I wonder how she summoned Okita when Kanata wasn't there. She had Avalon as a catalyst and it was the LN falling into the circle and accidentaly being the catalyst that led to Okita being summoned in this case. So I wonder how she would've ended up with Okita instead of Artoria when Kanata wasn't there. What was the original catalyst and what led to her not using Avalon?

Anyways, can't remember, did anything say if the LN uses the masters' real names. I can see the writer changing the names to protect privacy and secrecy of magic. Pretty sure the association wouldn't like a book with 100% accurate telling of a war that involved magi bieneing available to the public, so they must've changed some details like names to avoid problems

Idk, going from "My fingers are disappearing, and the novel's text is changing (conveniently on the page relevant to the events happening right now)" to "clearly the novel is somehow reflecting the reality I am now in (even though I thought it was 'just' time travel until a few minutes ago) except the protagonist/Master of Saber was clearly supposed to be Tsukumo even though she isn't even a Master currently and the text hadn't changed before now" seems to be kind of a big logic leap to make.

And granny was trying to summon a Saber class, even if it was Artoria. Not hard to assume she'd be Okita's master if he didn't show up. Why Okita and not Artoria is the question here, given she was planning to use Avalon as catalyst
His arrival changing history and that resulting in a rewrite makes sense, too. The reality the writer knows and ends up writing is now different.
I don't see the logic leap is too big or how the LN reflecting reality means it can't still be simple time travel. The LN is actually based on true events and that was stablished already

He could easily assume his grandma was the protagonist from the fact the protagonist is a black-haired girl who summoned Saber, and grandma is a black-haired girl who was trying to summon Saber before he hijacked the summoning.
Though I do agree that the text being modified to reflect the changes in history is a sign that neither of them is the writer of the novel.
It's still up in the air if his situation isn't actually time travel. The book is just a regular book so the text changing could still just be happening for the same reason that Kanata is disappearing.

I'm surprised Fujimyia didn't cooperate with assassin. After all she isn't a master and wants to participate in the grail war she should easily had betrayed Akagai with the condition that assassin would kill his master and make a contract with her.
Yeah cooperating with the guy who came to attack you and cut your fingers is a great idea. Like, she has nothing to offer to him for him to begin considering such an offer

Current FGO setup
So if we have Okita as Saber, Nobunaga as Archer, Ryouma as Rider, and Izou as Assassin, who could be Lancer, Caster, and Berserker? I assume Chacha (possibly in her Yodo persona) will be Berserker, and as Caster we'll have either Mitsuhide or a non-gag version of Maxwell's Demon, but is there any Lancer associated with the GudaGuda manga / events??

This is a direct adaptation of Fate/Koha-Ace. We already know everything that will happen in the story with the exclusion of some events pertaining to the Masters.
