Yeah, the part where she toreadors him around with the apron and the narration keeps ranting about her hypnotic skills was straight up silly. But at least it justifies Saturday Night Fever being so busted in melty, I guess.
I wish I were surprised that it took someone like Arc to see what a pill he was that early. But I didn't anticipate the in-story justification. I would've thought it was something like that he's good at manipulating people who have a human psychology, and failed with someone who was never human in the first place.

The others seemed ridiculous, but for some reason I found that plausible enough with the seeming extra focus on side characters.
How does a 3 second clip of Arihiko saying "Good Morning Megane-kun" count as extra focus on side characters?

TBH Arihiko stole the show in OG Tsukihime too, it's just that he mostly disappeared after the main plot started.
