I'm honestly disappointed, I wanted to see Caren, or in this case her expy, drawn by the artist.

That said, I kind of like her design, and it's fitting that the master who summoned the Chinese Servant is Chinese as well.

I am honestly curious as to how her history with the church and relic her was originally seeking will expand.

On to the plot: Looks like Old Li is the one summoned in this war. Does this mean we have two Assassins or is he Lancer-class this time?

FGO did weird thing by making young Li as lancer, so old Li became Assassin.

Old Li is a Lancer in Koha-Ace, so it should be the same here. Young Li is originally an Assassin in Extra.

FGO switched the two versions' class for some reason.

I think we see Maxwell's Demon's device there in the new chapter, being worked on by Nobbu of all people? Initially, I assumed Maxwell's demon (I'll just call them Maxwell for short) would be involved with the protagonist somehow, since both the protag and Maxwell shouldn't be here normally but are here due to some other timeline or time altering force. But if his perpetual energy machine is being constructed by Nobbu instead, then perhaps she's actually the pivotal one for the timeline stuff. Which would be strange, as none of her abilities or her Noble Phantasm have anything to do with time—on the contrary, being as anti-mystery/divinity as she is, you'd think she would be the least likely to be involved in time altering stuff.

It brings up a lot of questions. I suppose it could be as simple as "Nobbu isn't involved in the time altering; she just took advantage of it to work with Maxwell", but Maxwell's summoner is surely involved in the cause for the timeline shenanigans; no normal summoner would try to summon Maxwell unless they already knew of the impossibility of the present timeline. The only other explanation I can see is that Maxwell has no summoner or that Maxwell was attempted to be summoned in the normal timeline but failed, possibly causing the explosion which didn't happen in this timeline? Doesn't explain why everything's happening several months later, though. So I think it's more likely that Nobbu is somehow involved, or that wasn't Maxwell's device we saw (even though it has a very strong resemblance to the one in the F/GO event).
