Yeah I also thought that I'd still prefer the previous skin because there was no way they were gonna make a cooler looking clone than the Plague Doctor one.

I'm really surprised they're giving away a L2D skin, but I'm even more surprised Phantom is so popular.
Dude's cool and all but an entire game mode followed by being the first non-limited with a L2D skin? Hypergryph must loves the guy.
To me it seems more of a situation where they had a lot of plans for him from the onset, considering that he is a huge mystery-bait character. His entire lore screamed "Hey guys, look: LORE".
Also, they got Akira Ishida to voice him. They knew what they were doing. If you don't believe me, look at Reed. There wasn't a snowball's chance in hell they hired Mamiko Noto to voice a one-off nothing character, and look where she is now.
I don't know about that. Half the characters in the game are mystery-bait, fucking Myrrh is out here hinting at the unexplored areas.
They're definitely giving him some special attention though, so maybe I'm wrong. Reed was always connected to main story stuff so it feels different from this.
Can't argue with that.

I hope I get lucky and roll Flametail with the free rolls. I really want to have all of Pinus but I don't want to spend right before Gnosis.
Also, it's nice to finally get a follow up to some of the things they've set up in the past.
As much as I like NTR Horse's design, I'm gonna have to skip this one to save for the CNY and 3rd Anniversary banner. Flametail doesn't really do it for me, either.
I did buy Mostima in the Cert Shop, so I'm satisfied for now. Even bought her costume beforehand.
I would also like to mention that I think the way rewards are done in this event is neat and a nice change of pace.
P.S. the dubstep still slaps

Also I'm only up to NL-2 and I'm sad Plastic Knight is a prejudiced noble prick, I didn't get this impression from him in Maria Nearl and was quite sympathetic to the guy.
He's obviously going to come around as the story progresses but it's still disappointing.
On the other hand, I expected Malkiewcz to settle into his new position much more comfortably and immediately bow down to the megacorps and I'm glad he's still conflicted.
My very first pull was a 6*!
Off banner 6*, of course.
Luckily, I used 2 months worth of accumulation to get Shiny Nearl with just 2 tickets left, but no Flametail yet.
And speaking of: NTRKnight is kind of odd to play around with. E2'd but no masteries yet, and I can't quite find a good spot for her. Fast redeploy that isn't very fast (and gets downright slow if you don't use other pony people), duel high damage but a short lifespan even with shields, or a short lifespan extra blocker and true damage mode.
She's not bad - everywhere I've dropped her, she's done the job of killing whatever it was - but so would Mudrock or Surtr or Thorns or SilverAsh or most of the rest of the 6* crew. Not sure what I'll be doing with her in the future.
And as cool as this event is, it's long. Half the time when the level final starts I'm shocked and need to hurry to get ready before the enemies actually start moving.
Usually I'd join in with "Hypergriff please hire an editor to cut down this story holy fuck" but the story has been actually well written, like Maria Nearl, and I like the Pinus knights, so I'll accept it this time.

I usually skip through the story & finish all the stages before slowly reading through a couple of chapters a day.

Yeah, I did that but ended up like Seagull.Now I just read as I play, if I don't have time and haven't unlocked the good nodes yet I'll just spend sanity on the bad event stages at the start and ignore the materials I'm not getting.
I pretty much have anyone I care about leveled or pre-farmed already anyway.
