Oh, I love hot drinks HOT. As hot as I can get it without burning my tongue. That and I have an addiction to coffee. Small wonder I can't get much sleep at night. >_>
I realised that Shirou is the one of few people(?) in the TSAB that doesn't have a 'stun mode' to any of his abilities so...
Introducing EXW-101 Incapacitation Blades (EXWIB).
Two short swords based on Chinese Dao, capable of delivering a short high voltage burst on impact with either metal or biological material designed to stun even barrier jacketted mages by consuming a small amount of mana/prana from the user.
Originally designed for Shirou Emiya's use as his magecraft is currently at odds with standard procedure.
However, although the original blades have been proven to pierce the Barrier Jacket of an AA ranked mage with ease, the copies that Shirou Emiya makes due to minute flaws in manufacturing process and 'visualisation' of internal components only appear to be able to punch through A rank Barrier Jackets. However this doesn't seem to deter him from using the copies more than the original.
Note: In occordance with TSAB operational parameters and local law, these weapons are forbidden to be owned/used by anyone other than a certified law enforcement agent. (That includes you as well, Shirou Emiya!) If any TSAB mage is found incapable of utilising the 'safety mode' feature for any reason, copies of this weapon would be supplied to prevent any....unfortunate fatality among law abidding citizens or the criminal element.
P.S: Shirou Emiya, just because you can create as many copies of this weapon as you wish and then dispose of them as you wish doesn't you're above the law, we will find a way of prosecuting you and when we do you'll regret it.
So, what do you guys think? OP, lame or what?

I suppose you mean Falchions? Those'd be called Dao, IIRC.
Fun idea...but what did you mean with the PS? that has me a little bit confused
Uh... it doesn't really seem likely. Stun, barrier breaking, and mana draining? It seems kind of lame and OP.
Not to mention why are they based on Chinese swords when all of the Mid and Belkan weapons so far have been western themed?

-Jack Kirby
The same here. Though it's not only green tea; I also like white tea (not that much of a difference), pu'er, and roiboos, depending on my mood and the time of the day.
That explains the whole thing pretty nicely - liking bitter things is a prerequisite for being an avid tea drinker.
Well, it isn't that bad as an addition to black tea, as sometimes you visit someone and that person makes tea for you, only to make it much too strong and made with boiling water (pretty much every person who has no idea how to make tea simply has some strong black tea for guests); adding sugar and milk to such a culinary abomination is the only way to make it drinkable.
It can be made better by use of formatting, and making it appear more like an official document with comments added by Shirou's commander (or someone like that), but it's not that bad. Pretty amusing, to be honest.
And it doesn't really matter if it's overpowered or anything for as long as it's funny, since you are trying to write a comedic snippet.
“Evil or not, I refuse to accept this 'fate'.”
Spoiler:
The reason for the P.S is that because they're classed as a 'sword' type weapon Shirou can trace them, problem is that it's illegal for anyone who isn't law enforcment to even HAVE them in their possession. So when Shirou leaves TSAB he's supposed to hand them in, problem is of course is that they're stored in UBW.
Basically they're trying to prosecute Shirou for having illegal weaponry, but although it's obvious that he uses them during his freelance period, he 'gets rid' of the physical evidence before he can be tried.
The reason why they're based on Chinese swords instead of western blades because you're not actually meant to stab someone with it, you're meant to get in close and slash them because the swords are basically sharp stunguns- you know the ones with two prongs and you have to have skin contact or something for them to work. Actually stabbing someone with something like that could cause serious damage.
They're really what could be refered to as 'lethal joke weapon' nobody takes them seriously until they get smacked by one.
I think what you wanted to say is that "basically they're telling him that they can't do anything about his weaponry and will leave him alone, but can prosecute him if he abuses the fact that his weapons disappear, because they'll know it was him".
Not only dao can be used for slashing/whacking attacks, but seeing as the bureau would probably base this concept on Shirou's blades to encourage him to use them instead of his own, rather lethal, weapons, I can believe they'd be based on dao.
Not really. "Lethal joke weapons" are things that aren't even weapons and supposedly get used as ones just as a joke, only to be much more powerful than they appeared.

Which naturally means they should be ladle-tasers.
The Hero's failures
The sky was colored an ugly shade of gray, as the cold winter's breath sucked the warmth out of everyone foolish enough to be outside at this hour. A single person could be seen walking the path towards Uminari's graveyard, accompanied only by a small bouquet of white flowers. He moved at a slow pace, his mind obviously somewhere else, as his feet carried him slowly towards his destination: a small gravestone positioned at the far end of the grounds, a small distance away from the graves of the local population.
Even in death Kiritsugu had preferred to remain distant from the people of Uminari, which had been reflected in his final resting place. It bugged the visitor that his father figure had even taken the time to make preparations for his own funeral before his eventual death while leaving his son in the dark until he very end. But in the end he could understand somehow why the man had done it. Kiritsugu had not known when he would pass away, and so he had kept up his mask of the bumbling dad for the sake of his son. There was no doubt that Kiritsugu had loved him as if he had been his child of flesh and blood, caring for the stranger names Shirou almost as much as for his own daughter Illyasviel, even though he never managed to tell her that.
Said Man's daughter was still back on Mid-childa, most likely driving her medical staff insane as she went trough her monthly medical testing. Apparently the latest tests with Reinforce II showed that a unison device could support parts of the girl's deteriorating bodily functions and managed to stabilize several of them during the trails, but the TSAB was a bit reluctant to continue testing after the living grail circuit discovered how much firepower she could really use.
Emiya Shirou shuddered at the image of his sister in the outfit of a magical girl, complete with the explosions in the background.
He suddenly realized that he had already reached his father's grave, and he shook his head to clear his mind as he placed the flowers on the ground.
" Hello Dad. It's been a while---"
--------
"-- You see, there was a small civil disturbance on that planet, so I ---"
Shirou only came here one time every year: on the anniversary of his father's death. It was the day on which he had made his promise and embarked on his path, the promise to uphold his father's dream to become the hero of justice that could save all. And so he came back every year to tell his father of the things he had seen, of the people he had met, of the persons he had saved and of those he had been unable to do. the grave itself couldn't speak back, but a part of Shirou hoped that Kiritsugu was still watching over him, proud of his son who was upholding the ideals he had admired.
" That face. Seeing that nasty face of yours, you saw it too, Emiya Shirou?"
But deep inside of him Shirou knew that it was an impossible dream. his confrontation with the twisted servant EMIYA had forced him to confront the one fact that he had hidden from himself.
"That's right. It's not that you felt guilty for being the only one saved. You just admired Kiritsugu. You wanted to become like him only because he looked so happy when he saved you.".
But even so he had continued walking forwards. Even if his wish of saving people was born from something else, the ideal itself was still worth chasing. Even if the ideal itself was unreachable, the attempt to reach it was not. Even if he was bound to fail, it didn't matter if it was only him that would be hurt in the end.
" ----- And that was even before Subaru and the other of the rescue squad finally managed to break trough that wall. I don't even thing she noticed that her own hair was on fire at that point!"
He laughed for a short moment as he continued to relay his adventured to his father, but soon his voice grew softer with every tale until he was barely whispering. A single snowflake fluttered before his eyes, making him pause, before it was joined by it's brethren as it softly began to snow.
" Dad" , Shirou slowly spoke up after a while, " Can a person who is loves really become a hero?"
-----------
The sight of Emiya Shirou walking in the corridors near Yagami Hayate's office was not an unusual sight. However the sight of an annoyed, perhaps even angry Emiya Shirou was something that made people look twice as he passed by. He walked with a steady pace towards the end of the hallway, clenching several pieces of paper in his fist. Hayate didn't even look up as he opened the door of her office with more force then usual, nor when he slammed down the papers on her desk.
" Explain" The man commanded with a almost neutral voice, his anger barely noticeable as he stood up straight with his arms crossed. In response the officer slowly took the papers from her desk, looked over them for a minute before speaking up again.
" It seems an order has been given by the medical staff to suspend your activities in all sections of the TSAB forces, along with a restraint on the use of TSAB facilities like the training simulator for an unlimited amount of time." She explained with a calm voice. " the later can only be used only when under supervision of an instructor of the commanding officer who signed the order ."
" Which was signed by YOU" the man pressed on, his anger now becoming noticeable. " What is going on here Hayate?"
The woman sighed as she rubber her head, before answering his question. " It is standard protocol to input restrictions when an field officer of freelancer is recorded several times in our medical facilities over a short period of time. Your medical officer has all the right to make a request such as this, and I simply agreed when the request came in a few days ago."
" In other words, you had Shamal put in this request so you could sign it when it needed an officer's approval, locking me out of the system in one quick motion. What the hell are you doing!?" Shirou spat out as he placed both of his hands on the table, staring right into Hayate's eyes.
But the woman stubbornly stared back, as she finally dumped her detached mask, as anger slowly started to fill her voice.
" You have been admitted twelve times for the last eight months, ranging from severe burns, infected lacerations , broken bones, crushed appendages, damaged neural cells and even for a stroke due to abuse of your magecraft! You ask what I'm doing? What do you think you're doing!?"
" I'm helping people!" he angrily replied. " Every time I get hurt it is because it was to save someone. You can't just keep me confined every time I get a paper cut!"
" I will keep you confined until you start taking care of yourself!" Hayate snapped at him. " Until you do I'm keeping your service on hold. Don't think the church will give you anything to work with ether, Carim made sure of that.
" Damn it Hayate, we talked about this already," Shirou growled as he realized what this was really about. " I'm not planning on backing down on my ideals, so stop being so selfish!"
The moment he spoke those words he realized that he had gone to far, but before he could even say anything the woman softly spoke, grabbing the edge of her desk as her hand turned white as the desk started to buckle under the pressure.
" Get out---"
" Hayate, wait. I'm just---"
" GET OUT!" She roared, her gaze piercing every mental defense he could come up with, making it impossible for him to speak up anymore. He slowly walked backwards as she trembled behind her desk until he found the door. he excused himself as he fled the room.
Her muffled crying voice echoed inside his head as he fled down the hallway.
-----------
"------- A hero is someone who protects others right? A real hero is one who can safe everyone, making sure that everyone is happy. But I know that every time I save someone, another person somewhere else is never saved. And even those who I can save might never become happy. Even now I still believe that the ideal itself isn't wrong. But for those girls-------"
The graveyard remained silent for a few minutes, as the snow slowly started to cover the landscape. in the end Shirou continued.
" I know they care for me in a way that many would be jealous of. But I made a promise, and the path I decided to follow is one that ends in a wasteland of steel and smoke. Nobody but me can travel towards it till the very end."
In response the grave remained silent, so Shirou quickly continued.
" Thats why I hopes that they would eventually understand. Back when we were young everyone laughed at my dream, and while it annoyed me I could live with it. But they------"
He paused, as he tried to find the words to describe what he felt.
" they care too much. How can they think that my life is worth more then the ones I can save? I want to tell them that they are wrong, but I can't! Even though every life should be evenly valuable, why is it that they have become so----"
Again he paused, as he shook his head to clear his mind.
" I wonder when their smiles started to become so bright in my eyes. " he eventually muttered as he used his hand to free his hair from the blanket of snow that had settled down on it. But the smile faded soon as he asked his next question, more to himself then to his father.
" I wonder when their tears became enough for me to hate myself over and over again."
------
The entire debacle with Hayate had left Shirou in a unpleasant mood. So when Nanoha suggested a light sparring match, under her supervision , to cheer him up he had eventually agreed, if only to get it out of his mind.
Let it be known that going into battle against the White Devil half-heartedly is something no man can keep up without getting blasted. Also, someone should really take the time to explain the concept of ' light sparring maches' to that girl.
" You're full of openings today Shirou!" Nanoha cheered as she dodged several projections aimed at her with a simple evasive maneuver, before launching several pink beams towards her opponent. Shirou dodged the attack, which slammed into an building. the simulated structure tippling over due to losing part of his foundations, causing a huge dust cloud as an result.
" and your boasting gives your location away!" He replied from within the newly created fog of war, as Nanoha realized that she played right into his hand. Enkidu shot out of the dust-cloud and wrapped itself around her legs, binding them together before Shirou pulled her down. As the dust finally cleared itself she found herself bound to the ground as Shirou straddled her as he smiled and----
[she was lying in a white snowy field, as a cold wind blew trough her hair]
A familiar warm wetness flowed from a reopened wound on his abdomen and dripped onto her barrier jacket, as white uniform was slowly stained with small red dots ---
[------it's okay Nanoha, you're safe-------]
Shirou's smug smile turned into a look of surprise as Nanoha turned pale. Soon the girl was hyperventilating as she desperately tried to get free from the chain and out from under him, tossing aside all control and tactics as she started to panic. It almost seemed as if the girl was having a panic attack, and soon he dispelled the chain as he tried to calm her down.
" Nanoha! get a grip. It's okay, I'm here!-----"
[------it's okay Nanoha-----]
Not only did his words not reach her, it even seemed to make thing worse as the girl's struggling increased. He didn't even notice the fact that she was covered in his own blood until he gave her some room, which she quickly used to crawl away, after which she eventually managed to to calm herself. But the sight of her tears escaping her eyes as she trembled on the ground hurt him more then any of her attacks had done so far.
This time he didn't resist as she pulled him along with her to have him checked out by Shamal. The look in her eyes brutally pushed away any complaint he had, even if Shamal was going to eat him alive.

As the snow fell the man continued his confession to the dead-----
To Be Continued?
AN: My muse left me while writing this part, so I'm posting this while I search for a new moment of inspiration. I'll write Fate's part and the conclusion later I guess

It's "Enkidu", fraggle.
Other than that, good work.
“Evil or not, I refuse to accept this 'fate'.”
Spoiler:
Quite angsty...incredible work as always Fraggle. Looking forward to the rest.
I just need to find a good bridge between what I've wrote and the flashback with drunk fate giving Shirou his ' what the hell hero' speech, which will most likely look like the ending of the recent 'fakers route snippet'.
Illya is best servant
Great, then we get depressed Hayate who buries herself in her work, nanoha who's memories eventually lead to a mental breakdown after getting covered in Shirou's blood one time to much, and Fatedrinking herself to her grave, whyle she hates herself for letting Shirou follow his delusion like her mother did.
Orphan Vivio ?
ideas for WaFF snippets:
#1 Slumber madness:
After Kiritsugu dies and Shirou getsabductedadopted by Momoka he suffers from nightmares, as the memories of the fire of Fuyuki return. He tries to hide it but Nanoha catches on.
Her solution: Slumber party with everyone invited.
cue Shirou suffering from a typical girl's slumber party, with only Yuuno as male reinforcements.
Yuuno flees in ferret form after 2 hours, to Shirou's dismay.
The result is a dolled up Shirou lying on a futon surrounded by the enemies: a snoring Alisa, a sleep talking Hayate, a very movable Nanoha ( who ends up with her feet in his face several times) and Fate using him a a pillow.
But in the end Shirou sleeps like a baby :P
Idea #2: Master for a day
The Aces lend Shirou their devices for a day so he can see how nice it is to have a trustworthy companion like they do. During those three days Shirou gets a new perspective on the girls trough their companions, while the devices get one on Shirou's life.
