Anyway, for Charles the Fat, he was born in Germany but spent most of his time in France. Going by the canon Lancelot (born in France but spent most of his time in Britain, listed as British), France seems the way to go.

Despite not being anywhere near as powerful, Xtabay's serpent form, granted to her with her transformation, has fairly large rank-ups and is able to produce something like a proto-Dragon Breath, though not nearly as powerful, of the poison attribute.
Espionage A: For her, this manifests as the capability to appear as merely a beautiful and friendly woman, as opposed to a Servant. However, if her true name is revealed, then it will no longer work on anyone who knows it.

Her entire body becomes covered in layer after layer of cactus thorns, acting as a powerful defensive tool akin to the armor of a hedgehog. In addition, her hair blooms into a flower, constantly spitting out wave upon wave of noxious mist bearing the attribute of poison.

Lore: Xtabay was once a beautiful and chaste, but haughty woman, Utz-Cotel, who was rivals with a beautiful and kind, but not chaste, woman, Xkeban. People shunned Xkeban for not being chaste and ignored her kindness and charity, but worshipped Utz-Cotel for being chaste, despite her cruelty and haughtiness. When Xkeban died, she transformed into a beautiful vine flower. So Utz-cotel haughtily declared that she would be even more beautiful. However, she wasn't when she died. Instead, she transformed into a horrific-smelling cactus flower. So she made a deal with a being, to bring her back as a beautiful woman so that she could become a beautiful flower. However, she didn't come back properly, instead losing her remaining morals and transforming into the cactus demon Xtabay. She originally merely seduced people, any people, to come by, before eating them. However, she eventually was forced and later grew to enjoy only destroying criminals.

Personality: A haughty, sadistic, and utterly merciless being. Anyone that she sees who has commited a crime that she sees as "enough" will be immediately marked for death by her. She absolutely adores utilizing Espinas to torture people, racing up to them and hugging them while covered in thorns. Her wish for the grail, though, is that she is able to reincarnate. Then, she believes, she could properly become a beautiful flower.

Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

While a youth, Maximilian sought out experts in the occult in order to learn of their craft, but in the end piously refused to use it. Rather than be tempted by the “powers of occult”, he "righteously stayed true to the truth of the Lord”.


Riding A :
Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. At A Rank, all vehicles and all creatures but those of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast-rank can be used as mounts. This rank is high enough to have an aptitude for the Rider Class. Renowned for his chivalrous skills, he was a champion of knightly combat.

As it turns out, horseback jousting duels are his favorite pastime.

In addition, there is a small chance he may be able to identify Heroic Spirits by the designs of their weapons or armor.

As a patron of the arts, Maximilian commissioned hundreds of works of art made through woodblock prints, painting, literature, music, weapons, and even gave armor the succor of artistic passion, raising the mostly pragmatic practice into the limelight of true decadence; bringing the Renaissance to Germany. An artistic passion that drove an Empire into debt. In the Ruler Class, this fact would instead bolster the True Name Discernment Skill.


Cœur d’Acier B :
A Composite Skill of Determination of Steel and Tactics.

This sobriquet is the price for his warlike ruling style. His ambition for a globalized monarchy resulted in a rule that was a continuous succession of war. It is the weight of lives he has taken for his ambitions, hardening his heart against the horrors of warring and yet also burning to accomplish the then-unprecedented, though his success is variable. It is both a burning stain and scar etched onto his Saint Graph. It is worth noting that while his will might not compare to a certain man, he was capable of “herculean feats of bureaucracy” every day of his adult life. Creator of the Landsknechte, “impresario” of the battlefield, Machiavelli lauded his capacity as a warlord as second-to-none.

Horrors do not cow him, acts of terribleness are not foreign to him, feats of cruelty are not beyond him. Though kind, generous, and light-hearted, he has the glamor of a killer.


Holy Knight King B :
A composite Skill of Holy King and Eternal Arms Mastery.

Provides a kingly Charisma, improved attacks against the demonic, improved defenses against non-Saint Divinities, aptitude for weapons of the holy attribute, and guarantees his skills will be unblemished by mental interference.

Holy Roman Emperor, the so-called head of Christendom though yet not the pope himself. Maximilian would have taken that seat, too, if he had the chance. Restoring the Order of Saint George, and preparing for crusade against the Ottomans, his dreams of holy greatness would be curtailed by financial difficulties as much as his other campaigns were. Though he was never crowned by the Pope, he still gave his assent to Maximilian’s rule.

As detailed in Freydal, he is unquestioned champion and victor of innumerable duels, a master of weapons. His way of battlefield movement was applicable to dance, innovative and ahead of his time, propelling him forward in the status of chivalric virtue. There are others who may claim to be the ‘Last Knight’, but none are so final as him. Not only is the title more popularly attached to his name, and not just because he is the last to be regarded as so chivalrous, but because he is the reason they are no more.

An ability that belongs to the very first exploiter of media. A Noble Phantasm that has the potential to make the concept of “fame boost” irrelevant. In life, Maximilian I utilized every means at his disposal in order to establish himself and his dynasty as the premier and most prestigious family in all Europe. So thorough was his exploitation of propaganda that it is truly impossible to determine what German history leading up to the period of his rule is real or exaggerated. Monumental works of art dedicated to glory both his and familial, his greatness is the height of falsehoods. A pinnacle existing only on parchment.

Where other Servants keep their True Names a most coveted secret, Maximilian has the luxury to carelessly divulge it. This is because the more information that is known about Maximilian, the stronger he becomes. However, it is not simply a matter of providing rank ups to his stats. Of the Emperor of Media who used every asset at his disposal to cement his legend in human history, it can be said that “cementing oneself in history” is part of that legend. That is the true identity of this Noble Phantasm. The more people that are aware of his existence, the more he is cemented in human history, and the greater heights he achieves. This includes fabricated stories, falsehoods, even boldfaced lies. If there is enough local awareness and especially belief in “information” about him, then the criteria of being “cementable” is fulfilled, and he gains the benefits of that anecdote in a way not too unlike a spontaneously acquired Skill. He can pressure the process a little bit with a bit of magical energy, and insist some benefits be temporarily acquired even if they’re not “cementable”. Due to the nature of this Noble Phantasm “cementing that which is not cemented”, its effects require a constant stream of magical energy to maintain that gets more demanding over the accumulation of abilities.

At first glance, this Noble Phantasm is easily mistaken for the All Kinds of Talents or Imperial Privilege Skills. In a way, it can be called a compounding Imperial Privilege.

Although, strangely enough, the Golden Rule never really sticks.

Currum Matrimoniale: O’ My Love, Forever I Shall Chase Thee

A lavisiously decorated carriage designed by the renowned artist: Albrecht Dürer. Crafted for the purpose of celebrating long after the occasion of his marriage to Mary of Burgundy, it is pulled by four horses who are driven by an angel of victory, and adorned with accouterments of love and grandeur. On its sides are depicted the ancestors of both Maximilian and Mary, coming together in the joining of houses Habsburg and Valois-Burgundy.

The day Maximilian knew he was to be wed to Mary of Burgundy was a day of clandestine fate. A landless King, his only title marked him as successor to his father the Holy Roman Emperor, and yet the most eligible bachelorette in all of Europe chose to marry him. He resolved himself in the moment of reading the letter that he would love her utterly, and departed with all haste. It was a match destined to be made, as the two fell deeply in love. Even so depicted in the story of Theuerdank, a love that he would fight wars over.

That legendary love, that delicate promise unbroken, the great conviction to even go to crusade if it meant its consecration. No barrier shall keep Maximilian from his target. For his love, for his treasured person, he would reach them through any obstacle. A carriage of love that penetrates any barrier, army, or attack. A ride that brings Maximilian to his enemy, all for his beloved.

Originally typed as Anti-Army, but through some method he's given it a more unique typing. "This makes more sense, doesn't it?" Or so he says.

Ehrenpforte Maximilians I: Glorious Testament Upon a Fleeting Monument

Thus, Maximilian underscores his authority.

This Noble Phantasm lies not in a single arch, but in their proliferation. Duplicate arches can be placed on any surface as long as there is enough space for the whole product to be displayed. Upon invocation of its True Name, these arches are activated, and link together to establish Maximilian’s territory. A territory that he rules with absolute authority as the greatest of Emperors like he so desires. This territory acts as a proof of connection to the distant past, to link Maximilian to the legendary bloodlines of yore, to in him inherit the legacy of long-passed greatness. Effectively, this means that his personal mystery skyrockets to match that of the most ancient glories. An absolute ascendance which enforces his ambitions and existence in a manner to make that which may have once been impossible, possible. His Noble Phantasms are maximized within this territory. Designed to be spread amongst his subjects, its architecturally impossible splendor so invokes in the beholder the feeling that within any moment that the Emperor himself might arrive in triumph. So it is that within his territory, Maximilian is resplendent in the glimmer of triumph.

The arch is missing a particular detail: the tomb of Maximilian I. A feature added after his death in later printed editions of the arch, originally it lacked that cemented event. Within this territory, it becomes so once again. In other words, Maximilian gains resistance to instant death effects and a boost to his stats. All that is needed to, as his motto dictates, go “through so many dangers”.

The territory is anchored in the duplicate arches that formed it. Thus, it can be destroyed if enough of them are as well. However, it is not defenseless. There is one last feature of these prints that give them one last peculiarity: towards the lower right of the arch is a line of three shields showing the coats of arms of Stabius, Kölderer, and Dürer; the creators of this print. Without these three, this arch would never exist. Thus it is eternally marked with their signature. It can be said that these three in some way reside within the artistry. Thus there is a triple-layered barrier that protects it. For their King whom they loved, this monument was devised. Therefore, depending on various factors, these arches are as fleeting as their devotion.


And now, it is time to keep my promise!
Magna Currus Triumphi: Illusion of Eternity Carried Forth by a Dream

Maximilian’s triumphal procession, for which this carriage was the centerpiece, was "not an ordinary triumph, but one also of philosophy and morality".

It is an invincible carriage, the manifestation of his ambition and splendor, his dream of a global empire given shape. His dreams of patron-hood and status as Apollo Musagetes to Germany. Uplifter of the German people into the renaissance, investor of culture and science. A herald of progress, championing for the endless march into the future rather than lamenting the cycles which declared the past. With this carriage, Maximilian will break all from the shackles of pastward gaze, freeing humanity from the vicious cycles with the very embodiment of progress. A chariot that represents the ascension inherent with the end of worldly glory and the beginning of eternal fame, denying the end and the degradation in the face of renounced acceptance. Acquiring the absolute splendor of being the inheritor of Rome, carrying the torch of civilization forward, he gains access to the Imperial Regalia. Or at least, notably faithful replicas. Thus he ascends to the heights and status of the immortal gods.

But, most importantly, this chariot is a promise. A promise made to a dear friend that was plagued by paranoia and impending doom. "I still have the gift you left me. The world will not end, this I swear."

In a typical Holy Grail War, this Noble Phantasm would be far too costly to truly consider using outside of his territory. This epitome of the defiance of endings carries far too much weight for any normal Master to handle.

Is the Anti-Oblivion type real? "It is the last gift of my oldest and dearest friend. Thus, there cannot be anything wrong with it!" Perhaps he had a hand in this one as well.


Creator's Notes
I made this before the release of Traum, so obviously a particular Skill may seem a little off.

Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I is insane. Like, seriously insane. There is SO MUCH to him, that it was very hard to settle on a particular class. So I chose this one. It's grand and wondrous, and everything that I enjoy about making larger-than-themselves characters. Truly, his greatness is true in it's descent from false legacy, but legendarily so.

For those wondering about the specifics for his last NP, it has to do with Albrecht Durer, whom a friend of mine has made a Foreigner of. As the two were really close friends, we had a lot of fun making a little bit of a synergistic "extra meaning" to his Great Triumphal Carriage.

I sure am happy that people like Ernst Udet. I spent way too long stressing about how to write him properly, seems like that time paid off. I probably won't be able to top that with the eventual Red Baron, but I'll try.

As for my favourites from the past Milestone, I really enjoyed Random's recent F/lc sheets and my two absolute favourites in the past fifty is definitely Pinetree's Watcher Yibb-Tstill, that one was weird. But the best kind of weird and I love it. The other is DelRey's Gatekeeper Elisabetha Hevelius. Just a really great sheet that was very well written. The small bit of interactivity, I thought, was really cool as well.

Me, DelRey, still gatekeeps the Gatekeeper Crown with 4 Servants and 1 Redux. But I call out pinetree and Royd to challenge me! gimme more of your badass GKs.

A mysterious man named Morg van Destro wears the Mask of the Fakers with 4 Servants. But Royd pumped out 3 Fakers in a short period of time. Someone is going for it and stands with me beside the throne.

I still pretend that it matters because I hold the Pretender Crown! Do not fight me, Morg!

Wtf, there has been a lot of movement! I now share the Seat of Voyagers with Nuclear and Royd!

Somehow I still retain my Foreigner Kingdom but once again Royd marches forward 9 Servants against my 10 with 4 Reduxes!

Rey-Coin to the Moon! I gained the MoonCancer Title now that I have 2 sheets under my belt. But its more like 1.X because my first one is a bit weird.

No altercations yet, Wyvern retains the AlterEgo and Lover position with 5 and 6 Servants each.

Royd saves his Saver position and adds one more Servant to his lead. 5 Servants. He also holds a position on the Table of Beasts.

Barely any changes for this Milestone. BnEl and Kamera kicked Vance from the Watcher Throne while Kamera is plotting his regicide against BnEl15 who is plotting the regicide against Faker King Morg. RIP Notorious B.N.L
Else, I gained a slight edge in the war for Voyager Crown and I cemented my place as the rightful King of Foreigners.

Voyager of the Storm A: She was the captain of a powerful group of pirates. This skill allows her to ride ships extremely well. It also encompasses Charisma and Tactics at the same rank.

Queen of the Pirates B: She was well known as the undisputed leader of the pirates from the western Mediterranean. This skill manifests in her as a commanding aura, which grows in effectiveness against thieves or criminals.

I Will Not Move B: The sublimation of the fact that her marriage was the first wedding of a Moroccan king which was outside of the capital, said to be Sayyida showing that she would still govern her subjects despite marrying the king. This manifests as an aura around her that makes her weight appear to be far heavier then it truly is whenever anyone is trying to forcibly move them.

This noble phantasm is the manifestation of her title of queen and her skills as a Privateer. When activated, it allows her to create a mount, a pirate ship, manifesting out of water and made out of water. Naturally, she needs a source of water to activate this, though it does not matter how much she has, even a single drop of it would be enough to activate a miniature version of this. It is capable of melding into water and reshaping itself as Sayyida wills.

This noble phantasm is the sublimation of her alliance with Barbarossa. When its true name is called, her ship dissolves into a whirlpool, sucking in any being that comes close. In addition, around her appears the aura of eight heads, each of which will rear at any enemies that approach her, reminiscent of the myth of Scylla and Charybdis.


Lore: Sayyida al-Hurra was the child of a pair of Andalusian nobles, who fled Spain when Ferdinand and Isabella conquered Granada. She was taught by several extremely famous teachers, and gained an excellent education. She married Sidri Al-Madri II, the governer of Tetouan and a family friend. When he died, she took over as ruler of Tetouan. Meanwhile, she had turned to piracy as part of her wish to avenge herself against the enemy. She was well-respected by the European royalty, especially in Spain and Portugal. She also made a deal with Hayreddin Barbarossa, the famed admiral, where they split the Mediterranean as their territory.

Personality: She is brave and highly dangerous, giving off the feeling that she is constantly in control of every conversation. She abhors anyone who doesn't follow her rule. She especially dislikes other rulers who think that their rule is greater then hers. Her wish is that she captured Granada back in life, so her family and friends were able to truly return to their home.

Thank you for your feedback, Royd! I have removed Gale's Plunder and replaced it with I Will Not Move. I have also changed her first noble phantasm to be more "Ship that constantly reshapes" as opposed to a more generic ship.
