Hmm... To shift away from the Clone a bit.
Heroslayer, I have a question. Shirou pretty much went above and beyond when he started tracing the golem's weapons and I'm pretty sure its going to bite him in the ass pretty hard when everything calms down. Is this going to end up crippling him for a while and to the point of no magic for even longer? Or are we going to have to wait and see?
Also, is there any particular snippet idea or topic you would like to see written?
The Art of Shipping is as profound as it is dangerous; not for the faint of heart nor the weak of will, it makes gods and devils out of us all.
@Old Iron.
Meh. Shirou is going to have more problems then some mild nerve damage by the time this is all over. In case you forgot, he is now running towards Precia with no back up. Who despite her liberal case of the crazies and vague plot convient fatal illness is still quite powerful.

In other words perfectly normal for Shirou.
Spoiler:
Regarding the tracings, is the Jewel Seed even really doing anything? It sounds almost like it's purely Shirou doing all the tracing, so in what way is the Jewel Seed helping/hindering him in his magecraft?
So basically his body is going into overdrive and critical levels so by the end of it we will see nanoha and fate watching a heavily injuried shirou in his hospital bed.
Teasing the Penguin God!
My guess is, with how much more Shiro is doing with his current level of ability then he should, Avalon is too busy keeping him from immediately self immolating due to his magic circuit overclocking to be bothered with doing more then slowing down the process of dieing from over work.
Once the fighting stops recovery of lost capacity becomes possible.

The jewel seed appears to be doing what the resonance effect did to Shirou in UBW- It's taking all the skill and experience of an alternate Shirou (possibly EMIYA) and, for lack of a better term, trying to cram the whole thing into his skull.Regarding the tracings, is the Jewel Seed even really doing anything? Why? Not sure, but personally I think that it's trying to fufill Shirou's wish (to be a hero) by taking the template for heroic spirit EMIYA, and trying to force it onto Shirou all at once- resulting in all kinds of fun backlash as his brain fails to cope with the stress. Luckily Avalon seems to be working to prevent him having a brain aneurysm.
As for the how? It's a plot maguffin, it doesnt need a how.
Of course, it's not my story, so there's like an 87% chance that this is all wrong... Meh
Regarding the clone, well the character is just plain interesting and mostly making his life miserable simply to see how he copes with his inferiority complex and the curses of being the clone of a man who wants to be a hero of justice.
The clone himself is like Shirou; an underdog that can only win battles should the situation is in his favor.
Lyrical days on the other hand, so far Shirou display tracing skills at such an early age of 9 years old. A danger to himself since a blade popped out from his elbow. Really want to see how Precia will face her end after this.
One thing ya need to keep in mind mate. Avalone without Arturia around is just a very pretty sheath.
It should not do anything more than help him heal naturally quicker (so, say instead of having a broken arm and having to wait 6 weeks, his arm is fine in a month) and bolster his immune system (cause he never got sick in the Novel).
Other than that it just made him something to hold swords. That's it.
The jewel seed is bypassing this and giving it juice to work, but it is still not receiving energy from its owner (Arturia), so its healing factor is much reduced.
Then again, that healing factor is likely the only thing keeping the guy alive, but I digress. 8P
The Jewel Seed is doing stuff as is Avalon.
That is all.
