beside here is the Lostbelt i would like to hear your oppinion but please note it isnt finished .
tell me when it is ready, then perhaps.
Like i said back when Fortuna made his Imhotep, there are enough gods from space with the southamerican pantheon, the greek mecha gods and perhaps one other. I know I am the "Foreigner Guy" here, but I am actually a "Deity Guy" and I like the more earthly approach to gods in the Nasuverse context. What I would do tho is to say that Egyptians were some who were the most aware of Outer Gods, obviously through Nyarlathotep, but also through the common theory that the god of the foreign star or whatever the current FGO villain was called is actually the egyptian representation of Sirius - Sothis/Sopdet. That is something i can agree with, because what i read here and there is something that oddly fits what they r doing in FGO.

Why I am relearning it? Because I am working on a Triad of Servants of which 2 are in the conceptual phase and I cannot begin working on the actual servants before I have a firm grasp of the mythology and how I can throw in the Nasuverse Bullshit to to make it consistent and interesting enough. So far I have found the most important concepts of Egyptian mythology; 'Time', 'Name' and 'Vision' and have a rough idea what Aten is in my version, what a 'Pillar of Light' in Egypt could be (like Rhongom) and at least a plan on finding how to juggle the 5 cosmogonies present in Ancient Egypt.
But it is a pain in the butt so far, balancing over 3000 years of mythology is a task, I understand how egyptian servants are so rare in FGO

Will the real King Arthur please stand up? (I kid, I kid)
For real though, I found this on an old memory stick and thought why not post it.
    ----

    Saber

"Regardless of name or title, my holy sword will cut down all of your enemies, do not fret Master. That said, I do hope I survive this time. What? No I didn't say anything, don't sweat it..."

    True Name: Artúr mac Áedán
Epithet: "The Tragic Prince of Dál Riata"
    Region: Brtiain (6th Century AD)
    Hidden Attribute: Human
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Likes: Honour, Sailing
    Dislikes: Maeatae, Prophecies
    Talents: Stubborness, Oration
    Natural Enemy: Saint Columba

    Parameters
    STR: (B) END: (B) AGI: (C) MGI: (C) LCK: (E) NP: (B)

    Character
Saber takes the form of Artúr mac Áedán, the prince of Dál Riata and general of its military forces under his father's reign. A young man full of wonder and courage, he would not back down from a challenge and resent the idea of giving up even when it came to the prophecy that declared he would die young in battle. This great stubbornness can give Artúr a more childish demeanour than a soldier and prince should otherwise have but he would just laugh it off saying that life's to short to sweat the small stuff. That said, he does genuinely show respect to those above his position or skill, though if their attitude is bad then Artúr's own sarcastic streak will start to leak out. Incarnated into the modern day, Artúr is endlessly fascinated by the changes in the era and when not challenging strong Servants, he can be found playing games in the arcade, binging at fast food joints and even singing along at Idol Concerts.

His Wish upon the Grail? Because he does not consider his death to have been in vain, he would not use it on himself but rather wish to avert the tragic deaths of his younger brothers Eochaid Find and Domangart who also died in conquests conducted in their father's name.

    Skills

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance - (B)
The protection granted against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. As a soldier who lived in an age rife with monsters and mages, Artúr naturally has a high tolerance against magecraft. Now as a Servant, Artúr's body will automatically cancel out spells with a chant below three verses. Even if he is targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected tremendously.

    Riding - (C)
A Class Skill of Rider and Saber class Servants, denoting the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. Getting around the diverse lands of Dál Riata was no easy feat even for a soldier like Artúr and would often required a skilled hand at both riding a horse over the highlands or sailing a vessel through the choppy waters to reach the chain of islands that comprise the kingdom. Now as a Servant, Artúr can flawlessly manage beasts and vehicles if they have received the proper training and adjustments. Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill. However, he cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Personal Skills

    Charisma - (B)
A composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. As both a prince and a general of the forces of Dál Riata, Artúr generates a certain amount of gravitas that convinces even those otherwise disagreeable to do what he asks. This reached its zenith at the Battle of Miathi where even after he was fatally wounded, Artúr commanded his men to fight on in a losing battle which then eventually won. As a Servant, others in Artúr's party receive a Plus Modifier when following his orders and even his Master will obtain a small boost when doing the same.

    Identical Stranger - (A)
The unusual case of having an uncanny resemblance to an otherwise unconnected figure from history. Because of a number of parallels existing in their legends, a theory proposing Artúr to be one of many identities forming the basis of "King Arthur" persists in the public consciousness. Now incarnated into a Servant, when another person looks at Artúr, they will be convinced that what they are actually looking at is King Arthur even if they knew either Artúr or the real Artoria in real life, until they hear his True Name or him invoke the name of his Noble Phantasm.

    Unyielding Will - (B)
A Skill that represents one's extremely firm will that never yields to any sort of agony, despair or circumstances. Artúr was an extremely stubborn yet determined person who refused to submit to his fate of dying in battle and would fight on no matter the injuries he sustained. As a result he possesses significant resistance against physical and mental damage. However, said resistance will not hold against attacks that aim at beguiling others - such as illusions.

    Noble Phantasm

    Claidheamh Fáil
    The Redstone Sword of Destiny

[Type: Anti-Unit], [Rank: B], [Maximum Range: 2-3 Metres], [Maximum Number of Targets: 1-2 Units]

The ceremonial sword once used by the founder-king of Dál Riata, Fergus Mór who took it along with him when he defected from Ireland. It is a Holy Sword said to hold a fragment of the Jacob Stone embedded in the hilt. Áedán gave it to his son in the vain hope that its power would avert the tragic fate that Saint Columba predicted for Artúr.

Despite its original intention for use in coronations, the sword is still a finely crafted work which easily cuts through flesh and bone in the right hands. But the sword's true threat lies in borrowing the power of the Jacob Stone. By channelling the stone's Holy energy, the blade gains a red aura around it and when Artúr swings the sword in this state he tries to forcibly "change" the probability of the attack's success so that if the target fails the LCK Check and/or do not have the required magical defences then space will warp so that even if they dodged they were still hit or if they blocked the blade will still cut through. This can also be used defensively to ensure Artúr blocks attacks that would otherwise be too strong or fast for him to react. However to channel the power of the Jacob Stone requires a lot of energy and Artúr cannot maintain it for more than three minutes at a time.

    Lore
Long ago in a distant land there existed Dál Riata, it was formed from Gaelic nobles who left Northern Ireland to set up their own kingdom in what is now western Scotland. During the latter half of the sixth century, the kingdom was ruled by Áedán mac Gabráin who lead it through its "golden age". After ascending to the throne, Áedán took a British wife and had many sons, the eldest of which was called Artúr.

Whilst Artúr was young, his father received a visit from none other than Saint Columba who was on a pilgrimage from Ireland to spread Christianity to the heathen Scots. As he was giving hospitality Columba, Áedán decided to test the Saint's credibility by asking which of the princes would succeed him to the throne. The Saint complied and used his prophetic powers to see into the future and told King Áedán that the youngest son Eochaid Buide would be the one to be crowned, the reason being that his elder brothers would all die in battle before the end of the king's reign.

Despite the ominous prediction, Artúr continued on his noble path by becoming a soldier under his father and his skills allowed him to rapidly rise in the ranks to where he was leading the forces of Dál Riata on the eastern frontier against the aggressive Picts who wished to stop the spread of the kingdom's rise. Towards the end of the sixth century, the day of fate came when the final battle between Dál Riata and the Maeatae occurred, who were a tribe merged from the collective of southern Picts and Northern Brits who fled the Roman occupation. The battle of Miathi as it came to be known, was even at first with casualties on both sides. But Artúr decided he could not take sitting on the side-lines any longer and disobeyed his father's orders and charged into battle. Artúr took on everyone who came at him, cutting them down but gradually taking his own fair share of hits as the battle wore on until he reached the enemy's main camp. Fatigue and injuries slowed down Artúr who could not avoid taking several critical strikes through his chest. But even with blades sticking out of him, he let out a roar and told his men not to give up hope as whoever died today would go arm in arm with Artúr to paradise as brothers. The soldiers of Dál Riata emboldened by their leader's dying plea charged onwards and overcame the Maeatae who were crushed and brought victory to Áedán at the cost of his son.

Because of the heroic sacrifice of Artúr mac Áedán, "Artúr" and the various alternate spellings became very popular in northern Britain afterwards which led to the name nowadays known as "Arthur". Whether this had a hand in shaping the figure known as King Arthur is unknown and the true identity of the mythic figure is shrouded in the fog of history...

    Relationships
Artoria/Arthur - "Oh, if only I had a fraction of the skill and power you possess, my fate might have turned out differently."

Fergus/Cú/Diarmuid/Fionn - "Ah, if it isn't the heroes of my ancestral land. I'd more than welcome a chance to test my mettle against you guys."

Medb - "Bleh. It's because of people like you that my ancestors left Ireland."

    Mordred - "...?"

Scáthach - "Even though the Isle of Skye was within our borders, my father always told me never to set foot in there. I wonder, are you really as scary as they say?"

Ywain - "Owain? Is that you?"

    Creator's Notes
I don't actually remember how this Sheet came to be. I think I was researching the origins of Morgan le Fay which lead me to Muirgen nic Áedán which in turn lead me to Artúr.

By the by, there is no real such thing as Claidheamh Fáil. I (kind of) made it up sadly, but it just wouldn't be a Saber-face without a magic sword. XD

The FaceClaim is Flynn Scifo from Tales of Vesperia, mainly because that was exactly who I thought of first when I saw Proto-Arthur's design for the first time.

"My form has changed. I must turn to different prey. ...That's not new to me. It might be a bigger change, but if anything, it felt less painful this time. I'm an Assassin now. And I'll do what I must."

    Class: Assassin

    Appearance

    True Name: The Champawat Tiger

    Alignment: True Neutral

    Source: Historical fact

Place of Origin: Associated with the Kumaon area of India, particularly Champawat, though her first attacks on humans were in the Rupal area of western Nepal in the Himalayas

    Parameters
    STR: B

    END: C

    AGI: A

    MGI: D

    LCK: B

    NP: B

    Height: 265 centimetres

    Weight: 160 kilograms

    Likes: Simple living, keeping fed

    Dislikes: People with large egos

    Talent: Adapting quickly to necessity

Natural Enemy: Heroic Spirits in general

    Attribute: Human

    Armament: Fangs and claws

Catalyst: Replicas of the missing parts of her canines, as long as they're copies made out of something other than bone

    Class Skills
    Obfuscation B+

Hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. It is possible to disappear and become extremely difficult to be detected. The Rank of Obfuscation drops considerably when preparing to attack.

As she became used to routinely travelling large distances at high speed while staying hidden to avoid humans, Assassin's Stealth checks don't receive any penalties related to movement speed.

    Personal Skills
    Animal Communication B+

As a Heroic Spirit based on a tigress, she is capable of communicating normally with humans and Servants, but also retains the capability of communicating with other tigers: moreover, the Grail has extended this so she can better communicate with other non-human animals as well to various degrees, though always better than nearly any human could communicate with them. Still, tigers remain the non-human animals she understands the best.

Aptitude for Slaughter (Natural Weapons) B

Part of Assassin's former specialisation in hunting humans remains crystallised in this Skill. She has learnt humans' weaknesses in a fight and how to pick them off, and as a result is able to deal increased damage to them.

To Have Conquered The Day B

Somewhat akin to the 'Bravery' Skill. Assassin carried out the vast majority of her attacks against her victims in broad daylight, which was practically unheard of in all previous cases of tiger attacks on humans. The area she had made her territory, much wider than those of most Bengal tigers and more akin in size to that of a Siberian tiger, was paralysed by fear, with people often refusing to leave their homes, listening fearfully to her mighty roars from the forest. Her lack of fear from then persists now that she is a Heroic Spirit, and so does the ability to induce paralysing terror into her foes.

    Noble Phantasm
Kyānā'inaharū: Memory of the Once-Broken Fangs

    Type: Anti-Unit

    Rank: B

    Range: 1

    Max Targets: 1 person

This Noble Phantasm represents Assassin's fangs and claws, including the two right canines that had been broken off (the upper one halfway, the lower one entirely) and had forced her to adapt to hunting humans since she was no longer capable of hunting her usual prey. Though the two broken fangs are restored to her as a Heroic Spirit, this Noble Phantasm represents the need for adaptation by giving Assassin the ability to pick up new Skills as she goes, in a manner somewhat similar to the 'Imperial Privilege' Skill; in Assassin's case, picking up these Skills requires Luck checks, which will be easier to pass the more the Skill can be called a direct opposite to one of her opponents' Skills.

Moreover, her former specialisation in hunting humans still presents itself in the form of being able to momentarily seal off Noble Phantasms of Heroic Spirits based on humans without a 'Divinity' Skill. To do so, Assassin needs to strike one, then pass a Luck check with a high base threshold and compared to a Luck check from the opponent in case the opponent's Luck check is higher than the base threshold. The duration of the seal depends on the result of these Luck checks, but usually translates to somewhere between 5 and 20 minutes, though outliers in either directions may appear. Each strike can only seal one Noble Phantasm at a time, chosen at random, and further strikes can be used for a chance to lengthen the duration of a random seal if all Noble Phantasms of the target are already sealed somehow. If a Noble Phantasm represented by an object or creature is sealed, they disappear for the seal's duration and reappear afterwards wherever the other Servant usually keeps them.

    Lore
At an estimated 436 deaths caused, the Champawat Tiger was a Bengal tigress that became responsible for the highest amount of human deaths of any tiger in recorded history. Her first attacks on humans began in the Rupal area of western Nepal in the Himalayas, in which she's estimated to have killed around 200 people, but she was eventually chased across the Indian border in a beat organised to by the Nepalese army. Her hunting tactics became considerably different from other Bengal tigers', with her taking to move much larger distances in a single day to avoid humans and establishing a much wider territory in the Kumaon area of India, more akin to a Siberian tiger's in size. Moreover, the vast majority of her attacks on humans were during the day, which was basically unprecedented. Though she terrorised the region and essentially ground nearly all on-foot movement in it to a halt for a time, she was shot to death near Champawat in 1907 by hunter Jim Corbett, helping establish his reputation as his time's foremost hunter of big cats who had taken to feed on humans. After her death, it was found out that her upper right canine was broken in half and her lower right canine was broken right to the bone. This was theorised to be the result of an old gunshot. Her broken fangs probably made it impossible for her to hunt her usual prey, so she began to attack humans instead. Other than the broken fangs, she appeared to have been physically healthy and likely somewhere between 10 to 12 years old at the time of her death.

    Personality
Assassin fearlessly hunts what she must to survive. She holds no grudges, but shows no mercy. She tends to treat everyone, Masters included, as equals who happen to have ended up on the same or opposite sides, and to dislike those who treat others as inferior. She's not particularly friendly in an active manner, but she also won't try to rebuff others on purpose. She has an uncommon sense of humour, not in the sense that she makes bad jokes or finds good jokes unfunny, but in the sense that most jokes initally just confuse her more often than not; so, the enjoyment she derives from them mostly consists in the eureka moment that she reaches when someone explains them to her in a manner she can understand (typically an arduous matter) or she actually manages to unravel them on her own.

    Notes
Technically fits the current Monthly contest but doesn't feel like it'd make a particularly good entry, especially since the scope there is much broader; I didn't make this sheet for the contest anyway, though, so I won't be entering it in there.

If you plan to Research About the Cosmology of the Egyptian Cosmology i suggest you look About These three Terms :Kekau-Semau, Reteh-Qabet and Sereq-Hetit as These three are describing aspects of the Space but can also be used for other Things the threee are though german wiki sites but i dont think that should be a Problem .

About the Counterpart of Rhongomyniad have i thought on that Seths spear might be a Counterpart on the offenside side as he were the Deity of the Forreign world and he were that he was aside the Antagonist wer he also the Guardian of Egypt as he defeated the beast Yam which is actually a Being of the Canaanitic Mythospehre also where a interesting fact that the Pharao was the Ambassador of two Gods that ruled through the Pharaoh ,Horus/RA at the centre and Seth at the periphery .So did i thought on a "DArk Counterpart" a chaotic Version as there must be to anything a balancing force like no Light without Shadow . like a Pillar of Darkness . and you forgot the beside three mentioned is the Flow of Nature Energy and Soul are also important concepts .

Also could you give us some hints on your servants perhaps i or others can help you ?

I think those questions are already covered enough, mainly by Olympus. A god is an object of human worship, regardless of its origins. A god can be a natural phenomenon assigned a personality by the humans who worshipped it (eg. the Sumerian pantheon), a human reincarnated as a god (Heracles, Quirinus), or a even an worshipped space invader (the Aztec pantheon, the Olympian mechgods). There’re seemingly no restrictions to what can be worshipped into divinity.

Zeus’ backstory tells that humanity mistook the interstellar ships’ functions for Authorities, making them gain those genuine Authorities when being assigned their human-like personalities and worshipped into the mechgods. This implies the worship comes first and the Authority is a consequence of it.

Alright I don't really feel confident in critiquing others' sheets but I must say that I really liked Skull's take on Artúr. The 'Identical Stranger' Skill is a really fun idea, and I love his quote at the start about surviving and the way you picked that faceclaim. Also I probably wouldn't have been able to tell that the Claidheamh Fáil was something you made up yourself without you telling us unless I looked it up and it seems like a cool Noble Phantasm.

Thanks! I had considered Aptitude for Slaughter but I was unsure about whether the partial overlap with the NP would've been a good thing or not. I guess I could put in something like this, what do you think?

    Aptitude for Slaughter
Aptitude for Slaughter (Natural Weapons) B

Part of Assassin's former specialisation in hunting humans remains crystallised in this Skill. She has learnt humans' weaknesses in a fight and how to pick them off, and as a result is able to deal increased damage to them.

Another Skill I considered but was unsure whether I should include or not was Instinct. Should I put in something along these lines, too?

    Instinct
    Instinct C

Though after the injury to her canines Assassin had to adapt and could no longer fully utilise in practice the part of her instincts related to hunting down the prey to which she was formerly used, due to the way she lived her life her instincts in general remain sharper than most humans' and than those of most Heroic Spirits who were once human.

I actually never got far enough into RWBY to get to Sienna's introduction (pretty sure the last one I've watched was S3E7 'The Beginning of the End' though I know about a bunch of stuff that happened afterwards), but from what I've read it does seem like she got remarkably little screentime for someone with a role such as hers in the lore.

AS for the idea, yeah that's partly why I dropped it or put it on hold, it's rather complicated and generally isn't something which I think everyone could either fully enjoy or understand [...] it really gets into a bunch of complicated affairs on how saint graphs work, the throne of heroes, humanity's perception (and may not even be fully canon to how Nasu's world operates), and such which make it fairly hard to understand unless you know all that stuff.
I did end up implementing those Skills, thanks! And to be fair I'm an outlier in terms of how little I know of the franchise so don't let one person hold you back on that front (though I'm not saying you need to go through with that plan if you feel like the other stuff you mentioned includes some big issues).

thanks for that Koga, I usually browse the english wiki and other sites and avoid german sources, as they more often than not are just shorter or translated english wiki entries. Weirdly enough, sometimes german wiki has own sites for mythological stuff that english wiki did not bother with. While I concentrate more on the background of who were the first egyptian gods and what the differing creation myths mean, having an understanding of how they view the universe is helpful later

Also could you give us some hints on your servants perhaps i or others can help you ?
Seth wasnt always the god of chaos, he started as a protector of the oasis in the desert and his origin is in Nubt, the gateway to the desert with its riches, so that is why later he became the god of the desert in general. Then over time he got other aspects like eclipses, storms and thunder. Him becoming 'evil' is because of another culture that took Set, associated him with an evil deity and later the egyptians adapted their belief in parts. The longer it went on, the more villain-y he became. In essence he was a strong and esteemed deity and his original part in the osiris myth was to be a rival to the king that had legitimate claims to the kingship. Or other interpretations he represented one half of Egypt and his defeat before the new king took over. So in the Nasuverse I see Set as the 'Failed King' and 'Anti-Hero' than simple villain. The neccessary Chaos to keep the King from becoming lazy, which is the moral of the story from that whole ordeal. Chaos vs. Order

Else, the importance of magic is not unique to egypt, so not an essential defining part of their mythology and the soul is part of the name. And i think you dont understand what the 'Pillar of Light' is, it is a nail that pins the texture of the world to the planet. Like the staff of Wukong, it pinned the texture of the Ocean in place. Or my variant of Gungnir is a pillar that nailed the Norse texture and Odin breaking it apart led to the prophesized destruction, or was part of it. The pillars are not just concept of light or dark, they have structural functions in the nasuverse.

oh and sry I have no plans yet for the North American and Chinese Pantheons, as they are rather complex or not that interesting to me yet. I touched on Inuit Mythology in last contest tho and KIWI's Tethra made me wanna go his route and make the Fomorians the sea folk like your idea perhaps.

Ayo! Longtime lurker, first time posting anything at all to Beast's Lair. I've been wanting to post in this thread for awhile but was always mega anxious about it, so, overcoming that right now! After a training arc learning how to work with the formatting stuff on here, which was WAY easier than I thought it'd be at first, so that's rad. I make a bunch of Servants (most of them just for fun) so this isn't my first or anything, it's just definitely one of the ones I'm most proud of. As a quick side note there's some collapsed text scattered throughout this, but gonna draw special attention to the History section, since it'd kinda suck if that got missed (in hindsight I could just make them split, but that's less visually cool so whatever). Hope the formatting is okay! Please lemme know if it looks funky.

Anyway! Sorry for all that. With my preamble out of the way:

"Oho~! In response to your call,
Arsène Lupin has come! Now, let's get a good look at you...hm, well, not the most promising partner I've had...but, never you mind! I'm sure you'll grow into the role, probably. I'll follow your commands when it suits me for now. In return, pay close attention—after all, learning from a master thief is a once in a lifetime opportunity!"

To put it another way, compère...I suppose I’m just a sore loser. Ahaha!"

    Magic: D
    Luck: —
    Noble Phantasm: EX

As a prideful man at heart, Lupin won't allow anything other than his own genius to take credit for his capers. Thus, he's sealed his own Luck.

"You wish to know me better? Ha! Well, I'm fully aware of how interesting I am...but I'm afraid those stories are best told through the mouths of others. Come now, don't give me that look! Leave the storytelling to the storytellers."

    Class Skills
    Camouflage: A+
A Skill of the Faker class, allowing one to mask their status information. Its rank is so high that Lupin can obfuscate anything about himself with ease, and he uses this Skill in tandem with one of his Noble PhantasmsMan of a Thousand Faces to create nearly perfect disguises.

    Independent Action: A
A Skill of the Faker class, the ability to function without a Master’s support. So long as he carefully conserves his magical energy, Lupin can maintain himself for one week.

    Personal Skills
    Master of All Trades: A
Lupin is a whimsical man who mastered countless crafts throughout his many travels, all involving larceny, of course...but also political intrigue, war, and even mysticism. As such, he can exhibit abilities honed in life as Skills ranked B or higher, these including thievery, martial arts, medical techniques, magecraft, marksmanship, espionage, and riding. Lupin can additionally quickly pick up new talents and display them in the same manner.

    Eye for Art: A+
The ability to tell a counterfeit apart from an original is absolutely necessary for Lupin’s line of work—and with his unparalleled familiarity with art from various genres, regions, and time periods, there isn’t a single fake around that can fool Lupin. This expertise can even allow him to recognize the True Names of enemy Noble Phantasms if there’s some kind of artistic quality about them.

    Phantom Thief's Calling Card: A++

An audacious warning sent to Lupin’s target, “the event that creates an absolute theft.” Once read, the target is affected by a persistent curse that causes small distortions in the World around them that always act to Lupin’s benefit—such as a window left slightly ajar, allowing Lupin to slip inside their home with ease. The calling card always puts him in the perfect position to make due on his bold promise...but of course, some targets might end up turning the tables on Lupin when given such ample time to prepare.

    Noble Phantasm(s)
Reaching Out With My Open Hand
    Yours Is Mine

    Rank: EX
    Type: Anti-Treasure
    Range: 1 ~ 60
    Max. Targets: 1
A man who never failed to carry out a theft, not even once. That truth has been sublimated as a Noble Phantasm enacting the concept of an “absolute theft”—with the only prerequisite being that the target must know Lupin’s True Name before it can be used.

In planning his heists, Lupin made sure to follow a very detailed set of steps. The first, obviously, is to identify the exact target. The second is for him to question if the risk is worth the reward. The third is to plan out how he would do so, including the methods and tools he would need to employ. From that point on there are countless other steps, big and small, in order to ensure a successful theft...but this Noble Phantasm cuts right to the heart of the matter. It is the rewriting of World law according to a mere burglar’s whim so that he might commit the ultimate robbery. So long as he has a plan and the means to make it possible, it is decided that Lupin’s theft is “already a success,” so all he needs to do is open his hand...and in that palm that’s held so many other things thought untouchable, he will find exactly what he sought. He need simply to desire something, and reach out his hand to get it. The target need not even be something physical. If Lupin’s brilliant mind can conceive of a way to do so, then even the conceptual is a viable target. A Noble Phantasm of few limitations and infinite possibilities—a perfect reflection of the man himself. At the same time, too many options often leads to paralyzation. Er, never to Lupin, of course...but the fact remains. Being limited only by his own mind is a blessing and a curse.

Yet...should the robbery somehow fail, a fatal contradiction occurs. Arsène's thefts never failed, yet this Noble Phantasm's own failure would disprove that. This simple problem becomes a paradox. The World denies the idea that “Arsène Lupin failed” and instead decides that “this Servant is not Arsène Lupin,” causing the rapid degradation of his spirit core.

That being said, there are two ways to defend against Lupin’s Noble Phantasm. The first is to simply not allow it to happen at all—probably the easier option, all things considered. The alternative is to prepare a defense against Lupin that is so powerful, so complete, that not even this legendary thief could achieve his goal. But that’s easier said than done.

"Do listen closely—for here and now, Arsène Lupin takes everything from you! In the palm of my hand, what’s Yours is Mine! Ahahahahaha!"

    To Hide In Plainest Sight
    Man of a Thousand Faces

    Rank: B
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Range: Self
    Max. Targets: 1
In all the stories surrounding him, Lupin’s always sported a different name and face, never sticking to one of either for very long. He’s a master of disguise, and this Noble Phantasm is declarative of that fact. Though Lupin’s disguises in life were the result of subterfuge and cunning, this ability is altogether different, allowing Lupin to completely transform in the blink of an eye (though this doesn’t include inhuman creatures or inanimate objects). But this Noble Phantasm is far more than just a superficial mask—every time he transforms, Lupin can completely obscure his status information, hiding the truth even from his own Master should he wish it. In this way, the true worth of Lupin’s Noble Phantasm reveals itself—Lupin’s ability to truly become someone new each time he takes the stage. This is Arsène Lupin's qualification for the Faker class. He doesn't masquerade as one person in particular, but assumes the face of anyone he pleases in order to accomplish his goals.

However, there is a single glaring weakness. If one deduces Lupin’s True Name and calls it out with absolute confidence, his transformation is immediately dispelled, and while he can still shapeshift in the presence of those that have seen through his act, Lupin’s status obfuscation does not work on such people. It’s a troublesome drawback, but not one that’s normally an issue...unless of course, Lupin happens to be dealing with an equally troublesome detective.

"Alright, compère, you’re chinking away at my armor! This must be how others feel when I’m prodding them, at least a little...anyway, hmm...where do I start with myself? The beginning, my first theft? My studies? My first caper, or perhaps my last? My time in the war, or maybe even my encounter with that detective...see what I mean now? My life is quite literally storied, ahahaha! You're better off not worrying about it."

—At this time, Lupin remains evasive regarding the true nature of his existence as a Heroic Spirit. “What does it matter if I am fact or fiction?” he says. “Either way, I am here!” Right he may be, it’s an odd situation. If Lupin really did exist, then surely there’d have been some kind of outcry...it seems impossible that a man with his feats would end up going under the historical radar. Yet it cannot be denied that Lupin displays a power and magnetism uncharacteristic of wholly fictional Heroic Spirits. Just what…

Well I guess in the end, speculation is useless. This infuriating man will continue to take the more “entertaining” route and refuse to give a straight answer.

    History
Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar; a name that first made its way into the public consciousness in 1905, penned by Maurice Leblanc. The thief’s exploits quickly became a sensation the world over, in large part due to the mirror they became to the eminently popular detective novels. It was even to the point that Leblanc wrote an encounter between his eponymous thief and the Great Detective himself (an upset Doyle stepped in on that one though, and so Lupin’s foe was the old Herlock Sholmes rather than...someone else). Lupin’s story though concerns far more than just thievery; from grounded stories of intrigue and deceit to fantastical searches for occult artifacts, from the bleak battles of the first World War to dramatic hunts for treasure...the only consistent thing in all of these tales is the overwhelming presence of Lupin himself. The story starts when Lupin, then a young boy by the name of Raoul, simply wanted to help his mother. She was a maid in the employ of a rich family...a family who happened to have the infamous Queen’s Necklace in their possession. Lupin’s mother was constantly mistreated and underpaid by her employers, but, quite literally, couldn’t afford to quit—so naturally, her son took matters into his own hands. He stole the Queen’s Necklace effortlessly, and even found a fence to get the funds to his mother in a way that wouldn’t get the authorities involved. It was through this that Arsène Lupin’s legend began—when that boy realized he’d done with ease what should have been “impossible,” he died, and in his place would stand a legend.Lupin’s life from that point forward is adventure after adventure. His rivalry with Herlock Sholmes, an encounter with the Blonde Lady, the mystery of the Hollow Needle, the struggle for the Crystal Stopper...these are but a few of the many tales to bear Lupin’s name. His fame though extends far beyond these—Lupin became the very face of the “gentleman burglar,” inspiring countless other thieves, real and imagined alike, to walk in the footsteps of a wily showstopping larcenist.Of course, though Leblanc’s writings were framed as real accounts related to him by the thief, there is none who would argue the fact that Arsène Lupin is fiction. However—The year was 1893. Arsène Lupin, barely a young man, had been spending his formative years hopping from one profession to another, learning every kind of craft he could in every place that would take him. But it was while studying under a man named Dickson that Lupin’s course would change somewhat. Dickson, you see, was a stage magician, an expert in close-up illusions and sleight of hand—skills Lupin saw an obvious benefit in learning. He was persistent and doggedly persuaded Dickson until he relented and agreed to mentor him...and then, completely by accident, Lupin uncovered the fact that Dickson was an actual mage. Yet rather than secure the secrecy of magecraft, Dickson chose to pass on what he knew. Lupin never did learn why—partly because Dickson wasn’t forthcoming about it, and partly because, well, Lupin didn’t really question it himself. After all, they say you shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth...and this was a very big gift. Still, he was disappointed to learn that he didn’t have much talent for it all, and Dickson himself wasn’t very accomplished either...but he opened Lupin’s eyes to a whole new world of mysticism. A world in which he would learn about the Throne of Heroes.

One day, Dickson offhandedly mentioned his dismay at the state of humanity, worrying it would soon be incapable of producing any more figures like the Heroic Spirits of old. Naturally, Lupin wanted to know more about such grandiose sounding terms, and proceeded to prod his teacher for more information. And so Arsène Lupin was fascinated. The idea that some people in this world were so lauded that their souls were permanently engraved into the collective consciousness was the most magical thing he’d ever heard, even considering everything else he’d been taught. On that day, Lupin decided that he would become a legend. How hard could it be?

It was some time later that Lupin met Maurice Leblanc, an aspiring novelist. The two became fast friends...and more than that, partners in crime. For Lupin saw that through Leblanc, his idea could become a reality—with his life put to pen, it would become a story that echoes through time, and in return, Leblanc would receive ample writing material. And by recording greater, grander tales, both Lupin’s legend and Leblanc’s fame would continue to rise; the idea of “Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar” would become something much more than a series of stories. It would be the means to immortalize Lupin...and of course, it was for no other reason than to see if it could be done. To Lupin, it was the perfect plan. And evidently, he succeeded.

...There’s just one unforeseen hiccup. The stories of Arsène Lupin, though based on a real man’s life, are remembered as fictional stories—there’s not a single person who’d tell you that he actually existed. This shouldn’t be a major problem. After all, Sherlock Holmes and Henry Jekyll are similar. But Lupin’s exact circumstances have somewhat fragmented the man’s memories—in other words, he cannot remember which of his stories are more based in fact, and which of his stories may be wholly fiction. Perhaps it doesn’t matter, but to him, it’s very important—not because he cares, no! But because Lupin’s infuriated that he never expected such a complication! While he succeeded in the end, the Throne got the last laugh...at least, that’s how he sees it. As an aside, his brain’s inability to parse fact from fiction is why he’ll always see and hear that detective's name as “Herlock Sholmes,” no matter what. It’s like a conceptual curse...

A related issue is that because Lupin doesn’t easily fall into any of the seven standard Servant classes, his already odd existence is made further unstable. He was not a martial combatant, and so cannot qualify for the Knight classes. He had no mount, is not quite a mage, has never been insane, and completely rejects placement under the Assassin class due to its connotations. Lupin only manages to qualify for the strange Faker class...and so, here he is. Something else entirely that could never be summoned under normal circumstances. Lupin doesn’t really seem to care though.

Despite all this being so clearly written out here, Lupin would never easily share it all himself. Why? Simple! It’s so much more fun to leave people wondering!

Despite claiming to have no attachments, Lupin did have a lover...and children. But the former was killed, and he had to separate himself from the latter when he realized how much more difficult he made their lives. And those are but a few of the countless loves lost. But Lupin prefers not to speak of them. Perhaps the way he keeps his Master at arm’s length yet constantly keeps an eye on them at the same time is a result of such complicated experiences.

    Personality
Arsène Lupin is, in a word, charismatic. In a few other words he’s opportunistic, mischievous, and prideful. The man is an irredeemable swindler who hops from one story to the next without an ounce of regret, always thinking about what and who he can use to further his goals. He’s totally selfish and doesn’t do anything at all unless he stands to gain from it, and whenever it just might seem like he’s growing a conscience, it’s a calculated ruse meant to evoke goodwill and pity from others. Arsène Lupin is a terrible person who never has and never will truly care about the people around him.

...Well, all that’s what he’d want you to believe, but it isn’t exactly far from the truth either. Lupin really is just awful. A scoundrel who lies without hesitation, a cheat who steals with impunity...what else could you call a person like that? Yet to Lupin, being perceived in this way is an absolute benefit. If people believe he’s nothing more than a heartless villain with no connections of any kind, then in their minds he becomes capable of anything—he is the perpetrator of any crime, the mastermind behind any scheme...but of course, there’s also the fact that if Arsène Lupin has no one, then only he is put at risk. It is in this way that Lupin’s dishonesty extends even to those he wishes to protect. By propagating this uncaring image of his, he ensures that no one will rely on him, no one will put themselves in danger for his sake, and no one will be targeted just because they are connected to him. That’s the real crux of the matter. Lupin is not only a man fully capable of caring about others, but in life, he did so arguably too often for his line of work...and as a Servant looking back on it all, he considers that to be the most troublesome emotion of them all. This is why Lupin will continue to act as if he is an unfeeling rogue—because in his mind, that is simply easier than the alternative. So he plays the part of the puppeteer, always staying one step ahead even of his own emotions. Make no mistake—while the extent of Lupin’s trickery isn’t always genuine, the trickery itself is done liberally.

Fact is, this is the life Lupin chose for himself, so don’t pity him too much. He steals because stealing is what he wants to do, thinking to himself that it’s only right for him to keep doing it if he’s so good at it. Arsène Lupin is a fundamentally selfish person, though it isn’t like he’s incapable of being selfless—the very reason he first stole in the first place was to support his mother. Lupin will almost always do what’s best for himself first and foremost, but when it involves friends and family, he’ll do whatever he has to for their sake, all the while not letting them know he was involved. He isn’t the type of altruistic person who helps others, but the kind who only helps the people he loves—in that respect, perhaps Lupin is eminently human. For though he is a selfish thief with no regard for the laws and expectations of society, he knows the importance of the human connection all too well. This is why he loves so fiercely even, and especially, when he shouldn’t...and why death repulses him so intensely.

Or perhaps his hatred of death stems instead from all the people he’s lost along the way.

In any case, that is who Lupin is. A man who, in many ways, lives to extremes, who loves life and all the thrills it can offer to him, and who seeks to make a memory out of every moment of it. Because really, the fun is the most important part of living.

"The Holy Grail? Ahh, I’d love to get my hands on one!...Eh? No, no, I have no particular use for it. It’d just be so very satisfying to snatch it away."

    Motives and Attitude
Lupin has no wish for the Grail itself, but seeks it all the same so that he might add another trophy to his vast cabinet—the right to say that he, Arsène Lupin, stole the Holy Grail from six ancient heroes of great renown. Of course, this is while summoned for a Holy Grail War. If involved in the Grand Order incidents, he would not actively seek the Grail precisely because there are so many of them lying around. There’s just no challenge in trying to steal something that the Master already finds in bulk, so he drops the idea and as a result, becomes just a touch more altruistic.

Towards a Master he likes, Lupin is friendly and charming, the very picture of an enigmatic gentleman. They are his co-conspirator, someone he respects as an equal and shares everything with. Yet a conversation would never go on too long. Despite seeming warm and cordial, Lupin holds himself back, never allowing the Master to share too much about themselves and never sharing too much about himself in turn. He purposefully creates situations wherein, if necessary, he can simply walk away with nothing of value lost. To an observer, it seems as if Lupin makes an effort to avoid attachment...or perhaps, this “impersonal personability” is merely his way. Either way, it takes a lot to break past Lupin’s strange veneer...but if one is particularly determined, just maybe, they’d pick up on all the ways he keeps an eye on someone he’s pledged to protect.

If he doesn’t like you though...well, that’s when the gentleman burglar becomes a dangerous foe. He isn’t quite a knife in the dark, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make trouble in other ways, as he’ll do his best to remove himself from an unfavorable relationship ASAP. What Lupin wants out of his contractor is an accomplice, after all—that’s precisely why he calls them “compère” rather than “Master.” So anyone who tries to lord their role over Lupin is immediately on his bad side, as are those who try to upstage, belittle, or take advantage of him. Those people are the kinds of contractors Lupin would relish in ruining before he cuts ties. On the flipside, he wouldn’t abandon a weak or incompetent Master if they were genuinely trying their best, but otherwise, he treats their contract much like a professional relationship gone sour and extricates himself accordingly.

Lupin’s opinion of Chaldea’s Master specifically is that they are a wonderfully naive person who does good for the sake of good...the exact opposite of himself, who does good only for personal benefit. He admires the good nature of a Master who, with no outstanding capabilities beyond sheer iron will, fights for the sake of a world that will never thank them for their efforts, whose people will never give them their rightful reward. Because of this, Lupin gladly fights by their side—after all, while he won’t easily admit it, that rare brand of genuine person is his favorite kind of accomplice. Perhaps he maintains his distance because he’s afraid his two-faced nature will rub off on them.

    Relationships
    Herlock Sholmes
The only man who was ever able to match Arsène Lupin. All of Lupin’s encounters with Sholmes were near the end of the great detective’s life though, so he’s admittedly ecstatic to see Sholmes in his prime. As men of equal intelligence and similar principles, the two believe they could’ve been comrades were they not on opposite sides of the law. However, try as he might to set it aside, Lupin does harbor some resentment over a tragedy wrought by Sholmes’ hand. As such, their relationship with one another is a bit more complicated than it seems at first glance.

...Eh? The wrong name? No, no, there’s nothing wrong here.

"Monsieur Sholmes! Well, well, you’re looking a little younger than when we last met! Hahahah, but, I suppose that makes sense...eh? What do you mean, “I’m saying it wrong?” Ahahaha. Enough jesting, Herlock. I’m trying to be courteous!"

    James Moriarty
As the rival of his rival, Lupin’s overall opinion of Moriarty is positive—but while he admires the professor’s mind, the same can’t be said for his methods. More than that, Moriarty’s palpable evil is a grim reminder that Lupin easily could’ve turned into a much more destructive kind of man. So while they are “friendly,” Arsène Lupin does not dare let himself befriend James Moriarty.

"Ahh, Moriarty...a twisted gentleman, but a brilliant one! If I am to share the role of Sholmes’ rival with any man, I’m proud it is him! Still, there’s a difference between us. That brilliance of his...it is matched only by his propensity for destruction."

    Marie Antoinette

Though he has no personal tie to Marie, he feels a strong sense of gratitude towards her. If she hadn’t gotten wrapped up in the Affair of the Diamond Necklace, it never would’ve found its way into his hands.

"Mademoiselle Antoinette...though it brought you nothing but misfortune, that necklace made sure a good woman lived a good life. Merci beaucoup."

    Edmond Dantes
The protagonist of The Count of Monte Cristo, a story Lupin liked so much that he once used the titular island’s name as an alias. He read the man’s tale over and over, greatly admiring his determination, intelligence, and wit. Lupin is amazed that a man he’d thought fictional was actually a real person...and all at once, is also aware of how silly that comes off, considering his own situation.

"Oho...the Count himself?! It’s not often that I’m starstruck, but to think he would become a Heroic Spirit as well! I suppose we’re not too different, he and I, no? I wonder if he’d mind me picking his brain sometime..."

    Robin Hood
Lupin admires Robin Hood’s creed, even if he could never live by it himself. Though he makes a show out of trying to talk Robin into more selfish exploits, he’d be disappointed if Robin ever accepted.

“"Steal from the rich and give to the poor.” Most auspicious...yet, I quite like it! There’s much to be said about a man who gives for giving’s sake. But I think we could so much more together...no?"

    Pirates, Outlaws
Towards others who are “like” himself (those who steal from others for their own gain), Lupin almost automatically shows a measure of understanding and respect. Yet he also believes that as a “professional,” he’s naturally above them when it comes to his reputation as a thief.

"Ahh, pirates! The rats of the sea!...Or is that about seagulls? In any case, I do feel a certain kinship with them. Like, ah...twice-removed cousins!"

    Artists, Writers
Lupin is an ardent admirer of their works!...So long as they’re the sort that look good in a collection. That isn’t to say he doesn’t truly value art, but the exact opposite—as a connoisseur, he’d naturally desire the best of it all for himself.

"Impressive, impressive! The Great Wave is the centerpiece of a great many collector’s hoard, so I expected nothing short of greatness when I learned you were hanging around...yet your masterful strokes, well...they are truly enthralling. Now is that enough blatant flattery to get a copy for myself?"

"Heroic Spirits who were authors, eh? That makes sense...after all, there’s power in stories. Now if only they’d let me “borrow” their manuscripts..."

    Gilgamesh
"That gaudy King of Heroes certainly dislikes me, doesn't he? Though, with how tantalizing that treasury is...hahaha, he's right to be cautious!"

    Carmilla (Summer)
"Excuse me, mademoiselle...I fear you're infringing upon my gimmick. E-Eh? What do you mean, "released first?""

Lupin’s anomalous existence and inability to be assigned to any of the seven standard classes mean it’s unlikely he’d ever be summoned for a normal Holy Grail War...or even an aberrant one, for that matter. After all, a Heroic Spirit outside the bounds of most summoning systems? Well, such a thing should be impossible. Yet here it is. Lupin clams his abnormal class container doesn’t impact him in the least, but it’s clear that his Spirit Origin is somewhat weak and unstable. If summoned for a Grail War though, Lupin claims that he could use his Noble Phantasm to steal the class container assigned to another Servant and tremendously strengthen himself as a result. And he seems so sure of it too...

"Fine, fine, fine! I see how it is. So just this once, I’ll be honest—I envy you more than I’ve envied anyone else. Ahh, liberating! Hm? Oh, it’s simple. You’re beyond genuine, and it’s as infuriating as it is charming. I like to think that in another life, I could’ve been such a person...but on second thought, I really am perfect as is, aren’t I? Hahaha...anyway, that’s all to say...so long as you keep being so genuine, I’ll stick around. How does that sound, mon compère?"

    Comments
Lupin might just be one of the strangest, most storied fictional characters I’ve ever read about, right next to Herlock himself. So needless to say, I’ve struggled so much exactly because of that! I’ve known exactly how I wanted to characterize and interpret him, but getting it all down was a huge trouble, because I don’t want to muck up a character I think is so genuinely interesting! In the end though, I finally got him to a place I’m really proud of. I also had such a fun time making his kit and figuring out what he can do (I didn't really need to make any Skills for him either, which in this case is a plus—making Skills is mega fun, but it's always convenient when what's already there perfectly fits with what you're going for). Not gonna lie, I'm especially patting myself on the back for the fatal flaw of Yours is Mine. I did have to basically make up what the calling card does, since it's just a funny Summer Carmilla skill in-game, and I'm pretty happy with what I thought of there, too.

In particular though, the huge liberty I took with such a small part of Lupin’s story is probably my favorite thing. Dickson is genuinely not even a character in the novels, just a throwaway line in this litany of possible backgrounds for Lupin that a judge reads off. I wanted to add some spice to the “is he or isn’t he real?” schtick that basically all the characters from novels have, and when I figured out how I wanted to do it, I couldn’t wait to share it with people! So with all that being said, I hope this was as much fun for you to read as it was for me to write. Definitely feel free to tear me apart if it wasn't though.

Arsène Lupin: I... honestly don't have anything to say about him, which is odd for me.
I like his NPs, his Skills are good, and the history is an interesting take on him, but appropriate considering Holmes's own questionable realness. It's just... I don't know. I think it's the presentation. There's nothing to really pop out at you but Lupin chiming in, and even that feels like a bit much. It's not as much writing as some people put into their Servants wordcount-wise (myself included), but it 'feels' long, if that makes sense. Excess without style in presentation (which is ironic, considering who it's about) . Man, that sounds pretentious. What I mean is like the Motives and Attitude section existing or how Lupin speaks while also describing the relationship between him and the other Servants. It all feels like a bit much while not having the presentation to make it palatable.
Apparently, I had a lot more to say than I thought. I just needed to start writing it. I will say I like him on the basis that he's what I would have expected from a Lupin Servant and more with that backstory, but the back of my mind is nagging me that there should be something more. I don't know. I'm weird and have weird tastes.
I'm into the Carmilla bit, though.

Like Morg said the sheet is not bad, it just feels than it is or should be. The core of the sheet is actually pretty good, the fluff around it just makes it a bit tedious. condensing it would do wonders.
Like the motives and attitude section is a part of the past, barely anyone still does this because it is part of the Personality section and too long personality sections are not something i personally enjoy, but I am bad at making them myself so take my opinion with a grain of salt. But imo the best way to convey the personality of a Servant is outside the actual personality section. Some can do this with just some quotes like you did, some do this entirely in the Lore/Background section because their story tells us the best who they are if the actual basis for the character is deep enough or you can build one like Morg does. Some can do this entirely with the Relationships part.

    Class Skills
God’s Resolution --- A Class Skill of the Ruler class and is the privilege of the Ruler presiding over the Holy Grail War. However, fundamentally unused as Melek Taus is unlikely to be summoned into a Holy Grail War, even as a Ruler class. Melek is possibly only able to be summoned due to the extenuating circumstances of the events that take place in the FGO timeline and the FATE summoning system present in Chaldea.
Magic Resistance EX Grants protection against magical effects that can nullify, or rather, evade most forms of magecraft. Melek Taus, already being a transcendental entity from the Age of Gods outrights shrugs off most magics even without the acquisition of this skill. It is likely that only attacks tailored to her on a conceptual level would have any actual effect.
True Name Discernment C+ A Class Skill of the Ruler class where status information such as one's identity, Skills and Parameters are automatically revealed to the owner of this Skill when directly encountering a Servant
Existence Outside the Domain D- Class skill associated with Foreigners. Denotes a being that descended from the void of outer space or exists stringently outside of the human order. While this skill’s parameters are significantly decreased due to Ruler not being within her Foreigner class and using a human as a host to manifest, there is no denying that Melek Taus is ultimately an angelic being appointed by ‘God’ to carry out its duties. This position has given Melek Taus an innate distance from the human order as she exists outside the boundaries of humanity due to her role, even if significantly degraded.
Independent Action A The ability to remain independent even when rejecting the Magical Energy supply from one's Master; the ability that allows for action even in the absence of the Master. Ruler by her very nature acquires this skill. However, this skill in another particular class would be “Independent Manifestation” but it is likely an intentional downgrade on her part as her manifestation into reality without a proper host would likely result in dire consequences.

    Personal Skills
Divine Core of the Goddess B A skill that expresses one being a perfected goddess from ‘birth’. A composite skill that comprises the Skill Divinity, preserves the absoluteness of the mind and the body, repels all mental interference, prevents the body from growth and prevents the figure from change no matter how much calories are absorbed Despite acquiring a human host, Ruler retains their ‘perfect’ angelic body granted to them by God as they are “apart” of God themselves. In Yazidi belief, peacocks also symbolize immortality.
Mor Kirin/Kaniya Sipî A A skill conceptualizing the principals of Yazidi baptism. Mor Kirin (meaning “to seal”) and Kaniya Sipî (“White Springs”). In the hands of the Peacock Angel, a being who is the emanation of God themselves, the holy sacred waters of the White Springs are used upon allies and foes alike and temporarily “seals” the abilities of those they deem to be unclean. Nevertheless, the seal itself is a prelude to a ‘great blessing’ however, as those baptised by Melek Taus can be seen as nothing short than a boon. This skill is amplified under the effects of Kitêba Cilwe.
Innocent Monster (Iblis) B An attribute possessed by Servants whose true history and existence have been distorted by the monstrous reputations and gossips they accrued across the course of their life and thereafter, without concern for the actual person's will or appearance. Melek Taus has been attributed to many figures such as the god Tammuz from Mesopotamian faith and even to Iblis the Great Evil Djinn of Islamic belief and even the devil themselves for refusing to prostrate themselves to the first man, Adam, when commanded to. In addition to the many misfortunes that Ruler carries out, there are many who view Melek as an evil entity and her followers devil worshippers. It is for this, that the Peacock Angel has retained certain aspects of these misinformed comparisons. However, Ruler doesn’t seem to mind too much and in fact, finds it somewhat amusing.

    Noble Phantasms

I Am The One: Yet I Am Many
    So Hear Me Pray…!!
    The Emanation of God
    Tawûsê Melek
Rank B+ A Noble Phantasm that symbolizes Ruler’s very existence itself. As the first of seven beings created from God’s light. As the first among the archangels and the most powerful, Melek Taus holds an extraordinary power over the physical world and this Noble Phantasm gives her the right to expend this authority. Weakened due to her human host, it is by no means any less effective as it allows Ruler to manifest the abilities of the other Seven Mysteries (“heft sirr” or the archangels) to use at her whim. Granting her partial control over the divine authorities attributed to the other Archangels under Melek Taus' command .

    One who is like God
    The Prince of God
    The Journeyer of God
    The Light of God
    The Scapegoat of God
    The Might of God

These can be seen as Ruler imitating the abilities and traits of her fellow angels but that phrasing would be infantile at best as she herself is literally manifesting said archangels through her body as a representation of the Divine. Of course, as stated, this is significantly less potent due to the degradation of the skill as well as the fact that she can only call upon one at a time and isn’t something that can be used in quick succession.

It Is I Who Determines Blessings and Misfortunes
Let us turn the Pages of Revelations!
    The Book of Illumination
    Kitêba Cilwe
Rank A++ It is stated in the words of Yazidi faith that there was once a book.

This book's purpose was simple. The allocation of responsibilities left to the angel by God itself. Blessings or misfortunes were under its purview. The First Man, Adam, onced asked the mighty archangel, “O’ Lord archangel, why must we too suffer misfortune? Why must we live in fear of adversity and yet be in bliss of your favor?”

The entity looked upon the human, and replied, “You, who was created from Dust, have no place to question my choices, as I am of the Divine itself. Your role, is to simply accept them as they are”

This is the underlying message of the Yazidi’s book of faith. It is in fact, one of two books presented within the religion, the other being the Meṣḥefa reş, the Black Book. However, both ultimately serve the same purpose as core texts in Yazidi religion. In the eyes of Melek Taus however, it an expression of her power itself and her dominion over “blessings and misfortunes”

The Noble Phantasm allows for any attack or “misfortune” on her and her allies to be redirected to “somewhere else” leaving only “blessings in its wake” .It doesn't disappear however, but simply “changes” targets. This can be used in the opposite as well if Ruler so deems it. Taking upon misfortunes and redirecting the “blessing” elsewhere. With the use of Kitêba Cilwe, Ruler can also increases the probabilities of misfortune or blessing befalling a location or individual and serves as a synchronous ability in relation to her skill, Mor Kirin/Kaniya Sipî.

Nevertheless, the abilities of Kitêba Cilwe are only active as long as the book, or rather the Noble Phantasm is active and despite having Independent Action, it still requires quite a bit of mana to maintain once activated so the use of a Master is required in most cases.

Praise Me, Worship Me For I Am the First Among the Seven of God
I Am The One Who Governs Worldly Affairs!
    The Sur of God
    Derbaskirina Tirşikê
Rank --- (Translated as, “The Passing of the Torch”)

In the Yazidi faith, It is said that God created the universe. In its Infinite Light, this God would create seven Angels to help maintain it’s creation. The First among the Seven was the leader of these Angels. The one known as Melek Taus.

God said to the Angel, “O’ First Among Firsts, ye who governs the sublime, You are the ruler and Lord on the Earth”

And thus, God the compassionate, bestowed upon the angel the seven earths and the Throne of Heaven to rule as they pleased.

This Noble Phantasm is conceptualized into Ruler’s very being. A crystallization of the very act of God “passing the torch” of ownsherhip and rule of the World to Melek Taus and ‘Seven Mysteries’ to rule over Creation.

This Noble Phantasm merely reenacts this event. Through this, Melek Taus gains “ownership” over the World. In layman’s terms, she becomes God of the Earth for she is God. Thus firmly ruling over and guiding over humanity as she sees fit once and for all time as the one who rules worldly affairs.

Of course, such a Noble Phantasm is all but incapable of being used. Such power granted to an Heroic Spirit or even Divine Spirit would never be permitted to be used, even in the event of the Incineration of Man and the Human Order Revision.

This is a different story however if Melek Taus were to self-manifest as a possible Evil of Humanity.

If this ability were to manifest, then Melek Taus herself would recreate the Human Order in her image, becoming the new pseudo “will of the Planet”. However, despite how insurmountable this appears to be. If one were to deny Melek Taus’ right of authority and rule of Earth by degrading her very divinity on a conceptual level as an Angel of God and it’s representative, then one could find the means to fight back.

    Lore

    Biography/Lore
    Melek Taus was the first.

Wielder of the Knowledge of the Sublime and the head of the Divine Triad left by God.

God first created Tawûsê Melek from his own illumination, his Divine light, and the other six archangels were created later. God ordered Tawûsê Melek not to bow to other beings. Then God created the other archangels and ordered them to bring him the dust from the Earth and build the body of Adam, the First Man. Then God gave life to Adam from his own breath and instructed all archangels to bow to Adam. The archangels obeyed, except for Tawûsê Melek.
God would ask why would the angel, his First, refuse to bow.

In answer to God, Tawûsê Melek replied,
“How can I submit to another being! I am from your illumination while Adam is made of dust.”

Then God praised him and made him the leader of all angels and his deputy on the Earth. In reality, God did this as a test. God had instructed his angels to bow to no being. So when asked to bow to Adam and thus refusing the order, had followed God’s original mandate. Proving that Melek Taus was worthy.

However, this would eventually spurn scorn. In later tellings of this myth in other religions, Meleks’ refusal to bow before Man was seen as sacrilegious. “How dare they refuse to acknowledge God’s command?” Ties to Melek and the devil and evil djinn Iblis would become prevalent and almost indistinguishable from the Peacock Angel. Violence and persecution towards her followers over the centuries as “devil worshippers” and she as a symbol of “evil and wickedness”. A subsequent rejection by humanity itself.

Of course, such opinions did little to affect Melek Taus and their duties. It does little to affect their role in guiding worldly affairs.

“The opinions of mere Dust has no bearing on me, the Divine First, appointed by God”

However, Melek Taus’ closer ties to the Abrahamic faiths and other myths has affected her existence in very minute and significant ways and thus, something she has learned to accept as a result.
Ruler’s views on humanity can be summoned up as, “inferior in every way but still worthy of her rule”. After all, while they may lack the supremacy that she and her fellow angels have, they are still creations of the Heavenly Father and are thus deserving of her Divine protection. A relationship of one who is responsible over another, a lesser. A love “out of obligation” but no genuine affection.

Having said this, she can appreciate humans who find meaning and gratitude in both her blessings and misfortunes that she bestows. “Ones who are capable of overcoming my misfortunes are worthy of my blessings” as she would say.

In the event of the Human Order Revision of Fate/Grand Order, Melek Taus is summoned due to extenuating circumstances as a pseudo-servant with her host being Hishiri Adashino, an officer of the Department of Policies within the Clock Tower, which typically serves to regulate and, if necessary, punish mages in violation of Clock Tower rules.

The human host, while not being completely compatible, was suitable enough for Melek Taus’ purposes and it seems Melek is predominantly in control.
    ------------------------------------------------
Melek Taus is a central figure in Yazidism/Sharafadin religion found predominantly in Northern Iraq and is claimed by the Yazidi peoples to be close to 6,000 years old, if true it would make it among the oldest and first monotheistic religions in the world.

A being who’s been associated with many figures and legends over time, ranging from Iblis, Satan, Tammuz and Gabriel of Judeo-Christian origins.

    Personality
Majestic and sublime, malicious and baleful. Beautiful and vivacious. These are words that can describe the existence that is Melek Taus. A domineering personality who views both humans and a Master as innately inferior, even those who carry divine blood is nothing more than, “Mere dust with a gimmick”. Though she looks down upon humans, given as she was summoned to help against the Human Order Revision, she is willing to cooperate and come to the aid of others.

However, despite this cooperation, an air of danger surrounds her almost alien existence. The cold chill of fear and the rising of the hairs for those in her presence. Is it this merely her divine nature at work or something more nefarious at play? A creature of both life and death, it may or may not be the actual Melek Taus of Yazidi belief, at least not in her entirety; it is most certainly powerful and dangerous regardless.

    Interactions

Summon: “To think I would be summoned into such a state. Ah, but oh well, it is merely temporary after all. Greetings O’ Son of Adam/Daughter of Eve. I am Melek Taus, Ruler of the Sublime, Divine First of the Seven and the one appointed by God. Calling one inferior such as yourself is demeaning to not only me, but shows you lack proper respect. So I will merely refer to you as “Contractor”. Now, come along, little dust, let us deal with these loafers who’ve decided to settle and make a ruckus on my World.”

    Miscellaneous dialogue:

Bond 1 - “Listen well, little dust. I shall be gracious and give you a piece of advice: It is not Man’s place to question my blessings or my misfortunes. Only to accept them for what they are. You’d do well to remember that, Child of Adam.”

Bond 2 - “Hmmm, what was that? You ask why I am referred to as the “Peacock Angel”? How inane, isn’t this obvious? It is that the Peacock are symbols of beauty and immortality. A representation of the Sublime itself. Perfection incarnate. It is why I was made in the image of thus, by the Creator as his First.

…Huh. Why am I not called the Peafowl Angel? Peahens? What are you talking about? Have you gone delusional from being in my presence? Peacock is obviously how you say it. Repeat after me: Pea. Cock. …Hmm, why are you giggling now?”

Bond 3 - “Tell me, Child of Adam, you have endured great misfortune as of now. But also great blessings that came as a result of it. Are you not grateful for that even if you had to suffer? …No, neverminded. Do not speak. I already know your answer.”

Bond 4 - Blessings and misfortunes. A blessing is to receive what one wants. A misfortune is to receive what one does not want. You humans often ask where do blessings and misfortunes come from? Many humans attribute that to me and other false deities however, it will say that is not completely the truth. They either come from other people or from a person’s own wrong doings. In the very end, a person receives blessings and misfortunes due to their own thoughts and actions. I merely actualize those two dynamics as a reality. Quite the interesting dynamic, isn’t it, little dust?

Bond 5 - “Hmm, why didn’t I interfere with the Incineration of Humanity. Why should I have? It seemed that Solomon boy had everything under control in the end. Though if he had died I suppose I might have stepped in. That being said, this Alien creton who proclaims itself a God is an affront to both myself and Father’s name needs to be taken to task. It is why I answered a call from a lesser being such as you. Furthermore, If I had independently manifested, well, let us keep that to ourselves for now.

Bond 6 - “My, you have come quite far, haven’t you? It’s impressive for one of your status. My Creator once asked us Angels to bow to you and I denied him as my supremacy is all but apparent and it still is. However, it seems I underestimated you humans at times. You too, are still creations of Father after all and it shows. It seems you are indeed worthy of my blessings. Come now, Son of Adam/Daughter of Eve, continue to show the gifts Father bestowed upon you and I shall continue to watch over you”

About the Holy Grail: "For what need would I need such a trinket? Did you not hear who I am?"

Ishtar: “Oh, yes. You. I do recall those humans somehow mixing me up with that Tammuz boy sometime ago. Personally, I don’t see the resemblance. Besides, it is a divine fact that peacocks are better than sheep.”

Tamamo Vitch: “My, my, well aren’t you an interesting sight. So this is what a fledgling Beast manifests itself as. It is sufficient enough I suppose, although I would have gone about it differently. Also, your continued disdain and rampant killing of humanity is understandable but unneeded. It is I who rules over them and they are still Father’s creations. I suggest you watch yourself, little fox.”

Gabriel: “Ah, well if it isn’t my ‘other self’. Yes, you have the right of it, they are quite miniscule aren’t they? …Huh, muscle? When did I ever mention that? I was referring to Man...What, that’s what you were referring too as well? No no, wait, I think we are having two different conversations here.”

Gilgamesh: “It is cute that you think any of this belongs to you.”

Zhuge Liang (El Melloi II): “My, it seems this host of mine is generating a certain emotion when I look upon you. Mild annoyance. How distracting, now it is irritating me. Leave my presence immediately.

First Hassan: “I can feel your stares upon my form, specter. And I know what you are thinking. For your sake and the sake of the Contractor, I suggest you watch yourself and tread carefully.”

Samyaza: How unpleasant. Though this is to be expected from you imitating humans. Don’t you have any pride as an Angel, even blackened as you are?

Micheal: “Ah well, if isn’t Mîkayîl. So the little Dust managed to summon you to this place as well. How is my little brother? What is this? What do you mean you don’t know who I am? Such disrespect towards the Firstborn won’t be tolerated, even for you brother …Huh, who are you calling Lucifer? Do I need to get the paddle again just like old times?”

Lucifer: “How those humans confuse me for you never fail to amaze me. Free will or not, humans are inherently inferior. My refusal to bow was from knowing this very fact and acknowledging Father’s words. You, on the other hand, did so out of a trifling tantrum. How infantile. Regardless, such comparisons matter little. For I am what I am. And I am of the Sublime.”

    Class Skills:
    Devotion (C):
One who never truly found love, even in her husband. Both her rank and likeliness to fall for others would normally be the lowest possible if not for Guilty Angel. Having been popularized as someone who ensured that the one she loved would be protected and guided every step of the way on his journey, she is one who will completely devote herself to someone and do what it takes to see them through danger.

    Object of Desire (A):
The obsessive love of a single man caused him to immortalize her in his greatest work. Since then, she has become a symbol beauty, grace, devotion, and even divinity in some cases. Her presence is enough to elicit feelings of affection and love within men and even some women alongside an overpowering urge to protect her bordering on a mental curse.

    Magic Resistance (EX):
Due to being a woman who reached “perfect salvation”, she cancels out all magic before it can even touch her.

    Personal Skills:
    Guilty Angel (A):
A woman whose entire being was completely overwritten without any regard for who she truly was or her own wishes by a man who only viewed her as a muse to pine after. Due to its effects, Lover is the picture of grace, elegance, goodness, and salvation. It can be said she acts as nothing short of a blessed savior.

Due to this Skill, it is likely that no one will ever know how Lover truly acted in life.

    Beatific Vision (EX):
A Skill only given to those who have “seen the face of God” and reached “perfect salvation”.

This is the mark of a completely incorruptible person, being immune to all mental effects and powers that would even attempt to change her in any way. Even divine or holy powers are no exception unless they have reached a state akin to “being one with God”. It is this Skill that gives her such high Magic Resistance.

    One Who Guides (A):
Skill denoting a Servant bearing the legend of a guide of others, including and usually entailing other heroes. A high enough rank in this qualifies them for the Watcher Class.

As one who guided Dante through the final part of his journey and prepared the way for him to reach that point, she is one who is extremely capable at seeing herself and others through perilous situations to the other side.

    Noble Phantasm
La Vita Nuova: A Poet’s Blind Obsession (B)
    Anti-Unit

A Noble Phantasm created from the collection of vaguely biographical poetry about his experiences with love centered around Lover recounted and exaggerated from the moment he saw her till her death.

Acting similar to a certain bard’s First Folio, it is the ability to “retell” a target’s story from her perspective. Dante retold what little he actually interacted with her into a pining love story where she was the centerpiece. Whether or not events unfolded as he said or he actually felt those things in those moments are irrelevant. It was his retelling from his perspective, and he could recount it however he wanted.

This Noble Phantasm is only usable once not the True Name, but the Class Name of a Servant is known. Having the True Name works as well but is not required. From that alone, Lover is able to delve into their soul and trap them in a retelling of their life. A retelling in the sense that it is told from Lover’s perspective, and the story and events within are changed to match her perception of them as a being that “saw the face of God”.

The Noble Phantasm does not “inflict despair” as the bard described his own, but “embraces love”. Her retelling will paint and reimagine tragic events, mundane occurrences, and random acts of kindness in the light of love, each act a step along the path to realizing that wonderful ideal. As it goes on, it will begin to supplant the original memories with this new retelling, warping the Servant as it does to one who has experienced only love even in the most despicable and horrid of lives.

The purpose of this Noble Phantasm is… unclear. Its results differentiate between Servants. Inhuman ones are generally affected less, insane ones run the whole spectrum from being completely mollified to the point of total pacifism to finding even greater motivation, and sane ones usually are similar to the insane ones only to less extremes. Still, Lover continues to use it, saying that sharing love is one of her purposes.

Paradiso: The Nine Celestial Spheres (A)
    Anti-Humanity (Concept)

A manifestation of Lover guiding Dante through Paradiso to see God. Rather than some form of attack capable of wiping out all of humanity, it is actually a conceptual barrier that completely rejects the concept of humanity.

Perceivable only as a starry expanse full of distant planets and grand forms of light, nothing and no one that is not of holy origin can enter or impact the field or those within. It also has the effect of allowing Lover to commune with “God” and gain knowledge that should otherwise be impossible. While there surely are angelic beings residing within, they do not interact with anyone within nor does Lover call to them aside from her creator.

The only requirement this Noble Phantasm needs is for Lover to have the object of her affection present with her. If she has none, this Noble Phantasm is completely locked out.

    Lore
Beatrice di Folco Portinari was a woman time should have forgotten. Not in the negative sense, oh no. On the contrary, it’s simply because, while beautiful, the woman did nothing of note and simply lived as many others did back in her time. Daughter of a banker and married to another banker because she was told to, a simple woman without any earthshaking aspirations or ambitions nor the will to see them through.

However, God above must have seen something in her because she crossed paths with and became the great obsession of Dante Alighieri. From one time seeing her when he was nine, he was so enraptured by her that he couldn’t get her out of his mind. This was worsened when he actually met her nine years later. Beatrice saw him as no more than a stranger, but she was like the brightest star in the sky to him.

Though he viewed her an object of his pure love, she was truly nothing more than a muse to him. An artistic inspiration for him to lay his own ideas and thoughts upon. He expounded upon his ‘love’ for her in La Vita Nuova and made her his primary goal as well as devoted love in The Divine Comedy. She reflected everything he thought the perfect godly woman should be, orchestrating a false relationship and perception of someone he only met twice in his life.

And yet, this is how she is remembered. Even aware of these facts, she is still perceived and known only through Dante’s distorted philosophical and obsessive view of her. One can assume though that the person Beatrice was doesn’t mind being remembered or summoned this way just as she didn’t mind the strange man she met one day on a walk.

    Personality
Beatrice can be described more as a caricature than a true person. She exemplifies everything she represented to Dante and that is all. Pure, graceful, godly, devoted, loving. The picture of a perfect holy woman without flaw, sin, or ungodly/human desire. A being like an angel descended to human form full of nothing but the most holy of intentions.

Because of this, she can be seen as very flat, or maybe one-note, in terms of personality. Never malicious or unkind, never breaking the serenity she always exudes, and never really seeming human despite being such. The most strangely human thing about her is her fixation on love. Love to her is one of the most beautiful and holy things to ever exist, and watching others show it, search for it, and obtain 'pure' love is one of the things to bring her the most joy.

As she did in The Divine Comedy, she sees her master as yet another person she is tasked with leading through a perilous journey, and one she grows to love with ever step they take towards their goal. This love can be called romantic, but there is nothing physical about it. In fact, even mentioning those aspects seems to be the only thing that can fluster her, as 'pure' love in her mind is something truly ethereal and reachable only beyond the physical. This can be attributed to how Dante portrays his own love for her as well as her own characterization in his stories.

She has no wish for the Grail. If she and her master were somehow to reach the end of the war, she would simply wait for his wish and fade away, having done her duty and seen the one she loved to the end of their journey.

    Relationships
Dante (Voyager): I am sorry, but it seems I can not guide you as I once did.

Medb (Rider): Beatrice has become a frequent target of Medb's teasing. Beatrice is always seen as going beet-red at the start of almost every conversation with her or any mention of the woman.

Iron Apega: Such twisted yet pure love. I am not sure how to deal with you.

Kiyohime (Berserker): What you hold is not love. It is obsession. ...Why does it feel familiar?

Salome: A horrid woman with a horrid love.

    Brynhildr (Lancer): Yet another example.

Kundry: So you are responsible for her warped senses.

Abel (Avenger): Are there none here who understand love?

Genievre (Faker): ...It seems some do.

Olwen: We are very similar. If only you were not a pagan, I might've been able to guide you to Him as well.

    END: E
    AGI: D
    MGI: B
    LCK: B
    NP: A

    Class Skills:
    Camouflage (B+):
A man who took on different identities and constantly conned others to remain unknown and slip away at a moment’s notice as well as being more greatly remembered by his alias than his actual name, Faker is a master of concealing his true self.

At this rank, he can normally only change how his Class and Parameters are seen, but reputation for changing his name allows him to change how his True Name appears to even Rulers unless they possess an equivalent rank in True Name Discernment. This effect is nullified when his Noble Phantasm is completed.

    Presence Concealment (C):
Hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. The rank of Presence Concealment drops considerably when preparing to attack.
Would be higher if manifested in the Assassin Class.

    Territory Creation (A):
While typically a Caster Skill, Faker possesses it due to his legend. Allows for the construction of a hotel, allowing the full utilization of the abilities of his Noble Phantasm.

    Personal Skills:
    Aptitude for Slaughter (Tools) (B):
Not a fighter, this Skill only works on those unaware of him due to Presence Concealment or those already within his Noble Phantasm. Any tools he uses under these conditions become equivalent to B rank Noble Phantasms.

    Surgical Procedure (A):
The capability to apply surgical repair to others.

Though more familiar with dissection, Faker is still trained and more than capable of performing medical procedures and surgeries, even more competent than in life thanks to his ability to use magical energy to aid him.

    Human Anatomy Understanding (B):
All actions intended to heal through Skills, Magecraft, etc. are improved. One is able to target enemy vitals with precision, and all damage inflicted is increased. In addition, all damage received by the user is fairly reduced.

A surgeon and one who dissected almost all of his victims to sell their organs and skeletons, he is one very familiar with the human body and the valuable areas of it. While he’d normally be more cautious as not to damage them to sell later, he can’t sell the organs of Servants, so he’s more likely to use this knowledge in combat.

    Noble Phantasm
World's Fair Hotel: The Murder Castle (A)
    Anti-Army

Once a territory has been established, Faker is able to create his hotel where he carried out the majority of his murders. That is, he’s able to create the concept of his hotel. Its reputation and exaggeration over the years alongside the addition of now being magically designed to his whims, the hotel he makes is the concept of “a maze-like building designed solely for killing”.

While originally only having three floors, this hotel that appears to only have three on the outside has a possibly infinite number within. The materials Faker requires to create the initial hotel and more floors are victims from whom he can harvest resources from and ‘sell’ for more energy. These levels all possess one saferoom within that Faker has access to. They are well hidden, and each have a link to each other.

Each floor is filled with killing rooms, false doors and stairwells, secret panels and partitions, trapdoors, magical effects, curses, airtight chambers, soundproof walling, and even some good old-fashioned traps. Everything that can harm someone is considered an A rank Noble Phantasm, and the building itself has the durability of such a Noble Phantasm.

This Noble Phantasm doesn’t require much magical energy from the master beyond establishing the territory where it will begin drawing it from other sources. The master can feed more into it to install new levels, but those, unlike the hotel, do require a healthy amount of mana, hence why Faker draws in normal humans to harvest.

Once created, Faker will remain almost exclusively within the hotel, allowing it to draw victims and Servants into his domain to face him. The only way to get rid of it is to either find Faker within and kill him or have a weapon powerful enough to destroy it and hopefully Faker.

    Lore
America’s First Serial Killer. The Devil Doctor. H. H. Holmes. A man thought of as the first modern serial killer and one perceived to have killed over two-hundred people while only confessing to 27 and being convicted of one. One who claimed he was possessed by Satan to commit his crimes and was beginning to resemble him as well.

That was all a lie, of course. The Satan part, not the killings. No, he definitely committed those, and he is not ashamed to admit it. He’s already dead, so there’s no need to lie to escape death.

The middle child of five born in a Methodist household, people have speculated he felt smothered by his family and committed several acts of violence as a child that hinted at his future actions. This, like the Devil connection, is also false. He had a normal childhood. Sure, he wasn’t one for his parents’ beliefs, but he wasn’t some crazed sociopath from birth.

He went to school and got married at seventeen, their son being born two years later. He went to university in Vermont before leaving after one year and going to Michigan and entering their university’s Department of Medicine and Surgery. Some speculate this is where he gained a love for cutting people open, especially when, after he graduated, he apprenticed under someone who advocated for human dissection. Once more, false. It simply interested him and had potential for well-paying jobs. He even used his knowledge to defraud life insurance companies to help pay for college using cadavers.

Herman was said to grow violent toward his wife, causing her to move back to New Hampshire, never hearing from him again while still legally married to him. He moved as well to New York before leaving soon after when a young boy disappeared and he was suspected as responsible. The boy is thought to be his first murder, and his abuse to his wife just a prelude to his future actions. False, at least partially (sensing a trend?). The boy really did just move away as Herman said in his defense, but he did treat his wife that way. She was his to do with as he wished, and if she couldn’t accept that, then he did not need her.

After another case of a child supposedly dying when he was on Philadelphia, he moved to Chicago and bought a drugstore and the empty lot across from it, building what would become the World’s Fair Hotel.

From here, he would begin his killings, but not before being married two more times while still married to his first wife and going through a divorce with his second. The building was designed by himself with the aid of several different unaffiliated construction companies as not to make them aware of what they were helping build.

Killing his tenets and even some of his employees while selling the valuable parts of their bodies and dissolving the rest to remove the evidence, he continued to profit until he killed his employee Benjamin Pitezel in a scheme to collect the life insurance money, a scheme where he also happened to pick up another wife. He overreached, however, when he realized Ben’s children may ruin the plan and killed them as well, not disposing of the evidence properly as he would’ve in his hotel.

After he was caught, he admitted to twenty-seven different death under the pretense that he was possessed by the Devil when he did them and currently, saying his own appearance was shifting toward the demonic. Even so, he was only found guilty of the murder of Benjamin, being hung soon after.

So ended the life of this killer, a man whose motivations are still fairly murky. Why go to such extremes? Was it merely greed, or was he driven by something people don’t know about? Whatever the case, probably the only one who could answer is Herman himself.
“My, you are unwilling to simply accept certain matters. Fine then. The truth.

On my fifth birthday, I was thrown by two of my particularly abhorrent schoolmates into the currently deserted office of our village doctor once they learned of my rather childish fear of what lied within.

I say childish, but it was surely monumental at the time. One could say it still is something that plagues many to this day. However, I find that I must thank them. They locked me within a closet, sending me directly into the arms of the display skeleton within. With plenty of time to consider the situation before me, I found myself becoming more fascinated than repulsed with the lifeless body I found myself entangled in.

If I were to track it back, that would be the moment I became interested in… medicine.

A photographer came to our village, afflicted with lameness. I performed several errands for him in hopes of getting my picture taken. When I returned from an errand, I found him removing his leg, the concept of a prosthetic completely foreign to my young mind and quite disturbing at the time. The man took my picture that day, waving his false leg about and causing me to show a most fearful face immortalized in picture.

Further was my interest in the medical field.

You know I spent my entire childhood savings upon a watch? T’was a cheap object, false gold and false quality, but a shining object within my mind. A treasure, but one that lost its luster as so many things do.

Oh. I should skip ahead? Well, I suppose you are not inclined to listen to what appear to be such trivial details in your mind.

In college, studying in the medical course, I made a friend. One of the few I would allow myself even during my… later years. A Canadian fellow that met his end before my own. Poor man. I am grateful he did not share in the same pain my other associates must have felt at my conviction.

It was during this time I took a summer job at a firm, something necessary to pay my expense. Of course, I still had a healthy portion to keep for myself, but what I remember of that trip that sticks with me is Chicago. Something within that city called to me.

My wife? Whatever would I talk about her for? She has no bearing in this.

After I had graduated, I moved to New York after receiving a letter to teach at a winter school from which I received little profit. Being contacted by my university friend, we developed the scheme to defraud the life insurance companies, which you are already aware of, giving me no reason to recount it to you. I must say, though, that it was quite the work of brilliance and improvisation.

The children? Well, I can assure you I had nothing to do with their death and supposed death. Now, would you kindly cease your interruptions. I will tell you all that is necessary for you to know.

I traveled to Chicago where I first used the name Henry Howard Holmes. It was there I purchased a drugstore and was able to make a profitable living for the first time in my life that I enjoyed. Of course, such is the envy and opportunity of others, and my landlord saw fit to increase my rent to match my new earnings.

This forced me to purchase, at great expense to myself, the empty lot across from my store whereupon I, of course, had a building constructed. Such actions drove me into debt from which I would struggle to extract myself.

I met a man. A carpenter named Benjamin Pitezel. A dreamer and not one for excessive conversation, but his quiet demeanor was one I found favorable. A man very much like myself, beaten by the world as I had been. Shame about his demise. He worked for me six years faithfully, and I found it quite tragic.

Hm? Oh, yes. I was the one who killed him. I was also forced to take the lives of his children. Unfortunate business, that. Certainly moreso due to it being my… I suppose downfall is the correct term.

We will adjourn that for the moment. I see you are growing tired of my ‘ramblings’, so I will endeavor to lead us forward in a more rapid manner.

I expanded my business, increasing my income and, yes, my hotel as well. The bottom floor was where I placed several of my different business with the second being my… well, I’m certain there are those who would classify them as ‘torture rooms’, but they were merely just a means to attain more product. The third floor was created for more rooms as the second, but I unfortunately was unable to complete it.

Yes, during this time I was active in… luring is such a vulgar term. Many guest’s came to stay to be near the World’s Fair, and they, as with my employees, were unmissed from the proceedings or many of their families. Sadly, we return to Ben.

To place it in simple terms, I wanted the money for myself. Frankly, I deserved that money. I have worked too hard to simply share such a profit with another, even if he was one I had grown fond of.

Perhaps it was punishment for my… No. Greed isn’t the right word. For my refusal to adhere to conventions that would lower myself despite all my effort. Whatever the case or wording, they discovered them because, out of respect for his years of service, I left their bodies relatively whole rather than disposing of them as I usually would.

So, I attempted to play he fool when the police visited themselves upon me. My own family’s beliefs had given me a fairly effective excuse to fall back on. Possession. Disbelief driven by insanity. Unfortunately, I was too intelligent for my own well-being. Everything was too well designed, too well crafted for a truly insane man driven by a belief in the devil.

I held on to the defense though in perhaps some vague hope it could sway them to simply place me in an asylum. I confessed to several of my acquisitions all while claiming possession, but they did not believe me. Likely because I did not believe myself.

So, I was hung, and only nine days from my birthday. Truly, if God exists, he chose that to taunt me.

Now that you are fully aware of my life, will you end your pointless searching? I have an appointment I do not wish to miss.”

    Personality
Herman is a refined individual who speaks and acts in an educated and learned manner. He does not hide his pride nor his less desirable traits, only altering how they're perceived by others. Pride becomes self-assuredy and an understanding of one's limits. Greed is the knowledge that wealth is something required and those who gain it have a right to use it. Manipulation is understanding what people desire and providing it in exchange for his own, as with any transaction. Murder is acquisition of resources.

Despite this, his charisma is more than capable of leading people on to fulfill his wants. Being a master conman and a fairly successful entrepreneur, he is more than adept at using his words in such a manner. A cold, heartless businessman to his core, Herman doesn't care who is affected by anything he does. As a man that values his own desires above others, he will remove any obstacle in his path to reach them.

Still, there are some exceptions. The man is no sociopath, nor is he someone completely devoid of humanity. He genuinely cares for his parents and siblings and enjoys the company of others. The latter of which usually for what they can do for him, but also because the world is truly lonely. He tried to alleviate that with his wives, but his own personality and desires simply don't mesh with almost anyone, and that included them. So, he bears a hole that seems it will never be filled. One that allowed him to perform the acts he did in life.

His wish for the Grail? Would endless wealth be enough? Other than that, Herman truly cannot think of anything.

Jack the Ripper: I find it almost insulting to be compared to a senseless killer such as yourself.

Hassans: Killing for your god. Religious zealotry. Not even my parents had this level of delusion.

Gilles de Rais: I have been called the 'Modern Bluebeard' before. Having met you, I find it more insulting than I already did.

Gilgamesh: All that wealth, and you do nothing with it. A true waste.

Gabriel Nicolas de la Reynie: Fortunately, you were not the one investigating myself. Perhaps I would have been caught sooner if one of your drive had led them.

The Halifax Slasher: Killer? Don't be absurd.

Jim Jones: If I was not foolish enough to accept my family's religion, what ludicrous mental process led you to believe I would take part in yours?

Giulia Tofana: You were doing so brilliantly, but it seems that history oft repeats itself.

I don't know why I started writing and researching this Servant immediately after finishing Beatrice, but I did. At least it knocks him off my list.

I probably need to brush up on my serial killer knowledge, but who is he faking here? Is he using a false name or something? Aside from that, I love the murder hotel NP, and your first-person narration of his lore really sells me on his general creepiness.

Edit: whoops nevermind, I skimmed past the camouflage explanation, guess it works now.

Goddammit, I've been too busy focusing on the contest that I failed to notice that both H. H. Holmes and Arsene Lupin got sniped... Both Servants I had in the drawing board and both literally just better versions of what I had... although I can't say that Faker is a better class for him than Assassin. I get the justification, I do, but Mata Hari is an Assassin too. Kinda feels like it could have just been a tweaked Presence Concealment... I've always thought of Faker as a class specifically for clones, replicants and knockoffs riding the coattails of OTHER Servant's myths, or whose legends revolve entirely AROUND mimicry. Holmes just isn't that, he's a famous killer. Everything else, though... Spectacular.

I guess my complaints about Faker kind of extend to Arsene too? But you've provided a very good justification as to why that would be, so I guess that's a non-issue. Ironic that both are Fakers that I'd had drafted as Assassins... Fun NP, definitely more interesting than the one I had that was basically a clone of Holmes's and that you've basically wrapped up nicely in the Calling Card skill anyway. I kinda get where Morg is coming from but I do really dig this one nonetheless, it's pretty fantastic stuff for your debut. Welcome!

(Mainly, my complaint is that I didn't get to use the perfect faceclaim I already had stored. But you don't have one, so... You know, I'm fine with handing it over, lmao.)
