My second 10 pull. Another like this will (almost) make up for Nian. My first 10-pull had 2 Uatges and 2 Midnights. Of course, I had to do another 18 pulls to get Sesa, netting me another 3 Midnights along the way... and an Executor, who was one of my two missing operators. So a pretty good banner for me.
Very convenient that it required exactly 38 pulls, and just after the month started. In other news, totally unrelated, I have no more gold certs.


As for actually playing, well. No first day Risk 18 for me. I got rank 14 without much trouble, but I cannot quite get anything higher. I've been neglecting Masteries, and with the limited OPs from the first-week risks that's just too big of a problem. I might be able to pull of Risk 18 by the end of the week (as I swiftly try to M3 Hoshi, Lappland, Myrtle, Texas...) but I may just save resources and grab it week 2.

Did anyone else do the Training Grounds? I found it trivially easy to R7 all of them... except the Transport Hub. WTF, 50% HP terminals AND extra strength range targeting of them? With 4 OP limit? That one is going to be a real pain in the Daily cycle.
But I also really enjoyed the experience of beating the pants off the enemies in Area 59 Ruins when it was limited to R7. That was a lot of fun.

Not the first time that they change the order of events, but this time it will change the units that we have available for the next CC.

For the current CC, I am kinda frustrated because of the RNG with the fire tiles, many times the spider will live with little HP and walk towards my units and explode. At least with the first CC you could avoid the rng with the panda using the correct setup and timing.

Somehow finally managed to recruit Indra out of nowhere. Was skipping the bag animation as usual while multitasking & was suprised to see her pop up.

Actually had a bit of trouble on this CC compared to last one...I guess I have been E2'ing mostly ranged units & was lacking on stronger tanks & was even experiencing a lot of bad RNG with the fire tiles.

Ceobe has really grown on me. Was initially not interested on her & still find her default art's face somewhat odd but damn has she grown on me with her personality & lines. Same w/ Magallan's case, I've grown to really adore them much more than I expected.

Did everything in this CC - Even managed to get higher than Risk 8 on most of the Dailies, but only managed to max Risk one of them. Also capped out at Risk 18 on the main map. Which made no sense - I could do 17 during the first week, and there's basically 3 free Risk added second week, so why couldn't I do 19 or 20? After dozens of tries, all I can really say is: I hate the fire-tile RNG. I hate dodge RNG (Hoshi and Hellagur both). And I really hate those Agents!

All in all, while I felt that the permanent map was distinctly inferior to the first CC, the daily maps were much more interesting. I'm looking forward to CC #1 when it arrives.

So I remembered it was the last day of the Children of Ursus event, and I still had thousands of cookies sitting around. Took a quick trip to the shop to buy everything (including one too many info fragments, oops) then read the newly unlocked stories.
Welp. They'd given more than enough hints about the events that the overall story didn't surprise me. But I will admit to being surprised at how bluntly the game went over what happened - and what those characters did. It's too bad they didn't hire a good English language writer, because someone with some skill could have turned that into grade A+ material.
