Madness Enhancement D-
A class skill raising basic parameters and strengthens one's physical abilities in exchange for hindering rational thought. Berserker’s Madness takes the form of a desire to scare children into behaving well, and stealing away those that do not change their ways. He also possesses the desire to scare adults, but to a noticeably lesser extent.
Berserkers existence is built upon causing fear in children, without this he is nothing and believes he will quickly be completely and utterly forgotten if he does not continue. While Berserker desires frightening and sometimes even killing naughty children, he doesn’t really take pleasure in it, seeing it as just something akin to a nine to five office job.
Thanks to his relatively low rank of madness enhancement he can be considered quite rational, although he is still quite unpredictable, especially when around children.
Personal SkillsPersonal Skills
Monstrous Strength C+
A Skill that temporarily grants a rank-up to one's Strength parameter for a time limit determined by the ranking of this Skill. It is borne from the holder's nature as a monster. With such strength, Berserker is capable of physically overpowering any opponent he comes across, excluding other berserkers and certain high powered servants.
It is said his favourite method of attack is lurking in ponds/lakes and dragging misbehaving children into the depths. The reason this skill is relatively low is born from a mixture of primarily going after children, and his nature as not what one would call a true monster, but instead a fairy whose purpose is to be a monster.
Boogeyman A++
A skill denoting ones existence as a Boogeyman, also known as a Bugbear, a fae that exists to frighten children into good behaviour. This skill grants the possessor the ability to inspire fear in those that gaze upon them, especially in children, the mentally ill and the evil, the higher the rank it is, the more effective it is at causing nightmares in whomever he desires. Servants with high Magic Resistance as well as Berserkers master are both immune to this effect.
Berserker was created by the world itself to act as a malicious spirit, meant to torment naughty children into being good, it is said that those that do not behave after being tormented by him are dragged away and are said to never be seen again.
Morph B+
A skill that allows one to alter their own appearance, a power commonly found in the abilities of trickster spirits as well as vampires. Berserkers shapeshifting ability allows him to turn into a variety of forms, primarily meant to scare others by turning into their greatest fear, it also has multiple combat applications. Berserker cannot use this skill to enhance his physical stats above a certain level, as his skill isn’t of high enough rank.
As a Boogeyman, Berserker has the capacity to change into almost anything he can imagine, which means he would naturally have a very high rank in this skill, if not for the fact he dislikes shapeshifting, preferring to hold onto his more recognisable form, or more accurately, forms. One of which is a skull stripped of skin that bites its victims and its companion a dancing headless skeleton.
IdentityIdentity
Berserker’s True Name is Rawhead-and-Bloody-Bones, a specific, famously violent, boogeyman and fae found in both British and North American folklore.
He is one of three brothers that were, in the olden times, known as a triumvirate which governed destruction and punishment. He specifically focuses on scaring naughty children into submissiveness, with those that do not mend their ways being taken from their homes to never be seen again.
Berserker believes lying and spreading rumours to be two of the greatest sins mankind is capable of, and enjoys the act of decapitating those who lie, and to those that gossip he likes to rip out there tongues. He is incredibly hypocritical when it comes to his punishments, for example if someone were to behead someone else for lying, he would consider the beheader to be naughty, yet he does not consider himself naughty.
Berserker holds a dislike of bright and open areas, instead preferring dark, damp and constricted places such as cupboards, underneath beds, cabinets and murky ponds. It helps that children are generally scared of monsters in hidden places, he loves places located under a stairway the most, as it is “the perfect place to keep his bones”.
Towards his master, Berserker is surprisingly tame and rational, thanks to his relatively low rank of madness enhancement allowing him to keep a decent amount of his mental faculties fully functioning, although it must be noted that when around children, he is likely to ignore commands unless a command seal is used to reign him in, as he will reset back to his original nature. If his master is younger then sixteen, he will not try to scare them as he would normal children, unless he deems them “naughty”.
His wish to the Holy Grail is to live a life where he doesn’t need to work and can just live out his days in peace.
BiographyBiography
Berserker was, like most other fae, born from the inner sea of the planet, also known as the reverse side of the world. Like most fairies, he has a purpose etched deep into his heart as well as his mind, that being to spread terror and ruin throughout the land. Alongside him, two other creatures of similar purpose came into existence, his “brothers” were known as the Nuckelavee and the Erlking. The three of them creating what was referred to as a triumvirate which governed destruction and fear.
They ravaged the land in which they roamed in their own unique ways, Nuckelavee preferring sheer destruction with his plague-ridden flesh, while Erlking enjoyed the causing the suffering of parents by stealing away their child away for little reason other then it amused him. Out of the three “brothers”, Berserker was considered the weakest, as in comparison to his brothers, who were both incredibly powerful in their own right, he wasn’t that strong, but to most other fairies he was by no means weak.
While possessing a similar existence to his brethren, there was one noticeable difference about his existence, as unlike his destructive brothers, his end goal could be considered constructive, with his prime directive being to make those of evil leanings, especially children, turn over a new leaf. If they didn’t become a better person from his torment, he would steal them when they least expect it and rip the flesh from their bones, a very effective threat.
As the magic of the world began to dwindle, each of the brothers refused to leave to the reverse side of the world like most other fae and phantasmal creatures, instead they sought to stay in the world. The first to fall was Nuckelavee whose plagues were destroyed and sterilised, the second to go was Erlking, who was slain by a blade of iron. Berserker did not want to wither away like his brothers, but as time passed his name began to be forgotten by time, no longer was it passed down through the generations as a creature to fear, but instead it was passed down as a tall tale no kid would ever believe.
He should have withered away years ago, and in fact he did, many, many years ago he withered away without realising it, yet he still appears to be alive. The reason for this is while he has died, his sheer determination to not wither away had created many weak wraiths similar to himself, now known to mages as Lesser Boogeymen, which are a relatively weak Phantasmal species only capable of invoking nightmares in children and the mentally deranged.
But his life as something more then a wraith was not over, as his existence as a creature which kidnaps and eats naughty children enshrined him into the throne of heroes as an Anti-Hero Heroic Spirit.
Noble PhantasmNoble Phantasm
Idea of Fear, Actualisation of Paranoia, Causer of Carnage: Bugbear Rawhead
Type: Anti-Army, Anti-Imagination, Reality Marble
Rank: C-A++
Range: 1-500
Maximum Targets: 1000
As more and more children began to fear him and the nightmares he could cause, Rawhead’s power grew, and as his powers grew so too did the fear he was able to create, until not only children were affected, but so were adults, even the mentally sound ones weren’t safe. In one Cornish village, his influence was so potent it caused all those effected to rampage and massacre each other, they say it once granted him enough power to physically manifest in the world without a holy grail war, as the fear he caused was just that great.
Without any people brought into his reality marble, it resembles a silent, dark and endless expanse, no life in sight except for the mild smell of rotting flesh in their air. Upon bringing someone into the reality marble, it will begin to warp into something his victims would find truly frightening, and from the darkness of the land deranged creatures, forsaken by all gods, are born to tear into the hapless victim.
As one whose very existence is based on the fear and paranoia of children, Berserker has become an existence able to conjure a realm of nightmares in which those which do not exist are able to harm and even kill those who do exist. In other, simpler words it is a Reality Marble that allows for the actualisation of psychological damage into physical damage. A common mistake made is that his Noble Phantasm ends up bringing his victims nightmares to life, in actuality, without fear, his Noble phantasm is unable to cause harm even if the creatures attack, as their weapons will merely phase through the intended victim, in short he can turn the psychological damage from illusions into physical damage.
The psychology of Berserkers victim is what determines the rank and power of his Noble Phantasm, for example, one of sound mind with little to no imagination would have a relatively decent chance of surviving the horrors they are subjected too, while say for example someone who is mentally ill as well as highly imaginative would most likely be torn limb from limb in the most extraordinarily painful ways.

Tale of the Bugbear
From the marl pit he crawls
A beast with deathly iron claws
His teeth chatter with delight
As he smells the air filled with fright
Into the home of children he crawls
The beast with evil jaws
His empty eyes filled with dread
A creature hiding under your bed
Into the cupboard he crawls
To catch naughty children in his claws
Once he catches them
They are never seen again
And so back into the marl pit he crawls
With bones picked clean and bloodied jaws
In the morning the parents shriek
They know their child’s future is bleak
