Niigata

I was expecting Kagetora visiting a museum about herself (which be really in character for her) but instead we got Kotarou on the Naeba Ski Resort. The Naeba Ski Resort is an area belonging to Prince Hotels and it's exactly what it says on the title. Kotarou was chosen because he's said to have lived there for a while as a Houjou spy in Uesugi territory. Again, very weird that they pick a Kagetora enemy for Kagetora land instead of her.

Aichi

Aichi has Mori enjoying tezuma fireworks at a unidentifiable place. But the people of Aichi generally consider the Nagashima Super Land to be the best place for tezuma fireworks and Nagashima just happens to be the place where Mori fought his very last battle (RIP), so it'd make a lot of sense if that's the place in question. It's sorta nice to see him have so much fun in the culture of the guys who killed him, in the place he died. It says a lot about Mori's personality.

Gifu

For Gifu, we have Holmes in Shirakawa Village with his mystery orb. The roofs of houses in Shirakawa Village have what's called "kasshou architecture", in reference to kasshou prayers, a traditional prayer you putting your hands together in the Holmes NP pose. Now, that's not the only reason why Holmes being in Shirakawa is honestly an amazing meme. I'll just say there is an extremely famous fictionalized version of Shirakawa Village and it's named Hinamizawa Village.

Fukui

This one is my favorite of the set. Yu-senpai on the Toujinbou. The Toujinbou is a set of cliffs, matching how senpai's hobby is trekking off-season (and a place frequently used for suicides, which I guess is also connected to Yu in a way). But there's a for more meme reason for her to have been chosen: another major city in Fukui, Sabae City. Sabae is known as the megane city and touristically relishes on its megane heaven status. 96% of the city's income comes from selling glasses frames and they even have a glasses museum. What sells this post as the best one in the Chuubu set is the quote on it: "Later? I'm going to Sabae. Me and Xiang Yu will be making matching glasses.". I'm desperately wanting fanart of that.

Toyama

It's Skadi on the Snow Corridor. Goddess of snow, giant valley of snow, the connection is impossible to miss.

Ishikawa

Lastly we have Beni-enma watching a gorgeous sunset over the Shiroyone Town Rice Fields, a complex of over 1000 terraced rice pads (precisely, 1004). The association of Beni-enma and food is obvious but there could be another layer with how sparrows contribute to the rice's pollinization idk.
