Wow, the new jujutsu kaisen OP and ED's are a real step down. I like the idea of what the ED is going for, and it actually looks really good, but the song dosn't seem to fit a shounen battle anime at all. It's way more in line with something you'd see in Fruits Basket.

Also it's really weird seeing Miss Hasshaku in Otherside Picnic, a week after everyone starts losing their shit at the 6'5 vampire lady in a white dress and sunhat in Resident Evil VIII. I can see how it comes about, Capcom wanting to make another Mr. X and turning to an urban legend about a giant woman for it. But both things happening within a week of each other is just eerie (or fortunate) timing.

I actually like the new Jujutsu Kaisen OP better than the first one. I do agree about the ED. That being said, I love the sheer number of vocal inserts we're going to get from an OST drop. Might even consider buying that shit.

Well, then there's plenty of sappy stuff for you, too. However, people don't watch Redo of Healer for those types of recycled scripts and interchangeable actors. As for myself, I love taking those "moral cliches" are turning them on their head and smashing them down, like a wrestling move. Every time that George Lucas says that anger over loss is a pathway to the dark side, I refer to Dragon Ball where anger over loss is the pathway to becoming a Super Saiyan.

Are you guys missing the whole point of Monte Cristo? That dedicating yourself only to revenge and nothing else will leave you a hollow shell of a person at the end? That even if you live to see the end of it, by then you'll have alienated everyone so what you have left is basically worthless? "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind?" Even the John Wick movies, which are almost as righteous revenge as you can get, end with the MC physically broken, and back in the middle of the underworld he almost killed himself leaving.

Another unique thing about the Count of Monte Cristo is that instead of love being a counterbalance to vengeance. Edmond ended up falling in love with Haydee, his partner in vengeance.

I think love still acts as a counterbalance to vengeance in the Count of Monte Cristo, since his love for Haydee prevents him from crossing more lines, and even inspires him to do some good things for others, like saving Valentine.

That's less of a counterbalance and more of a refiner. Like, instead of pulling in the opposite direction (Haydee doesn't want "the opposite direction" either), it gives him focus on being vengeful and not just a dumb asshole. Being vengeful but also being dumb about it is often why a lot of vengeful villains fail.

Back in elementary school, after a lecture from our health teacher about the dangers of drug use, such as cocaine, our homeroom teacher came in and asked us if we'd like some coke (like the soda). Wow, episode 3 of Cells: Black is all about dicks. I know I shouldn't laugh at erectile dysfunction but, when it's treated as the end of the world, I can't help it. Also everyone being saved by Viagra, with swelling inspirational music backing.

Then that downer ending. Amazing.

Digimon Adventure Episode 32:

Wow, that episode has got to be one of my favourites so far. Fangmon made his animated debut iirc here. Patamon actually lost the ability to go up the Angemon line (he'll probably get it back eventually though), the shot of all the Holy Digimon reinforces my theory that Devimon was formerly one too...and lastly, the writers actually went and had Patamon evolve into Pegasmon. I know the title of the episode kinda gave it away but I refused to believe it until it actually started happening.

I guess they don't plan on rebooting 02 then lol.
