I'm stuck at a bad end and all walkthroughs I find can't seem to be of any use.

Actually it turns out that the game hates branching off the main route. It killed me and the girl's who's route I had chosen precisely because I was actually doing things right! Judging by the walkthrough I'll have to endure one bad end after another heroine after heroine, until I finally reach the main route.
I think I'm going to drop this one- I understand a game being really really difficult but not being given a fighting chance, so to speak, unless I follow the walkthrough step by step is boring and make sit much less fun than being able to solve it on my own.
P.S. I was talking about the first bad end. Cruor. Prez-chan caught my eye, I tried following her route, I actually did some detective job right and deduced that she is part of the whole black egg mumbo-jumbo. I even saved her from committing suicide and then the killer takes me out from behind, tortures her to death before my eyes and lops my head off. Because I actually did something right. Bah!

That's what an utsuge is hahahaha. And yeah, I liked Orihime too. Well, the utsuge (the ones where heroines definitely die off) I normally like are the ones where you choose one girl and everyone else dies off (or gets raped senseless >_>) but this one was one where if you choose someone else- well, you're most likely gonna end up tortured and dead. So I normally go out of my way to dislike the heroine that's forced to you (even though I actually like Touko, her being forced damaged my opinion of her) and like someone else during situations like this.

No, an utsuge is not a game where "everyone dies off", they're games where the express point is to depress the player. Kara no Shoujo is not an utsuge, it is a mystery. Similarly, even though it is depressing, Saya no Uta is primarily horror, not an utsuge. Often, utsuge is an overused term where "nakige" fits more properly. A nakige can have a good or bad ending, but they also make you sad, and that's a big part of it but not the focus. Key Visual Arts novels are seen as they quintessential nakige visual novels.

No. The term here fits. No matter what heroine (except for one) is mutilated and killed.
The thing I was referencing is Kusari. Where when you start choosing a heroine Kishida then captures one other heroine at a time and rapes/tortures (he raped a heroine poured gasoline on them and put a lighter on top of a poll and put them in a place they can't move) them infront of cameras to get you to go find him/cause psychological trauma.

That's... that's still, technically, not an utsuge. Utsuge is a strangely specific category that's easy to jump over. People dying does not an utsuge make. It's all about the emotion and the set up. What many VNs miss is that set up that makes it an utsuge instead of anything else.
