It does, but I'm still quite frustrated that the zoomed in battle environments and models for humans and Pokemon look so good, yet those aren't the entire game. I'm also loving that Super Contests got a revamp that feels more active, in that you need to pay attention for the button inputs. Also, hearing all that Sinnoh music just hit me right in the nostalgia for 2010-2012 when I was playing Platinum, and I hate the development team for doing this to me yet not also giving Sinnoh a more comprehensive 3-D revamp.

If you can find the originals, go ahead. For a casual experience, it'd likely not make much of a difference, though I would recommend Platinum over DP. It's got a better regional Dex, more sensible gym progression, and meatier post-game.

You can access HMs through the Poketch now, do you still need to have the Pokemon in your team?
Within what I expected.
The temporary return of HMs will rustle some jimmies tho.
The Amity Square does look like it was actually improved, but it's a small feature I doubt many ppl will actually care.

I remember loving Amity Square in Platinum. Not like I'll buy this game. What a slap in the face this whole game has been. At least we have Legends...
Actually watched the trailer, and despite how much I disagree with the direction this game was taken, I could not help the flood of warm nostalgia for the days when I played the shit out of Platinum. Especially with Poffin mixing and the DPPT opening theme.

Geez, I still can't get used to the bobble-heads sprites in the overworld, especially when they zoom in super close and Candice's head looks massive.

I wonder if that Bidoof in the Surf is gonna be the only model for Surf or if it's gonna change for every Pokémon.
We do know every Sinnoh Dex Pokémon has an overworld model at least, since they upgraded the Amnity Square for that.
It's just... I don't really wanna always look at a damn Bidoof every time I surf across the water...

Platinum outfit as a Mystery Gift is a surprise, I honestly didn't expect it to be in the game at all.
That alone makes it interesting enough to consider. Still very disappointed by the overworked and it's chibi retro look. I feel old calling DS graphics retro.

NGL, I'm not a fan of this change. Roaming Pokemon were a pain but they were a good pain. They were a challenge that made those legendary Pokemon actually feel legendary. Introducing a whole new area where you just hit a button and out pops a legendary kills the hype, imo. At least ORAS mirage spots and USUM ultra-holes weren't available all the time.
