I mispoke, actually- this is all on the artist, Hirano Ryuji, not the writer. I'll correct that. Looking at his works he doesn't seem to have done much but his style is pretty distinctive.

I read somewhere that the fact that they changed Kohaku for a male MC caused a backlash with the fanbase because of that of Okita only should be with FGO MC so much at all hits or teases about romance interaction between Kanata and Okita was removed of the planning and that is why Okita have this relatively cold demeanor instead of her energetic one and even make the person/s in charge of the changes apologize. And my point is I doubt they will have Okita suddenly talk about Kanata in FGO and she also has 2 alts with Alter and her swimsuit version, so what applies to all of them can apply to Okita and thus, the idea of outrage about Kanata being Okita's master here to the point apologies and changes to plans were needed sounds nonsensical to me
