Personal SkillsMask of Many Skins (A Rank):This skill allows Assassin to alter the way his face looks. He can change it at a whim to what ever he wants. This skill replaces the Presence concealment skill as it acts by covering assassin physical identity. Though this skill also has the benefits of the Powerless Shell Skill but in bit lower of a rank. His can also put this skill on to others though they have to come back to him if they want to change it back. Or get stuck with the new face permanently

This skill came about as Assassin was one of the earliest leading partitioners of plastic surgery and was deeply involved with cosmetics as he figured that it was essential to health.

Anatomical Vision (B+ Rank): This skill allows Assassin to have an X-Ray like vision for the anatomy his targets. This skill works on humanoids and animal like creatures. Pranaphilia Edge (A+ Rank): On of his most famous treaties in the one on Haemophilia and how it works. Conforms into this conceptual skill that he applies a sort of bleed effect towards a targets Prana or Mana. That it would constantly drip out and considerably lower their mana reserves. To the point that the target would bleed out all of their mana.

The only limit to this NP is the amount of space that of this reality marble is about the average size of an operation room.

Misc LinesLikes: I always have an appreciation with the finer points of beauty and aesthetics. I like to be at least presentable towards people.

Dislike: Suicide, I know sounds like a generic but I have a harrowing experience with people like that. Those poor souls that think death is the only release. I know death is inevitable but I rather not see it thrown away so carelessly.

Holy Grail: It’s a rather simple wish, I want people of today to be more positive and happier from what I glimpse in the Throne of Heroes. Today’s world is still full of depression and sorrow. But I don’t know if the Grail can grant a wish that esoteric.

Event: Well, I will stand by here in case of anything happing towards you. Just enjoy the event the best you can.

Bond LinesBond Line 1: How are you doing master, you look a bit ragged. Maybe you get your face fix up a bit. No, I don’t a facial surgery just some moistures would do the trick for you.

Bond Line 2: I must say, I appreciate the expansive facility that Chaldea has in terms of their medical equipment. I am glad that humanity has advance some much in the field of medicine.

Bond Line 3: It seems, you enquired some level of stress. Just sit down and try to relax a bit. I know that the fate of this world is resting on your shoulder. But rushing in like what you often aren’t ideal, I see you want second opinion. Most of the medical team here servant or not would agree with me on this.

Bond Line 4 (After Solomon): You missed him don’t you, master. I can see it in your eyes. I feel you the moment that he just let go of his life like to be gone and thrown away from the very fabric of history. I to felt bitter, he was a jovial fellow and I greatly enjoy his company. But rather than let that put us down we should strive to better in honor of his memories.

Bond Line 5 (After Olympus): Master, don’t give us that look. Nor that weary smile. you been through a lot and there’s plenty of blood in your hands. I can see, the tears building up in your eyes. Don’t try to hold in much longer, It’s bad for you. Just let it out Master. No one is going to judge you for it at least I won’t judge you for it.

Relationships Asclepius: I admire your enthusiasm to advance the field of medicine. But I rather not scar people of their minds to do it. You basically just trading physical health with mental health one can’t live without the other.

Florence Nightingale: Please nurse easy with that hack saw, Okay. There is a more proper way to this and let’s not jump the gun as they say.

Mebd: Could you stop sending random women into my office. Like every time they came to me and ask me about plastic surgery and every time I asked why. They say you peer pressure them to come to me. I appreciate you looking out for your friend’s beauty but this not the way to about it

Rufaida Al-Aslamia: It’s been a pleasure to work with you. Though I must say from your procedures you are more akin to Nightingale move around from one place to the next rather being coop up in a room.

Sunan Gresik: For being a so-called professor your healing methods are more akin to shaman than that of a doctor. I am not saying there is not any merits to your practice but I am sure like 70% of your cases were placebo cases.

Ibn Sina:: I have heard of your exploits on the other side of the Islamic world when I was alive. But it is good to finally meet the man himself face to face.

The Smile of a Fragile Girl

There she stood on the side walk a girl like any other.

But the look in her eyes became bleaker day by day.

But I never wonder what going on in her mind and just went about my business

Until that fateful day, I found leaning against the wall with a knife lodge in her throat.

I ran after her, and began to operate on her.

It was the most nerve-racking experience that I have.

Eventually I save her, and prop her back to health.

There she gave me the most beautiful smile that precious smile.

Is the one will treasure to ends of time

    Class: Foreigner
    Other Classes: N/A
    True Name: Percival Lowell
    Alignment: True Neutral
Place of Origin: America (19th century)

    Parameters:

    STR: D
    END: B
    AGI: C
    MGI: C
    LCK: C
    NP: A++

    Height: 190cm
    Weight: 170lbs
    Likes: Water
    Dislikes: Lam
    Talent: Creating canals in space
    Natural Enemy: Hokusai
    Attribute: Sky
Traits: Man, Divine, Humanoid, Weak to Enuma Elish
    Armament: Flood: Ketsueki Wareme
Catalyst: One of his books about canals, the theory of Planet X

    Class Skills:
Insanity (Complete) B: His mind has snapped as a result with having seen Lam. As he works, he may randomly go into fits where he gains the effects of Madness Enhancement or Mental Pollution at the same rank.
Divinity C+: Lam itself isn't an immensely divine being, but due to Aleister Crowley's worship of it, Lowell gains a rank of divinity that acts as greater whenever he is around a follower.
Existence Outside The Domain D: Lam doesn't exist very far outside the domain, living within the solar system, so Lowell gains a very low rank.

    Personal Skills:
Progress B: The ability to temporarily rank up stats through intense and focused meditation. The sublimation of his book, The Soul Of The Far East.

Planet Discoverer (Foreign) D: He was the first person to photograph Pluto, and as such gains this, but as he didn't recognise it as a planet, this has a lower rank. Provides him greater ability at identifying Foreigners.

The Way B: He is able to tap into Lam's very vast knowledge pool to essentially gain Eye of the Mind (True), Protection of the Faith (False), Eye for Art, Human Anatomy Discernment, or Psychology at rank B, but he can only have one at a time.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Flood: Ketsueki Wareme
    My Gaze Pierces The Sky

    Type: Anti-Fortress
    Rank: B
    Range: 100 Meters
    Max Targets: 1000

This noble phantasm allows him to create long tendrils out of his body, specifically his eyes, wrists, and shoulders. Each tendril allows him to channel his Mana through it, as it acts as an extension of his veins. But its true use comes whenever he injures anything with this. Immediately, waves of an eldritch fluid flood the "canal", boring away at whatever is there. He can also use this on the ground, creating large rivers of this eldritch fluid. It is the sublimation of his theory of Canals on Mars.

    Planet X: Mugen Juryoku
    My Grip Shatters The World

    Type: Anti-World
    Rank: A++
    Range: 1000 meters
    Max Targets: 10000

This noble phantasm is the sublimation of his theories on Planet X. When invoked, a titanic field surrounds him in the shape of a planet. As long as it is active, an immense pressure crushes anyone within it to the ground, except for Lowell. In addition, as this happens, a formation starts to appear underwards, sealing the people in place as the area and the world shatters upon this. This also temporarily breaks Gaia's will for that area.

Lore: Percival Lowell was an astronomer. He wrote several books about asian philosophy and mythology. He also believed that Mars had canals, that Venus had spokes (thought to be because of his blood vessels being magnified in the telescope), and that Planet X existed. However, when he was investigating Mars, he looked, and he Saw. the Truth, the Way, the Light, of all.

Personality: A maniacal person, obsessed about gaining the respect of those people who disbelieved his theories. He wants to prove them, but with Lam this has been twisted into shattering the world just to create false evidence. His wish is that mars actually had canals, and he knew it all along.

    Relationships:

Hokusai: "What do you mean you don't want me 'defacing' it? I just need to shatter it and 'prove' my theories."

BB: "Huh, the moon is a robot. What next, the mythological gods too?"

Artemis: "oh COME ON! What in Mars? How?"

  4. #8464
    Servant: Rider
    True Name: Jim Hawkins
    Aliases: Jimmy, Jimbo.
    Source: Treasure Island.
    Gender: Male.
    Height: 137 cm. (4’6”)
    Weight: 32 kg. (70 lbs.)
    Alignment: Neutral Good.
    Likes: Adventure.
    Dislikes: Grumbling old people.
    Weapons: Cutlass, flintlock pistols.
Traits: Brynhildr’s Beloved, Children Servants, Fairy Tale Servants, Hominidae Servant, Humanoid, Male, Riding, Servant, and Weak to Enuma Elish.
    Attribute: Man.

    Parameters:
    Strength: E
    Endurance: E
    Agility: B
    Mana: D
    Luck: EX
    Noble Phantasm: A~EX

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance – :
He does not have the ability to cancel magic spells.

With how well he avoids spells, to most magi, this would be a shocking revelation. To Jim Hawkins, luck and fate has always been on his side.

    Riding D- :
Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding.

Despite being a Rider, his ability to ride mounts is actually inept. He sails a small ship or rows a boat fairly enough, but anything else he would have to rely on his luck for. He’s more at home as an extra hand on a ship.

    Personal Skills:

Eye of the Mind (False) C :
A natural talent to foresee/sense and avoid danger on the basis of an innate 6th sense, intuition, or prescience. The accuracy of this instinct can be augmented by experience. The ability also grants an effect of offering resistance against penalties caused by visual obstructions.

The difference between Mind's Eye (True) and Mind's Eye (Fake) lies in that the former is an ability that humans can obtain through accumulation of experience. The Fake version is superficially similar, but in fact represents a natural instinct that cannot be obtained regardless of effort or experience—even though experience can refine its accuracy.

For Jim Hawkins, like a sixth sense his instincts always acted before he could think about why. Even if it may not make well enough sense to anyone at the time, the actions he takes are ultimately for the benefit of himself and his cause, even if he himself may not know it. It shows itself both in battle and outside of it.

    Golden Rule A- :
A Skill that refers to the measurement of one's fortune to acquire wealth.

Captain Flint’s treasure totaling 700,000 pounds sterling (£165 or $212 million in today’s currency). Each of the original crew which received an even cut were given the magnificent sum of £41 or $53 million in today’s currency.

As some sort of twist to his devilish luck, he is sure to run into a lot of obstacles along the way. Despite this, he will reach the treasure promised at the end of the road. It’s degraded slightly due to this and the presence of the Treasure Hunt Skill.

    Haphazard Planning C+ :
Jumping into the longboat with the mutineers, seeking Ben Gunn’s coracle, using it to cut the anchor line of the Hispaniola, and catching up to reclaim her. Jim Hawkins didn’t think any of these actions through, his only thoughts were to seek adventure. In hindsight, it was a miracle that his reckless adventuring didn’t result in misfortune for himself or his friends. Receives a bonus due to the Eye of the Mind (False) Skill, for this is in some ways similar to an instinct. He himself does not know to what end his plans are for, all that is clear is that something must be done about the current predicament. The boundlessly thoughtless whims of a boy seeking adventure, paired with exceptional luck.

    Independent Action C :
The ability to remain independent even when rejecting the Magical Energy supply from one's Master; the ability that allows for action even in the absence of the Master. Typically featured as a Class Skill of the Archer Class.

At higher ranks, it is also possible to remain for extended periods of time in this world without an established contract. It is both useful and troublesome depending on the disposition of the Servant and the rank of Independent Action. Acting in autonomy from the Master's Magical Energy supply, the Master can concentrate their own Magical Energy on large spells, or the Servant will be fine even in the case they cannot supply Magical Energy due to injury. The downside is that they can be harder to control and keep by their side, making the only true way to command them is by utilizing Command Spells.

At C Rank, it is possible for a Servant to stay in the world for one day without a Master.

Striking off so many times on his own for some plan or other, why, he must have spent one day independently on that island at least twice over. It wouldn’t be too wrong to say this is compensation for lacking the Magic Resistance Skill.

    Treasure Hunt A :
A fortune acquisition Skill specifically to track treasures. There is a high chance of discovering treasure when exploring.

As the first of all treasure hunters, as long as there are clues and a direction to follow, he will reach the treasure in the end. Sailing over the sea, marching across the land, fighting and killing mutineers, his luck preserves him until that destined moment where the hunter may behold their riches. He taught him that much, at least.

“What do you mean only one pirate actually buried their treasure?”

    Noble Phantasms:

    Hispaniola: Lone Vessel Treasure Fleet
    Type: Anti-Treasure
    Rank: C
    Range: 20
    Maximum Targets: 50 people.

“You never imagined a sweeter schooner--a child might sail her--two hundred tons; name, Hispaniola.” –John Trelawney

The Hispaniola is a schooner, a ship usually with two masts (foremast and mainmast), but she in particular has a third (mizzenmast). The word ‘schooner’ derives from 'schoon’, which means to move smoothly and quickly. By default she flies the colors of the Union Jack, but there’s a Jolly Roger on board as well.

“She’ll lie a point nearer the wind than a man has a right to expect of his own married wife, sir.” –Alexander Smollet

Where this Noble Phantasm lacks in destructive power, she makes up for in speed and endurance. The Hispaniola, when a course is charted, will move along it faster than any other ship. In addition, no matter the vicious fury of storms, she will hold together strong. Against all obstacles she will sail onwards until she falls apart. From the outside she looks no different from any other schooner, and indeed the interior much the same. However, for her cargo hold, there is an unending space to store wealth. To all observers who enter, her dimensions appear to be consistent with the exterior of the ship, which causes most to not suspect her bottomless storage until absurd amounts have been placed within or removed.

“We had some heavy weather, which only proved the qualities of the Hispaniola. Every man on board seemed well content, and they must have been hard to please if they had been otherwise, for it is my belief there was never a ship’s company so spoiled since Noah put to sea.” –Jim Hawkins

She’s the ship that seeks treasure, the vehicle by which adventurers are brought to their wondrous glory. Her purpose is not to kill her enemies, but to provide for her crew. For their sake, she will keep them all safe. She will give them all they need, bring them where they wish to go, supporting them with a silent smile while keeping nothing for herself. Like a mother would for her children.

    Treasure Island: Bone Grave Nowhere
    Type: Anti-World
    Rank: A~EX
    Range: 5
    Maximum Targets: Everyone in range.
The island of treachery that promises fortune. A nightmare that persists for the rest of his life.

Treasure Island, or Skeleton Island, is the place where Captain Flint buried his obscenely rich treasure. The six crewman, the only ones who knew for certain where it was located, were each murdered by Flint’s hand to keep it secret. Long John Silver, in his quest for the treasure, killed crewmembers of the Walrus and Hispaniola alike. Of the latter, its crew treacherously mutinied against their employers and then each other. The promise of such treasure, of such life of luxury that could be had afterwards, tempts the greed of all. It is a nowhere, a place that doesn’t exist manifested as the representation of a dream.

This Noble Phantasm is a mental world similar in nature to a Reality Marble created from the nightmares of Jim Hawkins, the boy who witnessed the darkness in men’s hearts that could be hidden behind bright faces. As a result, this normally dangerous island has been turned into a living nightmare. On a normal True Name release, all persons within range are pulled from consciousness into slumber, roped through the cracks of their psyche to enter the nightmares of Jim’s mind in a way not too dissimilar to a certain Chaldean’s dreaming wanderings. This is because the wonder of youth, that naïve ideal of a land of adventure with promises of glory and riches, should only exist within a dream. However, should certain conditions be met, this nightmare can be overlaid on top of the texture of the world and override the surroundings to bring it into reality. If this is done instead, then the targets are not pulled into the dream, for they will be living a waking nightmare. Fatal injury within the nightmare results in the true death of the dreamer.

There are many aspects to the island. To start with, there is an enchantment that persists in all environs thereupon that seeps into the psyche of all persons within the nightmare. It is a prodding stimulation of the person’s greed, making them subtly aware of the riches that can be found here. This can be pushed to irrationality, such as making the absurd connection that with enough money they can accomplish some currency-independent goal or desire. Eventually, it will reach the stage of an obsession, that the riches should belong only to them and no one else, causing paranoia and rifts to form in otherwise tight allies. The principal counter to this effect is becoming aware that it is happening, but it will never stop stimulating greed, making mental defenses critical to the maintenance of alliances containing the weak-willed. This is just the beginning.

“It was still quite early, and the coldest morning that I think I ever was abroad in—a chill that pierced into the marrow. The sky was bright and cloudless overhead, and the tops of the trees shone rosily in the sun. But where Silver stood with his lieutenant, all was still in shadow, and they waded knee-deep in a low white vapor that had crawled during the night out of the morass. The chill and the vapor taken together told a poor tale of the island. It was plainly a damp, feverish, unhealthy spot.”

The very climate of the island isn’t kind to visitors. Mists and fogs disorient the senses, making it very difficult to accurately traverse in the mornings. When the sun is high the heat bakes those standing under it, making it dangerous to travel during the day without enough fresh water. When it was night the cold dampness threatened hypothermia, making wandering at night a frigid dare. It’s an environment that either drives people mad with its dangers, breaks them into compliance, or kills them for recklessness. Even worse, it’s very likely for unadapted people to catch diseases if they’re not careful enough. Thankfully, the wildlife are normal enough that it is possible to survive. After all, Ben Gunn did so alone for three years. The worst is to come…

In the night and misty mornings the ghosts of hunters past, seekers of Captain Flint’s buried treasure, all those killed souls in the search for the fortune of a lifetime haunt this place. The spirits of pirates, wraiths filled with a vengeful jealousy towards the living, for they cannot possess the object of their desires forevermore. Betrayers and the betrayed, all now stand guard in the impossible hope to one day hold what they shall never reach. They may be defeated, but cannot be permanently dispatched, returning the next night. After all, they exist in a dream. The only thing that can kill a dream is a dream eater, or for the dreamer to wake. The strongest of them is the ghost of Captain Flint himself. In death he protects his treasure, patrolling this island, allowing not a soul to take it even though it has no use to him anymore. The ghost of Captain Flint, more bloodthirsty than Blackbeard ever was, is on the level of a Servant. He has an intelligence to him that the other ghosts do not, and can direct them. However, unlike the other ghosts, he does not vanish after being defeated, instead endlessly reforming. In addition, Captain Flint patrols through all hours, never resting and always watching. There is still more…

“I have never seen the sea quiet round Treasure Island. The sun might blaze overhead, the air be without a breath, the surface smooth and blue, but still these great rollers would be running along all the external coast, thundering and thundering by day and night; and I scarce believe there is one spot in the island where a man would be out of earshot of their noise.”

Escape from Treasure Island is impossible. Not just because of the rough currents, but because of the nightmares of Jim Hawkins. The island haunts him. Even now as a Heroic Spirit, he cannot truly escape from his experiences there. Thus anyone that finds themselves on the island becomes trapped. Ships, boats, rafts that sail out to the sea are smashed with waves until destroyed or beached. Those that do not are turned around and returned to the island. Those who fly away are similarly turned around by winds or storms. Functionally, once you have entered the space of Treasure Island you become isolated from the rest of the world. At last…

There are only two ways to be permitted to escape Treasure Island. The first is to kill Jim Hawkins. The second is to find Captain Flint’s treasure. There are three caches on the island: the store of silver bars on Foremast Hill, the weapons between Foremast and Spyglass Hill, and the bulk of treasure located southeast of Spyglass Hill. The first two are handy prizes for the purposes of what they can be used for while remaining on the island, but it’s the latter that must be discovered in order for escape to become possible. Only when this bulk is loaded onto a vessel of some sort will that vessel and all those aboard be allowed to leave Treasure Island. However, this will surely result in the wrath of Captain Flint, who will stop at nothing to track down the offenders to kill them and reclaim his treasure. If they manage to evade him and leave the island, if they were a dreamer, they shall awaken back in the real world having returned to their bodies. However, they may discover that time has not passed as much in the real world as on the island. After all, a dream merely lasts a night. Anyone left behind is doomed to remain until either Jim Hawkins dispels the Noble Phantasm, or they die.

I've been making Servants for a few years now, but I made an account finally because I really wanted to start sharing and seeing what people think. This is my first post on the forum, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Hey, everyone! Sorry for disappearing for so long. College has been kicking my ass, and work has also been more than a little annoying. But I have finals today and tomorrow, so I’ll update the OP probably tomorrow afternoon.

    Class Skills:
Independent Action A: As a king, he has a fairly high rank in this skill. He can act independently for a fairly long time without the mana supply of his master, even possibly being able to unleash his Noble Phantasm's true name without them.
Magic Resistance C: A rank unfitting for a member of the Knight Classes. Despite him having encountered magic several times in his life, he was during the late Age of Man, and even though he was in a place which held out for longer, the degradation of mystery has lowered this a lot.
    01100101

    Personal Skills:
Road Network B: As he moves, a network of roads spiral underneath his feet, clearing the path for his allies and people. He revitalized the Inca road network, so on roads that are already built, he gains a Rank-Up to agility. Of course, he prefers to clear the entire region first, although this may also help his enemies find him.

Soothe Starvation C: The sublimation of the storehouses he built to prevent starvation. He can store his mana within a certain area, being then able to withdraw it and give it to anyone he wishes to. He is very generous with this, though, so care has to be taken by his master to make sure that he doesn't expend too much of his own mana.

Sapa Inca B: A fusion of Divinity and Imperial Privilege. He was one of the Sapa Inca, god-emperors who ruled their people. This Imperial Privilege allows him to take on skills such as Mana Burst (Flame), Military Tactics, Madness Enhancement, Healing Magic, or Mountaineer.

    Yawar Goka
    00101110
    Blood Rains Down

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: C
    Range: 100 Meters
    Max Targets: 100

This noble phantasm is his slingshot, which qualifies him as Archer, and the sublimation of the lake he dyed with blood. It shoots balls of bloody water. When its true name is invoked, he tosses a ball up into the air, and torrential blood rain falls down within the area. Each drop isn't very powerful, but enemies will almost always get hit by more then one. In addition, as this rain eats away, the blood spilled within the area collects into a red sun, which then falls down, creating massive flooding within the area.

Lore: Huayna Capac was the eleventh Sapa Inca of the Incan empire. He was a warlike king, conquering many areas and even at one point, slaughtering so many people at a single lake that its waters turned as red as blood. However, he also revitalized the roads and saved many of his people from starvation through the storehouses he founded.

Personality: A genuinely kind and helpful person. His warlike nature has faded upon his summoning, due to his belief that it was his wars that drove his children to believe that was the right answer and shatter the incan empire, although he is still willing to fight. His wish for the grail would be for his children to not fight each other.

    Relationships:

Columbus: "Your kind destroyed my kingdom. So though I have sworn off war, you shall still be my prey. Yawar Goka!"

Iskandar: "Huh, a fellow great king. I would like to discuss our leading styles, if you don't mind."

Geronimo: "I know your people are proud of you, warrior. I, your emperor, am also extremely proud of you."

You did some great servants Jishara. Like the small banter that you up especially with Percival Lowell with B.B and Artemis. Like the sheer shock factor he had with the robotic nature of the celestial object. Though, If I have one criticism for you is that you don't really space your skills and traits and it could be an eyesore to read at times.

    Saber of the Unfulfilled Oath
    -- Praying for a Distant Future --

"Servant Saber, Shinsengumi's First Unit Captain, Okita Souji, reporting for duty. So you must be my superior, yes? Then point me to a target and let's get this over with. This time around, I swear to fight by your side until the bitter end."

    Class: Saber

    True Name: Okita Souji
    Alignment: True Neutral
    Origin: Japan (19th century)

    Parameters:

    STR: C
    END: E
    AGI: A+
    MGI: E
    LCK: D
    NP: C

Likes: Public order and safety, fighting alongside his comrades
    Dislikes: His illness
    Talent: Swordsmanship
Natural Enemy: Hijikata Toshizo, Serizawa Kamo
Armament: Katana (Kojiki Kiyomitsu and Kiku Ichimonji)
Catalyst: His katanas, his old Shinsengumi uniform

    Class Skills
    Riding (E)

This Skill is a given for most Sabers, but due to there being no record of him ever using a mount, he's been given the Skill in its lowest rank.

"Hey, I totally rode horses at one point! I think!"

    Magic Resistance (E)

The Saber class usually boasts high Magic Resistance, but due to the fact that he lived in a time that had very little Mystery, his Magic Resistance Skill is very weak and unreliable. It is just a token addition to identify his Class.

"Did people even use magecraft in the Bakumatsu-era to begin with? Some of the more superstitious folks might still believe in Feng Shui or other stuff like that, but in general, western firearms were far more popular than ancient occult rituals by that time."

    Personal Skills
    Shukuchi (B)

A technique to instantly reduce the distance between himself and the opponent. The ultimate walking technique many martial arts try to achieve. It’s not pure quickness, it’s a perfect combination of multiple phenomena, like walking techniques, defensive body movement, Breathing and blind spots. If it reached it’s highest rank (A), it would no longer be a simple technique, it would become dimension hopping, something on the realm of Xianshu (Senjutsu).

"I... might have gotten a little rusty on that front, ever since that accursed illness confined me to bed. Still, it's nothing a few rounds of practice can't fix! Just give me some time to regain my bearings, and soon enough, it'll be another great victory for Okita-san~!"

    Mind's Eye (Fake) (A)

The ability to evade danger through instinct or a sixth sense. The ability to predict danger through natural talent. Also bestows resistance to obstruction of one's sight.

"I do consider myself a prodigy, even among my esteemed compatriots in the Shinsengumi. Ah, I mean no disrespect to them, of course. Talent can only get you so far. The rest of the way, you train and hone your instincts just like everyone else."

    Weak Constitution (A)

Natural weakness, frail constitution. In his case, as result of being modified by the impression he left for posterity in addition to the disease he had when in life, he received a curse similar to Innocent Monster, where the perception of the people in the future affects the existence of the Heroic Spirit. All of his actions come with the risk of a sudden status drop. Looking at the probabilities, it’s activation rate is actually not that high, but if it does activate during combat, the risks are catastrophic... or so he says.

"Oh yes, I've always known that I'm living on borrowed time. We're lucky that my illness hadn't shown itself even once ever since my summoning, but I doubt this luck would last forever. Even so, just once... I'd like to have a chance to fight with my friends until the very end, even if all that awaits me there is a meaningless death."

    Noble Phantasm(s)
    Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust
    Mumyou Sandanzuki

"...Fine, it's about time we end this. First step, silence... Second step, infinite suffering... Third step, a sword absolute! Mumyou, Sandanzuki!"

    Type: Anti-Unit Mystic Sword
    Rank: -
    Range: 1
    Max Targets: 1 person

A technique utilized by the extraordinary genius swordsman Okita Souji. It's not exactly a Noble Phantasm, but it's treated as such under certain summoning systems.

Consisting of a First Thrust, Second Thrust, and Third Thrust, it is a concealed sword that is produced by transcendent technique and speed from the stance of Hira-Seigan ("Turning the Edge Sideways and Aiming at the Eye").

Rather than "almost simultaneously", the thrusts occur "all at the same time". For an instant, the unleashed First Thrust, Second Thrust and Third Thrust "exists at the same time" and at the "same position". Even if the First Thrust was blocked, the Second and Third Thrusts would be at the same position and break through. The contradiction this causes creates a localized breakdown in causality at the point of the sword, making it virtually impossible to protect against this technique. Because of the resulting collapse of causal relationships, it is a technique that surpasses the simple destruction of material things. Sasaki Kojirou's Tsubame Gaeshi is a similar technique.

    Coat of Oaths
    Chikai no Haori

    Source

    Type: Anti-Unit (Self)
    Rank: C
    Range: 1
    Max Targets: 1 person

The official uniform worn by members of the Shinsengumi force in Kyoto during the Bakumatsu-era. It was notable at its time for having a pale blue-green colour and white triangle design that stood out from the normal browns, blacks and greys of warrior clothing of the period.

When equipped, it improves his parameters and ranks up his armament... or something like that.

    Flag of Sincerity
    Makoto no Hata

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: B
    Range: 1~50
    Max Targets: 1~200 people

One of the Noble Phantasms belonging to Okita Souji. It is the Shinsengumi troops' flag with the Japanese kanji "sincerity" (誠, makoto?) inscribed on it. Once this flag is raised, the Shinsengumi troops are summoned within a certain range of the flag. Each of the squad members is an independent Servant that do not have Noble Phantasms, and their combat capability is far from their best. Each member possesses an E- rank Independent Action Skill, the absence of a Master limiting their activity to a short period of time. It is similar to the King of Conquerors's Ionioi Hetairoi Noble Phantasm. However, the number of deployed squad members is rather small in scale and the rank as a Noble Phantasm is comparatively low.

...At least, that's what he tells you. Strangely enough, you've never seen him use this Noble Phantasm.

"Hmph, not that it matters anyway. Just this once, I'd like to try seizing victory with my own hands. Yeah, that's all there is to it."

    Lore
The one and only Okita Souji (1842-1868), First Unit Captain of the police force that was active during the end of the shogunate, the Shinsengumi. Of all the talented swordsmen in the group, he was revered as the strongest and the most skilled.
During his childhood, while he was still an apprentice at the Shieikan, the dojo of the Tennen Rishin-ryuu in Edo's Ichigaya area, Okita Souji met Hijikata Toshizo and Kondo Isami, core figures of the Shinsengumi in the future. He was skillful enough to serve as the head coach of the Shieikan at a young age, and there was no person superior to him in the talent with the sword.

Kondo formed the Roushigumi on behalf of being bodyguards for the Shogun in the third year of the Bunkyuu era (1861-1864), and Okita went to the Imperial Capital to participate in the group together with Hijikata. After the break up of the Roushigumi, Kondo formed the Shinsengumi together with Hijikata, and Okita was entrusted with the position of Captain of the First Unit.

Demonstrating their sword abilities in many conflicts like the Ikedaya Incident and so forth, the name of the Shinsengumi roared throughout Kyoto of the Bakumatsu era. However, Okita's body was adversely affected by an illness around that time, and his physical condition gradually deteriorated. Before long, he withdrew from the frontlines for medical treatment.

Afterwards, Okita continued his life of recuperation while separated from her comrades, he died at the place where he was medically treated in Edo's Sendagaya area. It is said that he died without knowing of Kondo's death, who was decapitated two months prior to his death.

    Description
A cool-headed, aloof swordsman with a strong sense of duty. As a manslayer who mercilessly cut down opponents of the bakufu, he understands that in the grand scheme of things, he's not so different from your average murderer. Occasionally, he may show a bit of discomfort at the prospect of spilling more blood than necessary, but at the end of the day, he regards these acts with cold indifference, believing them to be a "necessary evil" for the sake of "public order and safety". This same unwavering sense of justice would also lead him to murdering especially evil-aligned Masters with no hesitation the moment they proved to be a threat to that concept of "public order and safety".

Outside the battlefield, Saber acts a bit more laid-back around those he trusts. He may occasionally try to crack jokes, but the sheer gap between this side of himself and his usual manslayer persona tends to result in the joke falling flat and awkward stares directed at him. It doesn't help that his facial expressions and tone of voice usually feel extremely deadpan, making it difficult for others to differentiate between a sarcastic joke and a casual death threat.

His social awkwardness aside, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him a perfect soldier. His greatest wish as a Servant is to "fight until the bitter end"; the one thing he wasn't able to do in life thanks to his illness. He knows that his illness is etched on his very Saint Graph, and that he's probably living in borrowed time (although strangely enough, you've never seen him feeling the slightest bit ill), but for once, he wants to "reach out towards the future I never got to see in life".

    Relationships
    Oda Nobunaga:
"Eeeh!? This is THE Oda Nobunaga!? As in the Sengoku-era conqueror!? And you're telling me he's actually a she!? W-Well, I suppose it wouldn't be the first unexpected thing to happen ever since I've been summoned here, but... huh? What's with that strange look, Master?"

    Arthur Pendragon (Prototype), Miyamoto Musashi:
"Oooh, so that's what this is all about. You've met another version of me, and she's a girl? Well... you can consider me Okita Souji (Prototype)! I come from a distant world that never experienced GudaGuda events, so it's natural if my memories are a bit... fuzzy from time to time. Hm? Is that not convincing enough? I mean, that British King over there and that other Miyamoto-san got away just fine using this sort of backstory, so why shouldn't I?"

    Hijikata Toshizo:
"The Demon Vice-Commander is as scary as ever... still, I suppose I'll say hi while we're here. Hijikata-san, remember me? What are the chances we could meet again like this, huh? What's that? You... don't recognize me? Ahaha, good one. It really must've been a while since we fought side by side. It's me, Okita-san!"
"Okita... oh, right. That Okita, huh..."

    Kondo Isami:
"The Chief... since the Throne gave us a bunch of information upon our summoning, I finally learned what happened to him. Decapitation... it's a terrible way to go. I wonder if things could have been different had I been there..."

    Saito Hajime:
"If it isn't Hajime-san! I heard you made it past the war and into the Meiji-era! That's great! And you still used your sword to protect the people even then! Seriously, your life can't get any more impressive than that...I wish I could do the same back then... ah, apologies, I didn't mean to bring down the mood. Um, how about a spar? I could really use a bit of practice to get my body to move like it used to!"

    Okada Izo:
"A scourge upon the people of Kyoto. You're all nothing more than savage butchers moving under the guise of patriotism. I'd love to get my hands on your boss... Takechi-san, was it? But since he's not here... I suppose I'll clean up the small fry first in the meantime."

That's unbecoming for a member of the Shinsengumi, you know? Ahem, excuse me, it's just... I didn't think this day would ever come. Oh well, if that's the case..."

"My old Shinchogumi uniform, huh... tch, the Shinchogumi itself was a shameful stain on the history of Edo, but I suppose the uniform itself isn't all that bad. I'm definitely more used to wearing this over the Shinsengumi uniform, at least."

"Why I decided to impersonate my sister? Ahaha, now, now, 'impersonation' makes me sound like some sort of filthy siscon! I mean, I really was a member of the Roushigumi for some time, which would later become the Shinsengumi. That makes me some sort of... honorary member, if you squint! The haori itself is a real thing, as well as her two katanas, which came into my possession following... her passing. As for why, um... maybe it's a little childish of me to admit this, but I wanted to fulfill her final wish. To fight until the bitter end, and to welcome the future that awaited at the end of the war. I wanted to live, for her sake. That's... all there is to it."

Likes: His sister (in a perfectly normal sibling relationship), keeping public order

Catalyst: Okita Souji's belongings (has a small chance to summon him instead)

    Class Skills
    Camouflage (B)

A Skill that allows a Servant to disguise their Class and parameters. At this rank, it's enough to fool an opponent by appearing as a different Class with different parameters.

That said, Faker's qualification for this Class is deeper than mere association to the individual he's impersonating. His training as a swordsman truly did grant him Skills and parameters similar to that of Okita Souji, albeit at a different mastery level. Thus, a portion of this Skill's effects have been subsumed by his personal Skill, Inheritor of the Coat of Oaths.

"To be fair, I've always introduced myself as Okita-san of the Shinsengumi while wearing the uniform, and let my opponents fill in the blanks regarding my identity. They just never asked which Okita-san am I. Oh, by the way, please don't give me that weird look. Since the uniform came into my possession that one time, I got summoned with it here, so it's not like I'm parading around in my sister's uniform. That would be embarrassing."
    ...
"Eh? It just means that there are two copies of my sister's uniform around and I'm wearing one of them? N-Nonsense! Just... don't look too deep into it! This Shinsengumi haori is mine! Mine!"

    Riding (E)

A Class Skill denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Same with his sister, there's no record of him ever riding anything notable, so he's been given this Skill at its bare minimum rank.

"I do consider myself a bit more well-traveled compared to my sister, for... reasons I don't like to talk about. Still, I suppose the difference is minimal. It can't be helped, then."

    Magic Resistance (E)

Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Same with his sister, there's barely any magic left in the Bakumatsu-era, so this Skill is extremely weak.

"My sister always said that both magecraft and firearms are meaningless if you can just cut the enemy fast enough. She's not exactly wrong, but I worry about her recklessness sometimes."

    Personal Skills
Inheritor of the Coat of Oaths (A)

The true nature of his Coat of Oaths Noble Phantasm. A Shinsengumi uniform and a pair of katanas that arrived at his doorstep on that fateful day. It denotes the experiences of one who once walked the same path as the legendary First Unit Captain of the Shinsengumi, and inherited her "sincerity". Faker was raised alongside his adopted sister and received the same training as she did. While he never got to surpass the younger Okita-san, he's still a formidable swordsman in his own right.

Rather than merely allowing his skillset to appear visually similar to Okita Souji's, this Skill actually grants him all of Okita Souji's Skills (with the exception of Weak Constitution, which even he cannot replicate), albeit at one rank lower than they should be in the other Okita's case.

"Shukuchi, Eye of the Mind... yeah, I really am familiar with those techniques, you know. Back then, I'd even say I'm only second to my sister in swordsmanship! Our paths just diverged somewhere down the line. She continued to devote herself to fight for the bakufu, while I mostly kept to Edo with the Shinchogumi... At one point, I just felt like I lost that drive to catch up to her. I thought I could feel content with my average day-to-day life, and there's no need for me to be good at anything else beyond swinging my sword occasionally if needed. That's what I thought... until that day."

    Curse of the Shinchogumi (C)

Something of a "reverse-charisma" representing the rampant destruction brought by the Shinchogumi, an organization Faker once led. The Shinchogumi was initially formed as the Shinsengumi's Edo counterpart, a local police force tasked with keeping the peace... or so it should have been. As the war raged on and bakufu forces were pushed into the brink of defeat, dissatisfaction and unrest gradually brewed within members of the Shinchogumi, most of them supporters of the bakufu. Corruption and embezzlement began to run rampant within the organization. Worse, they were also responsible for a string of other incidents such as arson, extortion, and assault, as well as inciting their pro-bakufu supporters to do the same. Thus, the police force responsible for upholding public order in the capital soon became nothing more than a band of thugs that terrorized the people.

Faker cannot be entirely blamed for how everything turned out. However, many deemed him guilty by association. The people's animosity and negative perception towards the organization was etched deep in his Saint Graph, similar to Innocent Monster, ensuring that any organization or alliance he leads would fall to ruin. The process is gradual, but basically, this form of "reverse-charisma" encourages his subordinates' worst impulses just by being near him. Fortunately, this effect can be avoided so long as he does not assume a leadership position.

"I've always considered myself as something of a moderate. Well, I did support the bakufu, so I'm not exactly neutral either, but I didn't really care for the war going on in the front lines. I'm more concerned with the safety of the people in the capital. The ones not involved in the conflict. That was what the Shinchogumi was originally formed for. Sounds simple enough, don't you think? Protect the weak, make sure no harm comes to innocents... but those greedy, traitorous, moronic, savage pieces of trash somehow managed to take a simple code like that and spat all over it! Most of them were ronins and displaced peasants, people who had nowhere else to go. The Shinchogumi gave them a chance to become something more. To devote their blades to the creation of a better future. In the end... they turned that beautiful ideal into an abomination."

    Hospice Care (D)

The ability to care for the terminally ill, including knowledge of basic first-aid, numbing pain in others, and inducing a calming effect to their surroundings. It's not enough to heal mortal wounds or cure fatal illnesses, but it's just enough to ensure that their final moments would at the very least be a peaceful and comfortable one. An ability Faker unwillingly picked up from his sister's final days. It is a Skill that he normally refuses to talk about, much less use. Its rank could have been a bit higher, but it is limited to this level due to a certain "mistake" he made. He also refuses to talk about that topic.

"Do you have any idea just how bad it was, Master? Watching my sister's face grow even paler, and her touch even colder with each passing day, watching her waste away, never knowing if she would make it to the next day, dreading the arrival of that inevitable moment, all while there's so little I could have done to ease her suffering... Do you have any idea just how that felt!? I... ugh, can you do me a favor, Master? If you ever start to feel the slightest bit unwell, see a doctor. I don't care if it's Miss Nightingale or Sir Asclepius, or whoever else you've got on board. Just... see a doctor. Don't make me use this damned Skill ever again. Please."

    Noble Phantasm(s)
    Formless, Three-Stage Thrust
    Utsuro Sandanzuki

"Very well. This battle has gone on long enough. I'll cut you down here and now. First step, silence... Second step, infinite suffering... Third step, vanishing blade! Utsuro, Sandanzuki!"

    Source

    Type: Anti-Unit Mystic Sword
    Rank: -
    Range: 1
    Max Targets: 1 person

    An imperfect
    improvisation
    imitation
of Okita Souji's Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust. Similar to that one, this isn't exactly a Noble Phantasm, though it is registered as such under certain summoning systems.

As a Faker, the world registers Okita Rintaro's existence as that of Okita Souji. This Noble Phantasm relies on briefly throwing away the name Okita Souji to exploit a "glitch" in the world. The first two thrusts are identical to Okita Souji's, resulting in two strikes that hit the same position almost simultaneously (lacking the original's causality-altering ability). In the third thrust, however, he performs a slightly different maneuver that establishes himself as an existence "different from Okita Souji". These maneuvers may include striking at a slightly different angle, or landing a hit half a milisecond later than he was supposed to in the original technique, subtle movements normally invisible to the naked eye. This rejection of Okita Souji's special technique creates a "glitch" that subverts the world's expectation, causing his very presence and movement to be imperceptible for a split second as the world scrambles to identify his True Name. For this very brief moment, he is treated as "something that does not exist", making the notion of defending against his third thrust meaningless as "one cannot defend against a strike that does not exist". Visually, third-parties would see this Noble Phantasm as identical to the Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust. Especially perceptive targets may notice an oddity at the very last milisecond, as Faker seemingly blinks out of existence, abruptly followed by a stabbing pain.

As this Noble Phantasm is a simple sword-technique as opposed to anything mana-intensive, it's technically possible for Faker to chain it on different targets, taking out multiple enemies within seconds. However, the chance of failure steadily rises when used in rapid succession as the world needs time to reestablish his existence as "Okita Souji". Performing this Noble Phantasm without that effect would just make it an average, if quick, sword technique that most Servants could defend against. Incidentally, according to Faker himself, this Noble Phantasm deals increased damage the more the target is convinced that he is Okita Souji. Not because of any special modifiers, but simply because it would be easier to catch them off guard and expose their weak points in that case.

"Oh dear, looks like I overdid it again... No. I can't stop yet. This is a necessary evil for the sake of a brighter future. So that people like her wouldn't suffer anymore."

    Unfulfilled Sincerity
    Shinchogumi

"Nope. Never. You won't get a cool line out of me here. Don't even think of asking me to use this Noble Phantasm. Heck, there's nothing the slightest bit noble about them. Do that again, and my katana miiight just accidentally slip and end up in your neck. You wouldn't want that now, do you?"

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: C-
    Range: 1-200
    Max Targets: -

A dark echo of the Shinsengumi's Flag of Sincerity. A Noble Phantasm shared by every member of the Shinchogumi... or at least the very few people famous enough to make it to the Throne of Heroes, among them a swordswoman who once fought by his side. In essence, it summons members of the organization to act as familiars, although their manifestation depends on the summoner's perception of them.

In Faker's case, the Shinchogumi is a group of unruly savages who threw away their noble principles and burned down the very place they swore to protect. Reflecting this view, the members manifest as vaguely humanoid-looking wraiths set aflame. These wraiths freely roam the battlefield, attacking both friend and foe indiscriminately, the same way they would use their blades to cut down bandits and civilians alike. While they are weak individually, Faker cannot exert any control over them (which ironically proves his innocence, as most of the organization's more violent acts were led by another commander of the Shinchogumi, a man by the name of Sakai Tadazumi), forcing Faker to cut them down to stop them from leaving a blazing trail of rampant destruction wherever they go.

...As he said, just bringing up this Noble Phantasm's existence is enough to get him into a bad mood, if not worse.

    Lore
"My life story? You wanna hear something like that? Well, I don't mind. It's a bit boring, though. It doesn't have the action, the thrill, and large-scale battles you'd expect of a Bakumatsu-era samurai. You're better off asking my sister or Hijikata-san if you wanna hear that sort of thing. No? Hmm, fine. Let's take it from the top..."

    Act 1: Youth
There's nothing much to say about my childhood. I was born in Edo in 1826 as Inoue Rintaro. A distant cousin of Inoue Genzaburo, who'd later become another notable member of the Shinsengumi, but this story isn't about him. My parents died when I was young, and both me and my elder brother was taken in by Genzaburo's family. I grew up with them, and I spent my childhood doing errands for people around the city for some pocket money. Yeah, we're far from wealthy, but it's nothing I couldn't bear. As many other boys my age then, the sword has always been one of my favorite hobbies, and I spent a lot of time practicing it in my backyard. In my teenage years, I decided to pursue that career more seriously and trained in several dojos, always eager to polish my swordsmanship.

When I was twenty, in a lucky twist of fate, I caught the attention of Okita Katsujiro, a high-ranking samurai family when I was practicing my sword techniques. Impressed by my talent, he adopted me, and soon enough I married his daughter Mitsu. Thus, I changed my name to Okita Rintaro.

Mitsu had a sister. As you probably know, Okita Souji. Technically speaking, Sou-chan (don't call her that, and don't tell her I called her that) is both my sister-in-law and my adopted sister. Adoptions really do make family trees awkward. Anyway, Sou-chan was 16 years my junior, and it took a while for me to get used to my new family, but I loved her as a sister all the same. My foster father trained us together, and I even taught her some of my tricks. However, it soon became obvious to all of us that she was a prodigy. Her skills far exceeded mine before she was half my age then! I didn't mind at all, though. After more than a decade of practicing the art, I just figured that while I'm pretty good at it, there's bound to be someone who'd surpass me sooner or later. I just decided to improve in my own pace.

    Act 2: Roushigumi
Fast forward to 1863. Sou-chan was the first to raise her hand when the Roushigumi was recruiting. At the time, it was just a small peacekeeping force dedicated to protect the Shogun. Even so, father was happy with her decision. Not counting her sense of justice, joining the Roushigumi was sure to elevate the family's position in the eyes of the government... at least that's what father believed. Originally, he sent me to accompany her, but I'd be lying to say I wasn't excited for a chance to put my years of sword practice to good use. I even got cousin Gen-chan, er, Genzaburo to come with us.

It was October of that year when the three of us officially joined, alongside all the other new recruits. I met a whole bunch of new people there. Hijikata-san, Kondo-san, Serizawa-san... I'm sure you know the rest. Most of them later became renowned warriors in their own rights, but back then, we're all just men and women united under a common cause. We all came from all over the country, with all sorts of background, from noble samurai families to the sons of farmers, but we all believed in the Shogun's cause.

I spent a few months in Edo with the other recruits, just training and getting to know each other. Kondo-san, one of the more senior members of the organization, taught us his Tennen Rishin-ryu, an impressive sword style that would define us all for years to come. As expected of my sister, Sou-chan was quick to pick up these new techniques. Er, I'm no slouch either, though. I figured the Tennen Rishin-ryu was already naturally compatible to my existing style, so I just... expanded on what I already know.

Ahem, whatever the case, our training period ended on March the following year (1863), and we soon headed to Kyoto for our first job. I was totally ready to patrol the streets of the old capital, serving the shogun and fighting alongside my sister, my cousin, and our new compatriots... or so I'd like to say. Unfortunately, just a few days after we arrived there, some disagreement between the higher-ups led to the Roushigumi tearing itself apart. Kiyokawa-san wanted us to return to Edo, because leaving the capital unguarded was apparently a bad idea. Kondo-san and Serizawa-san would have none of it. They didn't want their adventure to be over before it even began, and the chance to serve under the shogun directly was too good to pass up. It even led to an argument between me and my sister. In the end, we couldn't reach an agreement. I figured that she's old enough to take care of herself anyway, so I decided to go back to Edo, while Sou-chan and Gen-chan stayed. The Roushigumi was done for on that day. Most of the big names there- Hijikata-san, Kondo-san, Saito-san, and the others- decided to remain in Kyoto and would later form the Shinsengumi, while the rest of us went back.

    Act 3: Shinchogumi
So that's that for the Roushigumi. I returned to my wife in Edo, became a proper father to the kids, and taught swordsmanship to local folks to feed my family. Still, I wanted to do... more, you know? My chance came a few months later, as news of the Shinsengumi's early exploits reached Edo. Seeing their success in Kyoto, rumors began to brew between the remnants of the Roushigumi- my old buddies- who returned to the capital. There was an idea. An initiative to create the Shinsengumi's counterpart in Edo to protect the capital and resist the advancing foreign influence. Apparently this movement was led by one of my close friends in the previous organization, an outspoken swordswoman by the name of Nakazawa Koto. I first learned about this news from her, and she told me they needed a leader. To keep things short, through one way or another, I ended up as one of the founding members of the Shinchogumi, a new police force established to uphold order in the capital. Standing beside me were Nakazawa-san and this other samurai named... Sakai Tadazumi.

For a while, things went great with the Shinchogumi! As per the old Roushigumi's customs, we wanted to be as inclusive as possible when it came to recruitment. We accepted everyone, men and women, rich and poor, young and old... so long as they're willing to pick up their sword and do the right thing for the sake of the country, the Shinchogumi would accept them. Most of our recruits were ronins and displaced peasants, people who had nowhere else to go. But I didn't mind at all.

...Looking back, I really was naive, huh?

    Act 4: Illness
Winter 1867. My peaceful days of managing the Shinchogumi and patrolling the streets ended on one cold morning, when Saito-san came to my house, all the way from Kyoto... carrying my sister with him. Said she collapsed during practice, or something like that. At first they thought it was just the weather, but when her condition wouldn't let up after a week, and she began coughing up blood, Kondo-san got her temporarily discharged until she's recovered.

I took a temporarily leave from the Shinchogumi and left Nakazawa-san and Sakai-san in charge while I took care of my sister. At first it was a nice reunion. She still wrote letters to us, but it's been a few years since we last met her. Since I left her in Kyoto back then. Even the kids were happy to have their aunt with them. Unfortunately, it soon became clear that it's more than a simple illness...

Over the next few months, I had to see my sister wither away, slowly and painfully. At first she just couldn't move as fast as she did before. Then she couldn't even stand without help, and eventually she was completely confined to bed. And the way she kept coughing up blood... Me and my wife, we did everything we could, from traditional medicine to those newfangled western treatments. Money was no problem, so long as Sou-chan could get better. Even the most expensive doctors would be affordable, if it's for her sake... but nothing seemed to work. They called it "consumption" then (later renamed as tuberculosis in your time), as it would consume the patient's body inside out until there's nothing left. Every treatment was ineffective. At best, they could lighten the symptoms for a few days before she relapsed, with every episode worse than the last. Nothing seemed to work, and I grew even more exasperated with every passing day, until one day, I just... left.

I didn't know what I was thinking. Maybe a part of me just couldn't bear to see her in that pitiful state any longer, or maybe I went into denial and foolishly convinced myself that she'd get better. That everything would be all right. Whatever the case, when Sakai-san informed me of the Boshin War knocking at our door, reaching the Shonai domain close to the capital, I went with him to the front lines.

The morning before my departure, I entrusted Sou-chan to my wife. She looked weak, but she still insisted on seeing me off. I reassured her that I won't be gone for long. That I'll treat her to her favorite dango place once the war is over and she's all better.

...That was the last time I saw my sister.

A few weeks later, as I returned from the battlefield, I was greeted with a package at my doorstep. It was sent from Kyoto. A neatly-folded Shinsengumi haori and a pair of katanas that looked very familiar. I quickly ran inside and ran into my wife, who was still wearing her mourning clothes. She hugged me as my body sank to the floor at the realization.

She said Sou-chan still asked for me in her last moments.
She entrusted her will to me.
The big brother who left her to die.

Deep down, maybe I've always known that things would end that way, foolish as I was for not accepting it.
    Even so...
I didn't even get to say my goodbyes.

    Act 5: Future
The next few months felt like a blur in my mind.
I went back to the front lines.
I raged. I killed. I rampaged across the battlefield.
I wasn't even sure what I sought there.
    An honorable death?
    Atonement?
Just... shutting out all the sorrow as I roared across the bloodstained battlefield?

At one point, I even convinced myself that this was what my sister would have wanted.
To fight until the bitter end for the sake of her sincerity.
...But I was wrong, and the realization snapped me back into reality.
There's a difference between fighting for your convictions and dying a pointless death in a reckless charge.
She wouldn't have wanted that end for me.

And so I returned from the battlefield, ready to uphold my convictions once again in the Shinchogumi.
I vowed to inherit her will and her sincerity in ways only I know how.

Yet when I returned to Edo... there was nothing left.
Under Sakai-san's leadership, the Shinchogumi became nothing more than thugs that burned buildings, ransacked stores, and terrorized the townsfolk. They were destroying the city they were supposed to protect, and even the more reasonable voices in the organization, like Nakazawa-san were alienated by the others. Ungrateful, good-for-nothing trash, all of them. Can you believe that!? I gave them a chance to become something more! To serve the country with pride and honor! To dedicate their lives to something greater than themselves! And this was how they repaid me!? How they repaid the city who raised and sheltered them, and the citizens who looked up to them for protection!?

I spent the next few years currying favors with the new Meiji government, before working together with them to arrest and execute members of the Shinchogumi. The people I once considered my brothers-in-arms. I hunted them down, one by one. I didn't get my hands on everyone, mind you. Some of them fortunately repented and changed their ways. Others had connections or special privileges that protected them from the consequences they had coming, including Sakai-san. Still, at the end of the day, the Shinchogumi was no more.

With the war over, and nothing else to do, I spent the rest of my days as a civil servant working under the new government. There was no dramatic end, or a neat bow to tie up the story here. Just... a man who made a fatal mistake and lost his only chance to fix it. That's all there is to it.

    Ascension 3
"So there I was, standing before the future she never got to see. An era where the samurai were rendered obsolete. Where Japan finally opened its borders and made its first great leap into the future. Where the turbulence of war and power struggles were nothing more than relics of the past."
    ...
"Heh, I wonder what she'd think if she could see me now..."

    Description
    Likes:
"I'm a big fan of the Shinsengumi. They're everything the Shinchogumi should have been, and more. Men and women who fought until the bitter end for the sake of their convictions, despite knowing the tragic end that awaited them... The kanji on the back of their uniform means 'sincerity', and I think they perfectly embodied that principle through thick and thin... Ah, of course, it's not like I'm jealous of my sister or anything like that! Did you really think I'm the type of jealous sibling who's desperate enough to steal his sister's uniform just to feel like I'm remotely a part of them!? N-Nonsense! It's nothing like that, I swear!"

    Dislikes:
"Oi, Master, if I may ask, what exactly are these 'GudaGuda events' you hold annually? It's as if everyone who debuted there had some screws loose or something! Ever since I met Nobukatsu, everyone just accused me of being a... filthy siscon! As if we're even remotely similar to one another! The idea is laughable! I love my sister as a concerned big brother. That's all there is to it. Sure, I tease her from time to time, we argue about many things, as siblings do, and maybe some of my jokes crossed the line and offended her, but... I only did that because seeing her mad at me is better than seeing... that expression. Hell, anything's better than seeing those dead, resigned eyes I saw back then. Man, I hated that expression... though I hate myself more for my inability to help her at that moment."

    Wish for the Grail:
"I wish I had been there during her final moments... That's what I'd say, but with a Holy Grail, surely we can aim a bit higher than that. I wish for a way to cure her illness, once and for all. For her to finally life a long, full life that she missed out on all those years ago. For her to grasp that future with her own hands. That's all I want, as her big brother."

A cool-headed, aloof big brother figure. The type that kids look up to and everyone can rely on. At least, that's how he tries to present himself. Honestly, he comes closer to an overbearing big brother who can't help but worry about his sister's health. He has good intentions, although his way of showing it can be... excessive, to say the least. A heavy contrast to the usual "cool" image he tries to invoke.

To name an example, Faker claims to hate taking care of the sick, as it reminds him too much of "those days". However, should his sister show the slightest sign of being unwell, he'd be the first to drop whatever he's doing, put on an apron, cook a warm bowl of soup and a cup of tea, and ask her for a full day's rest, grumbling all the while ("Why, yes, I do hate doing it. But you know what I hate more? Not doing it and having to say another untimely goodbye to someone I care about. Eh? It's just a mild cough? Hmph, maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I'm not taking the risk. A full day bed-rest for you, young lady"). At higher bond levels, this attitude also extends to his Master, and everyone else he cares about. While his worries aren't exactly unjustified, it would take some effort for others to convince him that not everyone requires that sort of care. Ultimately for him, a single cough might be the only thing that differentiates between the cool, aloof soldier, and the overprotective big brother in a cooking/housekeeping apron (though some would consider that sort of thing cool in its own way).

Despite Faker's attempt to imitate his sister, there is a single fundamental difference between them; Faker is no killer. He lacks the true "instinct" and the drive required of a merciless killer. Thus, especially observant individuals may notice his work to be a bit... sloppier in comparison to his sister. Yet at the same time, it can be argued that this sort of thing is exactly what makes him scarier if sufficiently angered. Rather than going for a quick, clean kill, he brutally hacks away at his opponent with an expression of cold indifference. It's extremely difficult to push him into that point to begin with, but mocking his sister's dream or depriving others of their "future" are two ways to get on his bad side. In fact, the latter is exactly why he hates the Shinchogumi so much.

On a lighter note, if it isn't obvious enough already, Faker feels a bit of childish envy towards his sister for being part of the Shinsengumi. He absolutely refuses to acknowledge these feelings, and he wouldn't wish any kind of ill will towards her, but it doesn't take a genius to see that his admiration towards the Kyoto police force is more than mere fanboyism. He yearns to be a part of them. To embrace their sense of justice and share their bonds of camaraderie. Unfortunately, he's just so awkward around them that he mostly sticks to watching them practice from afar and cosplaying their uniform... only to get hilariously flustered whenever one of his idols approach him. Alternatively, the sight of him nagging at his sister to borrow her uniform only gave birth to rumors painting him as a closeted crossdresser or siscon. Rumors he vehemently denies, to no avail.

    Final Ascension
"Well, I think that's everything my story has to offer. Seriously, you have my thanks for taking me this far. For giving me this chance. It's only fair for me to repay you in kind. Watch me, Master; I'll cut open a path to a bright future waiting just ahead! So keep your chin up, and keep looking forward. Fight, and reach out towards the light shining before the horizon! After everything you've done, I'm sure your efforts will be rewarded one day."

    Relationships
    Nakazawa Koto:
"If it isn't Nakazawa-san! Say, we've been friends for a reeaal long time, right? Mind taking a favor from an old pal? It's-"
    ...
"Eh? Stalk my sister!? No, no, I wouldn't phrase it like that! It's just that... I have to run a few errands for the Master today, and I wouldn't be able to look after her in the meantime. So I just want you to... shadow her a bit. Use whatever method you can think of, and notify me if anything went wrong. I'm sure you've got this, private!"
    ...
"True, she's probably more than capable of protecting herself at this point, and we've got dozens of qualified doctors here, but... I just can't help but worry, you know? She's always been the type to recklessly ignore her own limits in pursuit of her convictions."

    Oda Nobukatsu:
"We're nothing alike, you hear me!? Absolutely nothing alike! Besides, even the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven doesn't hold a candle compared to Sou-chan! She's-!"
    ...
"H-Heh, nice try! A clever trick, but not enough to deceive me! I'm not playing into your hands that easily!"

    Carl Tanzler:
"I don't normally associate with your kind, but I am curious, to say the least. How about it, doctor? Are you any closer to finding it yet? A 'cure' for death?"

    Yamaoka Tesshu:
"So it's you... I don't believe we've met before, but I've heard all about your exploits. The man responsible for the bloodless surrender of Edo Castle. When the slightest breakdown in negotiations could result in an all-out war in the capital, I'm glad the people were unhurt. And I have you to thank for that. Please, on behalf of the people of Edo, accept my utmost gratitude."

    Jirocho Shimizu:
"A friend of Yamaoka-dono, and... a yakuza? Huh, I sure didn't see this coming. Still, how the two of you worked together in Shizuoka and gave back to the people there... I think you're all right in my book. I'm sure the people there are grateful for everything you've done for them."

    Atsushi Watanabe:
"The Slayer of Hope... heh, that's one hell of a title you got there. Well, how does it feel to step into that future alone? Looking back, that whole conflict, everything about it just feels so... pointless in hindsight. At the very least you're self-aware enough to reflect on your actions. Some people can't even manage that much."

    The Shinchogumi in general:
"Do I ever feel bad for arresting and executing my former compatriots? Of course I do! Even I'm not that heartless, you know? I never wanted any of this! But the way they burned down the city that raised them, the way they savagely chewed and spat on the dreams of countless others... The Shinchogumi I loved was no longer here. They're all degenerate scums who needed to learn that their actions have consequences. As their former leader, it was the least I could do to set them straight, just one last time."

    Sakai Tadazumi:
"Traitorous bastard... before I take your head, just as I should have done a long time ago, please answer me this: why did someone like you... get to have a future? After you've deprived so many others of theirs? After you burned down their hopes and dreams in Edo? WHY DOES A PIECE OF SHIT LIKE YOU GET TO HAVE A FUTURE WHEN SHE COULDN'T!?"
    ...
"I see, I see. So that's your answer. It really is foolish of me to expect the tiniest hint of self-awareness from trash like you. Oh well, it can't be helped. Please stay still for a bit. I might hit the wrong vitals if you move around too much~!"

    The Shinsengumi in general:
"Greetings, esteemed compatriots. It is I, the one and only Okita-san (Prototype) of the Shinsengumi. An undisputed member of Kyoto's finest police force. Today, I... oh, who am I kidding. Of course, you'd be able to see through this much. Sorry, I'll leave now."
*They actually don't mind him sitting at their lunch table. He's just way too self-conscious to consider the possibility that the great Shinsengumi would be willing to accept him*

Master (if Okita Souji is at bond 10):
    *Sharpening katana*
"Oh, hello there, Master! Nice weather we're having today, isn't it? Don't mind the katana, just... preparing for the long battle ahead! It's good to be well-prepared! Anyway, this is just a concerned big brother speaking, so I'm not going anywhere with this, but... can you clearly state your intentions with my sister? I'd love to have a looong chat with you on the topic~!"

    Okita J. Souji:
"You're going outside!? Not in that outfit you aren't, young lady! I know it's summer and all, but what if you catch a cold!? Eh? What's that? You actually waited for five years for this swimsuit to be implemented? Hmm... that changes things. I'd like to talk to the man in charge. It's nothing important, I just want to give him... a piece of my mind, yeah."

    Okita Souji (Alter):
"Mitsu did WHAT!? A Counter Guardian, huh... that sounds like a terribly difficult job, but I'm glad you found some respite here. May these joyful days continue for you."

    Okita Souji:
"It's been a long time since I saw her smile like that, Master. I... I don't think there's any need for me to say anything more. Just... thanks, for looking out for her."

    Okita Souji (Extra)
"Sou-chan! This is awkward, but I seem to have misplaced my haori again. So... mind if I borrow yours for today?"
    ...
"Oof, you're looking at me like I'm lower than trash again... That really did a number on my psyche, you know? I remember when you were like five and called me- OW, OW, OW, ALL RIGHT, I WON'T BRING THAT UP AGAIN! SORRY! A-Ahem, anyway, I just need your uniform for my Noble Phantasm, I swear! I don't have any other ulterior motives! I'll even wash them for you afterwards!"

Edo, Spring, Second Year of the Meiji Era (1869)

    Dear Sou-chan.
Sorry I'm late. It took me half a year to get leave from work, but... I'm here at last.
In the end... we never did get to go to that dango place you've always wanted, huh?

I'm sorry for not being there back then.
Just... what kind of big brother am I..?
I did everything I thought was possible, but looking back, I think it was the first time in a long while that I thought of what could have been.
If I had been capable enough to accompany you in Kyoto...
If I was strong enough to fight in the front lines and end this war before it even began...
If I was smart enough to notice the signs early on...
If I was courageous enough to stay by your side in your final days...

Ah, my apologies, I didn't mean to bring down the mood.
Surely you wouldn't want me drowning in sorrow forever.

The future is here at last.
The Shogunate is done for, and the Imperialists finally took power.
Japan finally opened its borders, combining our classic traditions with western values.
The wars, the political assassinations, the conspiracies... they're all nothing more than relics of the past.
It feels like the end of a long winter, when the snow melts to make way for the morning sun.

I gaze up at the warm sun above.
At the end of it all, standing before this future that feels so foreign, yet so familiar, with my late sister's
    will
    katana
    in hand...

The Meiji era dawns, and I face towards an uncertain tomorrow.

    Creator's notes
    > Another sheet done at last. As you've seen in the GaS thread, this is an impromptu idea that suddenly hit me while looking for the identity of Koga's Bakumatsu Saber. My initial idea was just to make him a gag Nobukatsu copy for Okita in GudaGuda events, but reading his life story (short as it was on wikipedia) actually caused this idea to spiral way out of control, resulting in what we have here.

    > The first-person lore section is an experiment I'm doing. It helps with adding more character, at the cost of bloating the sheet further compared to the usual third-person retelling. I think I might use this style again in the future, but don't expect it in every sheet.

    > I also decided to do the Faker reveal the same way I formatted my Pretenders rather than my "old" Faker format of overlaying every section with Collapse tags. This one feels better.

    > Credits to Vance's Nakazawa Koto for that Shinchogumi NP.

    > Storywise, I feel like he has almost equal amounts of protagonist and antagonist potential. At worst case, I could imagine him being the mastermind of a GudaGuda event like Nobukatsu did in Guda2, just in a more serious and tragic manner.

Hi Ismail, thanks so much for the feedback. I have edited it.

    Welcome back, Lambda-Nu!

Zephrame, I like your Jim Hawkings sheet, it's got fun Noble Phantasms and I appreciate the inclusion of quotes from the book! If I had to make a criticism, it'd be that some of the canon and more general Personal Skills could probably be folded into more character-specific ones, for instance merging Eye of the Mind (False) with Haphazard Planning into one new Skill and Golden Rule with Treasure Hunt into another, since right now he has an unusual abundance in amount of Personal Skills and a bunch of overlap between them.

jishara, I like the concept of Huayna Capac essentially chilling out in the afterlife due to understanding that his former behaviour led others on a wrong path, and he's definitely got an interesting kit. Bit bizarre he still dislikes weakness, especially given his second Personal Skill, but perhaps I'm misunderstanding something there.

As for "Okita Souji" - I admit I don't really care for the more 'anime' aspect of the sheet, so to speak, but I'm definitely eating up all of the rest. The 'glitch' aspect of the Noble Phantasm is so cool and the more serious aspects are so well done, not just for what concerns the one he's a Faker for but also everything to do with the Shinchogumi and the coming of the Meiji period. Very interesting how both him and Charles the Fat from a while ago both have Skills and Noble Phantasm they'd rather not use that are connected to horrible things they've experienced, down to both of them each having a Skill in a way opposite of Charisma (Curse of the Shinchogumi and Herald of Misfortune - rather, I can imagine the second going on someone with a Charisma rank, too, but in Charles's case specifically it does also represent something opposite to it in practice). Also yes this format seems so much better for most Faker sheets honestly lol and the first person lore experiment was well executed I think

Foreigner of the Tengyō no Ran
-- My Rebellion of Love --

"Love, love, love! It's all about love! That name? I've forgotten it! That face? I've forgotten it! Me, one of the Great Vengeful Spirits? But how could I be one, when I have forgotten so much?"

"Oh North Star, why have you forsaken me? No, I needn't ask: how much like you to leave an earthly thing like me behind! Ah, as I stand on the back of your tortoise, deprived of your aid, I should be thankful to have helped your enlightment reach even greater heights! But I, I am not! Oh my rebellion of love! How I cry for you!"

    Class: Foreigner
    True Name: Taira no Masakado
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Source: Historical fact and rumours
    Attribute: Human
    Natural Enemy: Tawara Touta
    Armament: Tachi
Catalyst: His preserved severed head and/or a swarm of butterflies

    ParametresSTR: B
    END: C-
    AGI: C-
    MGI: C
    LCK: D
    NP: A

Class SkillsExistence Outside the Domain | B+
The Great Old One whose gaze met Foreigner's came from beyond Earth, but had already reached it much before their meeting. However, the strong association that Foreigner drew between it and Myōken, a personification of the North Star of which he was a devotee, has led to a plus modifier on top of the Rank this Skill would've usually had for other Foreigners associated with the same entity.

    Insanity (Oblivion) | B
Through the meeting of their gazes, the so-called God of Forgetfulness feasted on Foreigner's memories. However, this Servant was able to retain to a sense of self and resist complete takeover by clinging to the concept of love, that which he claims to be the true reason behind his rebellion. Even so, he can't recall the exact circumstances that led to his uprising, because nearly every memory about the one he loved seems to have been devoured. Of the memories about the two of them, the memory of love appears to be the only one left.

    Divinity | B-
After his death, Foreigner came to be venerated as a deity and one of the Great Vengeful Spirits. Multiple shrines were built for him; in particular, the amount of respect or neglect paid to the shrine that houses his preserved severed head in Tokyo across the ages is said to correspond with the fortune of Edo and Tokyo in the corresponding years. However, this Skill has a minus modifier for him as a Foreigner because in this Class he lacks crucial memories: he refuses to fill his role as a Great Vengeful Spirit, and even if he wished to do so, it would be impossible for him.

    Personal SkillsIllusion Arts | D
Foreigner was a magus. Though the magecraft his side displayed during his famous rebellion was chiefly associated with his daughter and, between that association and his altered mental state as a Foreigner, he lacks the Magecraft Skill, not all of his former magecraft is now unavailable to him. Thanks to the legend of his seven body doubles which accompanied him with each battle to fool Tawara Touta's arrows and the rest of his foes, Foreigner is able to employ magecraft that deceives people, and create illusionary copies of himself or others. However, he can only mantain up to seven such illusions at a time, though he can create them nearly instantly and recreate any destroyed ones in a matter of minutes. They can be perceived with every sense, but cast no shadow, and, though they are able to fight, their combat capabilities top off at those of regular athletic modern humans. The swarm of butterflies that manifested in Kyoto just before the beginning of his rebellion, as an omen of a battle to come, was a result of the usage of illusions that translated into this Skill, too. However, this isn't the only part of his kit that deals with butterflies...

    Charisma (Chaos) | C+
A variant of the Charisma Skill particularly effective towards increasing the parameters of those with a Chaotic alignment - though still effective to a lesser extent for those who lack that alignment as well. Moreover, rather than negating others' Charisma, Foreigner's own increases if he's confronted with others that possess the Charisma Skill or any of its variations at rank B or higher, hence the plus modifier on this Skill. This is not Nature of a Rebellious Spirit because that Skill which is effectively incompatible with the capability to rule. Of course, not all rebels with a Charisma Skill possess the (Chaos) variation, and there are in fact some who possess a Charisma without that qualifier or even specifically the (Law) variation; similarly, rebellion leaders aren't the only ones who are allowed to possess the (Chaos) variation. Basically, the (Chaos) variation here is due to Foreigner's specific temperament and history rather than a generic signifier of rebellion.

    Curved Edge | C
Most of the earliest Japanese swords that were meant for combat had straight blades. Foreigner was the first to consistently introduce a curve in their edge, perfecting it for quickdraw and cutting, thus leading to the birth of the tachi. He receives an initiative bonus even when not armed with a tachi, as well as the capability to instantly recognise any category of bladed weapons with one or more curved edges, even those he'd never seen in life, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. There is a small chance to instantly recognise Noble Phantasms modelled after such weapons as well.

    Noble Phantasm(s)

    Wagahai no Namakubi
    My Severed Head

After Foreigner's death, his decapitated head lived kept mysteriously reappearing in various locations all over Japan, demanding to be reunited to his body, until the head was finally buried in a shrine in what would later become Tokyo. In truth, any body would've sufficed in a pinch. His desire to keep on fighting desperately was so strong that, had it been attached to another headless corpse, it would've got up and walked, ready to head right back into the fray and reignite the rebellion at any moment. As a Servant, even after being damaged beyond repair, Foreigner can't perish unless his head is buried and sealed through magecraft or magic. If detached from his body but then left unattended, once per day the head'll be able to turn into a swarm of illusionary butterflies unbound by physics and fly away before retaking its form as a head elsewhere. The ability to take over headless bodies as a head still persists.

By the way, this doesn't qualify as a form of Battle Continuation but as a Noble Phantasm mainly because it only regards the head and the aspect of controlling new bodies normally isn't covered by the Battle Continuation Skill. But there's one more reason: Foreigner's legs would from time to time be affected by severe pain, and this led to one of his defeats; this is both incompatible with the Battle Continuation Skill and a weakness that can be exploited and made to return by those who learn of Foreigner's True Name.

Come to think of it, if he's able to take over headless bodies, taking in account Hokusai's observation that all Foreigners have an unknown date of death and/or cause of death, as well as her hypothesis that they may in fact not have died, there exists the possibility that the severed head which is one of Foreigner's catalysts and has been preserved for centuries may not have ever been his to begin with...

    Myōken no Byatis
Tortoise Mount of the North Star (False)

The tortoise mount of Myōken, Buddhist deification of the North Star of which Taira no Masakado was a devout worshipper for a time.
Byatis, the God of Forgetfulness, a Great Old One that arrived to Earth and gorged on the memories of its inhabitants through its gaze.
They are not one and the same. But he believed them to be one and the same.
He dreamt of the North Star coming towards him on his tortoise mount. Giving off light. Wading through the black waters of the firmament.
    He should've realised then.
When he met the eyes of the tortoise, the first thing it took was not a memory of love. It wasn't a highly personal memory at all. It was the knowledge of a simple fact that marked an important distinction.
    Tortoises can't swim.

It's said in legend that Foreigner was constantly covered in impenetrable armour and could thus only be hurt through a specific spot on his forehead, thus joining him to the ranks of invulnerable heroes such as Siegfried or Achilles. Actually, the influence of Byatis would simply cause his enemies to forget their attacks could hurt him. No, to tell the truth, it would go beyond that. It would make the attacks themselves forget to hurt in any other spot, and render them ineffective. Still, it couldn't completely erase the possibility of hurting him. Hence its nature as incomplete armour in the perception of his enemies. This perception extends to the visual field so deeply that their eyes will constantly see him as covered in metal everywhere but in one spot.

By invoking this Noble Phantasm's True Name, the
    shell
    armour
    manifests the whole of the
    tortoise
    warrior
, or rather, Byatis. It grows in size and becomes its own creature, if only temporarily. In this state, it has the same properties as the armour and can also detach itself from its wearer momentarily to physically attack. It can even fly. Most importantly, unlike Foreigner himself, it possesses a set of Mystic Eyes of Forgetfulness which devour the memories of all that it sees.

However, the anchor of love will eventually pull Byatis back into the form of the armour. The stronger love is in the surrounding area, the harder it becomes to fully release Byatis and the easier it becomes to push it back. On the flipside, if love in the surrounding area grows too weak while Byatis has been already unleashed, Foreigner will fully lose himself to Byatis and the 'default' time limit, rather than being shortened or lengthened by the amount of love in the area, will be completely broken. Understandably, Foreigner himself wishes to avoid this at all costs. If that stage is reached while Foreigner has a Master, they'll have no sway over Byatis even through Command Spells.

While there are several ways to combat the effects of the
    shell
    armour
and/or the Mystic Eyes of Forgetfulness, the natural weakness of this Noble Phantasm are Avenger Servants, thanks to their inability to ever forget anything and the Oblivion Correction Class Skill into which it's translated. Byatis neither has nor provides meaningful protection from them.

???The leader of the first recorded uprising against the central government in Kyōto, the
    Jōhei Tengyō no Ran
    Jōhei-Tengyō Rebellion
, also known simply as Tengyō no Ran. He was a samurai and provincial magnate who lived during the Heian period. However, the motivations behind his rebellion have been lost to history. Some say it started over a certain rank or post in the capital that had allegedly been denied to him: the sources supporting this position are split in regards as to whether the true cause was a genuine desire of Masakado's to take over that position, or instead the disdain felt by one of his paternal uncles at what he perceived as Masakado's failure to attain it. Others lean towards a territorial dispute being the main cause, and suggest that one or more of Masakado's paternal uncles may have been illegally ruling over certain lands that had been left to him by his father, occupying them and acting as if they'd effectively taken them over. Others still state the rebellion started over a woman, whose identity is disputed among the sources that argue in favour of that specific cause anyway. And of course there are other causes entirely being suggested, and various sources put forward different combinations of these factors and/or others as what led to the uprising. In any case, he was eventually reportedly killed during the Battle of Kojima in 940 against armies led by his cousin Taira no Sadamori, whose father he'd previously slain during the conflict, and Fujiwara no Hidesato, also known as the legendary Tawara Touta.

He loudly sings the praises of love and mourns the failure of his rebellion. When asked to elaborate on any terms or concepts unfamiliar to the listener, he most often doesn't bother to do so and instead doubles down on more expressions that would come off as cryptic to those same people. Though he laments his sadness at length, he nearly always has a smile on his face in the meantime. There's something extremely theatrical in his behaviour. Like an actor who's putting it all not in a well-made and plausible performance, but in deliberately chewing the scenery. As such, there's something almost fabricated and artificial about his mannerisms. And yet, at the same time, they give off the impression of being entirely honest and from the bottom of his heart. What is the meaning of this? And is it truly a contradiction?

RelationshipsTawara Touta: "Oh villain most vile! Oh most monstrous of monsters, unjustly hailed as a hero! You who crushed love without mercy will never be forgiven!"

Sciron (Foreigner): "You — you have ridden the tortoise, yet know naught of the North Star that once mounted it. Pitiful! Most pitiful! Who is, and to whom, I can't even tell! Ah, but the terrible things in your eyes! The things which do not exist within your eyes! There they come unmade. Within eyes as the ones of the tortoise. But I, I have love! As long as I have love, I shall never be unmade! As long as I am not unmade, I shall have love!"

Stella Maris Mary: "You! You are not the North Star I know. Attack! Attack! I must attack! —Tell me — are you the one I once fell for?"

    Bond Craft Essence
    A Forgotten Meeting

    I think I remember seeing a face I don't remember.
    I think I remember asking for a name I don't remember.
All I remember of that is love.
It might not even be real.
It might be that none of it was real.
But if clinging to that is all that prevents me from being taken over entirely...
    I have no other choice.
    And perhaps.
    It might be real.

Creator's NotesMany thanks to RoydGolden and Shiki-pon for inspiration! Their Rider Taira no Masakado, Foreigner Sciron, and Saber Taira no Masakado were intriguing takes on the characters and also had a bunch of stuff in them I might not've found as easily on my own lol. So yeah, that helped out a lot in making this sheet! :D

I’m also writing a fate fanfic and would like some help picking out the final lineup. The lore of the war is that after the 2nd HGW, the church didn’t get involved and instead the war moved to London. The Einzberns didn’t cheat in war #3 either. This is now the 4th war and everyone is cheating! The catholics are trying to take power in the war, so is a protestant, there are a couple of extra servants besides the main 7, etc. This is what I have so far
    Saber: Accolon or maybe Lucan
Lancer: No Clue Yet, maybe Diomedes or Godfrey Bouillon
    Archer: Wei Boyang
Caster: Two ideas are Christopher Marlowe or Merlin Alter or Houdini
Rider: Not sure, but I had the idea of making it James K. Polk
Berserker: Not sure, but one idea is Maximilien Robespierre
Assassin: One idea is to do Jack the Ripper (as a male), while the other is to do Jack Ketsch. Another is to do Ganelon. Yet another is to do the Man in the Iron Mask
Avenger: I have two, Protesilaus or Judas Maccabeus
Foreigner: Arthur Rimbaud (or maybe Robert Browning)
Jester (a custom class I invented): Mark Twain
    Pretender/ Faker: King Saul
    Gatekeeper: No clue yet
    Any advice?

    I reworked him a bit
    Class: Saber
    Other Classes: N/A
    True Name: Sir Gaswain
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Place of Origin: Arthurian Legend
    Parameters:

    STR: B
    END: A
    AGI: B
    MGI: A
    LCK: D
    NP: A

    Height: 190cm
    Weight: 150lbs
    Likes: Being Accepted
    Dislikes: Gawain
    Talent: Money Management
    Natural Enemy: Gawain
    Attribute: Earth
Traits: Man, Humanoid, Weak to Enuma Elish
    Armament: Sword
Catalyst: A fragment of his sword

    Magic Resistance (B)

Cancels spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

    Riding (B)

Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill, even vehicles that did not exist in the time period one was alive in, for they are no exception. However, they cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Golden Rule (C)

While never being exactly rich, he was the treasurer and always helped make ends meet in the finances. He has a talent for finding ways to profit and its extremely difficult for him to lose money.

    Charisma (C)

Kay described him as “Valorous and a Good Speaker.” He is definitely persuasive and is skilled in leadership. Unlike the honest Sir Gaswain, he is masterful in weaving a web of lies and half-truths in order to get his way.

    Self-Modification (A)

Due to Lingrenote’s experiments on him, he is perfectly capable of modifying his own body and others with technology and other fun advancements. She also installed a Magic Core inside of him.

    The Scar-Eye (EX)

The mocking title given to him by the other knights. A villainous facial structure that became his defining trait. It allows him to see into his enemy’s minds much like a mystic eye would and predict their movements. If anything, it allows him to see better than his real one.

    Galantine Lingrenote
    Type
    Anti-Unit (Hero)
    Rank
    A
    Range
    20-40
    Max. Targets
    300

The sword that was given to him by Lingrenote. It looks like Galantine and shines with a dark light in its sheath. Unlike Galantine, which is the crystallization of Gawain’s perfection at his strongest, this sword works by weakening the enemy and cursing them with every strike, draining their mana and weakening their stats. Upon true name release, it washes away a single target in a powerful blast, while it's true effect comes after the attack hits. The energy seeps into their body, burning away their stamina and causing them to fall to their knees. This is very painful

Lore: One might call him the black sheep of the round table. Originally a bright-eyed youth who practically worshiped Gawain and the rest of the knights, he dreamed from his youth of joining them. The position he was able to attain was treasurer of the Round Table, managing finances and juggling debts. He was also able to go on adventures with his idol, Gawain. However, he grew embittered when he challenged Gawain’s honor and dueled him. Left with one eye and a disfiguring scar on his face, he was mocked by the other knights. He was only able to stick with them through a strange sense of loyalty. He began to despise Gawain more and more until he felt a burning desire to murder him. His hatred continued until he said “Let me be the villain as long as I can destroy these so-called knights.” While this was in part an act of revenge, this was more of a way to find power, to feel as though he mattered, and to correct the wrongs that he saw in Artoria’s reign. He left the round table and began to exemplify his new role as a villain. He murdered the noble knight Raguidel, kidnapped maidens, and used his excessive charisma to incite peasants to revolt. However, Gawain stopped him each time. In desperation, he turned to the fae sorceress Lingrenote and allowed her to experiment on him. She modified his body and granted him a sword almost the equal of Galantine, an imitation. With this newfound power he challenged Gawain again …. And lost horribly. Being taken back home much as a master takes back a runaway dog, he was chewed out by Artoria and put back to work as a repentant soul. The other knights never truly accepted him back, but this time Gaswain found peace in the simple work of knighting and treasuring (While he was gone, Fole had made a mess of things). When Mordred’s rebellion came, he tried to keep them back as best he could but Mordred merely laughed and cut him in the same spot that Gawain had all those years ago. Despite this, he still held on to life for a few more seconds, trying to say some final words, some curse or sound of peace, he didn’t say anything and died.
    Any advice?

Hi, sorry about that, I've edited it to make it more clear: he doesn't dislike weakness, he dislikes people who refuse to try essentially. I hope that makes more sense.

    Class: Saber
    True Name: Gajah Merik
    Alignment: Lawful Good.
Origins: Sumatra, The Island of Bengkulu

    Parameters
    Strength: B+
    Agility: A
    Endurance: EX
    Mana: B
    Luck: C
    NP: B+

Class SkillsMagic Resistance (Rank A): This skill came about due to innate dream sage that has taught Saber all that he learns throughout his young age and his prodigy like skills in magecraft.

Riding (Rank B): This skill came about as Saber of part of a royal family and he was well verse in the art of animal handling and riding.

Personal Skills Magecraft of Serenity (Rank A-): This skill grants Saber many powerful magecraft skills that learn from his youth though because of the unnatural way that learn these. Via a sage that kept appearing in his dreams for three years straight. He can only use it in a state of emptiness that means he has to concentrate on it and basically become a sitting duck.

Swift Strider (Rank B+): This skill allows Saber to traverse on any terrain and gain a rank up in agility when he came in contact with water surfaces and even disoriented his foes in phantom mist while this skill is active. This skill came from on of his sacred weapons a dagger that allows him to perform this skill

Enlighten Mind (Rank A): A mana detection skill that is able to trace mana right out in the air. This skill came from Saber a week-long meditation in which he became in tuned with his environment. This skill greatly helps Saber in the middle of combat as he can bob and wave with the flow of mana around to increase his attack potency exponentially.

Noble PhantasmDance of The Spirits, Serpent Tide
    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Demonic Beast

This Noble Phantasm is the one he gains from his Legend of Slaying the Seven Headed Serpent King. With this he conjures of illusionary serpent heads from his shawl that disorients his enemies and activating their flight or fright responses. As the are paralyzed and engulphed in the demonic mist as the shawl morphs into blade delivering a single swift strike deals the fatal blow. This Noble Phantasm works better for beast type servants.

Misc LinesLikes: I always like to meditate a long the lake shore. It’s calming to interact with the nearby spirits.

Dislikes: I hated when there is an unfair fight, I always want to fight people at their best. Fighting injured or crippled people is not really my thing. So, I made a point to try heal them up before engaging them in the fight I wanted

Holy Grail: The Holy Grail, you said plenty of strong people are willing to fight for it. I then I wish to continue on finding new foes to test my might against them.

Event: There is something ongoing out there. What kind of challenges awaits out there for me master?

Bond LinesBond Line 1: Oh sorry, master you are looking for me. it’s okay I been isolating myself in the simulator for a while. I am not used to the hustle and bustle of Chaldea. It’s a bit to noisy for my liking.

Bond Line 2: You’re asking me about my blade It’s to small you say, I see you though this little dagger is my blade no it isn’t my blade. This shawl is let me show you. (As unfurled his shawl to morphing it into a fine edge blade.)

Bond Line 3: I always wonder what how sprits feel about themselves. Stuck in limbo like state, though I didn’t expect to be able experience it like this. My tale is rather local one, you have to dig deep to find small traces of it.

Bond Line 4: You know, I miss the clear blue surface the lake. It seems that the only time I get to see it is in this simulator. But I know that is not quite that same. It might be a pretty petty reason to fight on humanity behalf but I want to be that glistening lake shore just one more time.

Bond Line 5: Master can I have a moment with you please. It’s been a while since we are fighting together. Though I am just a character from a minor folktale. To be able to see experience new things with you. Well, it’s been a blast I hope I can be with you through it all. Until the end.

RelationshipMochizuki Chiyohime : That Curse in your body, I felt something similar presence of an old friend of mine. But it’s faint and not quite the same.

Ibuki-Douji : Huh, you are the spitting image of my old friend. I wonder if you and her will get along or not.

Merlin: The Mage of Flowers, his attitude. Has me reminisce about my old mentor. Though because it was all kind of a dream for me. I can’t even recall his face, it’s all still hazy even now.

Gorgon: Easy there, Missy I am not a slayer like most heroes if I can get a good agreement with my foes. I will always spare their lives.

Kiyohime: Aren’t you a little to young to be stalker. Okay, I am just asking.

Miyamoto Mushashi : Thanks for you for training with me, It was great. Though I can’t help but notice that you were staring at me for the entire match. What is up with that.

    Craft Essence

    Mystic Lake

Here I stand on the eve of twilight, in this clear shoreline. This grand lake, of bustling people and sprits reflected on their waters edge. Like the night stars they glow with an ethereal light. For this lake is my true start, this is where my heroes journey began and so at least I wish to see again at least one last time.
