On the Sakura note, I think that she'd already learned to bear with the rapes by Shinji (not that she should have). The game leads us to believe that Sakura had been tolerating Shinji's freak moments throughout her entire life, probably because she had a very low opinion of her own body.

It's only after she has sex with Shirou that she recovers a smidgen of assertiveness, and then comes in Shinji like the hammer that's gonna bring down the nail that stuck out, saying that he's going to hurt Shirou by telling him all the awful things he has done to Sakura. Then you have Sakura firmly rejecting Shinji, whose shocked reaction leads you to believe that is far from the normal way the conversation usually plays out.

So I believe that Sakura's murderous intent wasn't something she usually had towards Shinji. It was something that boiled up in the spur of the moment out of a combination of 'he wants to hurt Senpai' and 'he wants to defile the tiny bit of happiness I was just given'. If Shinji hadn't been such a screaming baby about his lack of magecraft and been his 'calmer' personality, this probably wouldn't have happened as they are noted to get along well after the end of UBW.

Sakura is such a weird character sometimes. She seems to have a saintly patience and tolerance, even affection, for someone like Shinji who she should hate the living guts of. I guess it's because she understands him while Shinji doesn't understand her, so she knows that his situation is rather pitiful and can't bring herself to despise him.

Her Dark Sakura side makes a lot more sense, even with the mental corruption of Angra Mainyu bleeding through, you still see all the resentment she holds for her sister and even Shirou as well. She just keeps those kinds of feelings bottled up normally, I suppose.

You have to look at both the mundane and magical here. This started when she was 12 years old, and the game says she did resist him but you have to realize the situation here. She knows the dude is unhinged, but it would be hard to raise a stink and get help (I mean, her teachers have basically ignored from elementary to middle school that she was basically just slightly better than a walking corpse.). Zouken likely isn't going to help her put Shinji into juvenile hall, and she doesn't want to just subjugate and/or kill him(Nasu basically said her life would be better if she treated him like trash, but that is kinda bad how you have to crush someone underneath your heel to have a decent relationship because of THEIR hangups), on top of feeling responsible for what was basically taking his place (which she shouldn't).
Not really a saintly thing, it just that she knows he is a brat, but also saw how hard he worked, and it would be hard to suddenly just get into a legal battle with a family member at that age. And with the way CPS can work it would be more headaches in a time that she is also getting experimented on daily to get into a he said/she said bout with law enforcement.

Shinji changed mainly because of Rin and Shirou saving him despite his actions AND because he got fucked up badly at the end of UBW. So it took him getting his anus royally puckered for a change to occur. Nasu does say that had Medusa told her about his plans with the Bloodfort she would "make him even more of a wakame", so she does have a limit.

Like come on, they're some of the funniest shit I've ever read in a VN. Many of the phrases employed in the scenes have become integral part of the memetic culture of the fandom.

Well, some parts are funny. I do enjoy that after the I think the second sex scene with Sakura Shirou almost walks into the living room naked with a boner basking in afterglow.
And the Rin/Shirou scene was funny at the begging with the awkwardness of the stripping and foreplay, the holding Rin's mouth closed while jackhammering not so much.

The threesome scene I will admit was gold from beginning to end, though.

Also, keep in mind that the only reason she actually does this is not to protect herself... it's because she views herself as belonging to Shirou now. In a sense, this is also part of why she puts up with Shinji raping her in the first place; she views herself as having stolen his status and identity as the Matou's successor. Not because he's more powerful or anything. The scene makes this abundantly clear. Even half-trained and near-invalid, she's still able to just casually slaughter him. She's pitying him. It is all kinds of messed up, and just one part in a series of events that makes it clear Sakura is insane.

Shinji actually confirms that Sakura never stopped resist everytime he tried to rape her. He just always win and she usually give up.

Although Nasu never explain why she give up after resisted. We still have many ways to explain:
- She is actived by worms ( Zouken) and assaulted by Shinji - > has to resist both of them.
- She feels she was dirtied from the beginning, and doesn't have any reason to resist.

The last time is the only time she resist to the end ( Shirou gives her the reason to fight), and force Shinji to give up his assault ( and change to blackmail her).

You usually don't hate someone you really understand and feel pity for them.Even I don't really hate Zouken as I hate Tokiomi.

But, it doesn't mean you will not fight back against them. Sakura feels pity for Shinji, it doesn't mean she doesn't resist his assault. She just too weak ( both mind and physical) to defeat him until the last time.

But the trouble is, Shinji never revealed he was a good guy in FSN - although Nasu says that in the interview. " what he says" and " what he actually writes in the novel" don't really fix with each other.
