A True Story, Saber's greatest satirical work. The story mocks outlandish tales that had been reported in ancient sources, particularly those that presented fantastic or mythical events as if they were true. The story repeatedly took the reader's expectations and turned them upside-down, using their usual genre-savviness on the topic of mythology and superstition against them. Summoned as a Saber, this concept embodies his sword, creating "the perfect, unpredictable, unblockable attack". Upon its activation, the sword releases a glorious golden light before Saber unleashes that light as a powerful wave of destruction. While this Noble Phantasm may appear simple enough, those who saw the sword's brilliant glow will have trouble comprehending it. Their minds will erratically think about "all the possible effects a sword Noble Phantasm could have and how to counter them"; does it have a sure-hit effect? can it shatter barriers? reverse cause and effect? rewrite universal laws? cause instant death upon contact? and so on. Unable to comprehend the truth, their minds would instead assume the simplest possible conclusion when confronted with all these possibilities, namely "the sword possesses all of these qualities". Nonetheless, the information overload is so great that by the time the attack hits, the targets could only stand motionlessly as they try and fail to devise countermeasures in their heads. Of course, the truth is much simpler than that. This Noble Phantasm really is just a generic sword-beam with no special characteristics whatsoever. Its basis? "Well, most Sabers have sword-beams, so why shouldn't I have one? Don't think too hard about it", Saber would say with a mildly irritated look on his face. Incidentally, after receiving knowledge from the Grail, Saber decided to take his satire four steps further and unofficially rename this Noble Phantasm "
Durengramscalibolg: Unbroken Sword of Promised Piercing Ruin".
This Noble Phantasm also possesses a passive effect similar to
Evaporation of Sanity that stretches people's suspension of disbelief to the absolute maximum while in Saber's vicinity, spreading his "don't think too hard about it" mentality to the masses. These people will gradually have trouble differentiating between the mundane and the amazing. At maximum effect, most humans could see Servants, heroes of legends, fighting in broad daylight and think something like "oh, the neighbor's kids are fighting again, boys will be boys". These people would also be more prone towards reckless, thoughtless actions due to their inability to comprehend the magnitude of said actions (for example, stabbing your annoying neighbor would feel no different than shopping for groceries in your boring, everyday life). In that sense, it can be said that humanity's collective IQ would drop by several points just by being in Saber's presence alone.

In his novel, Saber fought mythical beasts, met legendary heroes, and discovered far-off lands. The novel ends abruptly on a cliffhanger promising that even more amazing tales will be revealed in the upcoming sequels... which was never written, something one disappointed fan claimed as "the biggest lie of them all".
Saber's second Noble Phantasm, representing the conceptual ability to "leave others hanging". A constantly active Noble Phantasm taking the form of Saber's armor. As long as he dons the armor, his Skills and parameters will be obscured from enemies, and they would constantly feel that there is more to Saber than meets the eye. They would feel as if Saber only fought with a tiny fraction of his power, constantly holding back for some unknown reason. These thoughts would endlessly gnaw at the back of their minds, making them unnaturally wary and terrified of Saber's yet-to-be-revealed true power. Of course, the truth is that Saber could fight with every last ounce of his strength and others would still think that he's still hiding his ultimate trump card, just waiting to be revealed in the next battle. All in all, Saber uses this Noble Phantasm as an intimidation tactic, by boasting lines such as "I only need 2% of my true power to defeat you".
Saber also claims that by releasing this Noble Phantasm's True Name, he could conjure a second sword, an EX+++ rank Anti-World Noble Phantasm with power over 100 times mightier than his first Noble Phantasm. Of course, this is essentially an instant-win button that can destroy any enemy (and the entire world along with it) in one hit. Knowing that, how come no one ever saw him unleash even a tiny fraction of this Noble Phantasm's true power? Well, he has his own reasons...
which will be revealed in the next episode.
