Now, Kanata being able to step in is no bullshit. Like both Okita and Oryou weren't moving. Okita because she was recovering from being hit plus her Weak Constitution hiiting, and preparing her next move and Oryou because Ryoma sensed Kanata and was holding her back. Ryoma has clearly still not given up on his alliance plan, and Kanata's entrance means maybe he can try to convince him even if Okita doesn't accept on her own. When Kanata steppend in, Okita was weakened and Ryoma was holding Oryo back.

I think he was on the way to the scene as the fight happens, and observes the situation until it settles down a bit, which is when they stop for a moment as Ryouma tries to reason with Okita again, for him to step in safely. Anyone would think it's too dangerous to get caught in the middle of heated Servant fight.

Thing is, the fight was rolling, not confined to one place. So for him to not be seen anywhere and still be quick enough to step up just in time to restrain Okita from going full Makoto would take some creative thinking, to say the least.

I think we already knew he's been hypnotising his troops as well (though he must fairly suck as a magus if he needs to drug them first), so the only new info in this chapter is Kaname being the daughter of someone important as well as a dirty foreigner? Not sure if that was mentioned before. Weird he doesn't try to just control her directly, though, I guess he's afraid of Nobu catching on first?

At first I thought it was because I mistrusted them but at this point it is clear that it is because of something else.

They are on day 3, day 1 was the fight against Nobunaga, day 2 was against Izou and we are in 3 with Ryoma, if we continue with this pattern the next day they will probably have a meeting with Lancer, the next with Berserker and the last with Caster.

To be fair, even though her appearance is based on Artoria, her role is obviously inspired by Sakura (she even has an abusive Shinji-face), so it's fitting that she's curvy.

Kaname being only half Japanese was mentioned during her introduction, but his father being "his Excellency" is new info, I think.

Note: in wartime language, "Excellency" usually means someone ranked general or higher.

Thanks for the clarification because my first thought was her being an illegitimate child of the Emperor but that didn't seem right.

The Emperor would at least rank a "his Highness" but 'Excellency' is the term for a Duke, so I was leaning towards a noble of some stripe too.

In the original, the only interaction I remember them having was that Nobunaga refused to fight Mori despite her pleas so I guess they don't have a very good relationship, but considering she obeyed her on the train and didn't kill her like her first Master they don't have a bad one either.
