The Tsukihime manga was great though.
It's okay, if you ignore how the quality drops so hard throughout it.
Spoiler:
Tsukihime was freakin TT in japan, for waht i read. TM attitude seems unreasonable even from a pure business standpoint
Well, this Mysterious Neco X thing better be something good, because TM is about to truly alienate its grognard audience if it's not.
Then the lack of care is even weirder. I said the business because a justification could be "it would not made as much money as fate" but then i see the interest in tsukihime is pretty much alive, and TM brand is so strong currently thanks to FGO, you coud sell a not fate thing just fine, is not 2012 anymore . i said this because some poeple say mahoyo flopped and that was like a breaking point in TM story, when they started to just not care about anything not fate
Mahoyo flopping may be partially due to difficulties with translation and higher market expectations due to other TM products, while also competing with the same.
In the former case, there's some interaction between the domestic and foreign markets. The foreign EL market has a broader reach and can maintain interest. See international interest in Tsuki. There's a bit of a feedback loop due to interactions online over a given topic keeping interest in said topic alive. Right now, that's basically limited to francophones and JP speakers, as I understand it.
On the second point, it's having to compete with what's essentially a constant feed of Fate content, starting with EXTRA-verse, Proto, and Apoc content, and now with El-Melloi, SF, Requiem, and GO. There hasn't been all that much "quiet" to mull over Mahoyo the way there was with other old content. Instead, Nasu fans have been pushed from one product to the next pretty quickly of late, almost exclusively in the Fate direction.

There are some details about those works that should be adressed.
First, EXTRA-verse and FGO consumers are very diverse, with much of them being anime only, so as long as you make adaptations, they will consume it.
Then, we have things like Proto, El-Melloi, SF and Requiem, which are LNs in general. Their public would be indeed a strong competition, however, aside from maybe El-Melloi and Requiem, they're all works that don't have a stable frequency of releases or have some special problem that takes too much time to release, so as long as Tsukihime is released between releases, that would be a no brainer.
It would probably even be nice because they would have something else to read while waiting.
So I guess "Grand Phantasm" is just like Prisma Phantasm and it's not actually Carnival Phantasm 2. Didn't even get to see any non-Grand Order characters. Fucking lame...
