Minotauros=Ariadne: Pasiphae no like this. Like fucking instant Crete Tauros to subdue her levels of no like this. Otherwise, very good sheet.
Caster of the Golden Dream
Faker of the Golden Desire
Identity: Jay Gatsby/James Gatz
Alignment: Balanced Neutral
Armament(s): Fists, Magical Energy release
Summoning Catalyst: An assortment of American-centric catalysts heaped together, with his book among them. His book alone would also work if he is specifically desired, but upon the presence of multiple, he gains priority
History: The Titular character in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, born James Gatz to a poor family in the American Midwest, he adopted the identity of Jay Gatsby upon becoming the protégé of a copper tycoon. When his mentor died, Gatsby was swindled out of the inheritance bequeathed to him by the man's mistress, and thusly joined the military during WW1, achieving the rank of Major. However, it was in his time serving that he would meet one Daisy Fay- soon to be Daisy Buchanan, the woman that would absolutely enrapture his desire. He was in love- and whilst studying at Oxford, when he received news that she had married wealthy businessman Tom Buchanan, he immediately moved back to the states, in a bid to become wealthy and win her heart.
After amassing a fortune off of what was most likely bootlegging throughout the beginning of the jazz age, Gatsby once again was reborn, this time keeping his name, as a self-made millionaire. He bought a grand mansion across the bay from the Buchanans, and began to throw incredibly lavish parties, like a new-age Gilgamesh, in order to one day hopefully attract Daisy to come on by so he could see her again. And with some help from Daisy's cousin, and perhaps the only true friend in his life, Nick Caraway, he eventually did. As he tried to win her affections, convince her to leave Tom to live a life with him, things soured, eventually leading to a confrontation where Tom accused him of trying to steal his wife away from him, and Gatsby placing an ultimatum on Daisy to choose... and she couldn't. Taking Gatsby's car, she ended up hitting and killing Tom's mistress, who's husband George, upon learning it was Gatsby's car, went to his manor the next day and shot him.
Despite being an incredible host, socialite, and figure of influence, only three people attended Gatsby's Funeral: His father, Nick, and an unnamed guest of his parties with owlish eyes.
Personality: An amicable extrovert with arrogance and ambition, Gatsby thinks, and knows, he's hot shit. He moves with an almost performative swagger, like he's in a music video, physically sparkling slightly with a little pinch of his brand of magecraft. Yet despite it al... he's rather pleasant, when you get him to sit down and simply talk with him. It's something someone who specifically built himself up as a host and socialite has to be- he's really an utter delight. The gleam, the smolder, it fades to a tasteful golden shine- you see under the hood of the expensive car, and see the finely tuned engine, the mechanisms and mind of someone who actually did build himself from nothing.
However, with that knowledge, also comes fear. The fear and doubt, knowing in the past that his efforts amounted to nothing, that he never achieved the true love or happiness... it eats at him. The fact that he's faking being a grand man of millions of dollars, and the tale of that man has entered him into the throne of heroes, he secretly feels as if he shouldn't have manifested, the proof of his actual class designation, Faker, being a smoking gun in his mind
Additionally, as will be detailed in his second noble phantasm, the fact that something so important as his death is unknowable to him, he finds deeply worrying.
He constantly refers to everyone as "Old sport", regardless of familiarity
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 173 lbs
Appearance:
Servant Parameters:
Str: E
End: D
Agi: E
Mana: C+
Luck: E
Class Skills:
Camouflage B: A Skill that allows a Servant to disguise their Class and parameters.
Territory Creation A: A Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to build a special terrain that is advantageous to oneself as a magus, such as for the purpose of collecting mana. For Gatsby specifically, he will establish a grand estate of which to hold lavish parties out of, as he did expertly for multiple years in his tale. They are open-invitation, but will naturally hide the area's magical aspects to those who do not already know of magecraft.
Personal Skills:
Golden Rule A-: A Skill that refers to the measurement of one's fortune to acquire wealth. Gatsby possesses it at this rank due to the incredible quantity and quality of celebrations he threw, while still seeming to have an unfathomable amount of money behind him. Such wealth was enough to strike fear of replacement into his old money adversaries in the novel, meaning it would have no doubt been a vast sum. But because as many things about his wealth were left unknown to the narrator and protagonist, Nick, it receives a negative modifier.
The Presence of Splendor D: While Gatsby was not a mage in life, this skill allows the power of the unknowable wealth he possesses to manifest as the projection of magical energy. In the form of a golden light, Gatsby can unleash it in a variety of blasts, using his experience as a soldier to use them effectively.
The Green Light of Desire EX: The manifestation of Gatsby's supreme will to reinvent and present himself as something truly great by comparing himself to others. Using this skill, Gatsby can copy and learn a skill from any opponent he faces, starting at two ranks under what the original owner possessed it at. He will also rank up his three physical parameters upon doing so for the first time. Subsequent confrontations will allow him to rank the skill up by a single rank (up to the originally possessed rank), but Gatsby cannot claim more than one skill from each servant. With the skill claimed, comes any knowledge, or biological or magical change needed to utilize it effectively.
Noble Phantasm(s):
Roll's Royce: D
A poor excuse for a noble phantasm, Gatsby can summon his car, a yellow 1928 Rolls-Royce 40. It doesn't seem to need gas, and is supernaturally durable, but, it's ultimately just a car.
The End and Memory of a Dream: EX
A passive noble phantasm that summons two phantom spirits upon two specific events occurring
Upon talking the life of, or aiding in death of another servant, a master, or even a bystander- George B Wilson, Gatsby's killer, will manifest 24 hours after, and attempt to repeat the process. He comes with a revolver that cannot misfire, with a single bullet in the chamber, and his aim will always be directly at Gatsby's heart. While he cannot be touched, he will fade upon firing that shot- of which if Gatsby survives, he will manifest 24 hours later and attempt it again, until it works and he kills him, or Gatsby demanifests. George can also possess people holding pistols, lasting until the chamber or clip is emptied. Very notably, Gatsby DOES NOT REMEMBER how he died, cannot be told or shown how he has died (it will be replaced with static, or static noise), and does not know who killed him. If he survives the first attempt on his life, he will at least know it is a spirit with a gun trying to kill him. However, between manifestations, he will forget this fact.
Upon Gatsby's Death/Demanifestation- Nick Caraway, Gatsby's only friend, and the one who records his story (as well as is the protagonist of the novel), will independently manifest to Gatsby's master for a day. Like George, he cannot be touched, but he will leave behind a memoir depicting Gatsby's time while summoned, with posthumous anecdotes from the servant in the throne. A final record of his time, so you will perhaps remember him.
Design Notes:
- Gatsby is yet another one of my Fighting Game servants, this time serving the gameplay archetype of a gimmick character. The idea is that he possesses an incomplete moveset, his Quarter-circle back command not doing anything. Upon reaching the second round, he would be presented with a menu before the round starts allowing him to choose one of three attacks to assign to it.
- I found out while researching him, that a lot of literary analysis denotes him as being a sort of false profit for the american dream (hence his title and second NP), something I found rather interesting. That tied in with the fact that he effectively killed James Gatz to live as Jay Gatsby, made me want to make him a pretender, though I eventually went with Faker because it fit better with what I was doing.
- Visually, you of course have him being described as a tall, handsome man, who notably owned a pink suit (which in the story was used to symbolize his essence of being of "new money", and spending on things that would normally be considered frivolous at the time, like a fucking pink suit), so I did all that, as it worked visually. The two things of note are his skin color, and glasses. In the novel, he has no specified ethnicity, though there are rumors of him being related to the german kaiser, and Fitzgerald's model for him was a man of german descent. However, to snag a quote from wikipedia real quick, "As the embodiment of "latest America", Gatsby's rise triggers status anxieties typical of the 1920s era, involving xenophobia and anti-immigrant sentiment.", I wanted to portray him as someone of mixed descent, as to be more representative of all us different people still striving for the more and more impossible american dream, and how those sentiments have evolved over time.
The glasses are a nod to the green light in the novel with their tinted lenses, the naming source of his most important skill. In the novel, it shines across the bay near the Buchanan residence, and symbolizes what he strives for, but can never have. Them being glasses means he sees the world through this light of desire, and it's another nod to the theme of vision and perspective prevalent in the story.
That Pasiphae should have been Rider or Lancer (Labrys) if you ask me for how sane she is
When you think Berserker Pasiphae you think coco loco Pasiphae that convinced Daedalus that her fucking the Cretan Bull was a totally legit good move that would have no consequences. Give her some evil charisma skill because Daedalus is a psychotic nerd and react with such horror she remains silent and despairing, just wasting away until the end of her life. Really turn up the horror of the situation if you ask me
Thanks for the compliments. I find it funny how Fate insists Herakles and Theseus are the Supermen of Greece, super good guys strong and smart that have never done any wrong yet they confirmed Theseus killing and raping the amazons as a thing and also using his favor by Poseidon to kill Hippolytus (his son) without ever confirming anything just because he found a letter claiming Hippo did it
Standing in the alcove that served as the entrance to the arena for the first round of the festival, Varick paced, playing with his earrings as he nervously played a pen, spinning it between his fingers. All the while, Lancer sat comfortably on one of the slightly overstuffed couches. His spear rested atop his lap as he laughed at the movie that was being projected at the blank wall across from him. A few, small bobble head figures were scattered around him.
While the two little astronauts were watching along, a glowing blue dragon girl who looked like a little robotic mummy with gold and green highlighting were playing a board game and a bubbling mass of chaos was chasing a few more tiny mechanical figures.
“How are you so calm about this? It’s a big event on the line here man” Stated Varrick, once more coming to sit back down next to his servant, once more completing a cycle he’d done at least a dozen times now. The man in the astronaut suit simply shrugged, continuing to watch the movie.
“Going to be honest, it’s a weird combination of the fact I really want to finish everything NGE has to offer before we start, and a need to keep myself distracted. Stressing isn’t going to help us V.” Responded the American, allowing the projector to flicker off.
“Easy for you to say, going to space probably numbed you a bit to all of this.” Sniped the purple haired mage as he once more rose to begin pacing.
“And all the fights we’ve been in before haven’t done the same for you?” Shot back the astronaut as he grabbed his helmet, choosing to now stand. The little figures scrambled to get onto the figure as he did, disappearing into non-existent gaps in the armour. Blue eyes met grey as the master and servant looked at each other.
Varrick tried to respond, before finding he didn’t have a good comeback. Deciding to let it rest, he continued to pace. It wasn’t long before a buzz notified both it was time to take the field. Both men stiffened, grabbing assorted kit before beginning to head onto the field. “Stay safe out there, you got me? There’s some monsters in the tournament.”
The blond smiled as he put on his helmet, locking into place while a barrier caused light to refract oddly for a moment before returning to normal. Using his spear to point at the moon above, Varrick was certain his servant was smirking under that helmet. “Remember V, they’ve got to reach me before they can hurt me. Good luck.”

So, after saying this I had a look around and finally found my old discarded sheet on an old memory stick. Considering it is pretty much done and I haven't posted a Servant in like six months I figured I'd treat you to a sheet from my old experimental phase. You can see for example that there's no Lore section - instead I merged it into the Character section in an attempt to "show" you his personality through moments in his life rather than simply "tell" you how great he is. Anyways, enjoy an unnecessary third take on the same dude...

Gatsby: I've already said well done, but let me go into a bit more depth. I think you did a really great job encapsulating the character of Gatsby into the sheet, and while the existence of the second NP is more than a little confusing, it's a fun bit that references the original story and falls into the literary analysis like you yourself mentioned. I'd probably have to say that my favorite parts, outside the art, art the golden and green lights. While the second is just a wonderful crystalisation of his mind set, and the first is just funny to imagine the guy bullshitting magic through wealth.
Ambrosius Aurelianus: You know, despite the fact we've had a couple different takes on this guy in short order, it's been refreshing to see some very different view points on the guy. This one probably is my favourite, fitting well enough into fate cannon and going a very different method of things. The relationships are all pretty interesting, and the NP is something I'd never have thought of, so great job. Great to see a new sheet from ya.
Do you want to live?
Then, do not waste any time.
Let us get down to the business of survival.

Blindfold your eyes, so that the approaching night may strike no fear in you.
Let it not burden your soul, nor numb your strides.
Tin Hanan-I've never heard of Tin Hanan before this, but holy FUCK does this go hard as hell. The picture you've painted through flavor text and description is utterly superb, I'd nut if this was an officially added servant. Like, there's something about how you've put it that brings back memories of My first experience playing through Sky:Children of the Light, and hearing about The Legend of the Secret Seekers of the Shadow of the Colossus community. there's just a certain wondrous whimsy to it.
Minotauros- Oh fuck, my guy Dionysus is showing up? Hell yeah man. Good job with forging the concept of a sorrowful monster, it really makes me feel for her. That NP is also REALLY fucking dangerous, so good, quality shit
Ambrosius Aurelianus- Yo, I REALLY like that NP- the theme of moments it carries across his abilities when tied with weak constitution, the soul you've poured into the character of a ruler who can simply do the best he can, no more, despite facing potentially insurmountable odds... It's got that great feeling to it.
Lancer Neil Armstrong- THE LAD IS HERE!!! FUCKING ADORE what you've done with the lad, it makes me sad to look at what I'm doing with mine in comparison to the camaraderie yours gets to enjoy. Wonderfully balanced, and as I said before, I really like the defensive tech, that's a mad good concept.

I love it. I love how you incorporated sefar into such a minor figure in a way that surpasses nasu’s writing and worldbuilding. I’m just curious why you used such a pale FC for someone who lived in the deserts of Africa tho.
(What do you think of my foreigner Dante idea BTW)
Tin Hinan: Damn, now that's a glowup for a fairly obscure figure. Everything looks really well thought out, and the references to African magecraft systems kinda just leaves me wanting more. The connection to Velber-02 is a neat touch, and makes sense with the historical timeline of when the Sahara became a desert. Overall, it looks really good. I just really want to know what that second NP does.
I can’t believe I missed that lancer Neil armstrong sheet. I give it a 10/10 just for the fucking warhammer reference.
Kamera.
great sheet kamera, coming back strong.

I’m still hyped for his Radahn oghuz khan sheet.
Ratatoskr: Cute treerat, galaxy-brained Grand Rider candidate. would summon
Tolkien: Really cool. He works extremely well as a magus, and I would even say that he really should be written as a magus sheet instead of a Servant sheet.
Morrigan: Nice to see artists in the BL CaS community, and design and personality-wise this particular Morrigan rocks. I would imagine Morrigan to be much more powerful and hax in TM though.
Sumeramikoto: Ah yes, the famous Japanese mecha. It's a really cool concept and this one is no exception. (i also have one in the works)
Toscanini: You have pretty interesting choice of modern-era figures, but I must say your execution is still lacking. I get that modern servants tends to be weak (they're not), but yours are just pathetically puny. You could probably take note of the Tolkien sheet above for example, and just make them into mages.
Fiore: I've always wanted to see this guy as a Servant, but that was honestly just too short lol
Hua Mulan: Once again, the overall character design is pretty good, but the sheet itself (especially the NP, honestly what the hell is that lmao) is quite lacking.
Merlin Alter: Neat servant and nice read, but the concept reminds me too much of FGO's Oberon.
Perseus: What a sigma, but also Honestly a pretty tame and restrained Perseus in terms of powerlevel lol.
Lostbelt Azazel: You know, I love how your sheets always has that Arknights Operator profile vibes (i guess it's Lobotomy Corporation in this case).
Ganymede: lmao now that's a really soulful Ganymede sheet, really love this one
Minotaurus: a surprisingly fascinating take on Minotaur in the Dionysian tradition. also keep these angst and tragedy coming
Gatsby: Now this is one is a banger, with both great character design and sheet writing. Keep it up!
Neil Armstrong: Every single Armstrong servants posted in these threads always such a joy to read, and this one is no exception. real great job with this one, and especially that NP is such a cool concept. Would love to see his interaction with my Yuri Gagarin though
Ambrosius: a more vanilla straigtforward concept of Ambrosius, especially compared to the other ones. this one in particular seems to be throughly well-researched

Thank ye. also now that you mentioned it I've actually got inspiration for this sheet from playing No Man's Sky and getting stuck in a desert planet filled with giant rabbits creatures.
Sumeru moment. but yeah, it's just the closest thing I could find for the concept I had in mind.
(it's something, i guess, but i'm not using dante any time soon)
It's just the true activation of her 1st NP.

You definitely need more dark skinned FC’s to be honest. It can’t be that hard to find a good dark skinned FC right?
well i have already one specific Tin Hinan FC with about 80% historical accuracy,
but it's hard to find one with steampunk vibes wielding giant eldritch-shaped guns
