If ignorance is bliss, then the path to paradise must be one spent studying mystery. That paradox is the life of a Magus.

The year is 2025. About 20 years ago, the Great Holy Grail War ended and the Yggdmillennia Clan which participated as the Black Faction was destroyed and disbanded. But a few years later, a new organization was born from its ashes, comprised of its remaining members unable to accept their loss. Creating a New Yggdmillennia Clan, they’ve completely separated from the Mage’s Association and are determined to become an organization worthy of competing with their sworn enemy.

You are a young magus who has just recently joined the New Yggdmillennia for personal reasons. As part of your initiation, you are being made to enroll at Haven, an academy for magi, the New Yggdmillenia’s version of the Clock Tower. There, you’ll find a bevy of magi like you who have, for each their own reasons, found themselves in this cesspool.

Those without power, those without history, those without purpose, and those without a place to belong. This is the home for those pitiful losers who were unable to accept the conventions of the Association and yet were unable to abandon their pride as magi.

Clinging on desperately to their last hopes, they march forward in all their shame and pity.

This is the story of those who were unable to become inhuman.

Welcome to Magician Raising Project V, a new Visual Novel Quest centered around the Yggdmillenia Clan after the Great Holy Grail War in Apocrypha. In this novel, one-of-a-kind simulation quest, you will play as a magus navigating through his school years in hopes of becoming the ideal magus – a full-fledged magician. At the same time, enjoy the many misfits you meet along the way, magi like you who have for some reason ended up in the sticks. Can true friendship and love be born from a group of inhuman killers? That’s up to you!

Unlike most conventional Quests you might find on this forum, Magician Raising Project V will be a Visual Novel Quest combining the interactive choice-voting of Quests with the textual-visual fusion of a Visual Novel. To elaborate, the Quest will be released in Visual Novel Chapters that you can play online. At the end of each chapter, there will be a major choice you and other readers can vote on which will determine how the story progresses.

Q: Do I need to have experienced Apocrypha to play?
A: It would be helpful, but it’s not necessary

Q: How do I access the Visual Novel Chapter?
A: There will be a big “Click here to play” button that will lead you to the chapter.

A: As it’s a browser-based VN, it might take some time to load assets. Please be patient.

Q: How long will it take for the Quest to update?
A: Due to the format, making each chapter is a lengthy process. Updates will be less frequent.

Q: Did you draw the art?
A: No, all assets have been stolen graciously borrowed from more legitimate sources. All assets used will be credited.
