Recommend Me An Anime

So with Covid still being a thing, this will be the second year in a row where none of the three local anime conventions around me are going to be running. While the dealer floor can be easily subbed out for Amazon, and I can recreate the feel of a panel by going into the Gundam thread and trashing War in the Pocket, I really miss walking into a random room playing an anime I've never heard of and finding something cool. Or bizarre.

So throw out some obscure recommendations for me and at the end of the month I'll toss them into a randomizer and watch the first two/three episodes.

I know I could probably just hit the random button on MAL a bunch of times and save a bunch of effort, but I'd probably just end up with SAO and other things everyone's already seen, and I want the stuff that isn't the normal go-to responses.

Well I've never even heard of it, so it works for me.

Actually so far the only one I've already seen is Concrete Revolutio. Although I read the Holic and Tsubasa manga's.

I knew it was hardly obscure, but I felt the need to mention it because a few days back I was talking with some anime-fan coworkers, all mid-30s or older, who had never seen the show - and it got me thinking to how long its been since Slayers was a current thing people talked or thought about.

like, to me, Sakigake! Cromartie Koukou is one of the crowning achievements of humanity, but I wouldn't recommend it to everybody
