At the end of this event, the best thing would be seeing how the characters actually are, rather than how Gudako sees them. Like you thought Laurie was Bunyan, but really she's basically Ring-chan. Thought Eva was Raiko? Too bad she's a loli.

Holmes should take a picture while he's there to bring back to Guda at Chaldea.
So there's a manga adaptation of this event, then? Has it been translated to English?
There is a novelization (which is where we got the name of the person Guda is possessing: Rikka Fujima) but it hasn't been translated.
Pfft, of course that would be their name :V

Rikka Fujimar, actually. Awfully fake latino name, not awfully fake Japanese name.
So with just about 90 minutes to go, I hope everyone's gotten their votes in

Found this tumblr post from someone who read the novelization, gives a quick rundown on Rikka Fujimar:

It's just one of those things where it plays on your own biased misconceptions; I think a lot of us will admit to assigning Eva as the mom because of Raikou and Harriet as the sister to Juliet relating to Stheno = Eurayle.
I admittedly missed all but one of those 'did you notice?' moments myself; only one that bugged me to feel something was off was the talk with Eva, questioning why you'd refer to her more formally, than saying that Mother turned in early. XD

I knew the twist ahead of time so kept noticing all the hints toward it. Even in Eva and Harriet's first scene Juliet says "That's my mom and sister" without saying who's who.
Well, this was a fun little event, I wouldn't mind seeing it more like these in the future. Too bad we NA/EU completely miss the whole "let's all solve it together" thing.
Though the actual mystery feels more like a meta-mystery more than anything. The whole twist relied on your knowledge of the servants and Mash's getting the family tree wrong. I guessed the actual motive at first but couldn't figure why Eva killed everyone, then someone pointed out to me the servants didn't match the characters and I decided to re-read chapter 5 and 6 to check the alibis and yeah. Once you switch Eva and Harriet it pretty much solves itself.
So I got the proper culprit, and clue, but the wrong reason behind it, think Juliet and Harriet were just older, not the Eva switch. The only clue I noticed for that was the fraternal twin one.
Though when we talk to Doc when carrying Holmes' body and ask him about Mrs Violet, isn't she mentioned by name anywhere in that conversation? I could have sworn he called her Eva once in there when he was reminiscing about the old days.

This was fun I hope the make another though I just finished reading and maintenance came up. I got the right culprit but it's because I over thought the clues, the Mom was the biggest over thinking, and missed the real answer. Glad I didn't spoil it for myself.
I know what you mean. I quit often miss read things even when I try to pay attention I read "I" in stand of "Mother" during out talk with Eva. If this was an anime dub I bet many would have caught more.
Somebody let me know when it's over so I can read the whole thing in one go. If I hate one thing more than convoluted Japanese mysteries, it's convoluted Japanese mysteries but with cliffhangers.
shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
No more thoughts?
Mystery events are interesting. For it should not be simple enough to be disappoint and not so difficult so as to be aggravating.
Glad to see that despite being two years old, people seemed to enjoy this. I was proud of immediately getting the time shenanigans first time round the moment I saw the full moon in the CG.
While closed circle mysteries can be interesting, those that are too contrived are on the irritating side.
Both times I came to my conclusions mainly because of the gimmick of using servant appearances and the constant obfuscating of twins and mama.
The story is constrained by it being an original story, but having to be on the FGO platform.
Only having FGO sprites to work with, probably led to the gimmick of people using servant appearances. (the reverse of servants playing other roles is already used a lot).
This also led to the weakest part for me. The explanation for this even happening is 'The moon did it'.
I don't think there has been another story event like this in FGO. And of course there are now apparently Chaldea case files light novels.
We may never get to see it, but good stories of this iteration of Sherlock Holmes would be great.
London theme really feels like a Sherlock theme.
