Did I make him broken? Did I make his Noble Phantasms too powerful for his types of feats? I hope not, but I have no clue. But if I did...sorry. I just thought not only it'd be unique, but considering his personality, though he a support type Servant, he would want to have a way to fight even if it's not much, so that's why I let him basically "upgrade" himself whenever Kindergarten is deployed.
Ahem. But I got ahead of myself. This sheet.
My mom's a teacher, and I like to think a pretty damn good one at that, so I'm fond of teachers. So I thought I'd make one for prominent figures in education. I may or may not make more later on (and thus more Watchers unless I think of different Classes), but for now, Fröbel's the first I ran into that I got inspired to make.
I was unsatisfied with the wikipedia page, largely because it was sparse on info and it didn't give me much to make a personality. So I went and read "Autobiography of Friedrich Fröbel translated and annotated by Emilie Michaelis" which can be read on and downloaded from
gutenberg. With that, I got a better picture to actually write out his history and form his personality. However, because it's "cut off" before he actually makes kindergarten, details of his life closer to his death are sparser, and thus it lead to how I wrote his lore sections for this sheet. Also just because I was in the mood for it. As for his personality, while I am happy with what I decided after I read it, I'm not sure if I conveyed it too well... Mainly the "talks a lot but can take time to say it sometimes" part. You see I was basically trying to incorporate the part in the book that basically says "he wasn't actually good at talking with people or conveying his ideas" without losing the pattern of speech I gave him in Guess-A-Servant. So it ended up as "you see he can speak well it's just you might have a hard time either keeping up with him, waiting for him to speak, or just his general stubbornness and temper".
As usual, I hope the technical side is fine. Especially "Expert of Many Specializations" and his Noble Phantasms. I wasn't sure what exactly to list and how to list them for the former so hopefully it doesn't seem overboard or something. For the latyer, Fröbelgaben was originally a skill, but then I decided to make it an NP when it ended up being "gives master a skill tree". As I said for Kindergarten, I hope it's reasonable, or at least makes sense. Again, with how Fröbel is, though he is a teacher, he would be willing to use all at his disposal, and learn to add to that disposal, to actually fight instead of just being a mere observer. If you have any suggestions for changes, I'm more than happy to consider them. Speaking of changes though, I had originally thought of making him a Gatekeeper since his whoke schtick is teaching, then tought of actually using Wyvern's Extra Class, Teacher, but then found in DelRey's Extra Class comp about the interpretations of Watcher being either being a teacher and/or a surveillance class. And so Fröbel ended up a Watcher.
You probably noticed there are more images and colors to this sheet. Well, ai though that, since he's the founder of Kindergarten, that I'd in turn make the sheet more colorful and visually engaging just like a kindergarten. So yeah.
There are a lot of details from the autobiohraphy I couldn't outright mention in the sheet. Like the fact that he read the Avesta during his brief stint in prison, hence his interaction with the short queen, or that he calls Kindergarten his child because of this line from the book, "Oh if only I could think of a suitable name for my youngest born!" But it was either that, or brea the narrative flow for what I wrote. So I decided to just add them in when I could outside the lore.
I also wanted to add more to the relationships, but after going nuts of Ywain's, I wanted to keep it to a minimum.
Aaaand...I think that's it. I think.
I probably forgot something else I wanted to mention but eh. If I do remember, I'll edit it in later. I'm definitely glad to finish him. Took shorter than I expected it to (definitely shorter than Ywain's overall, by virtue of not having been as delayed as it).
