Baal and Bennett aren't similar in the slightest. Sara and Bennett are somewhat similar, except Sara is worse in every way (until c6, and then she's good in a team with an electro carry or sub dps).

Yea it was rushed af. They can make it more interesting like Ayaka/Kamisato was found to be against Vision Hunt decree then hunted. The Rebellion part is also shit too, we're basically just go to their camp and go our own way again not long after that. Also after we met Yae again everything just resolved like that

Hadn’t thought about it, but those are some pretty good points. The whole Sangonomiya arc did feel really poorly executed.

Ayaka’s character quest kind of ruined her, too because it sacrifices everything else about her on the altar of self-insert shipping. She and Thoma felt like a boxed set, but apparently she has no friends. And then the second you finish her character quest and move on to continue the story, she says Thoma is one of her closest friends. I’m… just going to pretend her character quest is non-canon so that I don’t have to feel weird about using her so often. She’s just such an effective fighter.

Now that I AM thinking about it, La Signora was advertised as the Inazuma arc’s Fatui villain, but only showed up right at the end, and honestly the only thing that she did was show up, gloat, and seemingly die. I have my doubts since her real body isn’t what we see most of the time, it’s that flaming cyclone she turns into for one of her attacks. Or at least, that seems like it would be closer to her true form, going by her lore.

To be fair, there were a few ideas that have potential. Scaramouche being the Shogun prototype is interesting, and seems like something that might have been planned from the start, he also seems a lot more dangerous than the previous Harbingers we’ve met, considering that to him, it wasn’t about profiting off of the sales of delusions, he just found it hilarious to lead thousands of people to their deaths.

I haven’t played Raiden’s character quest, but so far, Ei seems a lot more likeable than her avatar, and it’s a shame that we can only play as ‘the Raiden Shogun’ and not ‘Ei’ herself.
