Ritter does mean knight. A quick search on google results that reiter means horserider.
Is part of the original Koha-Ace setting, it would be this work equivalent of the Fuyuki Third HGW.
The Kagetora and Hideyoshi illustration at the beginning of chapter 2.1 was a reference to it.
Keikenti started teasing on Koha-Ace, around the beginning of the year, about a prequel story to this HGW telling what happened but then pretty muh didn't tell much more about it (hopefully next year he does starts seriously telling it or once Red Line is over they do the prequel in this style directly)
The only servants confirmed from it are these three (Nobu, Hideyoshi and Kagetora) but it seems the plans are for it to be an all sengoku era servants HGW
Okita cute
This seems to be the favourite jump off point for the various sidestories, Apocrypha, Strange Fake, even Hollow Ataraxia itself blossomed from it.
Assuming my memory is right, Koha-Ace followed their 3rd war with a win from the Imperial Army side, spearheaded by Nobu which they then nicked the Grail and fashioned it into some kinda bomb. How much of that is correct or is gonna stick is clearly up for debate since Not-Shinji seems to imply that the Grail somehow went missing?
Anyway, when the prequel story was teased, they had like Rin and Sakura playing the masters of Saber, so I think they're mimicking HA again and they're supposed to be the Edelfelt Stand-Ins. Brilliantly, they picked another Saber with more than one form, but instead of good and evil, its crap and borked. Ten quid says Rin got E-Rank Hideyoshi.
For what I remember, the Grail going missing was still part of the original plot, and it was Nobu who had the intention of turning the Grail into a bomb before going missing on the previous HGW. But yeah, redline is doing an amazing job referencing the original setting, which makes me really hopefull to see the prequel done in this style one day, fingers cross
I don't know if the story got to that point, but I really would like to see Nobu take on the allies.

Thanks BananaShiki.
Also, that's one sturdy phone, with long-lasting battery apparently. And just spotted Tsukumo lying down next to him.

Become Heroic Spirits and protect us? What a fucking prick.
This dude is great, I can't wait to see someone punch his face.
Welp, gotta love a punchable villain becoming even more punchable.
shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
Funny thing is, there's probably a few guys in their ranks that have become 3rd rate heroic spirits. I'm sure there's been a few famous Kamikaze pilots and the like who'd be on the list, Tsukumo's picture for a Rider even looked like a pilot from that era.
Anyway, nice to see Maxwell show his face. I liked his mini-chapter.
There's something I've been wondering about.
What are the odds that the way they defeat Maxwell's Demon will change?
Huh, now that you mention it... In the original, Oda sacrificed the others to make a wish on the incomplete Grail, right? Merging herself and Okita into Devil Saber to finish it, if I'm remembering correctly? While this could certainly be handled more seriously, I don't know if they'd necessarily change it outright? Though they could.
