    FAQ
    To be extended as needed.
    Submission Guidelines
How many sheets can I submit?
Two. Also, the votes they receive are counted individually, rather than added up.

Can I submit sheets that I’ve already made prior to the contest?
No. However, you can do a remake of an earlier sheet if you so choose. For example, this instead of this, or this instead of this, or this instead of this.

Can I submit an Alter or a Lily or something? What about a canon character in an alternate class?
If it fits the prompt, sure. Go for it!

Then, besides the prompt, are there any other restrictions I should be aware of?
Mainly, just try to stick to canon compliance when designing your sheet. Most notably, that means no modern fiction Servants. No Spiderman, Cloud Strife, Naruto, etc. Use your best judgement, please.

    Voting Guidelines
    How does voting work?
Each forumite can vote for three sheets, awarding them 3 points, 2 points, and 1 point respectively. The points are added up for each sheet, whoever has the most wins.

    I didn’t make a sheet, can I still vote?
Yes. Any Forum user can vote.

    Can I vote for myself?
No. It's not classy so don't do it.

How Long is the voting period?
One week, following the three week submission period.

    Prompts
    I’ve just won! What now?
Congratulations. The next contest will begin after a month's break. You have until then to think up a prompt. When you have it, PM it to me. Don't worry, I'll remind you if you forget, but make sure to tell me if you can't/don't want to think of a prompt. Then, when our next contest begins, I’ll announce the prompt and we’re off to the races.

What kinds of prompts can I submit?
It’s relatively open-ended. For example, it could be a class, as in our first “Saber” contest. It could be a region or period of history, for example “Greece” or “1800s”. It could also be something like “Alters”. Try not to be too limiting, though. You can have the prompt “France”, but don’t have your prompt be “Marquis de Vauban”. That’s an extreme example, of course, but do try to leave your prompts relatively open to interpretation, for now. Otherwise, you won’t get much participation, and that’s no fun!

Are there any specific restrictions for prompts I should know about?
As of right now, only two. For the time being, I’m choosing to ban the prompts “Joke” (promotes low-effort content) and “Modern Fiction”. It’s possible that these will be usable again in future, but not in the short term.

    Monthly Create-A-Servant Contest

    [Old OP preserved for posterity]

Winner gets the most points and also gets to decide the next prompt.

Here's a template I made, modeled off a few of the neater-looking ones in the Create-A-Servant thread. It was made mostly by looking at what people put out on the Create-A-Servant thread as categories and then consolidating it. If you have your own template and want to use that, that's fine. But I think this covers most bases. If your post gets too long, spoiler tags are not a bad idea, though.

...It hath begun! I have at least one Saber-Class Servant in my to-do list so I might actually enter into this, though that depends how much inspiration I can muster...

I'm thinking no, because it's kind of against the spirit of the thing, plus it gives you an advantage because you don't have to worry about the time limit so much.

Although, I do think that a big revamp V2 of an old sheet is probably fine. For example, this instead of this, or this instead of this, or this instead of this. Just doing a grammar edit or adding a sentence or two doesn't really count for what I'm talking about here, it should feel like noticeably different, not like the same sheet but with an extra parapgraph of clarifications and balance changes. Just use your judgement. I'm sure you guys are good at that.

That's what I'm thinking in that respect. Make sense?

Well, technically, the rules don't exactly say you can't~ :/

I dunno if that's really a good idea though, but if your servant sheet is good enough to get votes regardless, then kudos to you.

It does, it does! Unfortunately, it also means I'll have to pass. Maybe a next time. :-)

Alright. Good question though. Probably better to address that sooner rather than later.

I like the idea of making 2.0 versions if they've been done before. Probably a fair policy.

Yeah, or else you'd encounter people like me who will take advantage of any loophole in the rules.

Because playing fair was a tactic invented by the strong to make the weak remain weak.

This is a good start, I have several ideas for Saber... Likely another minor Knight of the Round.
The Act of dozing off in the afternoon is a luxury indeed.
    Coffee would be nice, though.

Probably won't be doing this one (the two I'm working on atm are Rider and Berserker-class, and I have summer classes), but this is great. I'll probably get in on one sooner rather than later.

Saber huh, well I think I have a few candidates for that. I should be able to come up with something in the time limit if I don't procrastinate.

Mm. Got an idea I'll throw together, in a silly mood.

For clarification, should we post them here now or PM them until the voting date?
