    Writer and Chert

    Writer

    Chert

Hey, my Master, Servant Rider is here. And this is my horse

Bastard! I am not a horse, I am the spirit of evil, sowing troubles and hardships on the sinful earth, luring the daughters of Eve and the sons of Adam into the web of sin...

Tsyts, horse! Or then I will baptize you!

    Class: Rider
    True Name: Nikolai Gogol
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Place of Origin: Ukraine
    Armament: none

    STRENGE — C/B
    ENDURANCE — C/A
    AGILITY — C/A
    MANA — B/A
    LUCK — B/D
    NP — B

    Class skills:

    Riding(A-)

The skill of the Saber and Rider classes. Rider has enough rank to be able to ride his chert. Of the minuses - he can only ride on the chert

    Magic Resistance(B)

Provides protection from magical effects. Unlike the resistance effect, which simply rejects magical energy, this ability completely cancels spells. Rider has been studying magic on the territory of Ukraine for a long time, which gave him a very high skill. Also, thanks to his, ahem, mount, Rider is also good at countering lesser demon magic.

    Personal skills:

    Revisor

Based on Rider’s satirical comedy of the same name, a skill that allows Rider to impersonate a more formidable person than he is. As long as the opponent believes this, Rider's parameters in battle begin to increase. This skill doesn’t work against Discernment of the Poor.

It seems, sir, that unpleasant news awaits you ...

Your trick won't work here, we're both head over heels in...

Tsyts! (whispers) If you don't interfere, it will work

    Gift of Viy(B)

A skill that isn’t possessed by Rider himself, but by his, ahem, mount (I, angel fuck you, personality!). This skill can be classified as the Mystic Eyes of Dead Souls, which is related to a famous work by Rider.

Few people know that the phrase Dead Souls is an oxymoron. According to Christian beliefs, the soul is immortal, unlike the body. With his eyes, chert can see the sins of people. It should be remembered that the chert does not see shortcomings, but those actions that make people feel guilty. After the sin or sins of the target are found, chert can begin the process of killing the soul. The process is long, but if chert can complete it, then from that moment the target will lose the feeling of guilt before his sins. Moreover, nothing will remain of the personality of the target, except for this very sin. A soldier who fled cowardly once will never be filled with courage. He who commits murder and blames himself for it will kill easily.

This is a reward from Viy himself - the evil eye is called. I will look into the heart of a person - I will kill all the good in it. And this jester still refuses to see me as a person.

    Discernment of the Satiric(B)

Composite skill from Discernment of the Poor and Satirization. The rider is able to decipher the parameters and personality of the opponent, in order to then properly ridicule all this by giving the enemy a decrease in characteristics.

Laughter through tears ... There is no other way to write. You sometimes look at an official who is mired in vices - you want to cry because your country suffers because of people like him. But when, because of his character, he gets into a stupid situation, where he exposes himself to ridicule, tears roll in a hail, and laughter can no longer be stopped.

    Familiars(Devilry)

Rider has the ability to make contracts with beses, evil spirits from Slavic folklore. Unlike cherts, beses are weaker, dumber and have a dirty disposition. Rider uses them to sabotage enemies as beses offensive potential isn't that great.

No, no, what are you, I can’t summon Viy ... the last time we saw each other, I barely broke away from him. If not for my horse, my soul would be lost

And if it wasn't for this writer, I would have been promoted a long time ago. I should have thrown you off when we flew over Dikanka.

Tsyts! Haven't received a cross in the face for a long time?

    Noble Phantasm:

    Черт
    Enemy of the human race
    B

An evil spirit from Slavic folklore bound by a single contract with Rider, which he greatly regrets.

Chert looks like a creature covered with black hair. He has short horns, a pig nose, a long tail with a tassel, claws and hooves on his hind legs. He can change his size to the extent that he can hide under Rider’s hat, change his appearance, including a person - in this appearance he takes the name Ivan Khlestakov.

Chert can also fly, which Rider brazenly takes advantage of. The evil spirit can also take the form of a black horse, but according to Rider, this is not so comical. Chert also owns magic, including a very strong one, but Rider deliberately suppresses his power. The trait's abilities include the ability to influence the human mind, the creation of illusions, pyrokinesis, telekinesis, and invisibility.

    Страшная месть
    Dead accusers
    B

All of Rider's skills are aimed at weakening the opponent and turning him into a villain in order to activate this NP.

When activated, the ground beneath the enemy's feet will open up and engulf them, sending the enemy to the Underworld. There, the enemy will face hordes of the dead, blaming the failed for their death. The hordes of the dead are endless, they seek to bite the enemy. The only way to get rid of them is to admit your guilt to the non-living. Therefore, Rider must turn the enemy into a villain in order to defeat him.

    Description:

Likes: Satire, anything tasty, mocking the chert
Dislikes: His writing failures, Viy, funeral alive

Rider’s True name is Nikolai Gogol, Russian-Ukrainian prose writer, playwright, critic, publicist, recognized as one of the classics of Russian literature. He is the author of the play The Inspector General, St. Petersburg Tales, the story Overcoat, the poem Dead Souls (he does not like to talk about it), but his cycles of stories Mirgorod and Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka are best known.

What was hidden from the masses of people is that Gogol is the author of a competent textbook on Slavic demonology, which is still used by the Association of Magicians. Gogol was a magician during his lifetime, it was thanks to him that the Romanov family was able to conclude a contract with Viy.

During his stay in Ukraine, Gogol was able to conclude a contract with the chert, who has long regretted it. In fact, most of Gogol's works describe real stories that happened to him or the chert, although they are somewhat changed.

The relationship between Nikolai and the chert is very ... tense. The chert wants to finally get rid of Gogol and get his soul. Gogol himself does not feel amiable feelings for the evil spirit either.

Gogol himself is, at first glance, a jester. He jokes endlessly, always smiling, not averse to singing some song he remembers. But under all this facade hides a sad man with an inferiority complex. Ryder clearly sees both his own shortcomings and those of others, which sometimes makes it difficult for him to get along with people. But Gogol would rather eat his hat than allow himself to go out into society without a smile.

I'm glad you liked it. By the way, in Fate/GO wrote under which Romanov an agreement was concluded with Viy?

    Avenger - Pier Paolo Pasolini

    Avenger of Trilogies

(by ikasumi. Original pixiv link now inactive)

“As Avenger, the ‘revenge’ I seek is against the whole modern world and the system by which it runs. It can’t even be called just a revenge at that point, more a revolution.”
    True Name: Pier Paolo Pasolini
Alt. Classes: Gatekeeper (Salo itself is more than a trial), Caster, Saver, Foreigner
    Source: History
    Region: Italy
Catalyst: Any notes on future Trilogy of Death instalments
    Armament: Camera, film projectors

Character: “I’ve chronicled the highest and lowest humanity as ever reached, I’ve even been that highest and lowest myself. I doubt anything in this War could surprise me.”

One of Italy’s most… ‘distinctive’ filmmakers (though film was far from his only medium), with no less a fraught and turbulent personal life.

Pasolini was best known for two thematic film trilogies, or rather one trilogy and one trilogy that could have been. The Trilogy of Life were adaptations of tales of tales, Boccaccio’s Decameron, Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, and Scheherazade’s 1001 Nights, heavily repurposed and made in line with his secular Communist worldview, made to be a celebration of the wonders of humanity on an atheist level, despite or even as opposed to the very much religious nature of their sources.

As an ardent Communist who always acted against consumer society and cultural imperialism, Pasolini could only be disgusted when the body positivity of his Trilogy of Life became co-opted and commodified by the subsequent wave of Italian exploitation films. As a reaction, he planned a filmic ‘Trilogy of Death’ designed to showcase humanity at its absolute worst, but only one film of three would ever be made, but that one film arguably more than fulfilled its goal.

Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom, was an adaptation of the Marquis de Sade book, but retold in a fascist context with a setting change to the last days of Mussolini (the two ideas were originally separate). But it’s one thing to read about shocking acts of sexual violence and violent sex, it’s another entirely to see them on film, even if Pasolini left much of the worst acts to narration). Just as Plan 9 become the immediate example of the ‘worst movie ever made’, so too did Salo become the immediate example of the ‘most disgusting movie ever made’ (if not without debate on that).

The reason however that Salo become the only film of the ‘Trilogy’ of Death (the next in the trilogy, curiously, was said to be about Gilles de Rais) was that Pasolini was then murdered the same year as its release, a murder which to this day has gone unsolved. This would’ve been no quick death either, being repeatedly hit with a blunt object till his bones broke and run over more than once with gasoline burns to show for it.

While many of Pasolini’s works, films, books, editorials, may’ve been widely hated, they were still never without acclaim, winning multiple international awards. Given his existing fears about American world homogeneity, he has developed an immediate suspicion of the internet upon being summoned in modern times, already critical about television’s ability to inflict the same thing. If you accuse most of his work of being adaptations, he’d say the same could easily be said about Shakespeare, and that originality isn’t a product of any one human, but of humans as a collective.

He finds the Grail War inherently ridiculous, especially as he believes in the Heroism of humanity, not of any great individual. Still, he does feel it oddly appropriate that he’s been summoned in one, given the destructiveness of the War would naturally display the ‘great exemplars of humanity’ at their worst and most violent, familiar territory for a director like him.

    Attribute: Human
    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Likes: Taboo subjects, regional languages, male romance
Dislikes: Americanisation, capitalism, fascism, the ‘schlock’ he’s been grouped in with
    Relationships:

    • Franziska Kafka: “Oh I’m already long convinced about how stifling the modern world is, I just hope you’re not like certain other self-proclaimed socialists I’ve known.”
    • Chaplin: “You remind me why I never got involved with the American film industry in the first place, you think you’re the only one it chewed up and spat out?”
    • Ozma: “Interesting, some of your policies, such as on wealth and gender, sound quite agreeable. Pity they’re being carried out by a monarchy.”
    • Cacareco: “Given Italy’s politicians, I wouldn’t be shocked in the slightest if our peoples elected a rhino.”
    • Dorothy Gale: “The making of your movie could easily make for an exploitation film itself. No wonder you’ve lost your childhood innocence.”
    • Ed Wood: “Hah, your films exemplify what American culture is at its core, without any pretence or artifice to hide behind."
    • Casati: “Tell me, how do you look back on your dalliances with your Futurist friends, knowing what the world does now?”
    • Colette: “‘Jewish friends’? Oh please, as if I haven’t heard that excuse. To think I might’ve quite liked The Pure and the Impure otherwise.”
    • Vlad Tepes: “I’ve been one to combine ideas myself, but a headless rider with a mass impaler? We could be onto something.”

Master: Someone with very thick skin considering the content of his works, and nobody prone to start in-fighting (if he doesn’t do that himself). Due to a… certain incident, he’s best kept away from any male Master under the age of majority.
Natural Enemy: Any cultural hegemony, the CIA and Catholic Church too for good measure. Also, notoriously doesn’t get along with his own Communist comrades
Wish: For no single culture to be the dominant world culture at the expense of others.
Keywords: Trilogy, Life and Death, Salo
    Rarity: 1/5

    • Agility: ***** D
    • Magic: ***** C
    • Luck: ***** E
    • Noble Phantasm: ***** B

    Class Skills

    Avenger

Capacity to generate resentment in oneself and others, allowing for Mana recovery while attacking and being attacked.

    • Rank B: Avenger’s art often faced backlash, revilement, and legal issues, which caused plenty of resentment on his part. But on a grander scale, he had nothing but resentment for modern consumer society, the people who would’ve been his fellow allies, and even his own art himself, lamenting how people failed or refused to grasp their intent.

    Oblivion Correction

Ability of an Avenger to never forget and never forgive. Critical hits are strengthened.

    • Rank C: The creation of Salo has left humanity’s sins entrenched and unremovable from his psyche. It’s a movie viewers find impossible to forget, to put it gently, and that goes double for its creator. Enables critical mental strikes against any sort of sinner identified by Avenger’s subject matter.

    Self-Replenishment

Automatically recovers mana while one’s revenge remains unfulfilled.

    • Rank D: Avenger’s unsolved murder leaves him naturally restless and seeking answers, but even its resolution would not dilute the scorn he has for modern society.

    Personal Skills

    All Kinds of Talents

Displaying of talent in multiple fields.

    • Rank D: Avenger’s talents, while varied, were mainly in the arts, with him being a film director, novelist, poet, playwright, painter, journalist, linguist, actor, editor, essayist, and activist.

    Human Observation (Apex & Nadir)

An extreme version of this Skill, the ability to observe and understand humanity’s highest highs and lowest lows.

    • Rank A: Just as the Trilogy of Life was an exaltation and celebration of humanity, so to was the Trilogy of Death supposed to showcase humanity at its worst. Avenger’s authorial eye can quickly identify a subject’s sins and virtues, though he does have his own definition of what ‘sins’ and ‘virtues’ even are.

    Rebellious Spirit

A restlessness that brings about a defiance of leadership, yet also an inability to truly lead.

    • Rank A: With Avenger’s commitment to defying cultural hegemony, cancels out Charisma on the level of a world power, especially religious authority given his hatred of the Church.

    Secular Sacraments

Ability to use relics and other objects like Holy Sacraments, despite said objects having no ties to any Church or God.

    • Rank C: The idea of finding the ‘sacred in the secular’ and vice versa was a crucial aspect, possibly the entire purpose, of his ‘Trilogy of Life’ films, as well as his acclaimed The Gospel According to St. Matthew. However, his subsequent disillusionment with those films’ legacy and being summoned as an Avenger, a class not suited to finding the divinity in everyday life, makes this Skill weaker than it could be. Can somewhat imbue ordinary objects with ‘divine’ power, though the Skill seems most effective on imbuing other living beings.

    Noble Phantasms

    Trilogia della Vita
All that is Sacred within Humanity

    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-Army, or rather ‘Anti-Audience’

A Noble Phantasm that is a collection of collection of tales, though one heavily altered to fit its compiler’s vision, and all themed around a central concept. The Trilogy of Life is the three films that form Avenger’s most profound celebration of the wonders of humanity, a vision that is strictly secular vision yet feels no less than holy.

However, what should be an all-affirming Phantasm has become altered, not only by Avenger being summoned in a class that doesn’t otherwise suit it, but by his own subsequent loss of faith in the ideals these masterworks represented, which he only saw become corrupted.

This Phantasm instead now crystalises an unreachable perfection that humanity could have been able to attain, but now cannot. With Avenger able to project the three films at once onto any flat surface, any viewer will only experience the utter mental desolation that comes from knowing such perfection will never be possible, a standard humanity will now never be able to realise.

    ‘Trilogia’ della Morte
All that is Soulless within Humanity

    Rank: C (B on ‘completion’)
    Type: Anti-Audience

What part of this Noble Phantasm is intact consists of but one film, Salo, that alone acts as an encapsulation of the worst of human atrocity. A film combining what has been called the world’s most reprehensible story, The 120 Days of Sodom, with the world’s most brutal war born from its most dangerous ideology, fascism.

Exposure to this film is exposure to humanity at its worst and most unforgivable, yet it is only a third of what this Phantasm can be. Through his Human Observation Skill, Avenger can finally set about his goal of completing his Death Trilogy, the violence and destruction of the Grail War given him more than enough material to work with. Should he finally complete it, the result would be a masterwork that would leave no viewer left with any faith in humanity.

Whereas Avenger’s vision for the second in the trilogy has been set, that of a serial child killer or killer who targets anyone else most vulnerable, the theoretical third film is still up to him to decided, provided that it is equally as if not more dispiriting than the first two films.

A/N: While he's a modern Servant (died 1975) who I've given two Noble Phantams, my honest response is I couldn't care less. Also, if you watched Yu Yu Hakusho I guess it's obvious I took inspiration from Chapter Black for Trilogia della Morte

    Servant: Lancer

    True Name: Karl von Luxemburg

    Aliases: Apocalypse Emperor

    Alignment: Lawful-Good

Place of Origin: Bohemia, Holy Roman Empire

    STR: C
    CON: B
    AGI: B
    MGI: B
    LCK: A+

    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance: A
A resistance to mystery brought by holy artifacts Lancer possessed in life. Cancels spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by greater magecraft and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

    Personal Skills:

Emperor of The Last Days: EX
In the early medieval ages, a certain prophecy took root in the minds of monarchs across Christendom. A prophecy of an Emperor that will rise at the dawn of apocalypse and unite all Roman kings behind him. At the darkest hour of the world, the Emperor will lead the battle against the Antichrist and his servants. Facing the Beast by himself and ultimately losing. His defeat would be vital for the survival of humanity, for it will stall the Antichrist until the time of the second coming.

Thousand years past the fall of the Roman Empire, Lancer took the throne of the Holy Roman Emperor. The black death that Plagued europe, the constant Wars between the christian kingdoms, the great Famine at the time of his birth, and the Death that accompanied them all. The signs were clear in Lancers mind, he was that Emperor who will stand against the end of the world. Every moment of his long life he prepared himself and the Empire. And yet, the prophesied apocalypse did not come. In the end, was he just a gullible fool who believed in the empty words?

A skill that has no visible, or any effects at all. “Just a fancy set of words.” by Lancers own admission.

    Relic Identification: C
An avid collector of the holy relics in life, Lancer has a high chance of discerning the true name of Noble Phantasm that has a christian origin by witnessing it only once. As the apocalypse was drawing closer, Karl was preparing for it as best as he could. Most notably, collecting various holy artifacts of the church. Lance of Longinus, Holy Nails, and bodily relics of Christ were his most valuable possessions. Whether they were legitimate or not, is often disputed.

    Universitas Carolina: A
Founded in 1348 with the blessing of Pope Clement VI, modeled after universities in France and Bologna, Charles University was the place in which Lancer gathered all the intelligentsia he could. Originally having only four faculties (medicine, theology, law, liberal arts) when Lancer first established it, the university shortly became the greatest across all central and east Europe. Karl, however, did not know that it would become the foundation for the Hussites and soon to follow Hussite wars that tore Bohemia apart. Ironically, turning his heritage against his country and beliefs. In the form of a skill, Lancer can call upon a wide array of knowledge contained in the university. The only restriction being only that it must have been taught at the academy in his name at one point in its existence. Because of this, Lancer possesses understanding in medicine, science, mathematics and physics beyond the modern times.

    Noble Phantasms
Bridge of The Past And Future
    Karluv Most

    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: D - A+
    Range: 1-100
    Maximum Number of Targets: 1
The jewel of Prague, the overpass connecting the old and the new, the legacy of Karl contained in the form of a spear. Karluv Most - or Charles Bridge as it is most commonly known - is the oldest stone bridge in Europe. Spanning with the length of five hundred meters over the Vltava River and with the width of nearly ten meters, it is the most important connection between Old Town and Prague Castle.

The construction of Charles Bridge started after the fall of its predecessor - Judith Bridge. It took forty five years for it to be complete. According to the legend, the first stone was laid by Karl himself at 5:31 AM on July 9th 1357. The numbers (1357 9/7 5:31) formed a palindrome - a sequence of numbers that reads the same backwards or forwards. Karl believed it would imbue a bridge with the strength to last millenniums.

The other noteworthy aspect of the bridge is the statue of thirty saints it carries. In the form of a Noble Phantasm, these statues transform into projectiles Lancer can fire from his spear. Each missile takes the form of a light orb that on contact explodes with the strength of a D rank Noble Phantasm. Lancer can load several projectiles at once which results in a stronger attack.

Five Statues Mode: Attack with force of a C rank phantasm.

Ten Statues Mode: Attack with force of a B rank phantasm.

Fifteen Statues Mode:Attack with force of an A rank phantasm

Thirty Statues Mode: Attack with force of an A+ rank phantasm.

Though Lancer is only limited to thirty shots, he can replenish them by consuming souls of creatures. In a sense, replacing old statues with new.

Additionally, Lancer can strengthen his Noble Phantasm by boosting it with Numerological mystery. For example, loading and firing five projectiles at 5:55 AM - which increases its power to A rank. Applying the number of shots fired with the name of a target, that if successful automatically pursues its prey. Three shots charged with six projectiles form a number of the beast, inflicting the target with wounds that can not be healed until the spear is destroyed. The most power this Noble Phantasm can produce is through use of a complex palindrome that contains a year-day-hour-minute-second and the number of the charge. The resulting attack reverses targets to their “beginning”, or in the most extreme cases reverses them to non-existence. Needless to say that palindrome forming moments are almost impossible to encounter in a normal grail war.

    Golden Seal of The Decree
    Chrysobullos Logos
I declare you a Roman King.

    Type: Support
    Rank: B
    Range: 1-10
    Maximum Number of Targets: 7
Golden Bulls or Chrysobulls were legal decrees issued by Byzantine - and more commonly - by Holy Roman Emperors. Originally the term applied to golden seals, but later came to define the entire decree. In short, Golden Bull is an obligation from an emperor his followers must obey. The most famous Golden Bull was issued by Karl himself. It defined the structure of the Holy Roman Empire for centuries. The Bull named seven prince-electors who were to choose the King. Secondly, making the title of a prince-elector hereditary to the states it holds. And finally, it granted privileges to prince-electors, elevating them among other kings.

The Golden Bull that gave the Holy Roman Empire its distinct election system, in the form of a Noble Phantasm mirrors its legend. Lancer can bestow the title of a prince-elector on any seven people. The titles imitate servant class containers, meaning these “princes” are pseudo-servants of sorts. The title-class distribution is as follows:

Arch-Marshall (Saber): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Sword
    Gladius Imperatoria
. The sword grants a high skill in swordsmanship and D rank Instinct skill.

Arch-Chamberlain (Caster): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Orb
    Globus Cruciger
. The orb grants the ability to create advanced bounded fields.

Arch-Cupbearer (Assassin): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Purse
    Sacculumb Bidem Sanctus Stephanus
. Grants minor Presence Concealment and an ability to force people to sleep.

Arch-Steward (Rider): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Crown
    Corona Imperiatoris.
Grants the ability to summon up to hundred Exercitus Imperatoris.

Arch-Chancellor of Burgundy (Lancer): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Lance
    Lancea Longini
. A spear with a fragment of Holy Lance. Grants minor healing and protection abilities.

Arch-Chancellor of Italy (Archer): Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Cross
    Vera Crucis
. A cross that is essentially a large cannon, with parts of True Cross in it. Grants minor Clairvoyance skill.

Arch-Chancellor of Germany (Berserker):Grants person Imperial Regalia -
    The Imperial Tooth
    Dens Sanctus Johannis
. Grants a minor rank in Jacob’s Limbs.

Created “Pseudo Servants” depend on Lancer providing them energy upkeep. Maintenance of all seven princes puts a great strain on Karl and his master. Their combined energy consumption rivaling top-tier heroic spirits. The chosen person will continue being a pseudo-servant until Lancer calls off his Noble Phantasm or dies. Once Lancer has elected all seven princes, he can begin the coronation ceremony. The seven electors must stand around kneeling Lancer and cite the coronation rites:

“Wilt thou temper thy manners from all evil and as far as thou art able, with God’s help, change them to all good?"

    I will.

“Wilt thou with God’s help keep sobriety?”

    I will.

“Wilt thou give thyself up to divine business, and remove thyself from lowly cares, as far as human frailty permits?”

    I will.

“Wilt thou keep humility and patience in thyself, and incline others to the same?”

    I will.

“Wilt thou be affable and merciful to the poor, to pilgrims, and to all the needy on account of the Lord’s name?”

    I will.

I who shall be Emperor, swear that I will uphold the Romans’ good customs, and uphold their charters without deceit or evil design. So help me God and these holy Gospels.

Once the ritual has been completed, the skill Emperor of The Last Days turns active. It is an Imperial Privilege skill unique to Lancer. As long as Lancer believes his cause to be righteous he can acquire a wide range of Skills for a short period, as well as power to identify alignment of any soul, which if happens to be evil, he gains improved attack and defense against them. Furthermore, his final Noble Phantasm becomes available to use.

Karlštejn is a bastion built and supervised by Lancer. The castle was specifically constructed with the coming end of the world in mind. Karl wanted it to be a stronghold from which he would directly fight the Beast and his armies, and so he placed all his holy relics inside of it. But as the story goes, the apocalypse never came. In the following centuries the Imperial Regalia were relocated, the castle lost its significance and fell in disrepair, later being reconstructed in the 19th century.

By collecting all Imperial regalia from pseudo servants Lancer can enact his Imperial Privilege on them. The manifesting stronghold is the original castle Karl has architectured. It would be better to say, it is not Lancer who summons the fortress, but the seven imperial artifacts he gathered. For Karlštejn was the heart treasury of the Empire, thus they shared a deep connection to one another.

A Noble Phantasm embodying the last stand of humanity in the face of doom. It is summoned in one place and can not be moved. Essentially, this fortress is an impenetrable structure to any creature it deems evil. The greatest strength of this phantasm is a dome of sacred aura constantly covering the castle. It can not be penetrated by any means until either Lancer or the Holy Cross situated on top of its highest tower is destroyed. However, saints or other holy beings can easily pass through it without complications. In addition, the bastion is packed with supplies to last a long siege and blessed weaponry for his allies to use.

Nevertheless a strong fortress phantasm, it has a hidden weakness. The fortress stands only as long as it has enemies to fight. If it is left long without any attention Karlštejn
    will crumble to dust.

    Lore:
Karl - named Václav at birth - was born into a royal family of a Bohemian king Johann von Luxemburg and his wife Eliška Přemyslovna. Karl did not get to see much of his parents, as his father was too busy engaging in conflicts with Czech nobility and his mother too busy ruling Czechs. At seven years of age he was sent to France to get a superior education. There he became friends with a future Pope Clement VI and fell in love with his soon to be wife Blanche.

Returning to Luxembourg Karl continued his education of statecraft and diplomacy under his uncle Baldwin of Luxembourg. He became fully conversant with courtly etiquette and knightly virtues, as well as adding German to his linguistic powers in Latin, French, Italian. In time he was called by his father to assist him in wars to defend Luxembourg. This added to young Karl’s experience in military tactics, swordsmanship and weapon wielding.
After many years, in 1333 Karl finally returned to Bohemia. Standing as a ruler in absence of his father, he was named Margrave of Moravia. His rule of Bohemia was remembered as brilliant for the time, earning support of his vassals and townspeople. In 1346 with the help of his friend Pope Clement and his father, Karl was elected an Emperor of The Holy Roman Empire.

His rule as a Roman Emperor became a golden age for the region of Czechia. Choosing Prague as his capital residence, making Czechia the main power base. From this period forward, Karl had a significant change of heart. Believed to be influenced by the death of his beloved wife and the incident at the tourney, where he was ousted as a nameless knight and sustained a grievous injury to the head. He thought of himself as the Emperor from the prophecy of the Last Days, which guided him a portion of his life.

Ruling for thirty years, Karl died at the age of 62. His significant legacies being various architectural projects, and the Golden Bull which became the Constitution of the Empire.

    Personality:
    Likes: Czechia, Blanche
    Dislikes: Committing sinful acts
    Talent: Learning things fast
    Natural Enemy: ???

Wherever he goes, Lancer never fails to give the impression of a perfect emperor. Always wearing a stoic mask, speaking no more than necessary. Preferring diplomacy over a combat of arms, being just in his judgment, protecting the weak and those who require protection. All his efforts went to uphold himself to these principles as best as he could.
Though he is a man of high piety, there is a certain streak of pragmatism present in him. If Lancer decides that his current course of actions will lead him to defeat, he won’t hesitate to act callously and ask for forgiveness later.

Much of his life Lancer spent pondering on prophecies and signs. He was convinced he was the Last Roman Emperor, and this same prophecy guided him to become the most perfect emperor. In his mind, every ruthless decision was done for the sake of humanity. And the sins of these actions always hang above his soul. When summoned as a servant, he will treat his master with respect as long as they proceed with good in mind. Lancer won’t tolerate any evil presence, and will immediately cut them down given the chance.

If his master asks if he still himself to be a supposed King of All Romans, he will try to detract the conversation by replying: “Master, do not hold faith on words alone.”, alluding that he still does in some capacity. Lancer has no wish for the grail, merely wanting to add it in his collection of holy relics.

This sublimates as an ability to nullify recordings and duplications, making every thing unique.

Military Band A: He created the United States Marching Band, making it an effective band. This enables him to bestow the status of a member of the band onto any of his allies, granting them proficiency with music and allowing them to manifest sousaphones or brass instruments which shoot music notes.

Marksman C: He was an impressive marksman in his own right, one of the alltime greatest trapshooters. This enables him to gain a lot more accuracy in his shots through whatever he uses, as well as decrease other's accuracy by predicting their ideal shot and avoiding them.

The sublimation of his most famous song, The Stars And Stripes Forever. This manifests as his noble phantasm, passively appearing to be a sousaphone, the instrument that he invented, which "shoots" loud and sharp music notes at enemies who he targets. When its true name is called, the instrument shoots a beam symbolizing the song itself, triggering an immense earthquake or fire immediately after, as it was known as the "Disaster March" for it was only played at disasters for a long time.

Lore: John Phillip Sousa (1854-1932) was an American composer from the Late Romantic Era known for his marches, of which the most notable include Semper Fidelis and the Stars and Stripes Forever. He lead many United States Marine bands. He was also a champion marksman in trapshooting.

Personality: A serious and stern individual. He loves marching bands and leading them, and music in general, so will tend to get along with most other composers. However, he doesn't tend to get along with evil figures or those who throw everything into chaos. His wish is to just continue his music.

    Relationships:

Carlo Gesualdo: "You're utterly mad, aren't you? Although I will borrow that choir."

Prokofiev: "A titanic wolf? Aren't you a composer too?"

    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance C: She held up against the magic wielders who she fought, notably at Honno-ji and thus gains an average rank of this skill.

    Personal Skills:

Golden Rule (Mind and Body) C: She was noted for her extreme beauty and intelligence, with Nobunaga describing her as having the "mind of a genius and the appearance of a goddess". This grants her an extreme beauty to the point of almost exerting a charm spell, as well as an unfading and brilliant mind.

Japanese Martial Arts A: Sublimates the knowledge of one who truly knows the styles of martial arts taught in Japan. Only at rank A can one be a master. She was extremely noted for her martial arts knowledge, tending to prefer jujitsu and swordsmanship as well as wielding her Nagitana as her primary technique, although she can also pick up spears or utilize other martial arts.

Espionage B: She was sent by her father to spy on Oda Nobunaga and possibly to assassinate him, although she failed in that. She was also able to successfully sneak away from Honno-ji under the guise of Lady Azuchi and then disappear into the night. This grants her an ability to shift her presence to that of a "generic beauty", as opposed to a Servant, which she tends to use to allow others to underestimate her before she destroys them.

    Moeru Hanabira
    Honnoji, The Burning Flower

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: B
    Range: 30 meters

The sublimation of her most famous deed, her battle in Honno-ji, fighting amid the flames and defeating enemy soldiers, surviving and escaping. When the true name is called, the fire of Honno-ji begins to fall around her as her spear ignites, using it carefully to burn the weak points and slow their movement, allowing them to easily be hit by her devastating blows.

Lore: Nohime, Lady No, otherwise known as Kicho (1535-1612?) was a famous warrior who was married to Oda Nobunaga, noted for her beauty and intelligence as well as her martial arts skills. After the Honno-ji incident, which she survived, she appeared as "Lady Azuchi", and quickly fled into the night, never to be seen again.

Personality: A fierce and cunning warrior. She loves training and practicing, and she hates those she regards as fools. This lead her to originally abhor Oda Nobunaga, who she saw as the "worst fool of all", although eventually, after her spying fell away, they began to form a friendship and trust. Her wish is to train in every martial art style.

    Relationships:

Oda Nobunaga: "Who are you? No, you're not Nobunaga. So tell me who are you?"

Yuenu: "Impressive swordsmanship. How exactly does your Yang Yin Unite work though?"

Fukuda Chiyo-ni: "Poetry qualifies you to be a Lancer? Interesting. But I do enjoy your poems."

Tsunade and Princess Tagoto: "I've heard so much about you. You were an inspiration."

Empress Wei: "Assassination through poisoned food? Interesting choice."

    Second Ascencion

“I must admit, Sir, I feel ill at ease with many of these Servants around. Many of them are excessively violent and threatening. Many of the Servants within the Berserker-class and some within my own make me feel… anxious, let’s say. I truly don’t know if I can be of much help to you with them by my side. I feel like I’m as much a target for them as the enemy is.”
    Third Ascencion

“Hm? Am I alright? Why… yes of course, Sir! I can fight on and on, if it is for the good of mankind, Sir, no need to worry. I was a soldier all my life, after all, to take me out the world would have to do quite a lot more than face me with a little bit of stress. Everything is quite alright.”

    《 ~~ ★ ~~ Class Skills ~~ ★ ~~ 》《 ~~ ★ ~~ Class Skills ~~ ★ ~~ 》
    Avenger D
A class skill of the Avenger class that gathers others' hatred directed at Avenger and turns this hatred into strength, generating Mana from it. Avenger himself often earnt the hatred of his enemies during the Great War and though he began as a celebrated and honourable knight of the sky, he experienced the change, when the troops on the ground stopped celebrating Aces and began hating them.

Though, the largest amount of hatred he would absorb later in life, hatred that this particular version of Avenger was never exposed to. As such, the rank of this skill is lowered slightly.

"I… This feeling I get. I can hardly describe it. It feels like that moment before an enemy opens fire. I know he’s spotted me, I know there’s little I can do. It’s like hot, burning wax, slowly dripping down onto your neck. I feel like this so often now. It’s miserable."
    Oblivion Correction B
Another of the chief skills of the Avenger class. It strengthens Avenger when he attacks from beyond another’s memory, the more people forget about him the stronger he becomes.

Avenger is the manifestation of the heroism and bravery of another Heroic Spirit who would become corrupted and lose his sanity later in life. The terrible deeds committed by his future self often end up overshadowing his great deeds during the Great War. Rarely is he presented in a positive light. Those that do remember his name often brand him as an evil maniac. Because Avenger’s true essence, the heroism of a later corrupted Heroic Spirit, is often forgotten and overshadowed, he has been granted a relatively high rank in this skill.

"As I understand, my life did not end well and so this aspect of myself got forgotten, I think. Honestly, I can’t make sense of it all. But… it… it’s one thing to know your life will end forgotten and another to know that, despite all your blood and tears, you end up not forgotten, but… remembered forever for your downfall. It’s… indescribably harrowing."
    Self-Replenishment (Sky) C
The last signature skill of the Avenger class that causes Avenger to automatically regenerate Mana at all times. Normally, Avenger would not have access to this skill however, perhaps due to the unorthodox method of his summoning, this skill was modified so that it would be possible for Avenger to manifest it.

Unlike most other Avengers, Avenger does not passively regain Mana, instead, he immediately gains a substantial Mana boost the second he begins flying that then eventually peters out into a slow passive regeneration. It seems to be completely impossible for Avenger to gain the benefits of this skill without actively taking flight.

"The sky feels wrong … That sounds like an odd thing to say, no? But, it does. It feels wrong, heavier and yet, lighter, at the same time. When I’m flying I can feel the sky almost lifting me further up, like… like if you met your lover again after months at the station and you lift her of the ground into your arms. But then, when I land, it’s like the inevitable day, when you have to drop your love back at the train station and watch her go. I’d never felt this before. Not like this, anyway."

    The Last Combat Ace
    Das Letzte Fliegerass
    A

A skill awarded exclusively to Avenger that sublimates almost his entire being and differentiates him from his Caster counterpart. Granted to him for his achievement of being the only notable German Ace to survive the first World War, only able to manifest as a skill because his legend had not been tainted by his future self’s actions.

Mechanically it encompasses a version of the Riding skill limited to planes exclusively and the Battle Continuation skill. Even when sustaining severe injuries, Avenger is able to push on and continue fighting. His riding skills are enough to make this skills rank as high as it is. Any vessel that can even remotely be conceived of as an aeroplane can be pushed to absurd feats by Avenger, to the point that even modern day fighter jets could seem underequipped. Interestingly, it seems that Avenger’s form of Battle Continuation is slightly altered to the point that it is incapable of triggering in response to mental attacks. If one such attack were to kill Avenger, he would fade away like any other Servant.

"I’m horrified by the prospect of losing everyone around me. I… this is like a dream, Master. To be really honest, I still think I will wake up any second now. My last memory, the rest of Jasta 11 and I has just come from a theatre and were going to go bar hopping. We’d just brought Lothar back to the hotel, because the idiot had forgotten his wallet. I’m standing outside talking and smoking with the rest. I close my eyes, breathe in, and the next time I open them, I stood in front of you."
    Instinct D++
Denotes a Servant's ability to determine the best course of action during combat. Avenger’s Instinct, normally, is classed as Rank D, however it can rapidly rise in rank when certain conditions are met. It increases in rank if he is in a plane, if his opponent is in a plane and if his opponent uses projectile weapons. The closer the scenario gets to what Avenger had to live through during World War I, the closer his Instinct becomes to clairvoyance.

Even though for most Servant’s this ability is some sort of sixth sense, a kind of supernatural intuition that could almost be described as magic. However, in Avenger’s case it could much more closely be compared to panic that, by some miracle, manages to heighten his awareness and senses to the point that he becomes hyper aware of enemy movement and attacks, allowing him to naturally emulate this otherwise unnatural sixth sense most other Servant’s possess.

"I’ve never handled stress all that well. Even in combat, I couldn’t ever quite steady my nerves as much as many of my comrades. But, well, it’s served me well so far."

"...knowing that my mind will break as far as it does is… Well, it certainly doesn’t help steady my nerves.
    "
    Surpassed only by One
    Nur von Einem übertroffen
    EX

A powerful passive curse that Avenger carries with him, unique to him as it is basically a crystallisation of his abilities at their absolute peak. In another form, this skill would likely manifest as a Noble Phantasm.

The curse impacts the rules of the world in a localised field around Avenger, adding one rule to the normal list of rules of the World. That rule being: “There is only one man who can surpass Ernst Udet”. If a Servant with a higher speed and agility than Avenger is near him, this skill will begin steadily increasing Avenger’s parameters until they just barely outclass those of the other Servant. The only exception to that is a Servant whose True Name is recognised as “Manfred von Richthofen”, who would be entirely immune to this effect.

"Somehow, I think I always knew I wouldn’t ever be able to keep up with Richthofen, you know? There was just something about him that told you he was leagues better than anyone else. But… somehow I’ll manage to outlive them all. I once heard that the worst thing about being the strongest soldier is that you have to watch everybody else die first. I never worried much about that. Just some philosophical nonsense, right? … Yeah, right."
    Pact with the Devil
    Teufelspakt
    C

Derived from an anecdote of Avenger’s life where he supposedly said that for someone to be a great pilot, they had to make a pact with the devil. Mechanically, this skill functions as a composite skill of Rampage and Mental Pollution.

Whenever Avenger is shot down out of his plane, this skill will immediately trigger, temporarily putting Avenger in a state comparable to Mad Enhancement, where his parameters are raised dramatically, but his mental faculties are reduced significantly as well. Once the effects of that Rampage wear off, Avenger is hit with a whiplash effect, causing him severe mental anguish and causing him to suffer a complete mental breakdown.

"This feeling is… strange, so very familiar yet completely strange to me. To think that this would be how I would feel constantly after a while is… scary. I don’t know how else to explain this feeling, Master. It’s incredibly and honestly scary."

    《 ~~ ★ ~~ Noble Phantasm ~~ ★ ~~ 》《 ~~ ★ ~~ Noble Phantasm ~~ ★ ~~ 》
    Ein Fliegerleben
    Forever falling shining star

    Anti-Unit - Anti-Army | B

A Noble Phantasm that manifested from Avenger’s future during the second World War, that would normally manifest as a powerful skill if he is summoned in another class, wherein he would be given a position of power within the German Air Force and continue to make ruinous decision after ruinous decision, taking major blame for the German Air Force’s general incompetency during the first years of the war, so much so that it was stated by an evaluating officer that “Everything turns to dust in Udet’s hands”.

The Noble Phantasm functions as a passive curse, placed specifically upon Avenger’s hands. Anyone and anything he touches will slowly have its Luck stat reduced until it becomes so low it is practically immeasurable. Avenger himself is exempt from this, either because the curse does not affect him or, more likely, because his Luck parameter is so low that the Noble Phantasm cannot lower it any further.

When the True Name of this Noble Phantasm is released, Avenger’s appearance changes to much more closely resemble how he would come to look shortly before his death. A portly, small, balding man in his mid-forties with empty and cold blue eyes, dressed in a World War II-era officer’s uniform with countless badges of honour.

During this time, not only is the rate at which the curse wears away other’s Luck parameters drastically increased, the range of the curse also increases from being limited to Avenger’s body to affecting anyone within a large radius around him, regardless of whether or not Avenger is even aware of them. Should someone come into contact with Avenger’s body, specifically his hands, during this time, their Luck stops gradually lowering and is instead immediately set to as low as conceivably possible.

The curse, regardless whether or not the True Name of the Noble Phantasm has been released or not, does not distinguish between friend and foe. Regardless of who it is, they will be affected in exactly the same way as everybody else. As such, Avenger desperately attempts not to ever touch anyone.

"It’s unbelievable to me that whatever I do in the future is so destructive that I would be given such a horrid ability. I don’t honestly know how to convey this feeling with words, but I'll try anyway. Have you, Master, ever had this feeling of existential dread knowing, at that moment, you have reached a high point of your life and that you will likely never experience something so significant or great ever again? Does that make sense? This feeling is constantly wretched in the back of my neck. It’s the most terrible thing."

    《 ~~ ★ ~~ Background ~~ ★ ~~ 》《 ~~ ★ ~~ Background ~~ ★ ~~ 》
Ernst Udet was a fighter pilot in the German Army Air Force during the First World War. After Manfred von Richthofen, he scored the highest number of confirmed kills among German fighter pilots. After the First World War, he was active in aerobatics and show flights. During the period of National Socialism, Udet was responsible for the technical equipment of the Luftwaffe in the Reichs Luftwaffe Ministry and from 1939, with the rank of Colonel-General, held the office of General Aircraft Master of the Wehrmacht.

Udet was an average student and volunteered at the beginning of the First World War. After a short period as a motorcycle detector in the 26th Reserve Division on the Western Front, he financed a pilot training at the flying school of Gustav Otto Flugmaschinenwerke in Munich. In April 1915, he acquired a civil aviation licence, which led to his being transferred to the Army Air Force. From June 1915 he served in the ground company of the Air Force Replacement Division Griesheim. In a two-seater, he flew reconnaissance flights over the Western Front until 1916.

After several risky flight manoeuvres and a crash, he suffered a nervous breakdown. In March 1916, he was transferred to the artillery pilot unit 206, stationed near Colmar in Alsace, which was equipped with Fokker E.III fighters.

After his third victory in the air on 24 December 1916, he was awarded the Iron Cross, 1st Class. On 22 January 1917, Udet was appointed lieutenant of the reserve. On 7 November 1917, he was given command of Jagdstaffel 37, which he led until March 1918. In March he was asked by Manfred von Richthofen to lead the fighter squadron 11. In April 1918, he was awarded the Order Pour le Mérite.

Udet is considered to be partly responsible for the misguided German air armament during the first years of the war, which suffered mainly from its enormous inefficiency and the fact that the political objectives and the actual course of the war were completely contrary. On 1 February 1939, Göring gave him the new position of General Aircraft Master. Udet was reporting to Erhard Milch, State Secretary of the Reich Aviation Ministry and Inspector General of the Luftwaffe. This expanded the competence of the Technical Office, now headed by Udet, which was now responsible not only for the entire aircraft development and production but also for procurement, refuelling and supply. If it was already a bad decision to let Udet head this office, it was all the more so since Udet had already struggled to fill the post. From then on, he had 26 departments with 4,000 officers, civil servants and engineers, who were responsible for everything, but were not responsible for anything themselves. The position of General Aircraft Master meant a further curtailment of competence for Erhard Milch, who resignedly stated: “In Udet’s hands everything turns to dust.”

On July 19, 1940, after being awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, he was promoted to Generaloberst. In the last years of his life, Udet consumed numerous stimulants and intoxicants such as tobacco, alcohol and pervitin in increasing excess. He drew numerous caricatures of his employers and himself with caustic mockery. Among other things, he caricatured himself as an airman chained to his desk in the Reich Ministry of Aviation.

After the failures in the Battle of Britain and the associated hostilities from Göring and several other Nazi figures, Udet shot himself on November 17, 1941, in his apartment in Berlin. On the end wall of his bed he wrote the accusation addressed to Göring: "Eiserner, you have left me!" "Eiserner" was Göring's nickname. According to his friend Ernst Heinkel, the "objective reasons" for Udet's decision were the failed blitzkrieg against the Soviet Union, in which the German Luftwaffe was largely exhausted in the Russian areas and its "backbone" was broken, as well as the "currents of American aircraft" who announced themselves.

Hitler arranged a state funeral. The suicide was kept secret. Nazi propaganda had the public informed via the synchronized press that he had died from a serious injury sustained while testing a new weapon.

    Just after Avenger's summoning:
“I… Where am I? How did I get here?”
“I see now… Caster, care to explain to the Master?”
“I would like not to. At least not in his presence. But I do not think that it matters. If I choose not to speak, you undoubtedly will speak or me, would you not Holmes?”
“I would much rather hear it from you than him, Caster.”
“...Fine… I assume you are all familiar that Adolf Hitler sent Goebbles and Himmler to find him the Holy Grail toward the tail end of World War II?”
    “World War TWO?!”
“Yes, two. Some great terrible evil must have decided that one great war was not enough bloodshed and so they sent the devil himself and named him Hitler, to cause another war, to make us both keep fighting. You would have had to live through the second one as well, had we not summoned you now.”
    “You were saying, Caster.”
“...Yes, Holmes. Most think that the search for the Holy Grail was a complete failure. It wasn’t. I still held a fair amount of power in Germany at the time. So, I sent a few men loyal to me to sabotage them. Once Himmler had pin-pointed the location of the Grail or at least a holy grail, I was informed, and immediately set out to find it before the two of them could. So I did. I got my hands on the grail and in an act of endless selfishness I wished not for the war to end. I wished to be free of my burdens. I wished that this version of myself would disappear and that, instead, I would only be remembered as the great pilot I used to be. The grail heeded my wish, to some small degree. None that I could understand at the time. I destroyed that grail. So that Hitler would not have it. Then I retreated back to Germany. Only recently did it occur to me, that I asked the Grail to change not myself, the person, but the memory of me. It created him. A version of myself free of the weight of later years.”

"Well, obviously, flying. I think, by now, with as many pilots here, you’ve come to expect that answer out of us, haven’t you? But for many of the people that fought as aces during my time, flying wasn’t just our job, or for combat, it was a way of life. That said, I always loved planes and the idea of flying, even as a child. Even now I enjoy building model planes. Having said that, I seem to have… lost the passion in my later years."

"I dislike a great many things. But, I suppose, the thing that springs to mind the most immediately, is something I actually benefited from greatly. This weird habit of people to idolise soldiers. I … I recognise the irony, hearing a Heroic Spirit say this, but I really do dislike it. We are, in our own ways, killers, even if for generally more well accepted reasons than convicted murderers. But, well, a friend of mine once said: ‘The murder of a man is still murder, even in wartime’."

    Wish for the Grail
"What would I wish for? I think, maybe, that my friends could live their lives just a bit longer than they did. I’m the only Ace that survived, a terrible thought, not only for having to see them all die, but also because that means that they all died young, before they could have families and find some semblance of happiness beyond the fleeting joys of alcohol, cigarettes and bad jokes told in a bar at impossible times in the night."

I feel as though I have failed them, or, that I will fail them inevitably, like it’s my destiny to do that regardless of my actions. Maybe it’s because of that that I feel so pressured to help them in any way I can."

"The knowledge about my future and the knowledge that that future has already come to pass and that it will always come to pass, no matter what I do. Even if I diverged from my own path, I would alter proper human history, wouldn’t I? If I don’t lose my mind and snatch the holy grail from under Hitler’s nose, he might get it and who knows what would happen then? Wouldn’t Chaldea come to crack down on me immediately? There isn’t a way out for me, at all. That’s the scariest part."

    Wish for the Grail
"It may not seem so at first, but really, this one is a selfish wish. More than anything, I would wish for my other self to find peace. Because, in turn, that would mean I wouldn’t need to worry so much about my future. I’d know that true peace was coming, that I could rest, unplagued by dark thoughts and the terrible memories that plague me later in my life."

"I don’t know how to talk with him. He regards me as a friend but I can tell that his perception of me has been muddled by my other half, and my latest memories of him, before coming here, are just a few moments old. They feel so close to the present, like just a few minutes lay between them and this very moment. But, he seems a bit older now, more tired. If I brought them up to him now, would he remember? Or would those memories lie in a now long gone past for him?"
    Oswald Boelcke
"It’s almost unreal to see him walking again. His death is still a relatively fresh memory in my mind. It can’t have been much more than a year since he passed, at least to me that is. Seeing him again feels wholly unreal. I dread to think what he must make of me now, after seeing what becomes of me. I wonder if he regrets teaching me what I know now. I know, if I were in his shoes, I certainly would."
    Max Immelmann
"I’d often regretted never having gotten to meet him properly. He always seemed like the most sane between all of us and I always thought it was such a shame that he had passed on so fast. In all honesty, I think he may be the only one who is genuinely good enough at heart that he can look past the other me. From what I heard he really was a bleeding, golden heart through and through, what I am seeing here is only reinforcing that."
    Werner Voß
"It’s good to know that his hot-headedness hasn’t left him even in death. I’d always said that my only hope for him was that he wasn’t disappointed with the way he went out. I think, if he’d died because of something mundane like engine troubles, or old age, he would have been more furious about it himself than any of us could ever have imagined. I honestly missed him regaling me with his grand fantasies and tales of knighthood. As a matter of fact, if you don’t mind Master, I shall go and indulge in his ramblings for a while."
    Anton Fokker
"Well… I would be lying if I said that I was looking forward to seeing him again. Arrogant as ever, and he’s learnt absolutely nothing from his slow downfall, because that would require for him to consider the idea that he failed at something and I’m quite certain that his mind isn’t actually capable of doing that. Regardless of him having an ego big enough for an entire squadron, his skills, I’m afraid, are useful. If they weren’t none of the Aces would ever have given him the light of day."
    Adolf Hitler
"So… this is him, huh? This is the man who gets to take all the credit for the terrible things that happened later.

I… I thought I would be furious when I saw him. That I would leap to tear off his head! That I would murder him again myself! That I would… That I…

I… He’s suffering, for all he did. Forever. It’s enough. There isn’t anything I could do to him that would punish him more and none of my deeds would change my own destiny. I’m not angry, strangely. Just… I just feel more defeated now than ever."
    Ernst Udet (Caster)
"This probably is not at all surprising to you, but I do hate that other version of myself. I do understand that without him I would not be here, right now in this moment, but I’m not so sure that itself would be such a bad thing. Seeing him, knowing he even exists it’s… It feels like a weight gradually lowering on my throat, slowly, painfully strangling me. Try to picture it, Master, seeing your future self, thoroughly broken, bitter … a shadow of the thing you conceive of as ‘yourself’, and you know that none of your actions would change the outcome, because the outcome has already come to pass. My path is set in stone, hell, I’ve already walked the path that leads me to becoming that man. I get glimpses, every now and then, of what it’s like I mean, and it’s miserable, his entire existence is miserable, so I would do everything I can not to become him, but there is nothing I can do. Never have I ever known so clearly that whatever I think of myself as being, whatever it is that I would define as “Ernst Udet” is just a fleeting idea. Not a single thing that will keep me from being him, and I wish it weren’t so."

    Author's Note
For today's special episode of "I can't believe it's not Rider": Ernst Udet2

This has been coming for a long time. Technically I started work on this one even before I started working on the Ernst Udet sheet I posted before, but for one reason or another I was either always unsatisfied with this sheet or couldn't get around to finishing it because of time constraints. Now, I've finally finished it and can, for now, close the book on the self-referential WW1 Pilot circle jerk. At least until I start work on that Max Immelmann Watcher that I brough up at some point.

    STR: B
    END: C
    AGI: C
    MGI: D
    LCK: D
    NP: B

    Height: 185cm
    Weight: 100lbs
Likes: Power, the papacy, claiming territory
    Dislikes: Rebels, losing
Talent: Crushing people who refuse to submit
Natural Enemy: Pope Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras I
    Attribute: Man
Traits: Male, Humanoid, Weak to Enuma Elish
    Armament: A sword
Catalyst: A paper showing his claim to the papacy

    Class Skills:

Magic Resistance D+: He encountered magic in life, though not very much, and thus normally gains the same rank as an Amulet. However, his status as an (Anti)pope ranks this up against Christian magecraft.

Riding C: He was never particularly good at riding mounts, but is competent with the standard ones.

    Personal Skills:

Antipope A: One of the most famous antipopes, he grasped hold of the power that he was given eagerly in Avignon, taking control of the half of the church with he worked with. A skill that causes him to gain more power and attract people, gaining power through their faith. This also allows him, in particular, to designate them as "Cardinals" and enhance them.

Simony B: A notable practitioner of simony, he collected and traded lands, using them to purchase allies. A skill which allows him to "claim" lands which he fights through. However, that isn't all of it, as he can then trade the lands to others for mana, or for their loyalty (Manifested as a weaker Command Seal)

Brilliant Return D: The sublimation of his endless goal of a brilliant return to rome as full Pope, wielding force of arms to carve the path. A mindset that cannot be swayed, as every move is in his mind the ideal for the return. In addition, if he manages to "win back" advantages, he begins to glow with a light that enhances his Stats.

    Noble Phantasm(s):

    Butcher of Cecena
Let Blood Wipe Forth Those Who Shall Not Be Conquered

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: C
    Range: 10 meters
    Max Targets: 100 targets

The sublimation of his brutal techniques, purging thousands of civilians from Cecena due to them refusing to join the Papal States. When the true name is called, wave after wave of blood materializes out of his sword, scouring the lands of all those who don't bow and obliterating them. He can also reshape this, tending to choose the soldiers he commanded at that day, which he calls the "Red Company".

    Western Schism
    Time of Two Popes

    Type: Anti-Fortress
    Rank: B
    Range: 30 meters
    Max Targets: 100 Targets

The sublimation of him causing the Western Schism. When the true name is called, a wave of crackling energy materializes from his sword, filled with the darkness and hate caused by the schism. This enables him to "split any bond", fracturing relationships and connections to sow a state of chaos.

Lore: Robert of Geneva, otherwise known as Antipope Clement VII (1342-1394) was an Archbishop of Cambrai who became a cardinal. He notably ordered the destruction of the civilians in Cecena in a horrific play. He was elected as Pope by the cardinals while there already was a pope, Urban VI, causing a schism that took almost fifty years to solve.

Personality: A cruel and fierce man, loving gaining dominion over territories and managing them, playing them carefully to eventually bring his enemies to a checkmate while trading them worthless territories. He hates unity under anyone but him, and so will tend to use Western Schism first, His wish is to claim dominion over all of Europe.

    Relationships:

Pope Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras I: "Unity? No, no you want division."

Pope Julius II: "An admirer of my work, I see. Shame I'll have to destroy you."

Saint Catherine: "Your debate won't work on me."

Therese of Lisieux: "Burning yourself away for others? How foolish."

Marozia: "Oh, little priestess, if only you knew the true shadows... oh. I see."

Ronald Knox: "Detective novels? Is this what the priests amuse themselves with nowadays?"

Robert of Geneva: *hears One-Winged Angel start playing* Seriously though, I'm glad to see you followed through this idea from the Stat This thread. Edgy/morally ambiguous holy figures are always cool to see. I'd imagine Antipope would power him up based on the holy figure he's 'opposing' just from the name, though the effect you gave works too. Is his second NP basically a beamu Rule Breaker? Can he sever Servant contracts with it too?

I'm wondering if anyone can make a sheet for a person like Stepan Bandera? Nothing personal or ideological, I'm just curious

Overly political sheets aren't usually my thing. I just find it harder to adapt ideologies and/or political movements into NPs (even more so when they're relatively recent) in comparison to cool magical weapons and more unique/defining feats.

As far as I remember, Hitler in the Adlet version had the Spear of Longinus as a weapon. I also saw the version with Gugnir on Deviantart. The same Hirohito can be given Kusanagi as a weapon. It is not necessary to turn ideology into NP, especially since some dictators loved all sorts of mysticism, like the Haitian Francois Duvalier

In most cases they feel... poorly justified, though. By that point, are you using the NP to enhance the Servant, or are you using the Servant to justify the "occult" NP? I'm against Hitler sheets in general, but taking that guy as an example, you have a guy known for various atrocities committed under his reign, and you chose to give him an NP based on his occult fascination, which is arguably the least relevant to his overall legend? NPs should always represent a core aspect of the Servant's legend, and giving Hitler Longinus just ain't it. Heck, Longinus ain't even the first thing that comes to mind when most people hear the name Hitler.

On a broader scale, though, guess modern politics just never really appealed to me, idk.

Presumably for the same reasons that there is a staggering amount of sheets for Hitler.

And to give my five cents. It's certainly possible, but without taking a lot of artistic liscence it's just going to feel wrong and somewhat glorifying to a questionable, at best, person. To keep going with the Hitler examples, though I oppose sheets for him in general, I found Royd's version of Hitler (I would link it, but I can't seem to find it on such short notice), intruiging, despite everything and I keep using DelRey's Hitler in my sheets because it's the only sheet of that man that I can half-way agree with. I personally would not make a sheet for Bandera.

At least then there's the excuse of him being such a huge historical figure.
But this guy is really coming here like "hey guy can anyone write a recent nationalist ukrainian nazi that fought against the USSR? nothing political or ideological btw"

I can't see the reason on making a sheet for Bandera. He is not an exceptional figure in any way.
