Guys, what can the Blessing of Fairies skill give? Now I’m working with a descendant of Thomas the Rhymer, who, according to legend, received this kind of blessing

    Bellerophon

    Class: Rider

    True Name: Bellerophon

    Gender: Male

    Source: Greek Mythology

    Region: Corinth

    Alignment: Neutral Good

    Height: 6’1

    Weight: 177lbs

    Voice Claim: Masakazu Morita

    Parameters
    Strength: C
    Endurance: C
    Agility: B
    Mana: C
    Noble Phantasm: A++
    Luck: E

    Class Skills

    Riding EX
An interesting version of the Riding Skill. Whereas typically when Riding Skill rises in rank, it translates into the ability to ride more things, Bellerophon’s Riding skill represents the ability to ride a singular creature to absolute perfection.Pegasus is typically a kind creature, who typically needs to Noble Phantasm [Bellerophon: Brindle of Chivalry] to rouse its fighting spirit. The man who bears the Noble Phantasm’s name can rouse Pegasus’ fighting spirit entirely on his own, and instead uses the brindle to increase the sync between rider and mount from 95% to 100%.

    Magic Resistance C
Bellerophon’s magic resistance makes him immune to magecraft with a chant of less than two verses. Any magecraft that is weaker than Greater Magecraft or Greater Rituals will not work on him.

    Personal Skills

    Divinity D
Bellerophon is the son of Poseidon, but the arrogance he shows in regards to the Gods forced the rank of Bellerophon’s Divinity into a paltry D Rank. If brought up to Bellerophon, he’ll laugh it off and make a wisecrack about if this is supposed to be punishment for his arrogance, “It’s a damn shitty one.”

    Tactics B+ (Anti-Monster)
There were two critical factors in the defeat of the Greater Chimera; Pegasus and Bellerophon’s clever strategy to turn the beast's own fire breath against it. Bellerophon’s ability to create strategies suited to beat his opponents handily increases against beast-like or monstrous opponents.

    Bravery B+

A skill representing Bellerophon’s unshakeable faith in he and Pegasus’ ability. They faced down multiple challenges without hesitating, and only failed once. It makes Bellerophon immune to mental interference, and increases his melee damage.

    Charisma D-
Bellerophon was never a leader of people, fighting solely alongside Pegasus in most instances. However, Bellerophon always had an undeniable charm to him, his self-confidence and charming nature convincing people to admire him, to give him second chances, to place their faith in him. So while its rank may be low, it is nonetheless effective in its own way.

    Noble Phantasms

[Bellerophon Kometes: May We Fly Ever Higher]
    Rank: A+ -> A++

    Classification: Anti-Self - Anti-Army
A Noble Phantasm that can be used in two ways. The basic use of Bellerophon Kometes is the “basic” use of the Noble Phantasm, mimicking the effects of [Bellerophon: Brindle of Chivalry] - a powerful attack wherein the user and Pegasus dives towards the opponent and deals massive damage.

The true form of Bellerophon Kometes, however, is an enhanced version of that dive. It transforms the concept of “Bellerophon’s Hubris” into an attack, weaponizing the very thing that ended the hero’s life. Rider and Mount turn into a shooting star of pure fire, crashing into the opponent with force far surpassing the original form of the dive, as it becomes an attack that damages not only the “form” of the target, but the “spirit” as well. However, this enhanced power comes at a cost, as Bellerophon will die once the Noble Phantasm is used, leaving behind only Pegasus, who is likely to choose to fade away with his master.

    Personality

An arrogant hotshot who thinks he can handle any problem thrown his way and that he’ll always win. Bellerophon believes that the best solution to every problem is to face it head on and with gusto. Strategy is fine, but one should never allow themselves to be constrained by that.
Rather than being a “reliable” big brother type, Bellerophon could be described as an “admirable” big brother type, whose extreme confidence and daring causes those he takes under his wing to believe in him as strongly as he believes in himself, and to believe in themselves just as much.
Bellerophon has something of a dislike for the Gods, citing their distance in regards to the mortals they rule over.

    Motive and Attitude towards Master

Bellerophon views his master as a follower or a little brother, depending on the Master. He views them as someone that should be able to rely on him, and that he should be able to live up to their expectations, and inspire them to reach ever greater heights. If his master is of an underhanded nature, Bellerophon won’t be able to respect them, and his loyalty and determination to meet their expectation and inspire them will falter.
Bellerophon seeks to claim the Holy Grail because he sees the chance to battle other heroes and face new challenges to drive himself to ever greater heights. He’s admittedly not sure what he would do with the Grail once he obtained it, but he fights with overwhelming determination to reach it.

    Speech Examples

“Rider Class Servant, Bellerophon. And this is my best friend, Pegasus. With us at your side, there’s no height you can’t reach!”

“There’s no limit to the heights we can reach! And if we crash and burn, we’ll pick ourselves up and do it again!”
“Make sure that you believe in yourself just as much as you believe in me, got it Master?”
“Higher! Higher! Higher and Higher we go! Let’s soar as high as we can so that even if we crash, we’ll be the most spectacular of them all! BELLEROPHON KOMETES!”

    Historical Depiction

A son of Poseidon in Greek Mythology, Bellerophon began his legend when he accidentally killed his own brother, and was sent to King Proteus in order to receive purification. While there, the king’s wife attempted to seduce Bellerophon, and when he rejected her, she told the king he had tried to seduce her instead. So, King Proteus sent Bellerophon to King Iobates of Lycia with secret orders to kill him. However, by the time King Iobates discovered the orders, he had already accepted Bellerophon as his guest. Given hospitality was one of the personal realms of Zeus himself, Iobates wished to avoid personally killing Bellerophon, instead resolving to get the young man killed through a quest. So, he sent the young man to kill the vicious Great Chimera.
Bellerophon rashly accepted this quest, in spite of lacking a method to fight the best. On his way to the location, Bellerophon slept next to a spring created by Pegasus, and Athena appeared to him in a dream, giving him the bit and brindle needed to control Pegasus.
So, Bellerophon approached Pegasus and tamed the great Phantasmal Beast, and in doing so, gained a lifelong companion.
Together, Bellerophon and Pegasus defeated the Great Chimera, the Amazons, and whatever other task King Iobates set before them. Eventually, King Iobates gave up in his attempts to slay Bellerophon, reasoning that someone with Bellerophon’s success had to have the gods on their side. He made Bellerophon his heir and married him to his daughter.
However, eventually Bellerophon grew disillusioned with the gods seeing the disparity between the blessings given to some, the curses given to others, and the world in between. Seeking answers for these questions, Bellerophon attempted to fly to Olympus to confront the Olympians personally. This act of hubris led to him being struck off Pegasus, falling to his death.

    Relationships

    Medusa (All of Them)

Bellerophon avoids Medusa. He claims it to only be natural.
“Come on. Medusa’s like, Pegasus’ mom, yeah? In all past and future, a universal constant has been that introducing your best friend your mom doesn’t approve of to her is the world’s most awkward experience. I’m not gonna put Pegasus through that!”
You wonder if Bellerophon is exaggerating, but then you notice that most of the Medusa tend to gaze at Bellerophon on a variation of suspicion to disgust, and wonder if the heroic spirit may actually be more observant than you.

    Jason

The leader of the Argonauts and a hero from the generation following Bellerophon. Jason finds Bellerophon monstrously annoying, and way too loud. Bellerophon, for his part, seems to refuse to improve Jason’s opinion of him, going out of his way to be even louder around the captain.

    William Shakespeare
They have a relationship that is not unlike two sitcom characters, trading barbs and getting on each other’s nerves with their mere presence, but constantly hanging out anyway.
Thus is the nature of a man who loves tragedy and a man who stubbornly denies it as his genre.

Final ThoughtsPerhaps think of him as Gingka Hagane if he were the protagonist of Gurren Lagann rather than Beyblade Metal Fight.

Owing to our extensive conversation recently in another thread about Arthurian Servants and characters who blur the lines between history and mythology, I was reminded of this figure and whipped him up post-haste. A little on the bland side perhaps, probably would work better fleshed out in a story than just as a Servant sheet but whatever.

    ----

    Saber

"I don’t really like to fight to be honest. But you hurt someone close to me, and for that I don’t want to fight you - I’m going to kill you…"

    True Name: Rhydderch Hael (リデルフ・ハイル)
Epithet: "The Generous King of Strathclyde"
    Region: Britain (6th Century)
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Likes: Rome, Virtue
    Dislikes: Barbarians, Murder
    Talents: Chess, Vamping
    Natural Enemy: Vortigern

    Parameters

    STR: (B) END: (C) AGI: (B) MGI: (C) LCK: (B) NP: (A)

    Character

Saber takes the form of Rhydderch the First - the ruler of Strathclyde, a successor state to the Roman Empire located in the “Old North” which comprised the Brythonic-speaking parts of what is now Northern England and Southern Scotland.

Despite his status as a Celtic King, Rhydderch has the unusual disposition of having a gentle heart unbefitting of a great warrior. Indeed, this soft-spoken intellectual would much rather compete in a game of chess than mortal combat. It certainly doesn’t help that his goofball nature meant that he got involved in silly antics, especially concerning his brother-in-law Merlin whom he adores very much. Nevertheless he still took his duties as a monarch seriously and led his people to victory several times against the invasions by the Anglo-Saxons. Because of his kindness and adherence to Christian virtue, Rhydderch was very popular with the new religion and was aided more than once by local Saints and was well regarded by Christian chroniclers in contrast to his fellow pagan kings. More than anything else, Rhydderch values the bonds he shares with his family, friends and subjects and should he see them be hurt then his fierce inner strength will come out giving him the intensity and explosive drive to overcome any danger. Being a descendant of the Roman Emperor Magnus Maximus, Rhydderch is self-conscious about his image and how he compares to his esteemed ancestor, often approaching situations with the question “what would the Romans do?”. Conversely the one type of person Rhydderch despises more than anybody else are the Vikings and everything they represent, blaming them for the destruction of Strathclyde in their never-ending lust for raiding and pillaging.

In a Holy Grail War, Rhydderch is initially out of his element. The very idea of fighting to claim a sacred relic like the Holy Grail displeases Rhydderch and he wouldn’t have agreed to be summoned if he wasn’t desperate for his wish, as well as wanting to keep it out of the hands of villains. Although he may come across as a wimp at first glance, Rhydderch was still fascinated by the theory of martial arts and his diligent practice of swordsmanship meant that even the famous Knights of the Round Table couldn’t just push him around. As a result going into battle Rhydderch adopts a more defensive strategy, slowly wearing down the opponent rather than trying to run them over with brute force and always giving them an out so they don’t feel cornered and resort to anything extreme. But perhaps the more dangerous element would be Rhydderch’s tactical mind, since it was him that united the otherwise conflicting Celtic tribes and led them to victory, almost recovering all of the stolen land and pushing out the Anglo-Saxons for good if not for the sabotage by a certain jealous prince that ended their resistance attempts. As such Rhydderch will put his thinking cap on and try to predict and outfox the enemy Servants by keeping one step ahead of their plans.

His Wish upon the Grail? Despite his upbeat personality, there are many things Rhydderch regrets such as not being able to save Merlin from his prison or being unable to permanently stop the advances of the Anglo-Saxon forces on Celtic soil. However the thing that weighs heaviest on Rhydderch’s soul is the assassination of his best friend Urien and how Rhydderch was unable to prevent it. Emotion overrides reason and Rhydderch would gladly take Urien’s place despite the massive ripple effects it could have on history.

    Skills

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance - (B)
The protection granted against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. As a warrior King from the age of swords and sorcery, Rhydderch has seen many forms of magecraft across his life - including the miracles performed by the infamous Morgan le Fay. Because of this, he has gained a strong immunity to magical effects and will automatically reject any spells with a chant below three verses. Even if he is targeted by Greater Magecraft and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected in short bursts of exposure.

    Riding - (C)

A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. For Rhydderch, he has a bevy of experience in riding around on the battlefield and his steed Rudlwyt (“Dun-Gray”) became such an uplifting and iconic sight that it earned its place in the Welsh Triads as one of the Three Draft Horses of Britain. As a result, he can handle most vehicles and animals with above average skill, even vehicles that did not exist in the time period he was alive in, for they are no exception. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Personal Skills

Blessing of the Saints - (B)

The holy protection granted by the many Saints that Rhydderch met during his life. Unlike many of his Celtic contemporaries, Rhydderch embraced Christianity and followed its teachings to become a virtuous leader of the people. This caused him to come into contact with several Saints and as he helped them out, so too did they lend their aid in return. Now summoned in the modern day, the Saints offer a fragment of their divine protection onto Rhydderch so that as a Servant, the absoluteness of his body is reinforced and a Plus Modifier is added to his physical Parameters upon entering battle with another Servant.

    Fabian Strategy - (B)

A Skill given to military-orientated Servants that were famous for fighting defensive wars. Being descended from a Roman Emperor, Rhydderch extensively studied their strategies and managed to employ them to great effect during the Anglo-Saxon invasion. By grasping and analyzing the current situation, as long as there is even a 1% chance of survival, Rhydderch’s tactical mind will perceive the optimal route as a silver thread and by following it can turn the tables of battle. The more data Rhydderch has access to and the less of a factor luck plays, the higher the chance of this Skill resolving successfully. However because this is a defensive Skill, it will not activate if Rhydderch is taking the offensive.

    Proof of Friendship - (C)

The capacity to suppress an enemy Servant’s fighting spirit to a certain extent, where then it is possible to start a dialogue. When faced with the overwhelming advance of the Anglo-Saxons, Rhydderch managed to quell the bickering of his fellow Celtic kings and convinced them to form an alliance that pushed the invaders back. Now Rhydderch’s words will pierce the other Servants defences and have a chance to pacify them into negotiations, provided they don’t have a counter-Skill like Mental Pollution. Once a temporary alliance has been formed, a variety of benefits can be granted on all parties involved depending on the situation at hand.

    Noble Phantasm

    Dyrnwyn

    ディルンウィン

The White Hilt Wrapped in Flames of Courage

[Type: Anti-Unit], [Rank: A], [Maximum Range: Variable], [Maximum Number of Targets: 1-2]

A mythic sword wielded by Rhydderch and Number One on the list of the legendary “Thirteen Treasures of Britain”. Back when Rhydderch was merely the Prince of Lanark, he and his brothers were told to try their swords upon the Eighth Treasure - The Whetstone of Tudwal Tudglyd owned by the King and whosoever the Whetstone chose to sharpen their sword instead of dulling it would be made the rightful heir. Despite Rhydderch being seen as a wimp and lacklustre warrior, only his sword was sharpened as the Whetstone recognised that deep inside Rhydderch was the spark of bravery needed to be King. The reason for Rhydderch’s epithet “the Generous” was that despite owning one of the most powerful magical swords in all of Britain, he was never afraid to give it away to someone in need. Yet everyone feared its power and so they always gave it back to him immediately after.

Now when he has finally found the courage to step up and fight, Rhydderch draws his sword Dyrnwyn which suddenly comes to life as the blade is engulfed in majestic blue flames from tip to hilt. Despite the roaring inferno right next to his face, Rhydderch is unfazed due to the flames not burning anything he doesn’t want to harm. Dyrnwyn’s burning blade naturally increases its cutting power and will cause burn damage with each strike, allowing Rhydderch to start to close the gap with any superhuman opponents. But the true strength of Dyrnwyn is that it allows Rhydderch complete control over the blue flames akin to pyrokinesis. Even if the blue flames have spread from the blade onto something Dyrnwyn has cut, with a flick of his wrist Rhydderch can snuff them out, redirect them or increase their intensity.

Given that Dyrnwyn has dominion over fire even beyond its own blue flames, Rhydderch can increase its power by absorbing ordinary flames that are burning in the nearby vicinity. Aside from being a great method of firefighting, it will increase the size of the blue flame emanating from Dyrnwyn. Perhaps if Rhydderch’s Master were to aid him by starting fires nearby to absorb, Dyrnwyn’s blade could grow to such gargantuan size so that Rhydderch could rend an entire town in half. Obviously the larger Dyrnwyn grows the more mana it drains from its user as well and the harder it becomes to swing around in battle so it is a (literal) double-edged sword.

    Lore
“Rhydderch Hael” (Rhydderch the Generous) was a King of the Brittonic kingdom of “Strathclyde” (covering parts of Northern England and Southern Scotland) between the years 580 and 610 AD. Originally the Prince of Lanark, Rhydderch was the son of the tyrannical King Tutagual and makes repeated appearances in Welsh mythology as a popular character because of his strong virtue as a Christian King.

Although he is a bit late in the timeline to be associated with the Arthurian characters, he nevertheless shares three interesting connections - he was made the husband of Merlin’s sister Gwenddydd, he was made the descendant of Emperor Magnus Maximus which made him of the same political dynasty as Vortigern, and he was military allies with King Urien of Rheged (roughly modern day Cumbria) who in the Arthurian Cycle was made into Morgan le Fay’s first husband and the father of Sir Yvain of the Round Table.

Outside of that, he appears in various Christian material, primarily the stories of Saints Columba and Kentigern. In the former, Rhydderch was concerned if he should fall to the hands of an enemy combatant, but Saint Columba reassured him and prophesied that the King would die peacefully in his bed. With the latter, Saint Kentigern was responsible for performing a miracle that saved the life of Rhydderch’s wife after she was accused of adultery, by rediscovering her lost ring in the mouth of a salmon to prove her innocence. The Coat of Arms of Glasgow still features the ring and salmon in honour of this legend.

In history proper, Rhydderch was part of an alliance of Brythonic Kings (one of them being the aforementioned Urien) who rose up against the Anglo-Saxon invaders who were trying to conquer the remaining Celtic parts of Britain such as Hussa of Bernicia. Most notably Rhydderch was part of the Siege of Lindisfarne where his ally Urien was tragically assassinated by his friend Morcant (transposed into Morgan le Fay in legend) and Rhydderch was also the army leader in the decisive Battle of Arfderydd. He was also said to be one of the kings involved in the failed attempt to avenge the death of Elidir Mwynfawr. According to the Stanzas of the Graves, Rhydderch died shortly after Saint Kentigern passed and was buried in Abererch.

    Relationships
Artoria - “Would you consider it bad luck to have met not one but all three of the infamous ‘Red Reapers’ in a single lifetime?”

Boudica - “Queen of the Iceni, I can but only apologise for the actions of my Roman ancestors.”

Cú Chulainn - “I heard that your father invented Fidchell. Would you be willing to teach me the rules? I’d much rather battle in a board game than on the battlefield.”

Eric Blóðøx - “You vikings only leave death and destruction in your wake. I’ll never forgive you for the Siege of Dumbarton!”

Fionn mac Cumhaill - “Salmon truly are strange and miraculous creatures, aren’t they?”

Iskandar - “Oh? I have seen many a strange thing, including the teleporting chariot of Morgan Mwynfawr. But a chariot that flies through the air by the might of divine bulls is certainly a new one.”

Julius Caesar - “It fills me with great honour to receive the Father of Rome.”

Merlin - “Honourable Brother-in-Law, it is good to see you free from your prison in Avalon at last. Your sister never stopped worrying about your safety.”

Morgan le Fay - “You have a lot of nerve, Witch - to dare show your face to me after what you did to Urien.”

Saints - “After all the help I received in the past, I’ll always return the favour to any servants of God.”

Vortigern - “It fills me with deep shame that I even have to consider you ‘family’.”

    Yvain - “I’m sorry I couldn’t do more to save your father…”

    Creator's Notes
A bit of an oddity in writing since Rhydderch straddles the line between history and legend, plus the fact that you have to account for any changes specific to the Nasuverse.

Considering that Noble Phantasms are supposed to be a secret trump card and are widely considered to be the climax of reading a sheet, I figured that Rhydderch shouldn’t have the flaming sword every time he draws his weapon and so this ended up directing his character even more into the Gohan direction than originally intended.

The Faceclaim is Adult Gohan in his Apprentice Kai outfit wielding the Z-Sword during the Buu Saga of “Dragon Ball Z”. I saw the picture of the card I used in the NP section from the Dokan video game and I immediately thought of Rhydderch when I saw what looked at glance to be a flaming sword and so I decided Gohan would therefore be the face of the character.

As usual, all comments and criticisms are duly welcome~

    Poet of Caucas

Ah... I'm alive again. Tired, with unnecessary fame, an outcast... a hero of our time. Calm down, master, I'm not going to leave you. If my destiny is to go against everything, so be it.

    Class: Avenger
    True Name: Mikhail Lermontov
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Place of Origin: Russian Empire
    Armament: sable

    STR — C
    END — B
    AGL — B
    MGI — C
    LCK — C
    NP — B

    Class skills:

    Avenger: None
This skill was replaced by his skill Prophet

    Oblivion Correction: None
This skill was replaced by his skill Death of the Poet

    Self Replenishment: C
One's Magical Energy endlessly surges until their revenge is accomplished. Recovers a minuscule amount of magical energy every turn.

    Personal skills:

    Death of the Poet EX

Avenger's poem, which brought him fame and exile to the Caucasus. It was written on the death of Pushkin in a duel with Dantes, in which Avenger blamed high society for the death of the poet.

This skill allows Avenger to take revenge on those he chooses as friends. This could be a master, another servant, or even a person unrelated to the Grail War. Their death activates this skill, people forget a lot, but the Avenger will not forget and will not forgive anyone for the death of people close to him, people he admires. He will know where the killers are hiding, his ridicule and attacks will inflict especially serious wounds on them. This skill allows the Avenger to activate his Noble Phantasm

    And you, oh, vainglory decedents
Of famous fathers, so mean and base,
Who’ve trod with ushers’ feet the remnants
Of clans, offended by the fortune’s plays!
In greedy crowd standing by the throne,
The foes of Freedom, Genius, and Repute —
You’re hid in shadow of a law-stone,
For you, and truth and justice must be mute! …
But there is Court of God, you, evil manifold! —
The terrible court: it waits;
It’s not reached by a ring of gold,
It knows, in advance, all thoughts’ and actions’ weights.
Then you, in vain, will try to bring your evil voice on:
It will not help you to be right,
And you will not wash of with all your bloody poison,
The Poet’s righteous blood!

    Prophet EX

Avenger's poem is a kind of polemic with Pushkin's poem of the same name and its direct continuation. The lyrical hero, having received the gift, became an outcast for society, which did not want to accept his words. Avenger himself felt this way throughout his life, and this poem is partly about him. This skill cements Avenger's existence as a person that can never be accepted by society, that he will always resist it.

"Look, there is an example for us!
He was expelled from life, like ours:
The fool was forcing us to trust
That God is speaking through his mouth!

So, see, my children: how grim,
Thin, pale he is -- with shaggy hair!
Look, how poor he is and bare,
    How despise all people him!"

    Mtsyri A

A skill based on Avenger's poem of the same name, about a mountain boy who was captured by the Russians during the Caucasian War and then grew up in a Georgian monastery. Already as a young man, he runs away from the monastery in the hope of getting to his homeland.
The main character spends three days in freedom - in the mountains, where he receives mortal wounds in a fight with a leopard. The young man is found and returned to the monastery. He dies, having managed to tell the old monk about his experiences and his feelings. This skill allows Avenger to escape from prisons, like some count of Monte-Cristo, at the cost of his life; he will be able to use the skill three times before his powers completely leave him

Life in exchange for freedom... a worthy price

    Fairy blessing D

A weak skill, a sign that the user was marked by the fairy queen herself. Avenger is a descendant of Thomas the Rhymer, who received the gift of poetry from the fairy. Due to his kinship, he can claim this skill, which gives an increase in luck at critical moments, but his rank is very insignificant

    Noble Phantasm:

    Демон
I am the one nobody likes I'm the one whose eye destroys hope, I whip my earthly servants, I'm king of knowledge and freedom, I am an enemy of heaven, I evil nature

Avenger's poem is about the love of a demon for a Georgian princess named Tamara, who dies in the arms of a fallen angel.

This NP can only be activated with the skill Death of the Poet; after activation, Avenger's body turns black, he does not grow wings, but he can fly. In this form, Avenger spreads waves of destructive energy around him - in his presence, plants dry out, animals and people begin to get sick and rot, stones crack and collapse, this destructive aura also affects the master.

    Description:

Likes: Beautiful ladies, nature of the Caucasus, Alexander Pushkin
Dislikes: High society, restrictions on his freedom, boredom
    Natural enemy: Nikolay Martynov

Avenger’s True name is Mikhail Lermontov, Russian poet, prose writer, playwright, artist. Lieutenant of the Life Guards Hussar Regiment.
Lermontov's creativity, which combines civil, philosophical and personal motives, met the urgent needs of the spiritual life of Russian society. It marked a new flowering of Russian literature and had a great influence on the most prominent Russian writers and poets of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Lermontov is a sad man, tired of life, who prefers solitude. He does not like to be bored and, out of boredom, can begin to pester random people; he is one of those who will argue for the sake of arguing, openly provoking people.

Despite this, Lermontov will always be a loyal friend and gallant gentleman. He has problems with self-esteem, although he does not show it, but deep down he belittles himself, which is noticeable in his work.

    Relations:

Alexander Pushkin — Alexander Sergeevich... what an honor for me. My name is Mikhail Yurievich, I have long dreamed of meeting you

Nikolay Martynov — You really shot it. Do you want to do it again? Try it, fool

Ada Lovelace — Wouldn't a fair lady like to enjoy an evening of poems from a true Byronic hero? What do you mean, your father is George Byron himself?

This sheet is a bit of a mess. I syncretized Ogier with Oriolz for the sake of better explaining why Ogier has Tristan's sword but then forgot to actually put that in the sheet. Not to mention that fiddling so much with the timeline is bound to annoy someone. *sigh*

    ----
    Saber

    "..."

    True Name: Ogier
AKA: Ogier le Danois, Holger Danske
    Epithet: “The Sleeping Paladin
    Region: Denmark (Carolingian Cycle)
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Likes: Elsinore Beer, Milfs
    Dislikes: Apples, Betrayal
    Talents: Poker, Somnambulism
    Natural Enemy: Morgan le Fay

    Parameters
    STR: (B) END: (B) AGI: (B) MGI: (C) LCK: (C) NP: (C)

    Character
Saber takes the form of Ogier the Dane (“Ogier de Danemarche”), one of the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne…when he wasn’t fighting against them anyways.

Even among the other Paladins, Ogier was considered an oddity as he was a drifter with a mysterious past and a strange personality. Perhaps it's because of Ogier’s delayed reactions and his slow speech pattern that gives him a dreamlike quality and is furthered by him being serene to the point of dissonance and is often seen smiling even in the midst of battle and carnage. The sad truth behind this disposition is that when the witch Morgan le Fay desired to keep Ogier in Avalon to be her lover, she used the Crown of Forgetfulness to ensure he stayed by essentially making him braindead. However, despite Ogier eventually escaping from Avalon, the end result of the Crown being used on a mortal meant that it left permanent scarring to where Ogier has great difficulty in both recalling past memories as well as forming new ones. This has caused Ogier to become detached from even those he calls friends and those he loves as you never know when he might just wander off without meaning to and start a new life in another place. It certainly doesn’t help that Ogier likes to lean into his status as the “Sleeping Hero” and pretend to fall asleep during important conversations to troll people he finds annoying. For their own part, the other Paladins enjoyed Ogier's presence but they often had to remind themselves to be wary of his idiosyncrasies - especially when it came to leaving him unsupervised with (usually married) women.

In a Holy Grail War, Ogier is fairly standard in terms of modus operandi - simply walk around until he finds someone to fight and starts slashing with his short-sword Cortain. Even though he is always open to listening to his Master, Ogier’s difficulty in remembering conversations and orders can make him difficult to control unless the pair take preemptive measures such as giving Ogier a bunch of cue cards to read off of. Given that he is the “Sleeping Hero” of Denmark, Ogier is prone to falling asleep in any circumstance, but uniquely this does not hinder him as he has mastered the art of Somnambulism so that he can keep fighting as normal even whilst he is asleep, often to the frustration of his opponent. Although he may come across as detached, Ogier is still a Paladin and naturally considers himself a man of faith therefore it will be difficult for him to cooperate with an evil-alignment Master who does not hide their intentions.

His Wish upon the Holy Grail? It’s a simple and humble thing, but Ogier wishes to reverse the effects of the Crown of Forgetfulness so that he can finally remember all the good people in his life - hopefully including his Master as well and repay their kindness in full.

    Skills

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance - (B)
The protection granted against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Due to the fact that Ogier was a Paladin who fought in an age where magic was still used out in the open and by powerful sorcerers, Ogier has developed plenty of immunity to the effects of magecraft. Now as a Servant, he will automatically cancel any spell he comes into contact with that is below three verses. Even if he is targeted by greater magecraft and Greater Rituals, their effects on Ogier will be reduced moderately.

    Riding - (C)
A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Rider-class Servants will typically possess a high rank. It is said that dragon type mounts are an exception, requiring a different ability other than Riding. Because the Paladins were the elite when it came to being Knights, Ogier has a bevy of experience when it comes to riding mounts - in particular his famous steed Broiefort. As a result, most vehicles and animals that Ogier encounters can be handled with above average skill, even those that did not exist in his own lifetime, for they are no exception. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Personal Skills

    Bergentrückung - (B)
An ability born of the user being a member of the folklore motif “The King Asleep in Mountain” and related sleeping tales. Owing to the supernatural intervention of Morgan le Fay, Ogier has an incongruous amount of lifeforce that could easily rival Methuselah. However the Paladin decided to use that and go into hibernation in his home of Kronborg Castle so that he could rise again centuries later and save his nation from peril during its darkest hour. Now as a Servant, Ogier can use the legend of the sleeping hero to go beyond the normal mana recharging that Heroic Spirits normally receive by going dormant and instead regenerate his health to the point that even grievous wounds can be healed in a matter of hours with enough sleep. Ogier does have to be careful though as the longer he sleeps, the harder it is to wake back up when he needs to...though it seems he’s practiced at being able to fight in his sleep.

    Nature of a Rebellious Spirit - (C)
The temperament to never remain at one location and never embrace a lord - a wandering soul that does not have the capacity to be king nor is capable of finding his own king. Despite being the child of Danish royalty, Ogier was never destined to be a monarch and instead became one of the iconic protagonists of the “Cycle of the Rebellious Vassals” of the Old French Chansons de Geste. His unnatural longevity when combined with his dislike of ennui meant that he was little more than a drifter and spent as much time fighting against Charlemagne as he did serving under him as a Paladin. Now in the modern era, Ogier can negate mental-type Skills that try to influence him with an equal or lower Rank. This is very useful for disobeying enemies that want to control him, but it will also automatically cancel out positive Skills such as an ally’s Charisma as well unfortunately.

Protection of the Fairies - (A)
A blessing from Elementals which allows the user to increase their Luck Parameter in dangerous situations. At the moment when Ogier was a newborn baby in his crib, he was visited by six Fairies from Avalon, each one bestowing their favour to him with the last being Morgan le Fay who bound their Fates together. Even when Ogier tried to forfeit his life at the end of his journey, Morgan’s magic intervened and prevented him from dying. Now as a Servant, whenever Ogier is in danger, an observer with high spiritual sense might notice six tiny fairies flying around Ogier and pushing anything dangerous like projectiles out of the trajectory of Ogier, thus making it look like he effortlessly dodged. Against things like magical or demonic attacks, the effectiveness of this miraculous “luck” has to be calculated in a Roll of the attack against the fairies’ magic.

    Noble Phantasm

    Cortain

    Épée Courte du Chevalier Douloureux

[Type: Anti-Unit], [Rank: C], [Maximum Range: 2-3 Metres], [Maximum Number of Targets: 1]

A mystic short-sword gifted to Ogier by Karaheut of India for his duel against Brunamont the Savage. Many centuries ago it was originally a broadsword named Vistamara, crafted by the maverick blacksmith Wayland to be the sharpest sword in the world. However it was prone to breaking due to its fragility, as it did when its original wielder, Sir Tristan of the Round Table used it to strike down Morholt of Ireland in a duel. The broken sword found its way to the human blacksmith Escurable who after twenty failed reforges finally managed to bring it back to a form of utility at the compromise of changing the blade into a short-sword, giving rise to its new name - Cortain (“Short”) but Ogier can’t remember all that so he normally calls it Kurt (“Chivalrous” in Old Norse) instead.

Nevertheless Cortain has suffered a severe Rank Down compared to its glory days in the hands of Tristan. Not that Ogier cares as he still finds it more than capable as a weapon to cut down his opponents. Unique to Ogier however is that by Invoking the sword’s True Name, it will summon the ghostly image of the Archangel Michael once again to stand float by Ogier and help guide the blade of Cortain to strike down the opponent. Outside of giving Ogier a lift out of danger via carrying him using his wings, Michael generally refuses to directly involve himself since fighting over a fake Holy Grail is so blasphemous. Instead his insightful advice and moral support is often more invaluable to the airheaded Ogier. Although if the chips are down and the circumstances are dire enough then Michael will hijack Ogier’s body via Soul Integration in order to take command of the situation by controlling Ogier’s body as if it were his own. With Divine strength and speed flowing through his body, Ogier becomes a much more capable fighter. But this goes the opposite way as well since Michael has been known to impede Ogier if he thinks the Paladin is in the wrong, such as in life when Ogier tried to kill Charlemagne’s son and Michael appeared to physically stop him. Maintaining Michael’s form via mana does get expensive over long periods of time so he must be summoned with moderation. Ogier being Ogier…If Michael is being an especially annoying backseat driver then Ogier will loudly exclaim that their connection is breaking up before quickly dismissing him.

As an aside, it is said that one of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom - the ceremonial sword Curtana is actually the sword of Sir Tristan. But whatever the truth is, it is shrouded in mystery since not even Ogier is certain of what is real or not…

    Lore
Born as the child of the Queen of Danemarche, Ogier was a heathen prince whose mother was plotting how they could take over the Kingdom of Arthur when unbeknownst to her, a group of little fairies were passing through and flitted in through the window of Castle Kronborg to spy on the newborn Ogier in his crib. Entranced by the beauty of the infant, the six fairies each bestowed a gift upon the boy with the last fairy, Morgan le Fay giving Ogier extreme longevity as well as binding his Fate to hers.

Growing up Ogier became known as the Red Knight because of his penchant for wearing red armour. Following his mother’s advice, the pair travelled to Britain and took up residence in the cursed Edinburgh Castle. Hearing of suspicious activity surrounding the castle, Sir Gawain and Sir Sagramore of the Round Table decided to investigate. Having forced entry, Gawain found himself fighting off against the Red Knight who shouldn’t have been a match for Gawain during the day but something was amiss and Gawain found his strength being sapped. Meanwhile Sagramore was exploring the upper levels when he encountered the Queen herself and managed to dispel her evil enchantment affecting intruders of the castle. With his strength restored Gawain managed to dispatch the Red Knight easily. Defeated, both Queen and Knight fled back to Danemarche.

Out of shame Ogier decided to ditch the whole “Red Knight” schtick and instead took to a vagabond life travelling around Europe. He made a name for himself by defending various Kingdoms against the rise of the Saracen forces trying to spread into Europe. However as time passed Ogier started to notice something strange, after reaching adulthood he started to age a lot slower than other people and after a hundred years of life and losing all the people close to him, Ogier sets out on a ship never to return only for a freak storm to destroy the ship and for Ogier to wash up on the shores of Avalon. Once he awoke the fairies took Ogier to the enchantress Morgan le Fay who explained how she knew him and how she chose him to be her paramour in her domain of Avalon. Feeding him a poisoned apple that robbed Ogier of his strength, Morgan placed the Crown of Forgetfulness on his head which made him forget the mortal world and become her docile lover and gave her the child Meurvin who would go on to be a great Knight in his own right.

But after a further two hundred years living in this eternal paradise, Ogier could not resist the sense of ennui building up within him and desired to leave Avalon. Walking the length of the Isle, Ogier came across the mysterious Tower that Morgan forbade him to ever go near. Spying a person at the top, Ogier watched as the white haired man proceeded to punt a squirrel-like creature out of the tower and into a magical portal leading back to the Human World. Taking his chances, Ogier dashed at the portal and leaped inside right as it was closing. Waking up, Ogier found that he had crash landed in the Kingdom of Lombardy right as it was being invaded by a Saracen army. Picking up a shield and sword, Ogier helped repel the heathen invasion and for that he was made an honorary guest of the Lombard court by King Desiderius where Ogier settled down for a while and took a wife who bore him a child. However the peace couldn’t last as another invasion occurred, this time by the Frankish King Charlemagne who attacked Lombardy at the Pope’s bidding in what culminated in the Siege of Pavia.

With Charlemagne now King of Lombardy as well, nothing seemed like it could stop him…except for one man. As it happened, during the Siege Charlemagne’s son Charlot got into a fight with Ogier’s son and killed him. This enraged Ogier who made it his mission to get revenge and spent the next seven years waging war against Charlemagne. It seemed like their battles would never end until eventually the might of the Paladins triumphed and Ogier was defeated and imprisoned. Spending a further seven years in prison, Ogier had a lot of time to mull over his life decisions and let his anger cool. Thus when the Saracens once again invaded Italy (now annexed into Charlemagne’s Holy Roman Empire), Ogier could only watch on as a spectator from the window of his prison cell. Gradually the forces of Charlemagne were defeated when a stray trebuchet exploded against the prison wall and allowed Ogier to escape.

Upon stepping onto the battlefield, Ogier noticed the city’s Standard-Bearer fleeing and had dropped the flag of Charlemagne - the “Oriflamme”. Picking the flag up, Ogier made his way back to the Emperor’s camp and returned it to Charlemagne. Despite their animosity, the Emperor chose to Knight Ogier as they decided to fight together. When the Saracen champion Karaheut saw Ogier he immediately challenged him to a match of single combat but before they could start, enemy mooks jumped Ogier and dogpiled him, capturing him and taking him back to their camp. The Emir of the Saracens decided that since things were going so well, he decided that the brutish warrior Brunamont of Mallorca should marry his daughter, but she refuses and hearing of his strength, appoints Ogier as her Champion to fight on her behalf. Since Karaheut was in love with her as well, he discreetly passed Ogier his sword Curtana which originally belonged to the Arthurian Knight Sir Tristan. After swiftly dispatching Brunamont, Ogier commandeered the horse Broiefort and rode back to Charlemagne to fight together and push back the Saracens.

Years go by and the Twelve Paladins of Charlemagne form with Ogier making up one of their ranks. However their happy go lucky adventures together are transient as the treacherous Count Ganelon plots the murder of his stepson Roland by leaking information of a way to ambush the Franks at the Roncevaux Pass to the Saracens. Things went as planned and Roland and his men were overwhelmed, forcing Roland to blow on his Oliphant for help. Hearing the distress signal, Charlemange and company rush to Roland’s aid with Ogier doing battle with the Emir Baligant. Although the Franks were victorious, they lost many men including several of the Paladins which led Ogier to tearfully depart Francia for his homeland of Denmark where he returned to Kronborg Castle. Morgan le Fay appeared in front of him one last time and convinced him that rather than take his own life, it would be better if she put him to sleep, awaiting for the day when his country is in peril and he would rise to save it.

    Relationships
Artoria - “Morgan, have you come to take me back to Avalon?”

Astolfo - “Crossdressing again. Whatever would your father think?”

Charlemagne - “Why not, it might feel good to serve as a Paladin once more.”

Constantine XI - “I know you, you’re the guy who’s daughter Oliver slept with a hundred times in one night…Huh, what do you mean that was someone else?”

Gawain - “Hmm…Fighting you feels familiar, but I can’t put my finger on why.”

Hans Christian Andersen - “Did you make sure to picture my good side when putting me in your fairy tales?”

Hector & Lancelot - “I know you guys, it’s Jack and Jack right?”

Karl der Große - “I know not who this ‘Autcharius Francus’ you speak of is…but he certainly sounds handsome.”

Mandricardo - “Durandal? You look quite different from the last time we met, Roland.”

    Morgan le Fay - “...”

Oberon/Vortigern - “So it was you, the one who murdered Charlot, the act I was blamed for instead.”

Roland - “I am sorry for not being able to do more for you at Roncevaux Pass.”

Tristan - “Hey, your sword’s bigger than mine…”

William Shakespeare - “Elsinore, that’s where I live! Wait, but I am me - not Hamlet?”

    Creator's Notes
I get that the Twelve Paladins might not be as popular as the Knights of the Round Table, but I was surprised by the lack of prior Ogier sheets - I figured the Tristan and/or Morgan connection might have raised some interest but it seems not.

As is common in regards to heroes based on Cycles of legends, the hardest part was not finding the Noble Phantasm nor the feats for Skills, but rather constructing a logical and consistent timeline of events for their Lore section. There’s probably someone who disagrees with how I put my timeline together but oh well. Not unrelated was the difficulty in establishing a distinct personality for Ogier that doesn’t overlap with any of the other Paladins. Since the Nasuverse seems determined to have the Paladins be a bunch of weirdos, I guess Ogier’s schtick would be that he’s something of a Satsuki Kurogiri but also as a surfer-dude.

Reading the trivia about how in a French deck of playing cards, the Jack of Spades is meant to represent Ogier reminds me of the time aeons ago when I tried and failed to create a whole Servant Class named “Eikon” (after Lovecraft’s use of the word) which dealt with people heavily associated with iconography such as Mona Lisa or Ono no Michikaze for Hanafuda cards. I think I was also playing “Zelda: A Link Between Worlds” at the same time so there was an idea for their collective Class Skill to be something involving the Euclidean Plane. There isn’t a particular point to this story, I just felt like mentioning it.

The FC is literally “Infernoble Knight Ogier” from the Yugioh TCG, I just really liked that the card art didn’t go the lazy route of making him look like a viking just because he’s Danish and hypothetically would have lived within the “Viking Age”.

    Iphigenia
    Class: Caster

    True Name: Iphigenia

    Gender: Female

    Region: Greece

    Source: Greek Mythology and Religion

    Alignment: Neutral

    Height: 160cm

    Weight: 53kg
    Voice Claim: Aoi Koga

    Parameters

    Strength: D-

    Endurance: C-

    Agility: C-

    Mana: EX

    Noble Phantasm: A

    Luck: C+

    Class Skills

    Item Creation: Rank C
Possess the skill, although it is not her specialty. She can create torches with surprising efficiency, however.

    Territory Creation: Rank EX (B+)
A skill that comes far more naturally to Iphigenia. As a result of her inherited divinity from Hekate, she is able to claim any territory considered a “crossroads” even if there was a Bounded Field previously in place. She is also able to create and claim territory; though not to the same ease as crossroads. Because of her legend as Iphigenia, altars (both sacrificial and wedding related) both fall under her “claim”.

    Magic Resistance: Rank EX (B++)
As a result of being an aspect of the Goddess of Magic, Iphigenia’s magic resistance is extremely high, being practically impenetrable. However, as a result of her magic resistance being derived from being a posthumous divine spirit, her magic resistance is extremely variable. Against non-European magic, or magic from a divine spirit that outranks Hekate, it decreases to the equivalent of Magic Resistance B++.

    Personal Skills

    Divinity: Rank B
It is said that Iphigenia was turned into the Goddess Hekate, as such, she has a high rank of divinity. However, due to specifically manifesting as “Iphigenia” it is a lower rank than if she truly embraced “being Hekate”.

High Speed Divine Words: Rank D++~EX

The ability to chant magical spells at an accelerated rate, using the language of the Age of the Gods to reduce the amount of words required. Thanks to her inherited Divinity from the Goddess Hekate, Iphigenia has an inherent knowledge and connection to these words. However, as Iphigenia never touched magic in her life, she is inexperienced using them, and tends to mess up. The longer Iphigenia is summoned, the higher the rank of this skill gets.

    Magecraft: Rank D~EX
As a result of receiving her powers from the Goddess of Magic, Iphigenia has an innate knowledge of Magecraft. Like with her divine words, Iphigenia needs time to hone this. While her ability may be limited at the moment, the longer she is summoned, the more incredible her spellcasting becomes, becoming nearly unmatched at the peak of her power.

Curse of the Tantalids: Rank E
A skill shared by all members of her family. It decreases the effective luck stat of any servant who possesses it by 2 ranks, and makes it so that the servant will either be drawn towards self-destructive choices (either in the moment, or choices that will lead to their destruction/make enemies), or other servants who did not possess a positive bond with them in life/are currently allies will view them as the most attractive target*. Iphigenia’s Curse is of the “target of aggression” variety rather than the “self-destruction” variety. Thanks to Iphigenia dying young and being slain by another bearer of the curse, her ranking in the curse is low, as it did not have as many chances to work against her.

*An example of a servant who would possess a more inhibiting form of the “self-destruction” flavor of the curse would be Iphigenia’s Grandfather, Atreus, while someone possessing a more extreme “target of aggression” flavor of the curse would be her younger sister, Elektra. Exceptionally cursed individuals, such as her father Agamemnon, would suffer both affects, while her younger brother Orestes - thanks to various factors surrounding his life and his nature as “The One Who Ended the Curse of the Tantalids” - would not possess the skill at all, but rather a Noble Phantasm related to it.

    Noble Phantasms

    Elpidofóros Ánemos: Blood Stained Sails
    Rank: B+
    Type: Anti-Obstacle
A Noble Phantasm with the core function of “Kill the Servant who uses it”. Recreating the legend of Iphigenia’s sacrifice, it trades the life of the servant in order for a [guaranteed effect] of making sure that her master reaches [their destination]. It could be described as an effect that affects causality in much the same way as [Gae Bolg: Barbed Spear that Pierces with Death] - locking the cause as “Iphigenia’s Death” and the effect as “The Destination Shall be Reached”. Once the deal has been made, its effects are immutable, with no injury or obstacle stopping the target from reaching their destination. An explosion that would vaporize them would only char them to near-death, a detached head will reattach itself, a hole punched through their torso shall not stop the target’s march to their destination. The “immortality” granted by this Noble Phantasm will linger for a small time after the target arrives at their destination, but, depending on level of injury, they may die soon after reaching their destination.

    Personality

A cheerful, upbeat big sister type. Easily excitable and filled with thoughts of romance and adventure. The kind of servant to eagerly distract their master from the Grail War for a day on the town so she can enjoy what the modern world has to offer, and then babble about her crush to her master when she gets back. She gives the impression of a bubbly, excitable airhead, who believes that any problem can be solved with enough optimism.
This upbeat nature is not all there is to Iphigenia, however. Any mention or questions about her parents will be answered with detached, passive-aggressive responses - if not outright hostility. While passive-aggressive regarding the topic of her parents, Iphigenia will take an oppurtunity to talk about her younger siblings, often describing them with utmost praise and affection.

    Motive and Attitude Towards Master

Iphigenia acts as a cheerful best friend towards her master in most cases, trying to keep their spirits up as often as her’s with regards to strategizing. There are few masters Iphigenia can’t get along with, however, she does have a preference for working with masters who are around her apparent age.
Iphigenia’s wish for the Holy Grail is to use it to summon a servant she has “a score to settle with”. She refuses to say anything further on the subject.

    Historical Depiction

Iphigenia is the eldest daughter of Agamemnon, commander of the Greek Forces at Troy, and Clytemnestra, sister to the famous Helen of Troy. Her younger siblings include Elektra, Chrysothemis, and Orestes.

A member of the cursed House of Atreus, which began with Tantalus, all its members are doomed to misery. In spite of this, life for Iphigenia had happy beginnings, as the princess of the most powerful king in all of Greece at the time. She looked out for her siblings, was close to the princesses of other city states, and was fascinated by the rumors of the Prince of Phthia. Her life and good fortunes would change, however, with the kidnapping of her aunt Helen by Paris, a Trojan Prince.

As the armies of Greece marshaled, Agamemnon, Iphigenia’s beloved father, incurred the wrath of Artemis, and so the goddess halted the winds, stranding the Greeks on the beaches of Aulis. The seer Calchas revealed that the goddess would only allow the winds to blow again if Agamemnon sacrificed his greatest treasure; his daughter Iphigenia. Spurred on by his brother Menealus, eager to reclaim his wife, Agamemnon called his wife and daughter to Aulis, claiming that Iphigenia was to be married to Achilles, greatest warrior of the Greeks and Prince of Phthia.

Agamemnon’s will then broke, and he attempted to retract his decision, but Clytemnestra and Iphigenia, infant Orestes in tow, had arrived in Aulis, and the nature of the deception was revealed to Achilles. Worse, Odysseus - who had heard Calchas’ words - was soon interrogated by the army around the prophecy, and when he revealed the Goddess conditions, the Greeks pressed him into leading the mob to seize Iphigenia by force if Agamemnon refused to do the deed. Inflamed by both the deception and the mob mentality his fellow soldiers had fallen into, Achilles bravely declared that he would single-handedly fight the entire Greek Army if he had to in order to keep Iphigenia safe.

Iphigenia, however, had different plans, and agreed to undergo the sacrifice. No one truly knows why. Was it fear? Was it loyalty to the Greek cause? Was it out of love for her family, who she feared would die in the crossfire? No one but Iphigenia knows with 100% certainty, but after telling her mother to raise her siblings well, and try not to hold it against her father too much, she climbed to the altar, and was sacrificed by her own father.

By Artemis’ will, she was transformed into an aspect of the Goddess Hecate after death.

    Relationships

    Achilles
Iphigenia is Achilles’ self-proclaimed love interest. It's not necessarily a hard title to achieve (a princess from Scyros beat her to the title at least, as did a certain refugee from Opus depending on who you ask), but it's one Iphigenia will proudly boast about. That being said, her reactions with the hero when they are face to face are remarkably down to earth and natural. They give the impression of two old classmates who did not get many chances to interact personally, but are understand each other enough to instantly hit off upon reuniting.

    Odysseus
Iphigenia treats Odysseus with the same passive-aggressiveness she responds to questions about her parents with. Odysseus seems understanding about this and doesn’t go out of his way to interact with the Princess where he can avoid it. No point in interacting with someone you don’t need to, after all.

    Paris
Iphigenia should despise Paris for his role in the Trojan War, but her inner big sister won’t let her. She’ll sometimes take the time to thank Apollo for helping her brother.

    Raikou

Iphigenia is awkward around Raikou, with Raikou’s obsession with motherhood causing Iphigenia to be uncomfortable around the mystic slayer. Raikou, for her part, seems unaware of the awkwardness, and keeps trying to get through to her after Kintoki blabbed about much fun he had hanging out with her and Achilles. Iphigenia’s continued avoidance of her has caused Raikou to come to the conclusion that Iphigenia is a delinquent.

Oooooh ! I really like this one (tho maybe it's because I have a massive Helen bias). That NP is a pretty cool concept, it fits her well, and properly feels like the sublimation of her myth while also being a proper trump card. All in all, a nice sheet, as always !

Well, can't blame ya for having a Helen Bias, certainly an understandable one! Glad ya found her enjoyable. She's been cooking in the back of my head since way back when I first discovered Fate, so finally getting a sheet out for her that I'm as satisfied with as this one was definitely a good feeling.

Her Noble Phantasm was definitely something that came together pretty early in its concept, but the exact mechanics of it came together much slower. It didn't reach its final form until practically this draft.

I barely make sheets but I appreciate that the few I have made has ranked me in B. I'll take that completely arbitrary ranking and make it my whole personality for now on. I gratefully accept my reward:

    Class Skills

    Riding | —

This Skill has been lost and its effects incorporated in the 'Heavy Cavalry at Lechfeld' Skill.

    Magic Resistance | D

There are no particular anecdotes of Rider resisting spells, and his Rank in this Skill as a Rider is somewhat lackluster as a result. A different sort of interaction with spells is instead regulated by his version of the 'Peculiar Remains' Skill.

    ________________________

    Personal Skills

Heavy Cavalry at Lechfeld | A

A composite Skill that provides the benefits of B-Rank Riding, C-Ranked Military Tactics and C-Ranked Instinct. Additionally, it grants Rider a conceptual advantage against enemies with almost any sort of mount, due to his association with using heavy cavalry to trounce light cavalry. The sole exception are enemies with heavily armoured mounts whose armour matches or surpasses the Rank of his Noble Phantasm. Rider's advantage extends to any weapon and armour he wields, but also to any he creates.

From the point of view of the history of military tactics, the battle of Lechfeld established the superiority of heavy cavalry over hit-and-run tactics carried out by light cavalry troops. It was the beginning of a long era of warfare during which the battlefield was dominated by knights clad in nigh-impenetrable armour and steeds as well-protected as their riders.

The point of view of the ones taking the battlefield on that day was very different.

On that day, he arrived at the site of his last battle in the nick of time. On that day, he fought and strained to his utmost with full fervour, until his body gave out entirely.

    That's what mattered to him.

    Charisma (Law) | B ⇄ Nature of a Rebellious Spirit | D

While acting according to his Master's orders, Rider possesses a variant of the Charisma Skill particularly effective towards increasing the parameters of those with a Lawful alignment—though still effective to a lesser extent for those who lack that alignment as well. If he were to somehow be summoned in a scenario in which Otto the Great was also present in some form, Rider would possess this Skill while acting according to Otto's orders as well. Though, that'd certainly be a rather exceptional case.

Under other circumstances, however, when neither of the above apply, this Skill changes into something approaching its opposite. It comes to embody a wandering nature, incapable of putting down roots in a fixed location, and incompatible with the concept of ruling over others. In other words, it becomes the mark of a rebel who can never hope to take the place of a ruler. Because of this fundamental opposition to rulers, this Skill can negate mental interference abilities that target Rider and have an equal or lower Rank. This makes it harder for his enemies to control him against his will. However, as a drawback, certain positive Skills, such as an ally’s Charisma, will also be automatically cancelled out.

...The shouts of celebration were nearly deafening. The cheering overpowered by far the clanging of the metal that characterised the preparations for a decisive battle. Upon his unexpected arrival, Rider's name was praised to high heaven. The knights of the kingdom would've followed him anywhere.

...However, that was only as long as he acted as an extension of his king.

The real authority, not in terms of titles, but in terms of trust, was someone other than Rider. The one those knights all wholly believed in was his king. Above all, those jubilant shouts were celebrating that a warrior of Rider's worth had been able to regain his faith in his liege as well.

It was only his reconciliation with Otto that allowed him to be welcomed like so anywhere.

Before that, when he'd rebelled against Otto's authority, the people of Lorraine, who'd barely tolerated Rider as a ruler in the first place, had refused to cooperate with him. Instead, they 'd ousted him and driven him away from his own lands, forcing him to continue his rebellion from elsewhere.

Then, though his reconciliation with his liege had been fully sincere, he couldn't help but find that welcome bittersweet.

    Peculiar Remains | C++

The mysterious episode of the theft of Rider's corpse, as narrated by Thietmar of Merseburg, who himself admits to knowing few details, is crystallised in this Skill. Among the different Servants who possess it for different reasons, its effects can be rather varied.

In Rider's case, this Skill changes the way he interacts with most spells based on the manipulation of death or the dead. He can deal with ones that would normally far surpass his Magic Resistance, and, rather than cancel them out, absorb them harmlessly. The difference likely won't be evident right away from the outside, but absorbing enough spells in this way might eventually lead to an increase to his Parameters.

This Skill has a significant downside in that Rider's mental state will deteriorate more and more with each spell he absorbs. Rational thought will get gradually foggier for him, up to the point that it could in theory be drowned in a haze and made to disappear completely. However, as long as he is in a location that qualifies in some manner as a 'holy place', he'll instead only get the beneficial part of this Skill, without the detrimental effects on his mind.

    Range: —
    Target(s): —

A one-of-a-kind armour that qualifies as a Mystic Code and as a blessed artifact that relies on the Church's teachings as a Thaumaturgical Foundation. It was created by members of the Church wanting to ingratiate themselves to Otto the Great in a time when the Italian pope's leadership was dwindling and Otto was involving himself heavily in the administration of religious affairs. The armour was then gifted to Rider by Otto the Great in the times before Rider's rebellion, with the expectation that he'd be able to put it to excellent use. Rider continued to wear it into battle all throughout his life, whether for the sake of his liege or against him. Overuse of the peculiarities of the armour during the battle of Lechfeld eventually forced Rider to momentarily discard it. This finally exposed him to a fatal blow. After Rider's death, the armour merged with his legend and became his Noble Phantasm.

The armour is made of an extremely tough alloy. Rather than relying on a user's magic circuits, it itself incorporates imitation magic circuits whose usage has been predefined. With a one-line chant, the 'main' armour can be used to project particularly heat-resistant weaponry or armour—for instance, to protect Rider's current mount. Projections created through the main armour are not considered copies of an original, but 'children' of the main armour. Their power is based not on the history of any original or on their internal structure, but on the mystery of the main armour. They are as durable as the main armour is at its toughest.

Excessive or excessively intense usage of the chant can cause the imitation circuits in the main armour to overheat. In that case, the main armour can be discarded. Once that's done, the residual energy temporarily grants a mana-burst like ability that greatly raises Rider's mobility, and the residual heat can be 'stored'—for instance, in part of his mount's armour or in the tip of one of the created weapons. Heat stored this way can afterwards be amplified several times over, and released along with light in the form of a red sunbeam, by invoking the true name of this Noble Phantasm.

    Background

One of Otto the Great's most famous vassals, and a progenitor of the Imperial Salian dynasty. His nickname 'the Red' was likely given to him by contemporary historians to distinguish him from the preceding Count of Worms, Konrad Kurzbold, and had its basis in his red hair.

He was briefly the official regent of the Duchy of Franconia during a small succession crisis. He helped ensure the West Frankish king Louis IV would renounce to his claim on Lotharingia, and also uncovered a plot by Otto's brother Henry to assassinate him. As thanks for his loyalty, his liege bestowed upon him the rule of the Duchy of Lotharingia (more or less modern Lorraine). He was also made to wed his liege's daughter Liutgarde of Saxony, though it's reported that it was a fairly loveless marriage, possibly due to the age difference between the two of them, as she was much younger.

As the local nobles weren't fully willing to accept Konrad's rule of Lotharingia, he had to rely in part on his liege's authority to affirm himself there. Konrad also helped out Louis IV in battle against Hugh the Great, further consolidating Louis's renounce to Lotharingia in the process.

As of 951, Konrad was rather respected by Otto the Great. He was one of those called to Italy to take care of the war that had broken out between Otto and Berengar II due to the actions of Otto's son Liutprand. The campaign proved to be a great success, and even led to Otto, then king of Germany, being crowned as king of Italy as well. Konrad was left behind in Italy the following year with part of the army, appointed with the task to completely subdue Berengar II and what was left of his supporters.

However, Konrad eventually chose instead to open peace talks with Berengar, perhaps wanting to avoid further bloodshed and expense in the Italian campaign in a situation in which most of Germany's army was already fighting bigger, more worrying wars elsewhere. In Konrad and Berengar's plans, Berengar would've become once again king of Italy, but Italy itself would've become an allied client state to Germany. Konrad asked Otto to grant Berengar and himself an audience, and also assured Berengar that they would be heard out.

Otto did not want this. Konrad and Berengar were made to wait three days after their arrival at Magdeburg before Otto granted them an audience, all the more humiliating for Konrad given that up to then he'd been trusted enough that Otto had even named him his regent. Not only that, but their plan was altered, requiring that Berengar become his vassal, pay an exhorbitant tribute each year, and give up entirely the duchy of Friuli, which Otto reorganised into the March of Verona and then bestowed upon his brother Henry.

Not only had Konrad disappointed his liege: he had also been unable to mantain his promises to Berengar, that he would be able to rule Italy again with his territories intact. Konrad likely felt humiliated.

Otto's son Liudolf, worrying about a possible succession crisis, demanded he be allowed to become a co-ruler with his father and confirmed as a heir. Initially, Liudolf seemed to have succesfully earnt a treaty favorable to him; however, Otto soon voided it. Seeing how his wish had been rejected, Liudolf started an open rebellion, which Konrad, perhaps also due his earlier humiliation, joined.

Since Konrad was unpopular with the people of Lorraine due to his foreign birth, and now unable to leverage Otto's authority any longer, his subjects turned against him and drove him out. Otto removed all of Konrad's titles, bitterly lamenting his ingratitude.

Konrad didn't stay on Liudolf's side for the whole duration of the rebellion. At the time, the Magyars were seen as a significant threat to the sort of society that had been built in Central and Western Europe, almost like the Huns had been seen much before them. Taking advantage of the civil war, they'd started attacking, devastating Bavaria and Franconia. A few say Konrad and Liudolf allied with them immediately, but it might be more likely that their first response was actually to defend their territory with their soldiers. However, Liudolf, in his desperation, eventually quit defending against them through military might. Instead, Liudolf invited the Magyars in Worms. There, he held a feast for them and presented them with gifts of gold and silver, perhaps to placate them, perhaps intending to later seek an alliance with them against Otto.

Though that may not be the exact reason for Konrad's defection, it was certainly something that did come up in the same talks in which Konrad reconciled with Otto, whereas Liudolf's rebellion continued a while longer before he and his father managed to make peace.

Konrad wasn't given back his titles, only his estates. He was also granted military command against the Magyars. His sudden arrival and valour on the battlefield were reportedly key to the decisive victory in the battle of Lechfeld on the 10th of August 955.

This battle, which effectively put an end to the war and tremendously helped Otto's fame and legend, was also the battle in which Konrad would lose his life.

Some report that, burnt out by his exertion on the field of battle and the boiling heat that reigned that day, he died when, as he momentarily loosened part of his armour to better breathe, his throat was instantly pierced by an arrow. Some Hungarian sources, however, report that he survived, and only died in the immediate aftermath of the battle. According to these sources, Konrad and his forces had taken three important Magyar chieftains as prisoners, and were going to execute them, but one of them, Lehel, asked to be allowed to blow into his horn one last time. Lehel then instead used his horn to hit the head of his captor hard enough to kill him.

According to others who tell a similar tale, though, the one struck by Lehel was the Duke of Bavaria Henry, Otto's brother, who is recorded as having died from illness soon after the battle. The most popular version actually says that the Emperor himself had been fatally struck by Lehel's horn, but, as it's very well documented that Otto kept on reigning for many years after Lechfeld, that doesn't match up.

Thietmar of Merseburg reports that Konrad's corpse was stolen after his death and hidden in Zwenkau by some unknown parties, who were eventually found out and executed by Otto. Finally, Konrad's corpse was placed in a sarcophagus in the cathedral of Worms.

    Personality

Likes: Reasoned arguments, giving it all in battle, showing respect to one's opponents (outside of very specific circumstances)
Dislikes: Continuing a battle after it's won, greed, appealing to an enemy's temptations to manipulate them, exceedingly happy couples (will not admit this last one)
    Talent: Timing in battle

Rider prefers to solve problems with logical confrontations, and isn't the type to willingly draw out a battle after he considers it won. That said, once he's taken to the battlefield, he's learnt to give it his all, and expects the same of his opponents. Moreover, he has very little interest in gold, silver, and other manners of luxury, and is more likely to remain uninpressed, if not outright annoyed, when presented with them. He also tends to not think highly of those who prioritise such things over spreading good in the world, and even less of those who try to exploit these temptations for selfish reasons.

Rider also tends to get more awkward than the average person when couples get lovey-dovey with one another, though he will deny this in every way possible. It's bad enough that he can't even experience fiction including happy romance without looking miserable.

All in all, though he's viewed by many as a great knight, a honourable commander, and a good man in general, there are also many to whom he's nothing but a stick in the mud.

And here, after about a couple years and a half, is a revamped version of my Rider Konrad der Rote! Here's his old sheet for comparison: hopefully this shows some improvement. The overhaul has been somewhat major in terms of Skills and especially Noble Phantasm, and generally minor in terms of the other sections. Will this version be the final one? I have no idea, but hey, even if it's somewhat different from how I've been making sheets lately, I hope you enjoyed it!

    Personal Skills:

Sheikh's Disengagement B-: al-Hajjaj notably used disengagement in many of his fights, granting him this skill permitting him to disengage from a fight and recover from the damage. However, due to his own statements, he cannot withdraw from more than one fight with the same person, as he believed "A shiekh can leave merely once."

If berserker views something as "absolutely insignificant", its power against him will weaken. However, naturally if he views it as significant the power will return to normal.

Charisma of Pacification B-: Berserker's pacification of his citizens and soldiers through brutal penalizations, up to and including execution. Lore: Abu Muhammad al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf ibn al-Hakam ibn Abi Aqil al-Thaqafi, more commonly known as al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf, was an Umayyad governor who served the caliphate, and was one of the most notable of them. He controlled the region surrounding Medina. He was noted or his military prowess and currency updating.

Personality: A serious, stern person deeply loyal to whoever he selects as his "Caliph". However, he has a tendency to follow his own methods of dealing with problems such as rebellion and battle, which usually doesn't take into account other people. His wish for the Holy Grail would be for the Ummayads to never fall.

    Relationships:

Hassan of the Serenity: "You must always be willing to sacrifice for the Caliph."

Ogier: I like his dippy personality, he feels like a fun character to have in a Grail War while convincingly tragic when his past is revealed. His Skills are mostly canon ones as typical for you but Bergentruckung definitely adds some nice flavor. Reminds me of Nezuko sleeping to recharge health from Demon Slayer, with shades of Zenitsu's fighting while asleep. NP is a fairly standard "summon a familiar" deal but decently fleshed out. The imagery of Ogier just hanging up on Archangel Michael like a teenager on the phone with his dad is definitely an amusing one.

Let’s go make a Player, shall we?

    Once there was a soldier.

He was not a soldier by choice or by trade, merely by fate. He had gone to fight for his country. For justice. For glory. He had found none.

This is a great truth of war, that it is nothing like the songs. In war, you will not find camaraderie or love of one’s country. In war, you will find nothing but desperation and the stinking selfish desire to not be killed by the enemy.

So, the army was not what he had thought it was going to be, but if you’ll pardon the expression, he soldiered on. In the cold and the hunger and disease, he continued. He even managed to survive a few battles, shocking as it may be. He grew hard and even allowed himself to entertain the ridiculous hope that he would be coming home alive. Until one day.

The fog was hard and in the cold, he could barely see his own comrades, let alone the enemy. On that day, almost all of his friends died in a rush of red light, screaming, and gunshot. Hell was truly empty, and all the demons were on that battlefield. So, he ran.

He ran and he ran and he ran in that cold fog. He knew he was deserting, he didn't care. Deserting was uncertain death and war was certain death. He thought he had survived. Once again, despite everything he had seen, he actually still held on to that ridiculous hope. Until he saw Death and he knew.

Death was tall, and black, and spoke like a sound of rushing wind in forgotten and desecrated graveyards. Everytime it spoke, one felt the dust creep into them and wither away. It reached out a terrible, skeletal, inevitable hand towards the soldier, taking that which was its by right. And then the soldier even surprised himself.

"No. If you want my soul, you’ll have to play me for it.”

And from his pack, the soldier withdrew an old chess set. It was the only memento he had from his time before the war. All else had been lost. He had often been sorely tempted to sell the chess set for money to buy women or alcohol. Anything to take his mind off the fear.

Death withdrew its hand and the soldier established the board. For a moment, he was confused, as Death just seemed to sit there, doing nothing. Had it denied his desperate offer for a game? And then he understood.

Death cannot create. It only destroys. Therefore it cannot make the first move. It cannot establish a board. It can only dismantle the strategies of an enemy. He reached out, and touched his queen’s side pawn, moving it forward two spaces. Death responded in kind.

This was, without a doubt, the hardest game he had ever played in his life. Death played mechanically. Like a wall. Without hesitation. Without doubt or thought or mistakes. Against a human, desperate player, how could he compete? He blundered a knight early in and almost forfeited then and there. But he continued. In the dusty and horrible fog, he continued.

It is understandable that when the board ended in him checkmating Death using a clever stratagem involving two bishops, he counted it among one of the miracles of Christ. He laughed and laughed and prayed to all that was holy in the world. To all the good in the world. Death, for its part, was not a sore loser. It merely swept up the pieces and left into the fog, off to claim other victims. It would have no shortage of them, after the battle. What mattered if one got away? After all…

It would be back to take its due one day. Always.

But enough of dusty fairy tales. Within the summoning circle came a servant. A slim young man who in one hand cradled a chess set. He stopped, paused, and addressed his summoner.

"Pleased to meet you master. You can call me Hans, as no better name presents itself. I really hope we survive this.”

    The game with death.

A classic folktale that has permeated many traditions and cultures. What is it that is so enthralling about it? Is it the fact that we as a species are so obsessed with the Great Cessation that a chance, however minute, to escape it completely enthralls us? Or is it a hymn to our own determination as a people to fight even the most objective truth of the world?

Either way, the folktale exists of the nameless soldier who defeated Death in a game. However, the actual name of this individual has been lost to time. Therefore, Player is merely an amalgame of those who could fit the Legend. Namely, those who died upon a battlefield and had an affinity for chess, prioritizing those of German descent.

He, himself, doesn’t think it matters who he really is though.

Player’s opponent would be Death in this case, an entity for whom the concept of fun, games, and rivals are completely foreign. This would usually be taken to mean that the skill would be of an unusually low rank or even sealed. However, instead, his Spirit is Clashing for a simple reason. In this game, he cannot afford to lose.

    Board Establishment C
The second class skill of the Player class, describing the specific arena within which they play. Unlike a Caster, who seeks to create a territory for themselves to dominate an opponent, the Player instead creates an equal ground in which home field advantages don’t matter as much. At this rank, he can replicate a minor contest hall, something like the board on which they battle.

    Personal Skills

The One Who Touched The Other Side C
Even if he did manage to get his soul back, Hans did touch the still, empty realm of Death. Although he escaped, he carries a taint of this darkness back with him, infusing his attacks with the power of decay and rot, strengthening them and withering those weak. He can control this however, and tries not to use it to harm allies. Whether or not gaining this skill is an accident, or a parting blow from the spiteful Death is unclear.

    Determination of Steel A

There is little to say here. Player is someone who died and by their sheer grit and determination, clawed their way back to living. They defeated a practically unbeatable player, comparable to the Artificial Intelligences of modern times, through will power alone. He can ignore almost all setbacks in battle, so focused is he upon the great game.

It All Comes Down to a Game C

An odd skill. Unlike a similar ability of Bobby Fischer, manifesting as the game of chess upon reality, this does not in fact summon any of the pieces of the board. Instead, it merely creates a set of 「chess-like」properties to the fight. In effect, it is an equalling of the playing field, allowing him to transfer his skills in chess to survivability and battle those for whom it should be impossible, such as the Reaper himself.

You Learn A Lot In the Army C

The concept of “soldier” is one that Hans, although he dislikes, is part of his legend. He therefore gains most of the common skills of a soldier, such as marksmans, swordsmanship, a certain understanding of tactics, and the ability to march for days. It also comes with an almost inconceivable level of cynicism.

    Noble Phantasm

    Cheating Death
    Den Sensenmann Schachmatt Setzen
    A Game With Mortality

    Rank: C+
    Type: Anti-Unit (self)

The simplest and most basic manifestation of Han’s Legend. The game with Death. That fateful day. This phantasm is extremely basic in what it is: it is a chance to survive. A tightening of providence around Player that makes it much more likely for him to live out the fight, denoting him as one who already has defeated death and came back.

Even if this first protection fails Player, he will still gain a second chance to come back from almost total death if he manages to beat Death once again. If he succeeds in this, an almost inconceivable feat, he will be designated as a “master” against Mortality. His “The One Who Touched The Other Side” skill will be increased to the rank of A+ and he will return to life totally rejuvenated.

Despite this, he is unwilling to tempt fate. He risked his life on a miracle. He’s not going to be stupid enough to believe that fortune will smile upon him twice. The army breeds out most faith in a benevolent God in you.

"It might be useful, but we’ve still got to be careful. That guy was one of the hardest players I’ve ever tried to queen’s gambit ever."

    Personality
As Hans is an amalgamated spirit, his personality is therefore more generic than most should be. What is left, when you look at his essential features, is a nervous, polite, yet determined young man. One who died in a rat-hole of a battlefield in a pointless war, and chooses to keep fighting. No matter what happens, Player knows he wants to live.

His relationship with chess is more complicated. He did not play against Death for fun. He played because he had a white-knuckled grasp on life and the most basic of desires: “I don’t want to die.” Because of this, he finds he cannot truly enjoy the game. It’s not for the will of a game. It’s for survival. However, as time goes on and he spends more time with his master, you’ll see Player developing more quirks and opening more up to his summoner. Learning to reclaim his previous love for the game of Chess. Maybe, he’ll even offer to play a game with them.

    Wish
"My wish? That’s an odd question. I’m already so lucky, that it feels kind of selfish to wish for anything for myself. Hmm. If I had to wish for something, I’d say… I want my friends to survive as well. Even one person… I think that’d be something special."

    Craft Essence
    Memento Mori

If you think about it, I didn’t really accomplish much. I mean, I died anyway, which is how I was in the Throne.

All of my friends were shot down.

    My parents died centuries ago.

My Legend is so rotted that I don’t even have a true name.

My home can’t even be found on a map.

So…I guess that bastard in the fog did win in the end, if you think about it. We’re all gonna die in a nuclear war or a Beast attack anyway. It's a depressing thought. Y’know? But there’s one thing that comforts me when I go down this rabbit hole.

It’s not whether you win or lose…

It’s how you play the game.

    Author's Notes

Huh, so this guy was fun to make. I’m glad to have expanded upon the Player class. Thanks sutaa!

    "Hans": This is pretty interesting!
I kept on thinking of an April Fools scenario though, where "Hans" challenges First Hassan to a game of chess.

Thanks! And if he did meet First Hassan, I have absolutely zero idea how that goes down.
