Who do you think would make a good grand lancer? The candidates for grand saber and grand archer are always obvious but grand lancer isn’t so obvious.

Vajrapani, Thor , Jimmu , Sun Wukong ,Ashoka would for me some fitting candidates here.

Thor is a divine spirit so he is disqualified. Ashoka never used a spear so he is disqualified. Jimmu never used a spear so he is disqualified. Sun wukong could work tho but he is overdone.

Had Longinus not already been in Requiem, I would have genuinely assumed that he would have been the Grand Lancer.

But now my best guess would be Caster-Cú changed to G.Lancer with the spear Gungnir.

Fun thought: divine spirits can be summoned without a host if they used to be or became human. Odin disguised himself as human a bunch of time’s meaning that he became human for a bit meaning that he can be summoned without a host based on his episodes of concealing himself among the humans.

Thor is though greatly connected with that he were the protector of Humanity,Ashoka created many Pilars that can be interpreted asSpear , I made a Jimmu Lancer be more creative .

I doesn't understand why Longinus should be such a worthy candidate as outside Christian legends was he just a small Soldier nothing special.

It was the spear with whichs throw against the Vans introduced the concept of War into the world so a conceptual effect which reflect on that may be possible.

Why doesn't Wukong get disqualified for being a divine spirit?

Well there's a lot to wukongs legend. Overly Sarcastic Productions doesn't have an 8-part and still going series on it for no reason. The book is massive and while the writing quality certainly can be questioned the legend itself is famous for a reason. Wukong has some incredible powers and the message of his legend is not hard to tell.

That said, based on the legend I could easily find myself believing just about any class for him except saber. Even foreigner due to his legend being he is from space (fell from the sky and not even gods know who he is? Say hello to the worlds first ufo conspiracy)

The space angle is interesting but the Type-Moon version already has a somewhat defined origin as the stone monkey statue kept under a waterfall until it became a god (Maybe, I'm not remembering the details since it's been almost year and Wukong's past is not all that relevant to Ergo's story).

He is a amalgam like Being that werer inspired by many Monkey Gods of from the Indian Hanuman to various local chinese Monkey Gods which legends were still part of local chinese Religions that were later replaced by greater Faiths so in other words your argument is invalid . no offence but you arent right when i look into the presumably roots of Sun Wukong is the divinity strong here.

While I'm unfamiliar about other tales he might be involved in they would only add to his legend and potentially qualify him for more classes. Well if we regard ancient legends i can only think of Herakless and perhaps once also varous legends of Thor in the germanic world .

That's true. Those two are also international legends... and actually thinking about it, peter pan is only big in the west. east, I don't think he's a name everyone knows. even sherlock to an extent isn't there yet

if we look at historic figures could Allexander the great and Julius Caesar as i read that there even in slavic legends the latter succeded in form of a sort of culture hero .

It’s funny that you should mention that as I occasionally think about re-tooling my Wright into a Faker of Sherlock now that that Class exists but I never get around to it.
