Yes. It is based on the majority vote, not whether you as an individual got it right. If most people guess right then we all get 10 quartz.

Hmm. So after doing the first two chapters, I'm honestly considering waiting until Saturday night's reset - or more likely Sunday morning - to continue the event. I like the setup so far, but I can already tell that waiting days for the next episode in the story is going to kill my interest for it; better to give it the 'Flix treatment and binge the rest of it at this point so that the story stays fresh for me.

The titles of the chapters come from Ronald Knox's "Ten Commandments" for classical detective fiction.

1. The criminal must be someone mentioned in the early part of the story, but must not be anyone whose thoughts the reader has been allowed to follow.
2. All supernatural or preternatural agencies are ruled out as a matter of course.
3. Not more than one secret room or passage is allowable.
4. No hitherto undiscovered poisons may be used, nor any appliance which will need a long scientific explanation at the end.
5. No Chinaman must figure in the story.
6. No accident must ever help the detective, nor must he ever have an unaccountable intuition which proves to be right.
7. The detective must not himself commit the crime.
8. The detective must not light on any clues which are not instantly produced for the inspection of the reader.
9. The stupid friend of the detective, the Watson, must not conceal any thoughts which pass through his mind; his intelligence must be slightly, but very slightly, below that of the average reader.

The premise is very interesting, very worthy of a Golden Age mystery story, but I wish it didn't take so long in between chapters.

• Geez, this kinda scenario belongs in a romcom full of funny faces.
  The cover of arranged political marriage amongst rich 'nobles' is... yeah. Even worse the casual readoption and rearrangement the moment his precious boi is absent. This guy.

Since seeing this reminded me of a few things. Wao. They really obfuscate the twists hard. Only if you pay attention to the tonal oddities and get hung up on them enough to overturn all the ambiguous stuff would you suspect at this point.
