lol, it was just a message to support indie games. No new announcement.

Still, given the mentions (Rimworld, FTL, Oxygen not included) I suppose whatever Studio BB will be making will be along what those game are like, survival 4X-lite. Maybe.

I came to this stream expecting some news about Studio BB and ZUN and what their making

I'm leaving with a chaotic English stream, and a new Unity Eva game. And some cool games to check out I guess.

Yeah, I didn't get anything I was here for but it was a fun night.

Oh yeah, this was a ton of fun to watch while I'm still locked up. The English stream was a blast, given the hosts had went live with zero prep time, no script and no info about what games were coming up, and only got that info halfway through and started translating stuff on the fly, reading descriptions of games that ranged from being a line long to a full page of pseudo-philosophy (Jason's reading of Everything's page, and complaining about how long it was was hilarious), and some that had zero info and they had to make something up about them, to the ones that clearly had the wrong description copy+pasted on. I hope the November stream is just as equally bananas as this one!

The Studio BB news was interesting in just getting to know what games Niinou is keeping in mind and want to make. Given his portfolio, it does make sense he'd like FTL and Rimwold (and the frustrating mess that is Oxygen) but I don't know yet if that is something that will come out of Studio BB yet. But still cool to know.

To be honest, and I don't mean to sound miffed, but anyone who expected anything, or even the people who are like "I didn't expect anything but am still disappointed", really only have themselves to blame, because the only relation this had to TM was that it said Kazuya would "share a message" with the audience, and that's exactly what he did. That part of the announcement wasn't even near the "game announcement" description of the event either.

"ended up like this" is pretty disingenuous though. The stream itself was good for what it was (an indie showcase mainly focused on japan releases), and I found the english restream especially funny trying to keep up with the rapid-fire announcements. There just wasn't a TM announcement.
