Buff when entering work as long as you can keep the buff going, which if an opponent never gets a turn can be forever. So Code Cast is really strong.
if CEs reset, any 3hit invun/dodge or guts CE would make you functionally immortal
also I only did this once but I think if you link up (ie bring more than one servant to a battle), you get multiple turns? At least, when I accidentally ended up with 2 in the fight and therefore didn't have herc brave chain available I got a second turn
I like this game mode, hope they expand on it in the future (they won't)

Honestly the way that buffs and debuffs work is incredibly wonky. Skill cooldowns go down on boardturns but effect cooldowns only go down in combat, but debuffs go down on your turn. This has several very unintuitive results, starting with the fact that stun/charm does nothing if you are not going to take a counter in that same combat.

I think the reason for this is that some 'every turn' effects would have been too much bother to code, eg. Summer Kiara's first skill. But Prisma Universe/Bath of the Moon Goddess will still heal you on your turn in combat, because those effects 'happen', and not end, much like 'gain stars at start of your turn' can be abused to hell if you can get it started multiple times.
The optimal strat:
Other Servants' turns contribute to the cooldowns of all your other Servants whilst not costing the "away" Servants' buffs so it seems to work out in your favor. Seems like it is good to just pop buffs, especially damage buffs, turn 1 because there seems to be no real reason not to.
Idk why they make team cost so low tho.
Stall strats work better if you use a pair instead of everyone going solo.
I let Lakshmi attack Billi for fun and ended my turn with Dodge. The next time she attacked dodge was still active. Pretty fun defensive strat.
I hope they end up adding some gimmicks to the battle, like some nodes adding negative effects if you start a battle in them or positive effects that only work on the enemy, just to add some variation in this new game mode.

I hope they don't. The thing is already a pain to begin with. Love the idea, but hate how it is executed.
If they refine it more I could see this mode being added to the dailies. People have been - correctly - complaining about stagnation of the downtime "content" for a very long time so this could be a new game mode they make accessible at all times. It could become to FGO what the Arcarum is to GBF.

Stage 3 you got an Extra slot, two Lancers and 1 Assassin. Pretty much QSH and Cu's walk in park

Oh yeah, there are some nodes with buffs such as Guts and instant 100% NP charge, if you feel not mean enough to Meuniere

Meuniere came at us with Arthur, Jeanne, Waver, Astolfo and Ashwattama
Well, the AI acted a bit more smart this time. A bit. It managed to block me from trying to kill Meuniere for a while, until it decided to give up and make Jeanne open a path for no reason LOL.
I'm actually considering using Ortheanus Mashu for these quests, her damage boost would actually allow her to kill Servants easily, as I don't feel like the defense boost is helping me as much as her Invincibility, which she has in both forms.

Mashu didn't do anything this time because enemies never reached her and Guda at start point.
Kama went straight to Muniel while Leonidas was holding other servants.
Event has brought lots of amusing things in & out of game.

..well, I'd still rather have them TOO, but...
Jeanne Alter carved a bloody path of destruction through Ash, Jeanne, and Waver to kill Meuniere. The best part was when Saber approached her when she was within range of killing Meuniere and then fled, because he knew better.
Also Kama murderized Astolfo without a single scratch, RIP 3rd-rate Servants.
