I just don't think it will end. It's too big a cash cow. Sure the current arc will finish, but they'll just scrape together a new plot. Maybe make it a scavenger hunt, like finding all of Tamamo's tails or something. Something with lots of parts.

I think the game will prepare to wind down after the lostbelts conclude. They are intent on dragging this out. No one expected there to be a lostbelt 5.5 main story and if there is 6 months between LB6.1 and LB6.2 each chapter could take a year to release barring anymore surprises like LB5.5.

If they do anything after the lostbelts resolve then it will be like Epic of Reminent, a short fun, but a self contained story to send FGO off on.

of course if they did do a part 3 then it would probably involve preventing a bunch of bad futures. Angel Notes Collab?

We know LB6.2 is coming on July 14th, the date got announced the same day 6.1 got released
And most people is already expecting 6.5 and 7.5 chapters since it seems the .5 chapters are sort of thematic continuations of the EoR chapters and we are missing two of those, for Shinjuku and Agartha

the part arriving on july 15 is not what I mean by 6.2. I think there a to be continued like there was at the end of Atlantis. We beat camalot and then a second story chapter is announced for the rest of the lost belt.

Good question. Nasu had the balls to kill Hakuno at the end of Fate/EXTRA, but also had the unballs to retcon it with the end of CCC.

Wasn't Hakuno explicitly not dead after all, just in a coma somewhere and Rin/Rani vow to look for them after the end?

Granted, they wouldn't remember the events on the Moon Cell but they're still not DEAD dead.

i never played CCC but was it in a different universe so hakuno's fate didn't matter.

Since Nasu has a fetish for multiverse anyways what happens to hakuno doesn't matter. Look at fate extella, that story assumes that fate extra happened slightly differently in order to set up the story. This same assumption is made about extella going into extella link.
