Wry laugh at the obligatory Lancer deaths.
Genuine chuckles at a fair chunk of the other material, which is about what I expected. Nice to have Gudako for once (no, Riyo doesn't count).
It was nice to see Gudako and Chacha atop Nobbus. It was a pity to see Euryale but no Stheno, though.
I only got about one joke in two, but it seems to be mostly true to the spirit of the original, at least. Not a fan of this Gudako though.

Granted, come to think about it, these Lancer deaths... kind of lacked oompha? They used to be so visceral and pull no punches, while these ones feel... kind of too subdued and peaceful to have the same comic effect. They fall down a trapdoor, there's a light (yes, I know it's a nod to the game, but still, it doesn't work in this context) and that's it.
It's not the same as being brutally slammed down by Herc to the point of becoming hilarious, for instance.
mmmmm..... she's like a sanitised version of Gudako... =_=
Pretty grim premise. And eating the prisms of the Cus...
BEHOLD! THE SIG OF GOLDEN TRUTH! Pillaged from McJon, Tsukikan et al.
Getting a better look at the Calvary scene, I can appreciate the thought put into some of the match-ups. Loli (Jack, Salter, Abby) vs onee-san (Astraea, Coatl, Melt) and double mount (Bradamant on Astolfo on Hippogriff) vs double mount (Sitonai on Shirou on Basaka) really stood out.
Why did they feel compelled to put that in two scenes and a still?
Watched it. Well, it was exactly what i expected is all i can say. Really lacks the novelty value of carnival phantasm when these characters do this kinda shit all the time in the game itself.
I really liked it, I thought it was pretty funny.
Spoiler:
Now that I watched the subtitled version, I'm under the impression they actually can't show the same amount of violence as before? The 'Standards and Practices' comment, if the translation was accurate, would seem to indicate so. Maybe they could be more graphic with Orion's deaths (which actually felt much more like Lancer's old deaths and thus were funnier) because he's just a stuffed animal.
Orion and Buff Orion can both share that role, since this even features Odysseus.
do we know how many episodes we are expecting to get i want a full season ofc but you know i doubt it
To be fair, what kind of monster would allow their spouse and child live in a ruined Earth with everyone else dead? Many would think that a worse fate than death itself.
