the Earth, leaving no traces. Soon, records of their existence begin to vanish friom both writing and memory. Soon enough, strange events begin occuring around the globe. Reports of memory problems, disappearing monuments, natural disasters, and other unpredictable catastrophes. The light of Civilization in the CHALDEAS Simulation begins glitching and with some investigation, Da Vinci and Wells deduce that the present is being changed by the Future. This is soon confirmed as two Quantum Time-Locks are detected by Chaldea's monitors. Both are set decades in the future. Wells speculates this as the results of Elysium's experiments and modifies the Rayshifting devices for Future Travel according to the specs of his own Time Machine. Thus begins Chaldea's next big mission: Resolve the Advent Order Usurpation and undo these fantastical futures forced onto history by Elysium.
    A World Overflowing with Treasure
Libera isn't the type to look forwards too far, so the Horizon Gate he created is rather simple. His vision for a prosperous mankind is one with access to a vast amount of recourses. But from where does this plentiful harvest spring? Libera sets the ruins of Kublai Khan's oppulent summer palace as his seat of power and uses AQUARIUS and the Baghdad Battery to create a modern version of the resplendant capital based on the description of Xanadu from Colleridge famous poem and accounts of the city from Marco Polo's records. The Baghdad Battery fills the rivers of the land with immense magical energy creating the Great Spirit River, Alf, which acts as the city's source of prosperity.
    The Great Occult War
The River Alf’s growth causes magical energy to contaminate the surrounding bodies of water along with patches of the Pacific and Indian Oceans via undersea vents and caves. When various governments discover these patches of magical energy and their potential for the future, a war of espionage and subterfuge over these pockets of magical energy begins. The Clock Tower and Atlas Institute intervene in the conflict to prevent the complete reveal of magecraft and the potential degradation of mystery causing the Great Occult War to escalate.
    The Alf "Grail" War
Distressed by the chaos caused by the Great Occult War, Libera does what he does best and improvises. Libera acquires a Stone Egg and connects it to the Spirit River as a form of Lesser Grail, setting in motion his own sup-species Grail War. He contacts the various factions of the Great Occult War and invites them to send representatives to fight for complete control over the Spirit River and of course, a single wish. He advertises it as essentially a quick and easy way to end the Great Occult War and further humanity's progress without causing too much widespread damage. Of course, he demands them to keep the details of this ritual as secret as possible. To help enforce this, he also invites representatives from the Mages Association and the Holy Church to participate as well. Of course the Association is aware of Libera's reputation and participates in hopes of being close enough to him to reign him in should things go awry. Of course in any Grail War, there are always stragglers given Command Seals to fill in the numbers: An inquisitive journalist and an archeologist mage whom Libera invited in hopes of using as an agent.

    Sanctum of Summer
    Special Administrative Zone-Xanadu

A city built on the ruins of Kublai Khan's opulent summer palace. Xanadu is a city founded by Libera of the Elysium Society as the growth point of his Horizon Gate. It is a technologically advanced metropolis reknowned for its state of the art medicine, abundance of natural recourses, powerful leylines, and high concentration of magical energy that seems to empower and envigorate its residents (whether they are aware of it or not). As such, it has become a popular site to visit for medical researchers, alchemists, and those with an interest in the spiritual. This city blessed by heaven is the background for an illegal Holy Grail War that is more than meets the eye.

    Great Spirit River, Alf
The river that runs through Xanadu and the source of its supernatural properties. It originates from a cavern beneath the Summer Palace and has a deep connection the Baghdad Battery, the OOPArt that keeps this patchwork future stable.

    Summer Palace
The main administrative building of Xanadu. It was inspired by the original palace where Kublai Khan lived and includes a lush garden, history museum, living quarters for the mayor, and a mysterious temple that no one is allowed to enter.

    Domed Temple
This closed off, high-security building acts as Libera's base while in Xanadu. While he is not the city's official leader, as its founder, he is considered a VIP and was granted this small temple to live in. The ground floor contains a luxurious entrance hall, dining room, and living quarters all fit for a king. The uppor floor contains Libera's workshop, and the lower floor leads to an underground chamber where the Baghdad Battery is hidden.

    Water Treatment Facility
A facility for treating sewage water and for managing the supernatural components of the Spirit River for safe distribution in the city's water supply. It is hijacked by Berzerker and his master and becomes their base of operations throught he duration of the Grail War.

    Biological Research Lab
A large laboratory for researching the Spirit River's effects on living things and finding beneficial uses for its supernatural properties. It also houses pure samples of the Spirit River's water, which is normally heavily regulated due to its incredibly potent nature. Caster and his master disguise themselves as employees and use a small apartment near the facility as their hideout.

    Temple of Plenty
A Bhuddist temple located on the outskirts of the city. For the duration of the war, it serves as Ruler's base of operations and a refuge for defeated masters.

    Oswald the Rabbit
Ritsuka and Kadoc arrive in Xanadu close to the Summer Palace in the middle of the day and end up causing a ruckus. After getting chased by guards, they hideout in an abandoned building which becomes their base while in the Horizon Gate. Not long after, at night, they are attacked by Kublai Khan who doesn't want them to interfere in the war. Kublai proves quite a hassle to deal with and while fleeing him, the two run into a man in a Rabbit Costume being chased by slimy creatures later revealed to be Shoggoths. This turn out to be Archer, Lee Harvey Oswald. After helping Archer deal with them, Ritsuka and Kadoc meet Archer's master, a journalist who explains to them what's going on after seeing their command seals. He mentions that he was caught by surprise while investigating something in the sewers and proceeds to share some of the results of his investigations. Some of this include strange noises heard near the entrances into the sewers, an incident at the water treatment plant that was covered up, and the arrival of some American researcher to the Biological Research Lab. For the next few days, Ritsuka, Kadoc, and Archer's master begin investigating the strange events happening.

The Light that Fell From Heaven
Abdul Al Hazred and Nicholas Flamel meet shortly before the official start of the Alf Grail War and agree to collaborate their efforts to research the Great Spirit River. Abdul and his master also discover that Nicholas intends to use the river as a foundation for creating his Noble Phantasm, the Elixir of Life. The two hijack the Biological Research Lab and the Water Treatment Plant to gain access to samples of the Spirit River's water. As Abdul's sanity begins slipping , he kills Flamel and uses the Necronomicon to taint the Elixir solution, contaminating it with samples of an extraterrestrial seed, the Color Out Space. The Color begins to spread through the Spirit River, slowly draining life from plants and eventually even people and animals who drink enough contaminated water. Eventually, the war is halted as the Color's influence begins mutating the plant life and even the some of the infected people. Soon, a "Zombie" outbreak fills the streets of Xanadu forcing the surviving masters to team up to survive. Ruler even joins in once he realized the situation has gone out of hand.
    Blooming Flower of Madness
Near the tail end of the war, Abdul notices that the energy of the defeated servants is split between the Color Out of Space and... something else. So, he summons Mary Curie and merges her with the seeds of the Color to protect them from whatever else is collecting the energy of the defeated servants. He also sends Curie out to defeat the remaining servants in order to collect their energy for the Color directly. In a similar bid as Abdul, Libera prematurely awakens Sun Wukong using a Command Seal and sends the powered up servant out to fight. Sun is very powerful but overly confident and while he manages to "defeat" the rampaging Curie, she manages to latch on to him in her last moments. The Color Out of Space, hibernating inside Curie, uses the accumulated energy of both her and Sun to awaken in its full form, absorbing the recently summoned Avenger in the process.

    Fiery Rebirth From Void
The battle against the Color Out of Space is an arduous one not only due to its size but due to the amount of energy it has accumulated while in hibernation. Eventually however, Chaldea teams up with George Washington and his master to deal a finishing blow by using George's Noble Phantasm to cut The Color at its roots. However, this victory is only momentary as Libera, in a last ditch attempt to salvage his plans, He uses up two of his command seals to call out to the seemingly half-dead Sun Wukong within the core of the beast. Using one of Sun’s Noble Phantasms based on his many successful attempts at reaching immortality, and an embodiment of his name’s true meaning, Libera brings Sun Wukong back to full power and has him absorb all the power accumulated by the Color Out of Space to ascend into a higher form. Then and there, Sun Wukong tries to use his power to puncture a hole into the Reverse Side of the World like Libera planned using his Ruyi Jingu Bang and the combined energy of the defeated servants. However, since there are still some servants remaining, Sun isn't at full power. Kublai, realizing that Libera never intended to grant the wishes of the War's winner, helps Chaldea fend off Sun Wukong's attack and uses his Noble Phantasm to pacify Sun's rampage. While Kublai and the other Servants distract Sun, Archer uses his Noble Phantasm to shoot a perfect shot at Libera's heart amidst the chaos. With Libera and Sun taken care of, the Chaldeans head down to the chamber beneath the Domed Tent and use the Dissentanglement Cannon to unravel the forced Quantum Time-Lock surrounding Xanadu's existence, returning the future to its once uncertain state. While the city of Xanadu remains as one of many possibilities, all the anomalies brought about by the Baghdad Battery and all connected to it disappear, leaving just a normal city and and a small flu outbreak in place of the zombie apocalypse.
    Horizon Gate Cleared! Possibilities Established

"Heh? Are you seriously gonna try and stop me? You're welcome to try but I make it my mission to stick it to the man. If you get in my way, I'll charge at you with MAXIMUM power!"

    Name: Libera Echter Vandegren
Aliases: Free Bird, Rebel in White, Super Adapter, Cockroach
    Age: 46
    Height/Weight 185 cm/ 64 kg
    Countery of Origin: Finland
    Element: Earth
    Origin: Survival
    Circuit Quality: A
    Circuit Quantity: C+
Affiliations: Department of Botany (Former), Prague Association (Former), Elysium Society
    Servant: Sun Wukong (Avenger)
    Command Seal:

    Background
The Vandegren family was a North European Family whose magecraft centered around Druidic arts mixed with the warrior culture of Scandinavian Vikings and the ascetic monks from the middle ages who suffered as a way of attaining penance. In an effort to reach the root, they wished to understand the place where life and the truths of the world run abundant and self-evident: nature. They believed that living life without the conveniences of technology would let them understand the root of all life and thus the root of all magic as well. Of course, they took this in a very tough, warrior like manner, choosing survive in the harshest environments they can, building homes using nothing but the trees and rocks around them, using nothing but the simplest tools or their bare hands, and going only the bare minimum when it came to modern civility. For years the family lived in a large, secluded, wooden manor in the mountains of Scandinavia. However, in modern day, the family's way of life has stagnated, becoming more rigid, controlled, and refined, ironically devoid of the same harsh unpredictability of their ancestors.
This was the family that a young Libera was born to, one he found increasingly troublesome as he grew up with a rebellious, carefree personality. Once he came of age, he rejected his role as the family's heir and ran from home. He threw himself into the streets of Finland as a vagabond, and eventually travelling travelling around the world wandering and roaming around where the wind took him. He threw himself into learning whatever random bits of Magecraft he could find, got into fights, did drugs, and essentially lived a reckless lifestyle and powering through any consequences it brought onto him through sheer force of will and brute strength. This is what Libera saw as the true essence of his ancestor's way of life adapting to the conveniences of the modern world. He eventually wished to help others "stick it to the man", becoming a hired revolutionary working for various rebel groups and even starting his own cults which has required intervention from the Mage Association from time to time. This has earned Libera a place on the Associations "Most Wanted List". He was last seen in Italy working with a crime family, but left after being approached by Lou Rgisgaia of the Elysium Society. There have been rumors of him appearing in various places around the world ever since, but they have been unconfirmed.

    Personality
Libera is a hot headed, carefree person with a tendency for getting into fights and arguments with people. He does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants and anyone who tries to stop him will face his wrath. However, he can also be slothful and self-assured, regressing to a simple minded, reactionary mind set once his schemes have been set. This, combined with his mind set of “going with the flow” also means that his plans tend to be vague, disorganized, and usually only consist of a very simple plan with situational back-up plans that rarely come into play. He works best when supported by the other members of Elysium or someone more organized.

    Magecraft
    Physiology of the Saint
    Nirvana
An application of Libera’s Origin of Survival which represents his nigh unshakeable force of will and his knack for surviving harsh environmental conditions. Using his knowledge of Eastern Alchemy and Druidic arts, Libera has turned his own body into a miniature alchemical factory. Over the years, he has consumed various drugs, plants, and materials with deep mystical connotations in order turn himself “superhuman”. Jumping incredible heights, incredible physical strength, improved vision and mental capacity, and more. Libera has even been seen breathing fire and healing wounds. Simply put, at least physically, his body is difficult to destroy.
    Self Metallurgy
    Metallica
A defensive application of his first ability. Using alchemy with the substances inside his body as the materials and his own skin as the "catalyst", he can change the chemical composition of his skin, usually into different metals. He can, with enough concentration, turn into different elements as well, but only parts of his body, lest he lose his form all together.
    New Age Ghost Parade
    Black Sabbath
Libera's application of the Malagasy concept of "Tromba", similar to the work of spirit mediums, where one either allows themselves or is forced to be possessed by ancestral spirits. People caught in a "Tromba" are usually said to move in a certain manner, like in a trancelike dance, mimmicking the likeness of the dead. In combination with his origin of Survival, he can temporarily take on the properties of a "ghost", as if adapting his body to its new cohabitant. Of course, due to the nature of this ability, this state only lasts for up 30 seconds, and any further is dangerous. Additionally, Libera needs to drink a special alcoholic concoction to induce this state.
    Extra Information
    Miscellaneous Skills
Libera is a skilled martial artist and has an intimate knowledge of biology and medicinal herbs. He also has an acute understanding of how Social Hierarchies and how to tear them down. Despite all this knowledge and intellect, he is also care-free and a not very proactive once he’s satisfied.

    Maddening Sea of Light
    Xanadu
At first Libera doesn't intervene too much in Chaldeas actions in Xanadu, believing that they will be caught in the schemes and plots of the various factions participating in the Alf Grail War and relying on the Ruler servant overseeing the war to act on his behalf. However, once he notices the danger in Abdul Al Hazred's plans involving the Color Out of Space, he intervenes himself to drive Abdul away from the water treatment plant. He doesn't make much of an appearance again until the Color Out of Space causes a zombie outbreak and Abdul's summoned Foreigner Servant begins picking off the remaining servants to feed to the Color. After the Color Out of Space's defeat, he uses 2 Command Seals to activate Sun Wukong's self-revival Noble Phantasm and strengthening the power of his Ruyi Jingu Bang. When Oswald manages to exposes a weakpoint in Libera's defenses and Kublai Khan repels Sun Wukong's super charged attack, Libera and Sun fight Chaldea in a stand off to their last breaths, going down in a blaze of glory.

Far away, in a valley lush with natural recourses, there once existed a mighty civilization.
Life carries on and then in an instant, is snuffed. The once mighty kingdom vanished seemingly without a trace.
Yet legacies remain and with it potential, prosperity, and most importantly of all Curses are passed on.
The adventurous Sailor King returns with a treasure and with it, a legend. Onwards to the Promised End, together!

    Notes
And it's finally here! I was kinda nervous to put this up and I kept revising it to find the right format for presention, but I decided to stick with the simplest(?) path in the end. I had a lot of fun writing Xanadu, though it took me a while to do more with the generic Holy Grail War concept. It was a tough job picking the Servants and since at first I wanted some of them to be related to the location or to Journey to the West because of Sun Wu kong, but I scrapped that and had them all fit a theme instead. That being "the search for immortality". Oh for those confused about the weird pick for Archer, I based him off of the interpretation of Lee found in the manga Billy Bat cause it was so interesting to me. I'm starting to get a rough idea of what I want for Horizon Gate 2, and hopefully this time the Servant on the banner has more of a role than Sun did in Xanadu.

    ...

For the entirety of human history, the sun is the only constant phenomenon that can be observed.

    The sun rises.
    The sun sets.

Once again, on the farthest horizon, its glorious light rises.
Once more, at the edge of the world, its bounteous warmth sets.

The sun heralds the present into the future.
It brings the light of today into the night of yesterday.

"Surely tomorrow, as always, the sun will rise."
Such is the only absolute certainty there is in this world.

    ...

However, in these lands, that has not always been the case.

Once, it is said, the Sun had only half its brightness, and there was little distinction between night and day.
In the end, only the all consuming darkness of the night remains.

Once, it is said, the illumination of the Sun did not bring wisdom, and instead promotes ignorance and stagnation.
In the end, the winds of change swept away the world's frail rationality.

Once, it is said, the Sun lacked its magnificent warmth, and it failed to nourish abundance and prosperity.
In the end, everything was incinerated by the flaming rain of dissatisfaction.

Once, it is said, the Sun shined with an overflowing radiance, and its light oppressively reached everything.
In the end, sentimentality drowned all things in a great deluge of grief and guilt.

    ...

One after another, the Suns departed, and a new one takes their place.

When the fifth Sun finally appeared, the People of the Sun decided to sacrifice everything.
They sacrificed their Gods. They sacrificed themselves. They sacrificed their enemies.
All to ensure that the Sun will never again vanish.

However, this new Sun could not be sated.
It demanded more than just the offering of flesh. It needed something beyond just the sacrifice of blood.

In Proper Human History, the War God Huitzilopochtli is the Sun of the Fifth Cycle.
In this world, however, a different god has taken up the role of the Fifth Sun. It was the Death God Mictlāntēcutli.

In Proper Human History, the Winged Serpent Quetzalcoatl brought back only the bones of Humanity from the underworld.
In this realm, however, the Prime Species from all the previous Sun Cycles were resurrected with the Authority of the Lord of Mictlan.

This was the divergent point of this Lostbelt.

    ...

In this Lostbelt, Humanity has never been sole Prime Species. Because here there are Four Prime Species ruling over four different Worlds.
All four of them possess different Special Principles, Special Collective Consciousness, Special Common Sense, and Special Orders.

    The Nahui-Ocelotl Species of Felines.
    The Nahui-Ehecatl Species of Primates.
    The Nahui-Quiahuitl Species of Avians.
    The Nahui-Atl Species of Pisces.

Although these Species are fundamentally opposed down to their very manner of existence, they still have one thing in common.
—Their Life exist to be offered to the altar of the Death Sun.

    ...

You know, because I definitely am going to be sniped by LB7, I'll just say that I'm discarding this Mictlan Lostbelt and just think of a new one.

    'pats back'

    I know the feeling.

Imagine praying and hoping they wouldn't just throw the Aztecs in the middle of South America, only for them to do it anyway.

    Feels bad.

lol yeah, I still had faith that the Lostbelt located nowhere within Mexico would not be centered around the Aztecs. Guess I was dead wrong.

It cuts like a knife... well, the only hope now is to see if they will throw us a bone and give one or two proper south-america servants.

A.D. 2114 Valley of Critical Collapse, (Neo) Indus
    March to the Promised End

4 Machine Kings/Horsemen of the Apocalypse

Horseman of War:Leo Tolstoy-Agni|Saber: The Machine King in charge of protecting Neo-Indus' borders from invasion and neutralizing foreign threats. It's a mechanical body possessed by the Heroic Spirit Leo Tolstoy, famed author of War and Peace and a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. His flames burn through all weaponry and pacifies even the harshest battlefields. He has been granted the power of Agni, a Hindu god of Fire, by the OOPArt.
Horseman of Conquest:Rudyard Kipling-Vayu|Archer: The Machine King in charge of enforcing the law within Neo-Indus and is often found leading Diplomatic Missions as well. Despite her appearance, this machine is possessed by the Heroic Spirit Rudyard Kipling, an author renowned for his imaginative writing but who remains controversial for his support of British Imperialism. It seems as if the manufacturer was inspired by Kipling's poem Mandalay for the Machine King's body. She has been granted the power of Vayu, a Hindu god of the Wind and Life, by the OOPArt
Horseman of Famine:Charles Dickens-Ishana|Caster: The Machine King in charge of managing Neo-Indus' natural recourses and managing the lesser automatons. It's a mechanical body possessed by the Heroic Spirit Charles Dickens, whose works spoke much on the struggles of the working class and the impoverished. He has also been granted the power of Ishana, a Hindu god of Death, Birth, and Time, by the OOPArt.
Horseman of Death:Mary Shelley-Nirriti|Lancer: The leader of the Machine Kings and head of the R&D department, tasked with the manufacturing of new Automatons as well as the management of the Power Grid. She is possessed by the Heroic Spirit Mary Shelley, the author of the famous horror novel Frankenstein. She has been granted the power of Nirriti, a Hindu demi-god of Death and Decay.

    Elysium Society

Sinbad|Rider: The famous Sailor from the 1001 Arabian Nights. He is the Servant of Ark-Elyse Phatia and rules over Neo-Indus alongside her. He has been leading missions to the ruins of the Indus River Valley Civilization to recover the OOPArts after each iteration of Neo-Indus faced collapse. Alongside Machine King Kipling, he leads the missions for the expansion of the Neo-Indus Empire, either through trade and diplomacy, or conquest and war depending on the situation. His Noble Phantasm has helped the Empire amass vast riches and has earned him the epither "God of Fortune" among the ranks of the army.
Ark-Elyse Phatia: A member of the Elysium Society and the ruler of Neo-Indus alongside Sinbad. She's a person who admires culture and the humanities, and can often be described as being stuck in the atmosphere of the Renaissance period in terms of over all disposition. Her interests lead her to create Neo-Indus as an place where humanity could focus on advancing their knowledge and culture while Machines handled most hard labor.

    Chaldea Security Organization

Ritsuka Fujimaru: One of the two Master candidates of Chaldea. An average person whose only experience using magecraft is provided by the Mystic Code provided by Chaldea for field missions. After the Machine Kings go rogue, he and Mash stay in the capital of Neo-Indus to fight quell the rampaging automatons and prevent Machine King Dickens and Shelley from assembling the Ultimate Weapon.
While Ritsuka and Mash are protecting the capital from the Machine Kings, Kadoc and Casanova answer Phatia's distress signal from the northern border.
Giacomo Girolamo Casanova|Assassin: The Servant of Kadoc Zemplupus. Casanova is a famous 18th Century author and adventurer infamous for his exagerrated tales of romance and intrigue.
Schrodinger's Cat (Olga-Marie Animusphere)|Moon Cancer: A Pseudo-Servant sharing a body with Chaldea's former Director.

    Others

John Titor: A mysterious time traveler. He has been travelling to the Horizon Gates chasing after an "old friend" and stayed in Indus after hearing rumors of a mysterious Sailor Heroic Spirit being present. He allies himself with Chaldea but seems to cautiously distant and jumpy at times. His Servant is Alter-Ego Class Saint Germaine, though this one doesn't seem to be the one from the World Fair Singularity.
Count of Saint Germaine|Alter-Ego: The enigmatic nobleman who has shown up numerous times throughout European history. Is he an immortal, a time traveler, an alchemist, a supernatural creature, or just some swindler? None can truly be sure and this version of him refuses to give a definite answer. He has contracted with John Titor, so it's likely this Saint Germaine isn't the one from Singularity A... is it? You can never be too sure with this guy.
Jamshid|Caster (Grand Candidate): Considered one of the greatest kings in history. He is a King from Persia who ruled as part of the mythical Pishdadian dynasty. His seat of power is considered to be the ancient city of Persepolis where he brought many innovations in math, science, agriculture and more. He is said to be able to view all the textures of the world through his seven-ringed cup. Once he grew too arrogant and began seeing himself as a god, he was defated and usurped by Zahhak.

Hannibal Barca|Rider: The famous Carthaginian general who lead a siege on the walls of Rome with his war elephants. He has been summoned by the Counter Force to help destabilize the Horizon Gate and protect the neighboring countries from Neo-Indus' expansion.
Alan Quatermain|Archer: The famous fictional adventurer and big game hunter. He was summoned by the Counter Force to destabilize the Horizon Gate and keep an eye on the OOPArts. He is summoned near the ruins of Mohenjo Daro upon first arriving.

    Key Noble Phantasms:

    Elevator of the Layered Cosmos
    「Jam-e Jahan Nama」

Jamshid's Noble Phantasm, a seven ringed cup that allows him to travel between the textures of the world when fully powered. With the help of Saint Germaine, this Noble Phantasm becomes to the key to containing the curse affecting Neo-Indus.
    Time-Warped World Wonder
    「Fort Chambord」

Count of Saint Germaine's Noble Phantasm which uses his nature as being of uncertain temporal origin to strengthen the mystery of targets by passing them through a pocket dimension where the present, past, and future converge. Saint Germaine uses this aspect of his Noble Phantasm combined with Jamshid's Noble Phantasm to temporarily send the capital of Neo-Indus into an isolated pocket dimension.

    Name: Sinbad
    Class: Rider
    Alternate Class: Saber, Ruler
    Source: Literature
    Region: Middle East
    Alignment: Chaotic Good
    Master: Ark-Elyse Phatia
    Strength: C Agility: B Luck: A
    Endurance: C Mana: D Noble Phantasm: A

    Background:
The famous Sailor spoken of in the One Thousand and One Nights. The story goes that a poor porter named Sinbad stops outside the window of a house to lament on his misfortune when the house's wealthy owner, also named Sinbad, overhears him and recounts the perilous tales of his seven voyages at sea. Sinbad the Sailor was once a daring man who would travel all over the world on his ship to satisfy his wanderlust. On he travels, he would often get lost or marooned on an island and encounter strange circumstances. From an island of cannibals, an island full of giants, an island inhabited by the legendary Roc bird, and more. Each time, Sinbad would return home with extraordinary stories and treasures. After the harrowing experience of his seventh voyage, where he encountered a city of demons and was dragged up into Heaven, Sinbad decided to retire from his adventures at sea and life a quiet, peaceful life in his hometown. It seems as if the Rider Servant summoned by Ark-Elyse Phatia, however, is a bizarre mix of the porter and the legendary sailor due to their shared names and the porter fitting more with Ark-Elyse's wishes. Perhaps the poor porter was inspired by his adventurous counterpart and decided to go on a voyage of his own one day. There are certainly versions of the story where Sinbad the porter recieves a gift from the sailor upon hearing the final story. Who's to say for sure. Sinbad the porter is enthused at Ark-Elyse's goal of creating a nation where people can live easy, while the sailor side is excited at the prospect of exploring the ancient ruins of the Indus Civilization.

    Class Skills:
    Magical Resistance: D
Sinbad has never really encountered anything overtly magical and he's been subjected to the whims of beings such as the Old Man of the Sea.
    Personal Skills:
    Voyager of the Storm: A
Sinbad's profficiency as a sailor and captain has helped him survive his seven voyages at sea. While many of his men die or betray him on occassion, he always manages to find new crewmates and allies who help him along the way, and sometimes, they even survive to share in his success.
    Wanderlust: A
Sinbad seems to have an inate desire to travel and explore the world to the point of obsession. Despite the many riches he amasses over his life and the riches inherits from his father, he is always stricken with the need to set sail and go adventuring. Only after the seventh voyage does Sinbad grow weary of his life of adventure and decides to settle down. This skill acts as a pseudo-sixth sense that guides Sinbad towards riches and lands full of opportunity, further strengthening his navigation skills provided by Voyager of the Storm.
    Mercantilism: C+
Instead of his usual Golden Rule, this version of Sinbad has a skill called Mercantilism. This was likely influenced Sinbad the porter who, unlike his Sailor counterpart, would have to likely have to rely on selling and trading goods to survive as an adventurous sailor. Still, this skill is also affected by Sinbad the Sailor's ridiculous luck, giving him an edge when it comes to matters of "exchange" with others. One way or another, Sinbad will usually come out with riches and friends!
    Noble Phantasm:
    On Winds of Disaster
    Legend of the Seven Seas

    Rank: B
    Classification: Anti-Army
    Range: 1~10
    Max. Targets: 100 people
This Noble Phantasm is a culmination of Sinbad's seven voyages in one concept: "wealth and glory awaits the one willing to risk their lives at sea". Sinbad summons a terrible storm and a torrent of water, blowing anyone caught in his attack. However, once the water washes away and the storm calms down, treasures and precious jewels will be left in its wake. In reality, this Noble Phantasm only digs up whatever objects are burried beneath Earth that it passes over, prioritizing objects of high mystery or precious minerals. In direct relation to this, the storm grows stronger and more ferocious when objects of high mystery are present.

    Tethers of a Fantastical History
Sometime after Ritsuka and Kadoc return from Xanadu, H.G. Wells briefs them on the information about the OOPArts deduced from analyzing the events of the Alf Grail War. The OOPArts, when used in tandem with AQUARIUS, help stabilize the Horizon Gates and prevent the Counter Force from recognizing the fantastical eras as the anomalies they are. The OOPArts only reveal their true nature as temporal anchors in the moment when the timeline is about to reach complete stability and become a Quantum Time-Lock. It seems as if AQUARIUS has streamlined this normally unpredictable pattern to center around the event where an OOPArt is used to establish the Horizon Gate’s dominance as a major world power, creating a “pivotal historical moment” that can be the basis for a Quantum Time-Lock. In Xanadu, this was the ending of the Alf Grail War and Sun Wukong’s use of the gathered magical energy to pierce a hole into the Reverse Side of the World. The Rayshift system has been modified to latch onto the burts of energy the OOPArts release as it reaches stability, allowing Chaldea to rayshift to just the right time period to destabilize the Horizon Gate. Additionally, because of the OOPArts tricking the Counter Force, no servants were summoned to destabilize Xanadu. Fortunately, as more Horizon Gates are destabilized, the hold that the OOPArts and Aquarius seem to have on the Counter Force weakens.
    Magical Industrial Revolution
Ark-Elyse Phatia sought to create a world where humans didn't have to work, a nation where humanity could use their free time to advance the science, the arts, and culture. After researching the advanced technology of the lost Indus Valley Civilization, she sought out the Indus Relics in the World Fair Singularity, and used it as the basis for her Horizon Gate. While there have been multiple iterations of her Neo-Indus Civilization through out the Horizon Gate's history, each of them has fallen to some sort of disastrous catastrophe. The most recent iteration uses a network of machines possessed by lesser spirits and demons, fed magical energy by the OOPArt from the Leylines of the land. These posssessed machines are called Eidolons.
    The Curse that Lingers
The city of Mohenjo Daro was once the sight of the mythical battle between Vishnu (in the form of Rama) and the King Lanka. The cataclysmic attack used by Vishnu was actually a highly advanced Super Weapon harnessing the power of five of the other Guardians of the Directions. The damage caused by this weapon, combined with the anguish and regrets of the dead, left behind a powerful curse on the land. The OOPArt, as a catalyst embodying the Indus Civilization, also retains this curse. When Phatia first attempted to stabilize the Horizon Gate, which was located in Mohenjo-Daro, this released the curse and caused some sort of catastrophe to befall her new nation. Her second and third attempts didn’t last long either, all falling victim to the curse and brought down by terrible natural disasters. The OOPArt is a broken weapon split into five pieces, each containing the power from a Hindu god: Agni, Vayu, Nirrti, Ishana, and Shiva whose authority as the god of destruction resides within the OOPArt's core. It seems as if this core is the piece that retained a majority of the curse, and is the trigger for stabilization process. In the previous iterations, the curse only took hold once the core was put into use in some way, that is to say, when it has been recognized it as the foundation of the Neo-Indus Civilization.

    Mystic Industrial Revolution
    Neo-Indus Empire

An blossoming empire where hard labor is performed by machines possessed by contracted lesser spirits and demons, all connected to a network recieving power from the OOPArt. These machines are managed by 4 Machine Kings, each possessed by a Heroic Spirit and granted divine power from the OOPArt. There have been several iterations of Neo-Indus in the past, the original iteration was built on the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro but the current iteration has since moved further Northeast, now located near the ancient ruins of Persepolis in Iran.

    Central Power Grid
The main power plant that provides energy to the Empire. It is heavily protected and holds a secret chamber deep beneath it where the core of the OOPArt is planned to be installed.

    Axis Networks
Four buildings located on the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest corners of the capital city. These buildings house the "brain" of the Eidolon Network, each building representing a different department of work. The four pieces of the OOPArt are also securely held in these buildings.

    Imperial Academy of Indus
The most prolific center of learning in the Neo-Indus Empire. It provides classes in magecraft like Alchemy and Spiritual Evocation, a biproduct of Neo-Indus' widespread use and development mystical technology. However due to the nature of magecraft, the contents of these classes are considered open, but closely regulated secrets. Jamshid, after being summoned into this era, hides in the academy as a professor.

    Shangri-La Imperial Palace
The seat of power for the Empire. This is where Ark-Elyse Phatia lives and where she rules the entire empire from. It is a sky scraper located in the center of the capital city.

    Abandoned Harbor
An abandoned Harbor located in South Eastern Asia. It was originally the place where Libera Echter's city of Xanadu and the then rising nation of Neo-Indus traded recourses. This is where Chalde first rayshifts into the Indus Horizon Gate.

    Northern Outpost
A lonely military outpost on the northwestern border of Neo-Indus. Kadoc and Casanova travel here to investigate a mysterious distress signal. Only to find the base has been besieged by rogue Eidolons and demonic beasts.

    Remenants of Xanadu
Ritsuka and Kadoc rayshift to the year 2114 where the Neo-Indus Empire has begun a campaign of expansion through Northern India and Central Asia through a newly established silk road and their advanced machine army. However, instead of arriving anywhere near the Empire, they rayshift along the coast of Southern China near an abandoned harbor. They begin exploring the harbor only to discover that it used to belong to the nation of Xanadu. Because that Horizon Gate was destabilized, any direct mentions of Xanadu are gone. Due to the way all the Horizon Gates exist on a set, linear timeline, Xanadu was able to help Neo-Indus grow by providing recourses and aid, but now that Xanadu no longer technically exists, the recourses provided by the trade have diminished and some Xanadu exclusive recourses like the energy of the River Alf have completely vanished. Chaldea gets in a fight with Machine King Charles Dickens and his army who have arrived to investigate the sudden change. During the fight, Chaldea is aided by a mysterious time traveler named John Titor who has traveled to the year 2114 in search of an old friend of his.
    The Vanished Civilization
After hijacking an airship from the Harbor, Chaldea travels to Mohenjo-Daro only to find the city in ruins. There, they meet Alan Quattermain, a servant summoned by the Counter Force to protect the OOPArt and keep it away from Neo-Indus. After exploring the city for a bit, Chaldea gets into a fight with two servants from Neo-Indus: Sinbad and Machine King Rudyard Kipling. Chaldea is overwhelmed when Machine King Dickens' army arrives from the East, having chased them from the abandoned harbor. Sinbad and crew escape with the piece of the OOPArt but Chaldea chases after them back to the capital of Neo-Indus in Persepolis.

    The Sailor King's Paradise
After chasing Sinbad and Kipling through the Silk Road, Chaldea gains the attention of Neo-Indus authorities and gain Wanted Posters so they are forced to sneak into Persepolis through the sewers and old subway lines. Chaldea spends some time in Persepolis investigating the situation of the Horizon Gate and trying to locate the pieces of the OOPArt while fending off Machine King Kipling, who is revealed to be working alongside the police. At the Imperial Academy, the meet Jamshid who has been summoned by to the land by the Counter Force to address the increasingly deadly catastrophes that plague Neo-Indus and to help destabilize the Horizon Gate. He explains the situation with the curse and says that he's been working to get an audience with Ark-Elyse Phatia in order to warn her. Jamshid has been impressed by Neo-Indus and holds some hope that Elyse will see reason. He helps Chaldea sneak into the Imperial Palace where they try to convince Phatia of the curse, but she seems too stubborn.
    Unreachable Dream
After a fight in the throne room against Sinbad, Chaldea is split up, with Ritsuka and Titor getting imprisoned in the palace dungeons and Kadoc having to retreat with Casanova in order to plan a prison break. The opportunity arrives when Phatia holds a festival in the city square to celebrate the aquisition of the OOPArt's final piece and its installation into the central power grid. Kadoc and Casanova take this opportunity to break Ritsuka and Titor out of the dungeons and the team joins up with Quattermain and Jamshid to stop the installation of the OOPArt. At the central power grid, they are stopped by Sinbad, Kipling and the Machine King Mary Shelley who plan to buy Elyse time to install the final piece of the OOPArt. Sinbad says he and Elyse have fought too hard to bring Neo-Indus back from the brink of destruction to stop now. The three Machine Kings buy just enough time for the OOPArt to be installed, beginning the stabilization process and unleashing the curse on the city.
    Encroaching Order Collapse
After the fight at the Power Plant and the installation of the OOPArt into the power grid, it seems as if Neo-Indus has eased its attacks on Chaldea. Elyse and Sinbad have left for the frontier to aid in the expansion of the empire and quell some minor skirmishes, leaving Kipling in charge of the capital. Meanwhile, some lower end machines have begun malfunctioning. Several dangerous automatons go berserk and Chaldea helps fight them off before it destroys a city block, gaining some trust from Machine King Kipling who seems more willing to hear out their concerns, though she is conflicted about the notion of destabilizing the Horizon Gate. A break in occurs at one of the Axis Network Buildings and Chaldea goes to investigate, running into Foreigner of the End who reveals he has been using his magical mirror to corrupt the Eidolon Network. After this encounter, things begin to escalate in Persepolis. Kipling and Dickens have succumbed to Foreigner's corruption and begin leading the Eidolons on a rampage through the city. They begin trying to dismantle the other pieces of the OOPArt in preparation for some project, meanwhile the curse spreads further through the Empire, causing storms, earthquakes, plaques, and bad crops. Chaldea picks up a distress signal from a military outpost on the Northwest border so Kadoc and Titor go to investigate while Jamshid and Ritsuka stay behind to hold off the Machine Kings and keep things peaceful in Persepolis.

    Flames of Pacification
Receiving a distress signal from the frontiers, Chaldea splits to go investigate. Ritsuka, Jamshid, and some of the Mage Society stay in Persepolis to handle the Machine Kings while Kadoc, Casanova, and Alan Quattermain go to a military outpost to answer the signal. There, they find the outpost burned to the ground and follow the trail of destruction to a city under siege. Elyse and Sinbad have been fighting rogue machines commanded by Machine King Tolstoy, the Horseman of War whose flames of pacification granted by Agni have been turned into flames of destruction, and Machine King Shelley, the Horseman of Death who carries a cloud of plagues with her. Elyse has managed to fight off and defeat the horde of machines and absorb the spirits inside into her Mystic Code but the natural disasters and the sheer number of enemies is beginning to exhaust her, not only that, but demonic beasts have begun appearing as well which Elyse cannot absorb. She begrudgingly accepts Chaldea's help and they quickly wall off the city. Elyse explains that a mission to pacify a skirmish for territory on the border turned into a disaster when Tolstoy and Shelley went rogue and carved a path of destruction across the land, destroying small towns and villages on the border as they went, which is completely against their programming and any abilities she thought they had. Elyse also explains that the skirmish started because technology traded by Neo-Indus to the neighboring countries has started to malfunction and shut down, and the natural disasters have also been spreading. Kadoc calls her out on her refusal to believe that the Indus Relic is dangerous and even cites the incident it caused back in the World Fair singularity.
    Black Dragon of Demise
The next day, a large army is spotted coming in from the west, everyone gets ready to fight assuming it to be Tolstoy’s army, but they are being chased by a horde of powerful demonic beasts. The army is led by a Servant summoned by the Counter Force, Hannibal Barca who warns them that a terrible monster awakened from a nearby mountain and has been attacking the surrounding towns. The curse has spread to the lands that have begun using Neo-Indus technology and the surrounding nations have been engulfed in some sort of “Territory of Extinction” and due to the conflicting existing of the other Horizon Gates and the spreading “Apocalypse” curse, instead of stabilizing or destabilizing, the Horizon Gate is on the verge of becoming a Singularity. The approaching monster is revealed to be the Dragon of Demise, Azi Dahaka from Zoroastrian Myths. It has been awakened from within the Mount Damavand by the curse of the OOPArt and has begun moving towards Persepolis. Sinbad offers to use Noble Phantasm as a means of pushing them forwards while cutting down the hoardes of demonic beasts that follow in Azi Dahaka's wake. Tolstoy and Shelley have long since retreated for unknown reasons.
    Machine God of Destruction
Meanwhile, back in Persepolis, the Machine Kings have regrouped and managed to collected the pieces of the OOPArt. Their plan is to gather the pieces to complete the ancient weapon that destroyed the original Indus Civilization. Ritsuka and Jamshid break into the central Power Grid to try and stop the Machine Kings who intend to sacrifice themselves to complete the soul of the OOPArt automaton, Mecha Shiva. Chaldea defeats Machine King Shelley, weakening the ancient weapon when it fully awakens. Nevertheless, Mecha Shiva begins ravaging through the city while Chaldea helps evacuate civilians. Once Hannibal, Kadoc, and Elyse’s forces arrive with Azi Dahaka chasing them, the city gets caught in a battle between the Beast awakened by the curse, and the product of Foreigner of the End’s scheming. Mecha Shiva and Azi Dahaka clash for dominance in the wreckage of Neo-Indus

The Battle that Scorched the Earth
Everyone teams up in a desperate attempt to stop the two calamities from fighting and prevent Indus from collapsing into a singularity. Sinbad uses his boat and storm it brings with it to damage Mecha Shiva’s circuitry, giving Hannibal and his army an opportunity to charge at it. Olga-Marie uses her Noble Phantasm to infiltrate Mecha Shiva’s computer brain so as to cause conflict between the mechanical body and the spirits possessing it. Meanwhile, Jamshid feels his powers growing, claiming that the deciding event for whether the Horizon Gate will collapse or stabilize is approaching. Everyone notes that Azi Dahaka seems to be growing stronger, likely as the curse spreads further through the land, so Jamshid and Saint Germaine plan to use their Noble Phantasms to isolate Persepolis from the world as its own texture. The exhausted Jamshid, with the help of the remaining servants and Ark-Elyse, manage to weaken Azi Dahaka just enough that a blast from Mecha Shiva manages to knock it out. With its circuits fried, it’s main computer damaged, and its energy spent from the final blast, Mecha Shiva also goes down.
    The Final Puzzle Piece
With both calamities defeated, everyone rejoices. But, Elyse takes this opportunity to absorb the remaining energy from Azi Dahaka into her Mystic Code and merges with it, becoming Majin Ark-Elyse. She challenges Chaldea to a fight, proclaiming that if Neo-Indus managed to survive all this with most of their society intact, she will fight to preserve the Horizon Gate to the very end and learn from the mistakes she made while managing Neo-Indus. The final boss is Ark-Elyse and Sinbad, and they put up a valiant fight. Ark-Elyse, harnessing the power of Azi Dahaka through her Mystic Code, is a formidable foe but she is incapable of handling the dragon's full strength and is forced to power down. Ark-Elyse resigns herself to death, but is saved when a pillar of light erupts from the remains of the OOPArt and a hole opens in the sky. The OOPArt is not stabilizing, but it seems like someone is using the spacetime anomaly created by the OOPArts during peak of stabilization to travel without rayshifting. An airship descends from the hole in the sky and out comes a man wearing a golden mask accompanied by Arsène Lupin. They’ve come to investigate the critical state of the Horizon Gate on behalf of the other members of Elysium and are shocked by what they see. Elyse, hoping to rebuild her nation in another Horizon Gate, escapes on board the ship and into the hole in the sky. One the hole closes, the pillar of light begins to fade. H.G. Wells contacts Chaldea and urges them to use the Disentanglement Cannon before the anomaly vanishes. Olga aims the Cannon at the OOPArt and destabilizes the Horizon Gate successfully. All the summoned servants begin returning to the throne and say their final goodbies. And with that, all the supernatural elements created by the OOPArts are undone and the possibilities of the future are opened up once more for the next 100 years. The other Horizon Gates however, exceed the 100 year sight of the regular SHEBA lense, what manner of fantastical possibilities could they hold?

    Horizon Gate Cleared! Possibilities Established

"Dance, rejoice, consume! Let your imagination and creativity run wild and usher in humanity's golden age. I've broken the shackles of your dreary lives, so let's create and innovate!"

    Name: Ark-Elyse Phatia
Aliases: Heretic Saint, Charlatan Exorcist, Empress of Neo-Indus
    Age: 28
    Height/Weight 160 cm/ 64 kg
    Countery of Origin: Turkey
    Element: Water
    Origin: Container
    Circuit Quality: A+
    Circuit Quantity: B
Affiliations: Holy Church (Former), Department of Spiritual Evocation (Former), Atlas Institute (Former), Elysium Society
    Servant: Sinbad (Rider)
    Command Seal:

    Background
Not much is known about Ark-Elyse Phatia, except that she's been a member of several organizations. She started off as a Executioner for the Holy Church, but was kicked out after stealing a Holy Relic while stationed at a remote church in the Middle East. She gained an in with the Mages Association after selling her research on spirits and demonic familiars alongside secrets from the Holy Church in exchange for protection from her enemies and a place in the Clock Tower. After making a small career in the Creation Department working on the first draft of her Eidolon project, Elyse hit a burn out and joined the Atlas Institute after being given an introduction by Bridge Gracefiel of the Elysium Society. Recently however, Elyse has become more focused on the goals of the Elysium Society and hasn't been seen by the Atlas Institute. She spends most of her time in Oasis Classroom and traveling to different time periods for the purpose of furthering the group's goals.
She sees Elysium as an opportunity to create her own utopia, an carefree world where humans can "focus on the important things" while Machines handle hard labor that would normally be considered undesirable work by a majority of people. After learning of Elysium’s goals, she has become especially interested in the idea of creating an advanced civilization that merges magecraft and scientific technology.

    Personality
Elyse is very driven and enthusiastic about her work, but tends to get distracted by new ideas and innovations. This gives her a tendency to move around and drift between organizations, switching sides to whoever can catch her intrigue first. Elyse refuses to give up when she has set her sights on a task and will unleash her wrath on anyone who gets in her way.

    Magecraft
    Holy Sword of Sovereignty
    Akhvaretem Khvarenah (Mystic Code)

Elysse’s sword, an unnamed holy sword which she named “Akhvaretem Khvarenah”, was originally a holy relic used to exorcise demons and hunt down heretics. During her time spent working for the Holy Church, Elysse found this sword while stationed in a remote church out in the Middle East and stole it, which was the reason she was eventually kicked out and made an enemy of the church. In combination with her Origin of Container, which allows her to be a very effective medium/anchor for spirits and familiars, Elysse can absorb the spirits inside Khavernah and merge with them, temporarily gaining some of their abilities. While this is one of her only major advantages in a fight, it is still a very dangerous asset, allowing her to fight against weaker Servants.
    Phantasmal Amalgamate
    Wild Hunt

One of Elyse's longest running projects. This is a modification to Akhvartem Kvarenah that allows Elyse to fuse her lesser spirits together in a horrifying storm of living curses inspired by the myths of the Wild Hunt. This has been a long project in the works and was completed with the help of Zazari Nahui, another member of the Elysium Society. Controling this living storm is a strain on Elyse's body and mind, requiring intense concentration. It also heavily limits the offensive capabilities of the Mystic Code itself to maintain the storm.
    Spiritual Evocation
Elyse is profficient in creating familiars and summoning spirits. She has also has ready access to the spirits and demons stored within Akhvartem Kavrenah, both the ones she's collected herself and the ones that were sealed within the sword ages ago.

    Extra Information
    Miscellaneous Skills
she has a knack for sword fighting and subterfuge from her time spent as an executioner but prefers to keep fire arms close by for convenience, a habit she picked up while on the run. She has gained some experience in Alchemy and Engineering while working with the Atlas Institute, and has an appreciation for artificial intelligence and information technology. Truly, a jack of many trades. Despite this, her relatively short attention span makes it difficult to focus in battle.
    Valley of Critical Collapse
    Indus
Elyse acts as the ruler of Neo-Indus alongside her Servant Sinbad. While she isn't technically the master of the Machine Kings, as the one who used the OOPArts to create Neo-Indus and the one who gave them their authority, they defer to her orders nonetheless. She doesn't play much of a role in the story until after the Machine Kings go rogue, fighting off Tolstoy and Shelley out in the frontiers and aiding in the battle against the two calamities that rampaged through Persepolis. Like her other citizens, she prefers to indulge in research and the arts while leaving the heavy duty work to her Eidolons and familiars.

Daring explorers seeking paradise descend into the depths of the abyss, but what answers will the corridors of the planet's past provide?

    Notes
And that does it for Horizon Gate 2! It took me a while to figure out just what I wanted to do with this setting. I saw an Ancient Aliens video about the disappearance of the Indus River Valley Civilization being caused by ancient nukes, and the video speculated that Mohenjo Daro was actually the kingdom of Lanka mentioned in the Ramayana. Fully inspired, I settled on the theme of "collapse" and decided to spice things up a bit by having Indus' disappearance become a lingering curse through the OOPArt, the ancient weapon used in the epic battle. Maybe I might make a Pseudo-Singularity involving Ark-Elyse's past attempts of building Neo-Indus at some point, but this balls the walls localized apocalypse was just too cool for me to scrap. The kaiju battle between Mecha Shiva and Azi Dahaka was probably the funnest part for me to write.!

This Horizon Gate was very cool, the idea of using the Indu River Civilisation as the setting is pretty nice. Especially with the whole theme of this HG. Sadly my boy Hannibal wasn't really fleshed out and kinda came out of nowhere, but to be fair I’de rather have him like that than to not have him at all. So he was a nice cameo.
I really liked Sinbad's NP, digging up treasure is a really fun and original idea. Also his art was remarkably good, in my opinion the best one from this HG.

I’m curious to see what will happen in Horizon Gate 3.

A LB idea that I actually created on a LB war RP server, so bear with me as I try to translate everything in English
PS: I suck at writing ideas down and at straying too far from canon, so take that into account when reading this. Also, Frigix I dont need to present you this one (somehow couldn't make BL add the image of the banner you made for it)

Name: Holy Land of Demons and Humans: Solomon
Subtitle: The Eternal King of Magecraft
    Lost Depth: C

    Origin: 931 B.C.
    Location: Jerusalem
    King: Solomon-Goetia
    Crypter: Layla Khaldun
    Fantasy Tree: Laniakea

History: In the Proper Human History, the wise king Solomon died peacefully of old age after a long and fulfilling life that left a great mark upon the world, with the upbringing of Magecraft unrestricted from gods. However, in this Lostbelt, a subtle difference changed everything : a king of men usually so rational and detached from mankind, this Solomon felt something inherently human at the very core of his being, the natural fear of dying that all humans carry within themselves. While from a rational point of view it was obvious to him that he didn't need to fear being forgotten with all the changes he brought, it wasn't rationality that made him feel that fear, and thus he didn't take the decision to fight it out of rationality either. To avoid that impending death he feared so much, that Solomon maybe more human than any other iteration of him conducted a grand ritual upon himself. To trump death forever, he needed a body, mind and soul that were immortal, immune to the passing of time ... something he knew well, as one of the characteristics of his summoned familiars he would be known for in Proper Human History. And thus, he fused all of his being with the 72 Demon Gods that served him, rejecting his humanity because of the very feeling that made him human.
Under his continuing reign, taking over the Levant and the rest of the surrounding world became a matter of mere decades as his reformed mind lead to strategic victories to secure more and more land as the "Kingdom of God on Earth". Once that was done, he began greater rituals all over the conquered world, changing nature progressively from the desertic ground to a more fertile soil, what once was a harsh desert becoming a "new Eden" according to those who lived there, a mixed population of normal humans, living alongside mages who came from all the world to the land of the King of magecraft, and Djinns brought by the authority of the king's former familiars, a patchwork population living in peace ever since.

Name: Fake Garden of Salvation: Gethsemane
    Subtitle: Nullus Sacrificus
    Lost Depth: A+

    Origin: 33 a.C
    Location: Jerusalem
    King: Jesus of Nazareth
    Crypter: ???
Fantasy Tree: No God Crucified (NGC)

History: On the night of the first of April, the figure of The Savior, who never feared the imminent destiny that his father gave gim, is fearful in the Garden of Gethsemane. In the Panhuman history, this is his only moment of doubt and that is overcome after and oppressive night, where the will is renewed to head towards his Passion.
    But, this is different...
A simple moment of moment of fear and self-preservation can change everything. The Messiah refuses to follow his role, and when Chaldea detects this black point, it's too late, two years have passed and a beautiful garden/fortress was erected in what was once Getshemane. An impenetrable place in which, surrounded by a few of his apostles, the Messiah will fulfill his greatest wish: SURVIVE.

I have some ideas regarding this lostbelt and a few others that I thought I will share them as I update them.

And, a question, you can see the banner of the lostbelt?
Some people have told me that, the images are not visible.

I can see the first pic, but not the banner afterwards.
It's possibly the image-hosting site you use.

    Edit:
Huh, the banner appeared on laptop, but there's still a stop sign below it. Idk if there's a second image or something there.

Hello there. I am person who recently joined this place. Due to reading cool stuff, I was inspired to do something I probably shouldn't do right now. And yet, here I am.

    -

Hear me, stains of the Earth.
    Hear me, flaws of existence.
Hear me, demons that call themselves human.
Human history itself is a mistake.
From the moment thy kind crawled from the primordial sea, you should never have been.
Thy greatest moments are sins against the universe.
Even thy impossible utopias should be burned away for the good of existence itself.
I am the Avenger of Judgement.
The histories of your failures will consume you from the inside out.
This is where the story of the Human Order ends.
There will be no grand final battle or evolution to a new state.
    Simply nonexistence.
