as much as i share a viewpoint with the rest, i can only say that you can only get about putting the "messiah" in "messiah king arthur" is via the "king asleep in the mountain" route, and many, many existing servants already share that trope with arthur....

I am more going on the route of Arthur having a lot of weird jesus symbolism and conflating his status as saviour of Britain with Jesus status as saviour of the world via Britain=world.
I just need to find a way of making Outis's kit interesting because this is more of a character study about what war does on the human psyche.
The Anti-Odysseus in the last rework contest could be a hint, but it feels like that "get home, no matter what" mindset could make for a cool Berserker (and possibly Voyager hybrid?) rather than the more vanilla Assassin/Archer.
Ody's Single-Mindedness (Love) would probably be twisted into something closer to Mental Pollution in this case, add some effects about desensitizing himself to violence, moral quandaries, and other atrocities, and that's one personal Skill done with.

I kinda want to do his lore as a series of journals by him as he descends further and further away from the light of civilization. He starts out confident and honourable and slowly descends into madness and mentally shattering until he is left a mute hollow shell of a person without a name, voice or face. Kinda pull a page from Apocalypse now as that is my favourite film. I think one of his skills would be a curse that puts insane amounts of roadblocks on him in his journey but would also give him insane amounts of willpower and determination.
I also want to do a teucer with Childe as his FC now for some reason.

Skill 1: Something like Gatekeeper/Watcher's trial-assigning Skill, but usable only on himself and by extension the Master, who will inevitably be dragged into his "Odyssey". Reducing his luck to E- is a given, though you might be able to come up with other effects.
Skill 2: The aforementioned Mental Pollution, best described through his journals like you said, worsening his mental state the longer he is summoned, but giving him insane willpower. Eventually he just shuts down on the inside and remains in pragmatic, calculating general mode 24/7, seeing anything and anyone else merely as enemies to be killed, obstacles to be surmounted, or at best, assets to utilize. The twist is that this Mental Pollution is also infectious to the Master and gradually gets them to adopt the same mindset.
There's a story you can tell from those two Skills alone.
Edit: Another character trait I just thought of is that he never takes off his armor and helmet, ever in this Class. He's always on high alert all the time, to the point of paranoia, not to mention the symbolism of a man locked (or willingly locking himself) inside his war armor, afraid of what could happen the moment he takes them off to display the tiniest hint of vulnerability... and maybe on the bond CE you can put how he keeps the helmet on cuz' he feels unworthy to show his face to his wife in this state (taking it off by force would set him into classic Berserker rage). And there you have your angst.

Another thing I want to do is not give him any dialogue (Or make his dialogue incredibly cold and mechanical) and just tell his personality through his journal. That can really show that he has lost all touch with reality
Either works. Keeping him silent would play into his paranoia, fearing that any word he says could be used against him. Cold, mechanical dialogue could emphasize the idea that the human Odysseus is truly dead in this Class.
Why would famous shit-talker Odysseus become mute
Besides, he's far sadder while threatening to kill his childhood caretaker than just being a Vietnam Veteran stereotype
To hammer the point in that Odysseus has truly become mentally and spiritually dead inside and is basically a corpse dragged forward by sheer willpower and spite.
