Fucking Christ mate, best of luck with the endeavor
I can't read 14th century text even in my own language. Random would need to ask someone with a PhD on the subject.
Maeda Ryoutarou seems to have a few papers on Suwa Myoujin tho. That looks like a fine enough source.

You should probably ask on the discord of one of those groups that datamines the game. Atlas does it, I think.
Got some new ideas for both Create-A-Servant threads (3 and Modern). First up for the regular thread is Elffin ap Gwyddno from stories told about Taliesin, not to mention being the bard's foster father. Taking influence from his earliest legends he'd have poor Luck as well as being a possible Saber. Incidentally, Elffin's father Gwyddno Garanhir rules from Cantre'r Gwaelod, what people called the Welsh Atlantis (which might make for a good singularity event for Welsh/Summer Servants), at least right up until the drunken Seithenyn forgot to close the floodgates keeping the kingdom safe during high tide and the sea rushed in and covered the land.
Next is Daji's "sisters" (horrifying concept I know): Pipa Jing and Hu Ximei. They'd be Caster/Assassin hybrids like Daji and would pretty much be her assistants in whatever scheme she gets up to. Of course the rest of the cast from Investiture of the Gods is also available to be used if you feel like it, either in its original form or in some of their adaptions like Koei's Fengshen Yanyi video game series or the manga Hoshin Engi.
Now for the modern thread and based on a tumblr post I'll offer up four different characters from Arthurian stories made during the modern period: Saber Prince Valiant from the comic strip of the same name, Saber/Berserker Jason Blood/Etrigan from DC Comics, Saber/Caster Pip from the Grailquest gamebook series, and finally Assassin Hazel the squirrel from the film The Sword in the Stone. This set isn't meant to be taken seriously but rather as a casual method of getting the creative juices flowing if someone is in a rut.
Finally one could try making some of the original characters created by Koei for some of their games like Mei Sanniang, Kunoichi, Mitsuki, Iamarl, You Ji, Yoshino, Amalia van Kyre, Dominico Sanchez, Okatsu, Tamaki, Ziya, and Lady Jiehua (among others). Of course if Koei isn't your cup of tea there are other original characters to use like Sengoku Basara's Kasuga, Sakai Tadatsugu, and Itsuki, or Ravages of Time's Yuan Fang or Xiao Meng.
I really need to finish Hoshin Engi.
Ooh cool, I've been working on Zhiji Jing for a bit

Use Atlas. Select Traum in Wars. Go to any scene were they appears. Click [Figure] on their portrait for the face sheet.
I think most of REH's writings are in the public domain though, unlike C.S. Lewis or Tolkien, so his stuff wouldn't count as 'Modern Fiction' by Servant thread definition of the term.
Though 'no longer in the public domain' makes me think of Winnie the Pooh as a Servant (think someone actually did make a Christopher Robin Servant a while back)
So, I have something of a conundrum. I wish to adapt a certain figure from mythology into Servant format, however this particular individual was originally a deity set squarely in the Age of Gods but after the Christianisation of the land, he was euhemerized into a mere mortal man but later came to be a folk hero in his own right set in the Age of Man. Thus I am unsure whether or not to try and tie the two halves back together no matter how messy it might end up or to just leave them as separate people not unlike what happened with Siegfried and Sigurd...
Thoughts on what you would rather see?

Bunrei shenaniganry or its actually the son of the original god somehow.

Make them cousins with identically-named backstory/parents/name by pure coincidence. That's what I did for the Lancelot/Lanzelet debacle back in the day.
Serious answer, I say stick to the one you're more confident in. Stitching the two halves back together feel like the harder option imo, but go for it if you think you can create a coherent narrative from both worlds.
This is basically a Medb situation, right?
